The recent statement by the representative of the DLP calling on the government to initiate a ‘pause for the cause’ and a response from the current BLP government for the DLP to get on board with the effort to persuade Bajans to be vaccinated has once again highlighted the challenge facing the country with regard to managing the Covid outbreak and protecting the population as best possible.

One mantra that has become synonymous with Covid 19 is the declaration to “follow the science”. But this declaration presents science as a body of knowledge which tells you what to do in any situation. However, what it misses is that more importantly, science is a method which human beings use to try to get a better understanding of how the natural and social worlds work so as to work out what to do. Unfortunately, this understanding of science as method is lacking from the government’s response to the Covid crisis. It is a feature that is common across the Caribbean, where government policies are simply copied from abroad, usually North America and Europe, and are not informed by any scientific studies conducted by Caribbean scientists on the actual impact of Covid 19 in the Caribbean.

But without such an approach, there will be no exit from the Covid crisis. Due to the struggles of our ancestors and Errol Barrow’s government, the descendants of the enslaved Africans in this country were given mass access to secondary education. Today, more than ever, we need to draw on our ability to think critically and question everything, to make sense out of nonsense, to find our bearings in the current situation.

Under pressure from local and global elites, the government has embarked on a policy of persuading Bajans to engage in mass vaccination in the hope that this will lead to an exit from the Covid 19 nightmare. To its credit, it has not succumbed to the pressure to embark on the insane policy of vaccine coercion, which is taking hold in the region and which is exemplified in Guyana, Antigua and St Vincent and the Grenadines. But does the policy of indiscriminate mass vaccination actually make any sense? To date, according to officially provided data, just over 3% of the world’s population have tested positive for Covid. That means that 97% have not. Of that 3%, just over 2% have died as a result of Covid infection. That means that 98% of those infected have survived. As a percentage of the world’s population, 0.064% have died as a result of Covid infection. With regard to hospitalisation as a result of Covid infection, there are no global figures currently available but data from the European Medicines Agency state that around 7% of those infected in Europe and the USA, some of the areas with the worst Covid 19 outcomes, have required hospitalisation.

The question then arises as to whether mass vaccination of everyone you can lay your hands on represents a rational or scientific response to the Covid threat. In the circumstances where Barbados, like other CARICOM countries and unlike Cuba, has no capacity to produce vaccines and so must spend its time trying to get hold of these internationally, the question arises as to whether it makes good sense to use your limited supply of vaccines vaccinating people who had a low risk of developing severe Covid in order to protect them from severe Covid. Isn’t that just a waste of vaccines? Would it not make more sense to focus your limited supply of vaccines on those who actually would benefit from them? But this is where following the science comes in. But here it will require following the science as method and not as a body of knowledge which tells you what to do. According to data published by the Covid Communications Unit, as of 9 September, Barbados has had 5651positive cases and 51 deaths. There is no publicly available data on the numbers who have required hospital care as a result of Covid infection. After over 50 years of independence, isn’t this a large enough data set for those in the Ministry of Health or in the research departments of UWI to apply science as method to identify the common factors among those who have become infected and those who have progressed to serious illness and death so that this information can be used to inform the policy to combat the virus and allow for more targeted use of the vaccines?

There are those who promote mass vaccination as the silver bullet that will allow us to return to normalcy, but is this belief based on science? The data from highly vaccinated countries like Israel and Iceland suggest otherwise. With regard to our own reality, the official data published on 9 September shows that 0.094% of the vaccinated population are currently in tertiary isolation in St Lucy compared to 0.246% of the unvaccinated population. Clearly vaccines are not a silver bullet and we will need to think more widely about prevention and treatment for those who are sick. In china, the health authorities make use of traditional chines medicine along with modern medicine to treat those who are sick and in Cuba they have made use of homeopathic medicine in the same way. We will need to think outside of the box with a focus on saving the lives of the small minority who are seriously threatened by the virus but to find solutions we will need our own scientists to take up their responsibility to society and begin to carry out science as method to provide us with answers to pressing questions rather than simply repeating what they hear from North America and Europe. Then we really can follow the science with regard to Covid 19.

  1. As far as the blogmaster is aware the spokespeople for government and health have been using the analogy of ‘Swiss cheese”to explain to Barbadians how the layers to protect oneself against the virus should be practised. All agree there is no silver bullet. After two years thee are some learning we all should take onboard, if we are sensible about it.

  2. COMMUNITY DRIVE GETS GOING.

To kick-start the COVID-19 community vaccination drive, mobile units drove into Deacons, St Michael, and Silver Hill, Christ Church, yesterday.
The vehicle was parked at the Deacons Resource Centre around 2:30 p.m., where 61 people had already received the jab, 60 of whom took Pfizer and the other the Sinopharm vaccine.
Today the community drive will continue in The Pine, St Michael, and Haynesville, St James, while tomorrow it will be in New Orleans, The City, and Maynards, St Peter.
A family of three women who live in Station Hill, St Michael, who did not want to be identified, said although they were hesitant at first, they decided to take the jab because they travelled often.
They were pleased they did not have to wait in a long line, which they said they witnessed at other centres.
Deacons resident Angela Corbin was also happy the unit travelled to her neighbourhood.
“I’m glad it is here because I wanted one ever since,” she said.

  3. QEH feeling Covid pressure

    By Colville Mounsey colvillemounsey@nationnews.com
With the number of COVID-19 infections rising daily, resulting in more isolation facilities being stood up, a warning is coming that the human resources at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) are in danger of being overrun.
On the same day that Government announced tougher measures, including an expanded curfew to “slow down the country” and boost the COVID-19 vaccination drive, Director of Medical Services at the QEH, Dr Clyde Cave, said each new isolation centre set up to manage the surge of cases was depleting the medical and ancillary staff at the hospital, making it difficult for the facility to fulfil some of its regular functions.
In fact, the QEH has recently put out an advertisement for registered nurses, sessional nurses, graduate nurses, nursing assistants and health aides.
Barbados recorded 632 cases of the virus in August (an average of 20 a day). So far for the month (up to Wednesday), there have been 579 infections – an average of 72 per day. There are currently 636 people in isolation. (During yesterday’s national address Minister of Health Jeffrey Bostic said there were 697 in isolation up to 6 a.m. yesterday).
    Were already stretched
To underscore the gravity of the situation, Cave explained that prior to the pandemic, staff at the QEH, which has a capacity of 500 beds, were already stretched. That staff complement is now required to handle three times that amount, with 1 000 beds added at the various isolation facilities, such as Blackman and Gollop Primary School, The Lester Vaughan School, Queen’s College and Daryll Jordan Secondary School.
“The setting up of those isolation facilities all came from the QEH’s resources. When you set up an isolation unit, you are taking a school and starting to put patients in it. Even if they are the tertiary patients who are not expected to be very ill, we still have to monitor them in case they get worse. We have to clean the place, we have to feed them; it is a whole big set-up even though their level of care is not as intense as if they were sick on the ward,” he told the Weekend Nation prior to Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley’s address to the nation.
“Even though at this stage we are making it look easy to set up these facilities, it is a lot of logistics, and those resources have to come from somewhere. As we extend to support more with COVID-19, it means that the things that we used to do have to slow down.”
    Electives backed up
He said elective procedures, for example, were again being backed up.
“Even before COVID we were a stretched institution and following on from the COVID spike in January, February and March, we
are still seeing an increasing number of people with non-communicable diseases who need to have special care now. For many of them their management was not kept up with and they are still coming into the hospital, so our admissions for non-COVID-19 cases have been increased.
“Elective procedures and surgeries have to give way to services at Harrison Point. The medical doctors also have to provide support at Harrison Point, which means things are taking a longer time to get done on the wards . . . . It is not possible for us to stretch what was already stretched in the first place, to do new services, and not expect that there is going to be an impact. We are trying to cover so many bases that we are obviously feeling the pressure, and if the numbers increase, this is obviously going to get more extreme.”
Cave also disclosed that the hospital was bracing for increased pressure on the Accident & Emergency Department, as the sorting of people with COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 illnesses was gumming up the system, despite the major upgrades to the facility.
“It is anticipated that the pressure is going to increase on Accident & Emergency as people become sick. The QEH has been kept COVID-free, but with people coming to the Accident & Emergency, we still have to determine if their illness is related to COVID-19, in which case they go to isolation. So that sorting out alone is taking extra time and backing up the system.”

  4. A video is circulating where Grenada is setting up a committee to decide who should live and who should die should Delta overwhelm them, followed by MU I supposed because that one has not yet been well defined…there is not a whole lot of wiggle room, either way…vaccinated or not…it just depends on which misery and anguish you prefer..

  5. The Snake-Oil Salesmen and the COVID-Zero Con: A Classic Bait-And-Switch for a Lifetime of Booster Shots (Immunity as a Service)

    by Julius Ruechel

One of the most common reasons given for mass COVID vaccinations is the idea that if we reach herd immunity through vaccination, we can starve the virus out of existence and get our lives back. It’s the COVID-Zero strategy or some variant of it.

By now it is abundantly clear from the epidemiological data that the vaccinated are able to both catch and spread the disease. Clearly vaccination isn’t going to make this virus disappear. Only a mind that has lost its grasp on reality can fail to see how ridiculous all this has become.

But a tour through pre-COVID science demonstrates that, from day one, long before you and I had even heard of this virus, it was 100% inevitable and 100% predictable that these vaccines would never be capable of eradicating this coronavirus and would never lead to any kind of lasting herd immunity. Even worse, lockdowns and mass vaccination have created a dangerous set of circumstances that interferes with our immune system’s ability to protect us against other respiratory viruses. They also risk driving the evolution of this virus towards mutations that are more dangerous to both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated alike. Lockdowns, mass vaccinations, and mass booster shots were never capable of delivering on any of the promises that were made to the public.

And yet, vaccination has been successfully used to control measles and even to eradicate smallpox. So, why not COVID? Immunity is immunity, and a virus is a virus is a virus, right? Wrong! Reality is far more complicated… and more interesting.

This Deep Dive exposes why, from day one, the promise of COVID-Zero can only ever have been a deliberately dishonest shell game designed to prey on a lack of public understanding of how our immune systems work and on how most respiratory viruses differ from other viruses that we routinely vaccinate against. We have been sold a fantasy designed to rope us into a pharmaceutical dependency as a deceitful trade-off for access to our lives. Variant by variant. For as long as the public is willing to go along for the ride.

Exposing this story does not require incriminating emails or whistleblower testimony. The story tells itself by diving into the long-established science that every single virologist, immunologist, evolutionary biologist, vaccine developer, and public health official had access to long before COVID began. As is so often the case, the devil is hidden in the details. As this story unfolds it will become clear that the one-two punch of lockdowns and the promise of vaccines as an exit strategy began as a cynical marketing ploy to coerce us into a never-ending regimen of annual booster shots intentionally designed to replace the natural “antivirus security updates” against respiratory viruses that come from hugs and handshakes and from children laughing together at school. We are being played for fools.

  6. The science seems to be leading to water!!

  7. Why are we not using constituencies for more in depth testing and tracking. There is already a lot of data in there and may make testing and and tracking more detailed and perhaps better organized. Could be a bit tedious but may work out better in the long run.
For example if the “pop up ” testing is in a particular constituency , we could have several pop up stations and then do a detailed statistical job and then move on to another one until we have well documented data as we continue the fight against COVID. We seem to be just “picking out” areas at this time.
Please note this is only a thought and NOT a criticism. I think the government is trying its best. and i have supported its efforts from Day One.

  8. Everything the BAMP President and PM says to do is being done, yet things getting even worse.

Vaccinations going up, masks getting worn, social distancing being observed, sanitization happening yet things get worse.

In Alabama Trump had a rally with 50,000 in attendance.

    Authorities swore cases would climb.

    They didn’t,

In fact he held the rally on 25th August, the Covid wave peaked the same day and since then the number of cases have fallen.

Louisiana got hammered by Ida on 29th August and Louisiana’s fall in Covid cases has continued.

Surely it is time to try something else or say something else.

  9. It is good to know that the BAMP President has finally come to her senses.

I fully support her call for a systematic and comprehensive vaccination campaign. If the BAMP President continues to be reasonable, she recommends herself for an official advisory post.

  10. The conventional approach to defeating the spread of the Covid19 gets a big Zero. Conventional responses to solve unconventional problems show the impact of Rote Thinking and a lack of Critical Thinking.

Look at the GOB response to the rising feed prices and the reactionary defeatist cries of hopeless farmers. Not one farmer is heard saying let us look at what opportunities are available be it fish offal, moringa, river tamarind, cane tops, maggots, vegetables, sweet potatoes leaves, molasses, discarded food to form the basic building block for animal feed. Typical Bajan conventional response aided and abetted by politicians.

Enforcement of strict protocols as unfortunately many stupidly seem not to understand the same way you can smell someone feets away bad breath the viral aerosols of the covid19 will latch onto your respiratory tract the said way. Unfortunately, only when some of these young lawless persons start to drop like flies will we see strict adherence by the persons on the blocks and boys by bars.

Perhaps we need to have a discussion with the virus and tell it not to come out after certain hours. I bet my last dollar we will not see falling infection rates during the increased curfew period over the next two weeks. Neither, will we see fewer infections when the whole country is vaccinated when lawsless ass persons defy common sense and flout strict Covid19

I remember once sitting behind someone in a meeting and every time they breathed I would get bad feels thanks to their horrible exhaled breath.

  11. Yes, David. It is all about LAYERS of protection.

Be Jeeze! That ass John again!

    I gone!

  12. The real experts have been saying from the very beginning that this virus needs early treatment..that’s all. I have seen it work. It is proven. It even worked for Prince Donald and his family.

ACTUALLY THIS IS MUCH MORE THAN A THOUGHT………IT IS A VERY SANE SERIOUS SENSIBLE THOUGHT THAT SHOWS THAT BAJANS ARE CAPABLE OF SOLVING SCIENCE SCENARIOS

A VERY GOOD PRACTICAL EPEDIMIOLOGY AND PUBLIC HEALTH PLOY IS HERE PRESENTED

  15. MU

    https://barbadostoday.bb/2021/09/10/jamaica-confirms-presence-of-mu-variant/

what lie is the minisry of health telling about they don’t have home quarantining, when they were allowing those private jets in the island and had the so called white elites from UK and other jurisdictions spreading the virus all over the island, they were home quarantining, just say you will not let BLACK PEOPLE home quarantine…and stop lying, the sandy lane and other wealthy areas the people were home quarantining since April last year until the cleaning services were afraid to go around them…and when Drake flew in on his private jet and was partying at the Cliff with Mia and all of them in attendance, he DID NOT EVEN QUARANTINE..

THEY COULD ONLY TELL THAT TO THOSE WITH SHORT MEMORIES…who already forgot all of that happened,

  16. Not sure if John is being objective or subjective with his thesis, but seems to have repeated it so often he believes it and has messed up his own mind with his wrong thinking

7.8 billion people in current world population drink water daily
Covid Worldometer shows 224,396,256 total cases to date

  17. now ya see why i get PISSED OFF..these liars would look you straight in your face and pretend it didn’t happen…insulting Black people’s intelligence when they were hosting parties with their big gaped tooth smiles with everyone spitting in each other’s faces and NOT EVEN WEARING MASKS, invited foreign guests, not quarantined, the local idiots acting like they are special and elite because they were hobnobbing…and here is the ministry of health LYING….even though there are photos all over the place as proof….and people who witnessed the wealthy quarantining at home.

    too damn disrespectful.

  18. People need to stop travelling for a year, traveling is spreading the virus, from the beginning it ws clear…someone wanted to know if Jamaica is the breeding ground for variants, all the Caribbean islands are as long as they refuse to stop travellers….the carriers…

  19. Then again someone just told me that a very remote village on the continent where no one goes has variants showing up, so now they are asking if someone is spraying, something is happening for sure..

  20. These little shitehound leaders in the Caribbean can continue playing nazis and dictators.

  21. Well today we crossed the 7% positive on test number. If we get to 10% God forbid, I can’t see us avoiding another lockdown. I truly hope people listen and get vaccinated.

  22. @John A

There is fatigue, lawlessness, complacency and ignorance.

This blogmaster senses a spiral. With high numbers just read some of the ignorance being posted here and elsewhere. Pass any rum shop or bloc, what do you still see?

  23. @ David

Yes I saw quite a bit of that today. Guys liming and drinking outside shops like if covid was a thing of the past. Plus some of the vaccinated dropping their guard and saying “dem vaccinate so they good.”

I think we reaching the stage where we will just have to live and let the public either fall in line or suffer. We can not continue to play with business hours and all of that. We ask tourist to come here and then tell them get in the room and lock up by 9. We got to decide what we doing and move forward. This on again off again approach can’t work. See Biden ring some stiff penalties last night in any that take off a mask on a plane. We tighten up the fines pelt in some $5000 fines or jail time, or we continue to play snakes and ladders with covid.

I saying again you can’t invite tourist here make them go through all the quarantine tra la la and them tell them get dem tail in the room by 9pm. Wunna decide what wunna want!

  24. No more shut downs. Let the chips fall where they may! If people wish to believe stuff that has its roots in right wing looney circles, let them be the ones to pay the price. If people do not wish to protect themselves, then let them and their children accept the consequences.

All those who refuse to trust Dr. Corey Forde BEFORE they get infected should continue to distrust him AFTER they get infected.

Why allow this fool to inject treatments into your body?

  25. As the PM said we need to get the vaccination rate way up. If we don’t the unvacinnated are going to be a major problem for us. We know they are the ones that are dying and also the ones who require hospitalisation. Yes the vaxx ones can catch and pass on the virus no one is denying that. So many will ask why bother to get vaccinated then? The answer is simple, if you get it you probably will not end up in the hospital or dead! I don’t know bout wunna but that was a good enough reason for me to go for my 2 sticks!

  26. And obviously contract tracing would have revealed the activities that are causing the problems.

I noticed that quite often now, women are outstripping the males in daily infection numbers.

Could it be the hiking groups who are bundling up in groups? Women love to walk close to each other and talk as they walk.

But people assume that because it is outdoors, no transmission takes place, disregarding the heavy and forceful breathing and constant talking that would be taking place over a really long period of time and the close proximity hikers may be in with each other.

Why would they target hikers unless they found the behaviour of our particular hikers promoted transmission?

It stands to reason that they have had several cases of hikers spreading to each other.

Hikers elsewhere may not behave the same as our current hiking groups do and so it may not apply to all hiking groups everywhere.

  27. John A,

That is too simple. We like to complicate matters.

  28. People fail to realize that despite all the drama and intriigue THAT THERE REALLY IS A VIRUS…

and Mia them need to tell the VACCINATED that they are STILL NOT SAFE…instead of making it seem that as long as they are vaccinated they are good..which is NOT TRUE…i live with vaccinated people and they take special care…they HAVE TO…especially with Delta and now MU which seems to be overly contagious….and if it’s really resistant to vaccine….that is it..

the tourists should stay where the hell they are, they are part of the problem…let the lazy ass governments use their brains for once in their useless lives WITHOUT TIEFING AND SCAMMING…

  29. some doctors sent me a message today, it was simple and to the point…STAY INSIDE…

as far as we know, outdoor transmission is miniscule unless they are talking, laughing, spittiing and spraying in each other’s faces. ..but if everyone kept their distance there should be no infection..

  30. @ John A

As David ‘said,’ “there is fatigue, lawlessness, complacency and ignorance.”

For example, let’s look at the PSVs. While Transport Board’s new electric buses are fitted with sanitizer dispensers, the older buses are not………… so too are several mini-buses and ZRs. The entire TB buses are sanitized at the bus terminals and depots, which is also extended to the privately owned PSVs.

Unfortunately, I’ve noticed some ZR and mini-bus drivers and conductors are not adhering to the COVID-19 protocols. They’re not wearing their masks as directed, sanitizing passengers hands or the seats when they exit the vehicle………. or observing the 60% passenger capacity rule, choosing to over load instead. For them, ‘it’s all about the money.’
Passengers must also share the blame for encouraging this behaviour and not taking COVID-19 or their health seriously.

People can also be seen ‘social gathering’ on ‘the block’ and at shops or bars, drinking alcohol, playing card games and dominoes, while not wearing masks. The excuse…….. you cannot eat and drink wearing masks.

I’ve also observed children playing and riding around districts. A friend’s grandson was outside playing with a group of boys, all of whom were not wearing masks. He entered the house, went for a cup and into the refrigerator for water, WITHOUT washing his hands.

And, these are just a few simple examples.

    Another lock down is inevitable.
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    @ David

Just read that a 66 year old, unvaccinated female, with an underlying condition died in the early hours of this morning, while in primary isolation at Harrison Point Isolation Facility.

  31. Our winter season is gone!

Already, tourists are fleeing en masse, fearing the coming lockdown. Or they are not coming at all. Currently, it takes up to 3, 4 days for double-vaccinated tourists with pre-test to receive their Corona test in the quarantine hotel. The official 48 hours for the test are fairy tale. The hotline is unreachable, our native public servants don’t give a shit about tourists. Likewise, the claim that fully vaccinated tourists are only subjected to a “rapid PCR test” after arrival is inaccurate. As far as I know, there is no rapid PCR test in the government laboratory in Barbados. The only way to get out of the hole after 24 hours is to book at the Crane Hotel. But that costs at least 1000 USD for two days booking (for an afternoon flight) .

Add to this the increasingly xenophobic attitude of our population. Our tourists are aware of the Nelson riots last year, the national-socialist boycott campaign against white businessmen and the attacks on Her Majesty the Queen. The tourists are harassed to the maximum and seen only as money machines, while our local Corona rule breakers walk the streets scot-free and gain maximum media attention. Some already wonder if there is some kind of apartheid between fully vaccinated and harmless tourists and the local mob that does not follow any rules. But unlike usual, the harmless tourists are discriminated against.

Many expats are also wondering whether they should not sell their villas to start a new life in a safe and clean place like the Dutch or French Antilles.

In this crisis situation, our Supreme Leader must show leadership. Our government must no longer kowtow to the Corona deniers and their lawyers. This is where Lord Drax could indeed make an important contribution. Our government should expropriate Drax Hall and use the plantation as an internment camp for anti-vaccinationists. Lord Drax could help secure the camp here with barbed wire to pay his reparations debt.

  32. @ Donna

I will confess I don’t know much about viruses so I listen to the specialist. I don’t know alot about the law, so when I need advise about a legal position I consult my attorney.

My point is we need to listen to those in the field here. A bunch of Google specialist who spend all day on a laptop and don’t even understand what they read, would not be my choice for advise. Nor would I pay much attention to a bunch of anti-vaxxers marching up and down in the hot sun either. As for the Trumpers who recommend drinking bleach, I think I will avoid their advise as well.

Point is we have a wealth of jnformation now on covid and it points to the fact that vaccinations though not a invisible wall, do reduce death and hospitalisation. If you remember in the early days of the AIDS war the situation was similar. There was no cure either, but as medicine progressed people with HIV now can live a full life.

Is the vaccine perfect, of course not but it’s all we have in the arsenal now so wunna dam well better take it!

  33. @ Artax

Everything you have said I have to agree with. The thing is too i am sure the authorities know about what you have outlined. So my question is what we doing bout it?

Another lock down in October will take the winter season from us as Tron says. We are already with the curfews, cutting into their holiday experience and their ability to spend their foreign exchange with us.

It will come down to this. Government will reach the point very soon where they will either have to come down heavy on the offenders to protect the tourist industry and economy, or turn their back on that sector and let everybody do as they like. Will the vote rule over economic protection is the golden question? I guess time will tell.

  34. just saw a video with a Caribbean PM, i had to check a few times to make sure i was hearing what i heard, and seeing what i saw..he said people are saying that the vaccine is unnatural, there is nothing unnatural about the vaccine, god created it he said…..😂😂🤣🤣 we all know who his god is…..but that is stretching things way too much…

just tell the people what their options are…unvaxed OR vaxed…let them form their own opinions….but no he invoked some fake god, lying on this fake god..hope it doesnt return to bite him..

  35. What actually happened to the one-year visa?
Is the programme still running or have the migrants already fled?

We now need a kind of female Augusto Pinochet. Time for our beloved Supreme Leader to crack down on the Corona deniers!

  36. RE I will confess I don’t know much about viruses so……………THEN LIKE MOST WHO COME HERE DAILY ….YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO OPINE ON THE MATTER EXCEPT TO STICK TO THE PROPAGANDA WILLY NILLY AND HODGE PODGE IN A SLAP DASH MANNER……….AND POST ARTICLES FROM HERE AND THERE, THE CONTENTS OF WHICH YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND.
AND THIS CAN NOT BE REFUTED.

  37. @ Gp

As I stated i do not know much about medicine hence I follow the opinions of those that specialise in it, as opposed to those who may have an opinion on it based on a reduced level of knowledge on the specific topic.

So let’s say a GP or a Chiropractor made a stament about the validity of vaccination, I would prefer here the views of a virologist or person who has specialised in the field of viruses instead.

I trust that has cleared it up for you now as it will be my last attempt to enlighten you.

That type of mentality of looking at the qualifications of the messenger instead of seeking to understand the message and doing followup research to determine the veracity of the message is why our country is where it is now.

Most of the doctors you consider experts are repeating nonsense talking points they have been fed while couching their terms to give themselves an out if what they tell you to do does not work.

Do you know that for all the years doctors study, they hardly study the working of the immune system hence the drug pushing most of them do to their patients instead of instructing their patients on the root cause and how to fix it.

  39. @John A & Artax

The numbers local and beyond our borders show that people with comorbidities and the unvaccinated appear to be the ones most likely to be picked of by the virus. A word to the wise AND ignorant should be sufficient.

  40. @ Critical

You are missing my point. I am saying on a issue as specialised as this I will listen to those trained in the specialty. Would you got to a dentist for abdominal pain?

Why do you think CNN and others bring on the experts in the field to discuss Covid, as opposed to going to the closest mall and inviting the first GP they see to come on air and discuss it? Our problem is we take the advise from those we like or from those whose advise suites us and that is why we are here today. When Dr Forde was pushing for one thing the politicians thought it better to go in a different direction. When BAMP was advising one thing our leaders opted for another.

My point is you Dont seek the wisdom of specialist and then do what you think is best. If for example you had a problem with your neighbour’s fence and went to an attorney and he advised you to leave the fence, would you go home and move it? This has plagued all parties over the years from Greenland Dump to gasification plants and back to covid. We just don’t like to follow the advise given after seeking it Fullstop!

  41. Wait i forget another example where the divine leaders promised to seek the view of others and then decided to do what they like and that was the republic. Just one more example of how we do things bout hey.

  42. RE As I stated i do not know much about medicine hence I follow the opinions of those that specialise in it, as opposed to those who may have an opinion on it based on a reduced level of knowledge on the specific topic.

So let’s say a GP or a Chiropractor made a stament about the validity of vaccination, I would prefer here the views of a virologist or person who has specialised in the field of viruses instead.

I trust that has cleared it up for you now as it will be my last attempt to enlighten you.

JOKER LET ME TEACH YOU FEW FACTS
ALL TRAINED DRS ARE SUPPOSED TO STUDY A NUMBER OF ASPECTS OF MEDICINE CALL THE BASIC SCIENCES

ONE OF THESE IS MICROBIOLOGY & IMMUNOLOGY
BRANCHES OF MICROBIOLOGY INCLUDE VIROLOGY BACTERIOLOGY MYCOLOGY ETC
A WELL TRAINED DR SHOULD KNOW VIROLOGY

A VIROLOGIST IS ESSENTIALLY A MAN…….AND SUCH IS SINNER WHO MAY BE CORRUPT AND ON THE TAKE– LIVING OF BRIBES. LIKE MANY IN HIGH PLACES RUNNING THINGS HERE AND THERE

YOU SAY As I stated i do not know much about medicine SO LISTEN TO SOME ONE WHO HAS BEEN TO MEDICAL SCHOOL THEN PRACTICED MEDICINE AND THEN RETURNED TO TEACH MEDICAL STUDENTS

RE hence I follow the opinions of those that specialise in it,
THIS MEANS NOTHING SINCE THESE ARE A DOME A DOZEN AND CAN BE BOUGHT…AND ARE
as opposed to those who may have an opinion on it based on a reduced level of knowledge on the specific topic. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE WHO HAS AN OPINION BASED ON A REDUCED LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE DUMMY?
WHO DO YOU LISTEN TO DR FALSY OR DR RAND PAUL? WHY? WHY NOT?

RE So let’s say a GP or a Chiropractor made a stament about the validity of vaccination, I would prefer here the views of a virologist or person who has specialised in the field of viruses instead.
THAT IS BECUSE YOU ARE A BONE FIDE MEDICAL ILLITERATE AND HAVE NO CLUE ABOUT DOCTORS OPERATE

RE I trust that has cleared it up for you now as it will be my last attempt to enlighten you.
WHY IS IT THAT YOU SOUND LIKE A FOOL TO ME?
HOW DOES A MEDICAL ILLITERATE ENLIGHTEN A MAN WHO HAS SPENT 47 YEARS IN MEDICINE AND TEACHES MICROBOIOLOGY INCLUDING VIROLOGY?
    HOW?
NOW WHEN YOU NEXT BRAY BARK AND BRIMBLE ON THIS TOPIC AND STOP SOUNDING LIKE A MORON.
SOON SOME OF YOUR JACK ASS SIBLINGS WILL JOIN YOU AND TRY TO PILE ON TO TRY TO ATTACK ME. AND I WILL MOCK YOU.
IT IS BECAUSE OF HIGH SOUNDING BASIC FOOLS THAT I STOPPED TEACHING AND BRINGING INFORMATION OF VALUE ON BU AND JUST SIMPLY MOCK IDIOTS LIKE YOU.
I AM NOT GOING TO TRUST THAT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ANYTHING THAT I HAVE SAID AS THERE IS A VACANT SPACE WHERE YOUR CEREBRUM OUGHT TO BE

RE Why do you think CNN and others bring on the experts in the field to discuss Covid, as opposed to going to the closest mall and inviting the first GP they see to come on air and discuss it?

WHY IS IT THAT YOU ARE SO STUPID?
DO YOU KNOW THAT GENERAL PRACTICE IS THE OLDEST AND HARDEST SPECIALTY? DUMMY? DO YOU KNOW THAT GENERAL PRACTICE IS A SPECIALTY TOO, JACKASS?

TELL ME HOW MANY ORGANS DOES AN OBS/GYNAE DOCTOR SPECIALIZE ABOUT DUMMY? OR AN ENT MAN ? OR AN OPTHLMOLOGIST? WHY DO YOU THINK THAT “”SPECIALISTS”” SPECIALIZE?

RE My point is you Dont seek the wisdom of specialist and then do what you think is best. SO WHICH SPECIALIST SHOULD WE FOLLOW NOW FOR COVID? PLEASE TELL US.

RE We just don’t like to follow the advise given after seeking it Fullstop!
TRUE INSTEAD WE LISTEN TO DUMMIES WHO FOOL DUMMIES LIKE YOU. DID WE LISTEN TO DR DOUGHLIN. FORGOT HE IS ONLY A GP AND NOT A SPECIALIST RIGHT?

TRUTH IS WE ARE DEALING WITH CORRUPTION AND OTHER ISSUES WHICH ARE TOO COMPLEX FOR YOUR BETZPAENIC BRAIN TO UNDERSTAND.

NOW CUSS ME, GET SOME TO PILE ON AND CUSS
WHY IS IT THAT THE SPECIALISTS THAT SOLVING THE CRISIS?
SOON WE WILL HAVE THE OMEGA VARIANT AND THE VIROLOGIST SPECIALISTS ET ALITER WILL STILL BE CATCHING AT STRAWS AND MISINFORMING EVERY BODY.

RE The numbers local and beyond our borders show that people with comorbidities and the unvaccinated appear to be the ones most likely to be picked of by the virus. A word to the wise AND ignorant should be sufficient.

    CONCENTRATED RUBBISH
    VERY HEATHY FOLK ARE DYING
VACCINATED FOLK ARE ALSO DYING TOO
HEALTHY VACCINATED FOLK ARE DYING TOO.
THE FOLK WHO ARE MORE LIKELY TO DIE AT ANY TIME ARE ALWAYS THOSE WHO HAVE LIVED THE NUMBER OF DAYS ALOTTED TO THEM

MANY OF THEM ARE DYING BECAUSE THEIR HEARTS ARE FAILING THEM FOR FEAR
MANY INFECTED FOLK ARE RECOVERING AFTER BEING TREATED EARLY WITH EFFECTIVE THERAPEUTICS BY PHYSICIANS WHO UNDERSTAND AND ARE HONESTLY AND FAITHFULLY AND DILIGENTLY “”FOLLOWING THE SCIENCE,””

    @John A & Artax

The numbers local and beyond our borders show that people with comorbidities and the unvaccinated appear to be the ones most likely to be picked of by the virus. A word to the wise AND ignorant should be sufficient.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Before there were so called vaccines the virus claimed the lives of mainly those with comorbidities.

The same applies after the arrival of the so called vaccines.

    Thee things have changed.

Firstly, both the so called vaccinated as well as the so called unvaccinated have survived the virus and built up immunity.

Secondly, doctors are learning how not to kill those infected, both the so called vaccinated and the so called unvaccinated.

Thirdly, the so called vaccines reduces the chances of becoming really sick.

In the case of #3, there is no guarantee.

No one seems to understand how it spreads which is a requirement for eradicating the virus..

  44. However, there is no vaccination against fear and anxiety disorders which are the main comorbidities that claim the lives of the so called vaccinated and so called unvaccinated.

  45. john knox
your two posts above make medical sense
neither the “virus” or the “vaccines”” are behaving typically

  46. Not enough data!!

    I’ll wait and see.

Meantime I will apply my mind to solving how the virus spreads by examining available data.

  47. …. while driving some folks bonkers!!

  48. Silly people. It is about Darwinism. Stop trying to convince people to get vaccinated.

Those who do and use sensible daily protocols will have much greater probability of survival.

That is how selection of the most appropriate for the environment works.

As a post on social media says, open up January 1, who vaccinate, vaccinate, who aint, aint, who get Covid sick, get sick.

Stop making a fight when there is none.

Who want their chances of deading higher, that is their choice.

Stop wasting time on it and get de bus on de road.
