Samuel Jackman Prescod was born in 1806.
He would have been in his 20’s at the time of emancipation.
Were it not for the efforts of the Quakers in forcing the issue of emancipation, he could very easily have ended up as one of the biggest slave owners in Barbados through inheritance.
William Hinds Prescod died in 1842 so he would not have had any slaves to leave to Samuel Jackman Prescod as the efforts of the Quakers would have resulted in emancipation.
