Not since the days of the Gladston Holder columns in the Barbados media have Barbadians been kept abreast of the occurrences which involve the Council for Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission or even the Bilderberg family influence on world politics. Barbadians, including the media appear to be very comfortable ferreting world news from CNN and the BBC.

BU like millions around the world have been enthralled by the new entrant to the White House. President Barack Obama is without question a departure from the old guard. Some say any perceive change should only be taken as token. Many of the appointments in the Obama government represent prominent individuals who have worked in Washington in the recent past and are regarded as part of the status quo. For example, there is the influential position of Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner, the former head of the Federal Reserve of New York. How can Geithner be responsible for changing Wall Street when he is a product of the system?

The video above is one hour and 53 minutes long and paints an intriguing picture of Obama and the shadow government which runs the US government. While BU is inclined to ask questions we are not sure we fully buy in to the positions expressed in the video.

    It seems to me, from what the Christians presented from the historical evidence, that all these other myths,(characters) spoken bout before this Jesus, were all fulfilled in him, from what happened since his death and resurrection, sounds faily conclusive to me, as I research a few of the facts, it really seem difficult to refute.

    From what is written, it appears the Jews were looking for Messiah, as foretold in many Old Testement Scriptures, but, a messiah that would bring political change from the bondage they were experiencing under Roman rule, a king that would take over, so that when this lowley jesus made his appearence, riding on a donkey, the jews rejected him, not realizing that jesus came to set them and others free from their sin, and have eternal life. This seems to be the reason why the majority did not accept him as their messiah.

    Yes it is funny indeed aint it? After all, all the Jewish parents were to carry out these instructions given in Deuteronomy 6: 6-9

    6. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7. And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
    8. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
    9. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

    But from a cursory reading of the Gospels it seems that the Jews of Jesus day seem to have convenient memories.

    If you read John’s Gospel, for example, you will find that the Jewish leaders remembered this prophesy from Deuteronomy 18, very well.

    Deuteronomy 18: 15 & 18 reads thus
    15. The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
    18. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

    Very early in Jesus’ public ministry we find the Jewish leaders asking John Baptist if he (John) was this prophet. See John 1:21 21. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

    Note the term THAT prophet.

    In John 5: 46-47 Jesus said this to the Jewish “Sabbath Police” . For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

    In other words he is saying I know that you have read Moses’ writings, and that you respect his sayings. But you do not seem to understand the things that Moses wrote about me.

    Please note the several prophesies that predicted this hardness of heart among the Jews, and the places in the NT where these predictions were fulfilled. You see when light is given, and it is refused, the light is taken away and replaced by darkness. To those that embrace even the slightest light, more light is given.

    Prediction verses
    Isaiah 6:9 He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
    Isaiah 43:8 Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, And the deaf, even though they have ears.
    Jeremiah 5:21 ‘Now hear this, O foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see; Who have ears but do not hear.
    Ezekiel 12:2 “Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.
    Fulfillment verses
    Matthew 13:14 “In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says, ‘YOU WILL KEEP ON HEARING, BUT WILL NOT UNDERSTAND; YOU WILL KEEP ON SEEING, BUT WILL NOT PERCEIVE;
    Luke 8:10 And He said, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is in parables, so that SEEING THEY MAY NOT SEE, AND HEARING THEY MAY NOT UNDERSTAND.
    John 12:40 “HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM.”
    Romans 11:8 just as it is written, “GOD GAVE THEM A SPIRIT OF STUPOR, EYES TO SEE NOT AND EARS TO HEAR NOT, DOWN TO THIS VERY DAY.”

    But guess what, the Jews have in general not had a “funny” or a “fun” time for missing these remarkable prophesies unfolding before their very eyes over the last 2000 or so years since Titus destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70.

    This is their status today as recorded in Hosea 3:4 4. For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:

    Maybe folk today should not miss the other remarkable prophesies that are unfolding before our very eyes today. What do you think?

    Willy Nilly & Anonymous, man you all like you know this thing tall, I in no scholar, but de Lord give me a little commonsense, and what you writing from the record of the Old Testament, cannot be denied it obviously come true in the New Testament, I cant understand how any honest person could reject this.

    Tell me, Willy Nilly & Anon, them verses that you quote from Matt. 13:14, Luke, John, and romans, these things only apply to the jews, cause it seem to me, that this blindness, and deaftness, in not understanding, like it also affect Not Saved Hopi and people like them, is that correct also?

    1. What about the many civilizations who exsisted before the Bible was discovered.
    2. What about the tribes who live deep in the jungles, far from civilization, who have no idea about God or the Bible as we do.

    These people have been living their live oblivious to any of this religion stuff for years.

    I am here watching a program on TV about women in the church. It is so ridiculous that in the face of all the scriptures against women preaching in church, these women re-interpreting the Bible to suit themselves.

    Would you believe that a passage which says that women should not teach and should be silent in the church, these women interpreting it to mean that they should not get into an argument at church. Well! Well! Well!

    Nothing more than Zoe and the rest of you fanatics do to justify their own particular beliefs.

    It is only a matter of time before we start throwing the Bible through the door. Certainly on the gender issue it has failed miserably. Women in the Church are actually there against all the teachings of the Bible. God never dealt with women and we calling God “He”.

    God felt that women were unclean, especially when they seeing their periods. Is this a true God that can’t even recognise “His” own work? No because it is not his work.

    It says be fruitful and multiply, yet the very vessel which will nurture the fruit is unclean? According to the Bible the woman is nothing; a mere vessel. You telling me that you truly believe that when we look and see the contribution women making? The book want throwing through the religious door and be seen as nothing but a fairy tale.

    It should be used as an example of darkness; an example of the way that mankind should never travel.

    I guarantee you that it will only be a matter of time before we see how fundamentally flawed this book is. It is based on ignorance, especially as it relates to women. Remember the white man used to argue that “negroes” do not have the ability to learn, etc. Well this is no different and points to the lack of knowledge about women by the Christian God. What? You saying that we know more than God did at the time?

    I listening for more excuses and attempts to make the Bible right and then I will look forward to the day when it can’t hold no more water. As far as I am concerned, this imposition on women is a deliberate part of establishing the principle of hierarchy. This is the most dangerous part of it and it is what keeps us black people in bondage up to today; yes, we may feel that we are happier slaves.

    There appears to be some tension in the world around religion in the world. Only this morning we watched an interview where the right wingers in the USA are concerned at the surrender to pluralism by Obama or so it seems to them. Our limited knowledge of the USA constitution speaks to ALL being embraced. It seems that the right wingers have posited the view that as a society built on Judea Christian doctrines it gives the USA the tolerance to accept and interact with all faiths.

    Interesting to say the least!

    Here is an interesting article (The End of Christian America) which appeared in the last edition of Newsweek magazine which highlights the dwindling support for Christianity in the USA. The big question is whether the diminishing support is because of relativism or an acceptance that the underpinning doctrines of Christianity can be questioned?

    “Christianity is by far the fastest growing religion in regard to new converts. The number of new converts to Christianity is TWICE the combined number of new converts in all the other tabulated religions, even if we take out those with negative numbers.”

    “The growth of New converts per year for Christianity is, 30,000,000, Islam is second with 25,000,000.

    “Christianity is the fastest growing religion, both in numbers of new converts. due to natural growth (birth minus deaths, as well as in numbers of new converts ( converts in minus converts out).” (World Christian Encyclopaedia).

    Christianity has grown in countries where people have endured severe hardship, especially Evangelical Christianity is growing at its greatest rates, while growth curves in the indulgent West are nearly flat. Consider, for example, the following reprorts.

    China:

    “It is estimated that 20 million Chinese lost their lives during Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Christians stood firm in what was probably the most widespread and harsh persecution the Church has ever experienced. The persecution purified and indigenized the Church. Mao Zedong unwittingly became the greatest evangelist in history.”

    El Salvador:

    “The 12 year civil war, earthquakes, and the collapse of the price of coffee, the nation’s main export, improverished the nation. Over 80% live in dire poverty. An astonishing spiritual harvest has been gathered from all strata of society in the midst of the hate and bitterness of war. In 1960 Evangelicals were 2.3% of the population, but today are around 20%.”

    Ethiopia:

    “Ethiopia is in a state of shock. Her population struggles with the trauma of millions of deaths through persecution, famine, and war. Two great waves of violent persecution refined and purified the Church, but there were many martyrs. There have been millions coming to Christ. Protestants were fewer than 0.8% of the population in 1960, but by 1990 this may have become 13% of the population.” (Operation World).

    Yes, David, relativism in America, cultural and moral relativism, is sweeping the States, from liberal High Court judges, to professors at University, the gay-rights agenda, the Pro-Choice agenda, over 40,000,000 babies were slaughtered from their mother’s wombs since Roe v Wade, in the early seventies; plus the removal of God’s ‘Ten Commands’ from many court houses, the prohibition of Prayer in schools, etc, etc, removing the very ‘One’ who blessed this greatest of nations.

    Now the exposure of the ‘Corrupt’ wicked, greed filled financial institutions, Almighty God is judging America, and ALL other nations, B’Dos is just another microcosm of this Godless age, our turn is around the corner, and has already started, REPENT, and turn to Almighty God, and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as He is the Only One that can see any of us through this unprecedented World Wide crisis.

    Willy Nilly presented a very good list of OT prophecies about Jesus that were fulfilled in the NT.

    The list below from COME & SEE gives a list of such prophecies whose fulfillment are recorded in John’s Gospel.

    The fact of fulfilled prophesy in John is another trend worthy of tracing which begins in chapter one verses 7 & 23. These verses are a fulfillment of Isaiah 40:3 & Malachi 3:1 respectively and corroborates these prophecies concerning John the Baptist’s role as the forerunner of Christ. The major significance of any fulfilled prophesy, and especially those which have to do with the Lord Jesus, is that they are abundantly more prophesies to be fulfilled with respect to his second advent as compared to his first. We can safely suppose that the fulfillment of these will as be accurately and be as reliably fulfilled. Since the unfulfilled prophesies of Christ’s second advent have associated with them certain dire consequences, it behoves all men, everywhere to study them and obey them so that they will be on His side when he comes to conquer and reign and rule.
    In John chapter seven we read of some hostility demonstrated by Jesus’ brother and some bad advice which they gave him because of their unbelief at this time. Acts 1:14 would indicate that after His resurrection they did believe and receive Him. Their initial unbelief was predicted by Psalm 69:8-9. That Jesus would be presented with gifts was foretold in Psalm 72:10. We tend to remember the gifts of the Magi as recorded in Matthew chapter but we must remember the special gift presented by Mary of Bethany for the anointing of the Lord’s body for his burial. (John 12:3).The prediction of Zechariah 9:9 that Jesus would enter Jerusalem as a king riding on an ass was fulfilled exactly as recorded in John 12:14-16. “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.” Similarly Psalm 69:4 is fulfilled at 15:25
    ALL of these Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled by Messiah (Jesus) in John’s gospel
    were made hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years before Messiah was born. Looking in the face of how He literally fulfilled them all (plus hundreds more), it is an impossibility that He is not Messiah, Saviour of the world. The ONLY person…past, present or future…who could fulfill all these prophecies is Jesus Christ. A few others are tabulated below.

    This is nonsense about Jesus dying for someone’s sins. This is the white man’s teaching to justify his criminal nature and activities. Kill, lie, steal, rape, pillage, make desolate and motherless as much as you please and your sins will be forgiven because of His death. Kill someone for others sins and this continues today.     Hopi, I personally know many, many, wonderful, Black Christians, men and women,whose testimonies are no different to whites, Indians, or any other ethnic group, that Jesus Christ Alone, has set US, Black, White, Brown, etc, FREE from the Bondage and Slavery of SIN, in all of its terrible ways.

    The African Continent for decades now, has been having a tremendous outpouring of Revival through The Lord Jesus Christ, Millions of Africans are being Saved, and are Overjoyed as you see and read their Testimonies, no different to Muslims from Egypt, Irac, Iran, Jordan and other Middle East countries, Multitudes in South America, are being set free from the tyranny of Catholicism, almost the entire world 24/7 via Satellite are hearing the Gospel of Christ, as He said, when this Gospel is preached to all men, as a witness, THEN, shall the End come; its drawing nearer and nearer to that TIME, confirmed by all of the other Geo/political, Economic Crisis.

    There is, however, an uncommon scenario called situs inversus (which can occur in any ethic group) in which the left sided structures of the body are found on the right of the body, and vice versa. This is due to a failure of rotation during development.

You said that you can not understand how any honest person could reject this. Well it is very common for unlearned or ungodly men to reject the truth of the Scriptures, so that they can remain in thier sins.

    I can assure you too, that the verses I quoted concerning men’s eyes darkened and their understanding blighted so that they can not or will not believe and accept the truth, applies to everyone; not only the Jews. This phenomenon has clearly and obviously affected folk like Hopi, Rok and others.

    Simple Enough, don’t take Rok to serious. Ignore him, or you will go crazy. He is the only “theologian so called” whose interpretations include Jonah escaping in a submarine, the Lord descending on Mount Sinai in a spacecraft, and now astronauts.     Once you’re ready to ask the question, “does God exist?” here are a few observations to consider as you begin your search for an objective answer:

    Discoveries in astronomy have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the universe did, in fact, have a beginning. There was a single moment of creation.

    Advances in molecular biology have revealed vast amounts of information encoded in each and every living cell, and molecular biologists have discovered thousands upon thousands of exquisitely designed machines at the molecular level. Information requires intelligence and design requires a designer.

    Biochemists and mathematicians have calculated the odds against life arising from non-life naturally via unintelligent processes. The odds are astronomical. In fact, scientists aren’t even sure if life could have evolved naturally via unintelligent processes. If life did not arise by chance, how did it arise?

    The universe is ordered by natural laws. Where did these laws come from and what purpose do they serve?

    Philosophers agree that a transcendent Law Giver is the only plausible explanation for an objective moral standard. So, ask yourself if you believe in right and wrong and then ask yourself why. Who gave you your conscience? Why does it exist?

    People of every race, creed, color, and culture, both men and women, young and old, wise and foolish, from the educated to the ignorant, claim to have personally experienced something of the supernatural. So what are we supposed to do with these prodigious accounts of divine healing, prophetic revelation, answered prayer, and other miraculous phenomena? Ignorance and imagination may have played a part to be sure, but is there something more?

    The difference between me and you is that in Sunday school I did not accept the crap. You obviously did… but let me tell you something, the medical sciences have something called a placebo, which is not medicine but are given to people that are told it is medicine and they get better too.

    The moral of this story is that faith works with or without your Christ… but moreso it also works based on a lie. Yes, Christianity is a placebo just designed to get you to have faith but for ulterior motives.

    Yes there is a maker, but as Hopi said, the creator is no God. Those who hold up themselves as God are fake… and as a matter of fact I would go as far as to say, that any man who claims to be God is a liar. God is too vast and everything you see is a manifestation of the Creator.

    The creator communicates with everything all the time, every second or millisecond of the day. We do not have to work so hard to worship the Creator and we do not have to put up a face. That is the thing about Christianity, it is a face and if I had to rate the religions in terms of spiritual practices, Christianity would come last.

    It is full of hypocrites and false prophets. Doom and Gloom. According to Christianity you should not enjoy life and you should accept man made tribulations… and I hope you understand why religion is called the opium of the people; it numbs you, it makes you believe that after this life there is something else so man can do anything to you; a perfect formula that allows the elite to exploit people so they could enjoy a lavish life.

    Not to mention the priests, pastors, etc., are all about money. They make sure they exploit every member of their congregation talking about collection and tithes; for what? That is how they get their money and they have very little mercy on the poor who are expected to pay too.

    So you keep your christianity. You allow yourself to be exploited. I am just sorry that the Creator does not discriminate; does not make demands or insist on worship, because you would be damned… but your luck is such that even if you believe in the wrong thing, it really does not matter, this is not that kind of God and does not have to walk about demanding anything or thumping the chest like a lion saying I am God and seeking people to worship him, her and it, because there is nothing you can take from the creator to stop the Creator from being the Creator; no man or entity can be the Creator so I have no delusions about that.

    So you and your snobbish God should stop persecuting people. I wonder why most bibles have black covers? Could it be the darkness inside? Yes, traditionally, it is a black book and black to reflect the prejudices of white. Maybe that is a code warning white people to stay away from it, but being black, we see nothing wrong with the colour.

    Yes, there are many Gods, all of whom are fake, but there is only one creator and it certainly ain’t no Lord.

    Who made God?
    A bright five-year-old, when his friend asked, “Who made God?” answered Richard Dawkins’ query regarding “who designed the designer.” The child didn’t miss a beat, replying “God made his self!” Of course, the child did not understand that self-creation requires existing before you exist, which is meaningless. In contrast, biblical theologians have taught for centuries that God is eternal. Let’s consider this view logically.

    If there ever was a time that absolutely nothing existed, nothing would exist now.
    Something exists now.
    Therefore, there was never a time that absolutely nothing existed.
    The above three propositions comprise what is known in formal logic as a valid syllogism. A syllogism is simply a set of three statements. The first statement presents the major premise. The second statement puts forth the minor premise, and the third represents the conclusion, which necessarily follows from the first two premises in a properly constructed syllogism. The statements above represent what formal logic defines as a modus tollens syllogism. The basic format of such a syllogism is:
    If P, then Q.
    Not Q.
    Therefore, not P.
    Another way of stating the conclusion, “There never was a time when absolutely nothing existed,” is to remove the double negative and say, “There always was a time when something existed.”

    Who made God – What are our alternatives?
    The question that then bears asking is, ‘Just what has always existed?’ We have only two options: the material universe comprised of space, time, matter and energy, or an eternal and spiritual God, who exists separately from the material universe. Given that well-respected quantum cosmologists, such as Alexander Vilenkin, believe that science unequivocally shows the universe must have had a beginning at the big bang, that leaves only one other option, God. Since something must be eternally self-existent (not self-caused), and the universe itself does not qualify, the only logical conclusion open to us is that a spiritual, self-sustaining God exists and has existed eternally.

    Who made God – Logical Implications
    The logical argument for the eternality of God doesn’t represent the only flaw in Dawkins’ reasoning. Christian philosopher William Lane Craig notes that an explanation of an explanation (God’s existence) is logically unnecessary.

    In order to recognize an explanation as the best, one needn’t have an explanation of the explanation. This is an elementary point concerning inference to the best explanation as practiced in the philosophy of science. If archaeologists digging in the earth were to discover things looking like arrowheads and hatchet heads and pottery shards, they would be justified in inferring that these artifacts are not the chance result of sedimentation and metamorphosis, but products of some unknown group of people, even though they had no explanation of who these people were or where they came from. Similarly, if astronauts were to come upon a pile of machinery on the back side of the moon, they would be justified in inferring that it was the product of intelligent, extra-terrestrial agents, even if they had no idea whatsoever who these extra-terrestrial agents were or how they got there. In order to recognize an explanation as the best, one needn’t be able to explain the explanation. In fact, so requiring would lead to an infinite regress of explanations, so that nothing could ever be explained and science would be destroyed. So in the case at hand, in order to recognize that intelligent design is the best explanation of the appearance of design in the universe, one needn’t be able to explain the designer.

    Hopi, you way of looking at it is not right, cause you saying the opposite to the Truth, which is plain to see, it just does not make any sense what you are saying, you calling right, wrong, you calling good, evil, you calling Light, Darkness, and Darkness, as Light, it in making no sense at all.
