Caribbean Governments Asked to Approach UN Security Council to Stave Off War Between US and North Korea

The Clement Payne Movement call upon the Caricom Secretariat to call a meeting of the Caribbean Heads of Government to impress upon Donald Trump, President of the United States of America and to Kim Jong Un, the Democratic Republic of North Korea President, to settle their differences by means of mediation.

The erratic statements by President Donald Trump, which if put into practice will cause the most devastation the world will ever know. Because of the borders of the Democratic Republic of North Korea and China, any error by America’s bombing of the Democratic Republic of North Korea could by error, cause collateral damage to the Republic of China

This will then put the two major countries of the world in confrontation with each and bring about annihilation not only of the United States and to the Chinese Republic but of all of Eastern Asia and North America among others.

The Caribbean Heads of Government need to make a serious approach to the United States of America and the United Nations Security Council to stop any further advancement by the US, the most powerful nuclear power in the world, from starting this war; either by action or a response to the Democratic Republic of North Korea infantile action.

    Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican segregationist. The passages below are excerpted from a paper on his life and philosophy.

    In September 1923, he delivered a speech in New York that included the statement, “[W]e believe in race purity […] [w]e believe that the White race should protect itself against racial contamination, and the Negro should do the same.”

    In March 1934, in his magazine, The Black Man, Garvey recommended Hitler’s Mein Kampf, expressing his hope that one day the Black race would produce its own Hitler. He wrote the following disturbing words, “Hitler has a lesson to teach and he is teaching it well.”

    In July 1922, he publicly stated:
    From impressions, from my observations, from my understanding, the Ku Klux Klan is a mighty white organization in the United States of America, organized for the purpose of upholding white supremacy in this country; organized for the purpose of making America a white man’s country, pure and simple. The organization has absolutely no apology to make as far as its program is concerned – a program of making America a white man’s country. […] Whilst the Ku Klux Klan desires to make America absolutely a white man’s country, the Universal Negro Improvement Association wants to make Africa absolutely a Black man’s country.

    The Trump administration is demanding web host provider Dreamhost turn over the logs of over 1.3 million visitors to an anti-Trump website it hosts, the company has revealed.

    News of the Justice Department order landed Monday when the company took an unusual step of announcing that it had been in talks with the government to clarify and narrow the search warrant in an effort to comply, but had failed to reach an amicable resolution.

    The order demanded that the company provide "all information available", including its owner and its visitors, of a political activism and protest organizing website against the current Trump administration, the web host said in a blog post.

    The website, known as DisruptJ20, is a political organization that planned a mass protest for the inauguration of then president-elect Donald Trump in January.

    Several purported members of the organization were arrested for alleged violent conduct during the protests.

    I am told there is now a statue of Marcus Garvey at the University of the West Indies.

    Suppose some white Jamaicans decided to tear it down because to them Garvey is a threatening figure. What do you think the reaction of many black Jamaicans would be?

    I believe you are purposely confusing the differences between what Confederacy represented and Malcolm X or Marcus Garvey’s opposing a social system the Confederacy supported.

    The Confederacy fought to maintain slavery and white supremacy in the USA. Are you of the opinion that this is something the country should honor or commemorate in any way?

    The Confederacy has always about white supremacy and their monuments were built to honour white supremacy and racism the Confederacy represented.

    Perhaps you should ask yourself the reasons why the Berlin Wall was demolished.

    You cannot know the real reasons white people honor any historical figure.

    For example, General Robert E. Lee fought to maintain plantation slavery. However, after the Civil War, he helped the South come to terms with its defeat and reconcile with the North.

    Are statues of Lee monuments to the cause of slavery? Or are they tributes to the military prowess, political astuteness and patriotism of an accomplished man?

    The statues should be in a museum, the resolution was passed in February by the city to remove them, whoever want to go pay to visit them in museums for whichever reason are welcome, no one cares, but keeping them in the open to act as visual aids for violent racist hate groups is not an option.

    Besides, the city of Virginia will more than likely face lawsuits because, the resolution was passed 6 months ago, the statues should have been gone, no permits should have been issued to violent armed racist hate groups, the city admitted AFTER the murder and injuries that they knew they were not equipped to handle hate groups, they are not as well armed as hate groups.

    So ya see, yall are just losers who aint too bright.

    Somebody took bribes not to take down those statues and to use them to create violence injuries and death, but it backfired, that person will be found and charged.

    Their message, all issued separately in interviews and open letters, are particularly resonant in a climate when there’s so much controversy over the Civil War symbols and when the President of the United States himself said removing them is ripping apart the country.

    Lee’s great-great grandson of Gen. Robert E. Lee condemned last weekend’s violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, and said it might be “appropriate” for Confederate statues to be exhibited in a museum.
    “Eventually, someone is going to have to make a decision, and if that’s the local lawmaker, so be it. But we have to be able to have that conversation without all of the hatred and the violence. And if they choose to take those statues down, fine,” Robert E. Lee V, 54, of Washington DC, told CNN.

    Three days after Charlottesville, Virginia, erupted into violence and racial unrest, the family of Robert E. Lee is denouncing the white nationalist groups who rallied and marched to preserve a statue of the long-dead Civil War general.

    “There’s no place for that,” Robert E. Lee V tells Newsweek, referring to the white supremacist protesters who carried torches and marched through Charlottesville on Friday. “There’s no place for that hate.”

    The statue of Lee, which has stood in Charlottesville since 1924, is now at the center of a racially charged conflict that has gripped the city and resulted in one woman’s death. In February, the local city council decided to remove the statue from the park, noting that for many people, such Confederate monuments are “painful reminders of the violence and injustice of slavery and other harms of white supremacy that are best removed from public spaces.” In May, white supremacist Richard Spencer organized a demonstration in support of the monument, and on Friday evening, a large group of torch-bearing white nationalist marchers descended on Charlottesville to protest the decision to remove the statue.

    “We don’t believe in that whatsoever,” Lee says. He is quick to defend his ancestor’s name: “Our belief is that General Lee would not tolerate that sort of behavior either. His first thing to do after the Civil War was to bring the Union back together, so we could become a more unified country.”

    The general was a slave owner who led the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War and who remains a folk hero throughout much of the South.

    “We don’t want people to think that they can hide behind Robert E. Lee’s name and his life for these senseless acts of violence that occurred on Saturday,” Lee says.

    The Lee heir says it would make sense to remove the embattled statue from public display and put it in a museum—a view shared by the great-great-grandson of Jefferson Davis.

    “I think that is absolutely an option, to move it to a museum and put it in the proper historical context,” Lee says. “Times were very different then. We look at the institution of slavery, and it’s absolutely horrendous. Back then, times were just extremely different. We understand that it’s complicated in 2017, when you look back at that period of time… If you want to put statues of General Lee or other Confederate people in museums, that makes good sense.”

    TRIBUTES TODAY IN JAMAICA TO A BLACK RACIST
    The 130th anniversary birthday celebrations of Jamaica’s first National Hero, Marcus Mosiah Garvey will commence this morning with a wreath laying ceremony at National Heroes Park, Kingston.

    Tributes will be paid by the Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen; Prime Minister, Andrew Holness; Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Olivia Grange; and Leader of the Opposition, Dr Peter Phillips.

    A Civic Ceremony for the late national hero will be held at Lawrence Park, St Ann’s Bay, St Ann courtesy of the St Ann Municipal Corporation, at which the culture minister will be the guest speaker. The function starts at 4:00 pm. Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, will represent the minister at the Marcus Garvey Lecture scheduled for Liberty Hall in downtown Kingston, which starts at 10:00 am.

    The statues, including those of their great, great-grandfather, “are overt symbols of racism and white supremacy, and the time is long overdue for them to depart from public display,” they wrote.

    So far, the white supremacists and associated groups such as the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis seem to be the only ones seeking to preserve these Confederate monuments and statues, while opposing their removal.

    And you are fully aware these groups are mainly comprised of racists.

    Therefore, you are being disingenuous to suggest the South is using General Robert E. Lee’s statue to commemorate his helping “the South come to terms with its defeat and reconcile with the North, after the civil war.”

    If that was true and there was a genuine reconciliation of both sides, would the North not be likewise offended by the removal of Lee’s statue as well?

    Racist conservative hate groups of the neo nazi, white supremacist, kkk, alt right variety spent the whole week on facebook spreading hatred and intimidating, threatening and trying to scare commenters who disagreed with hate, racism and anti diversity…until facebook had to ban 8 groups of the disgusting bunch yesterday….the nasty things this uneducated bunch of lowlifes were saying trying to reincarnate hate and denigration on other people were unbelievable, but they were shocked to find that their hatred and bigotry were met with fire to burn them down..

    Hence many of them are now losing their jobs…they thought life was difficult before when they had it so easy, well let’s see how easy it is now they have to eat hate and racism for breakfast, lunch and dinner….because they have no jobs.

    Life was too good, too much damn white privilege….white privilege has to be burnt to the ground, it’s cancerous.

    “He’s gone,” a source close to the White House aide confirmed to the BBC.

    His exit follows a review of his position by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.
