Alleged chemical attack on the Syrian people

Who or what gave US President Donald Trump and the Government of the USA the right to set themselves up as the prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner of the Government of Syria? The short and simple answer is that neither President Trump nor the US Government possessed any such right!

International Law stipulates that it is the United Nations Security Council — a body that represents the Will of the entire community of nations — that possesses the right and responsibility to determine whether a breach of the peace or an act of aggression has been carried out by any nation or regime, and whether a punitive armed response is required.

Thus, if it is being alleged that the Assad governmental administration of Syria carried out an inherently illegal chemical weapons attack on the people of Syria, it is the responsibility of the UN Security Council to investigate the matter; to make a determination of innocence or guilt; and if guilt is established, to decide upon the appropriate response and punishment.

Virtually the entire World Community accepts that this is the settled International Law position.  But not the USA!  No, not a country that has wedded itself to the delusional and manifestly fraudulent doctrine of American Exceptionalism”.  President Trump and virtually every other member of the US Establishment is capable of casually dismissing out-of-hand the settled, positive logic and rationality of International Law by engaging in a form of delusional “pseudo – logic” that goes something like this:-

“The USA is a special and inherently ‘good’ nation. And since the USA is an inherently “good” nation, it means that its actions and policies will always be based on and for “the good”.  Thus, the ordinary rules of International Law do not apply to the USA, and the USA is therefore at liberty to take unilateral action to impose its inherently “good” policies on a backward and wicked world”.

This is the kind of warped “logic” that President Obama used to justify his sending of drones half-way around the world to assassinate men and women who have never been tried and convicted in any Court of law, and to do so even if it means killing dozens of totally innocent children, women and men who simply happen to be in the locality of the assassination target when the missiles come raining down. No doubt, this is also the kind of warped “logic” that Trump used to justify last night’s “punitive” missile strike on Syria. And mind you, this kind of “logic” comes from a nation that has committed genocide against its native people; that enslaved Africans for almost 250 years; that inflicted segregation and lynching on black Americans for over 100 years; that is the only nation on earth to drop atomic bombs on human beings; that used chemical weapons against the Vietnamese and other Asians; and that has illegally intervened in and invaded scores of countries, among a host of other crimes.

As much as we may dislike President Assad of Syria and his Administration we all still need to say loudly and firmly to US President Donald Trump that the USA  is NOT an exceptional country, and that like every other country in the world, the rules of International Law apply to it too! If we fail to do so, we will actually be promoting the “Law of the Jungle” where “might makes right” and small nations like ours have no rights that need be respected.

By  unilaterally launching a missile attack on Syria Donald Trump has actually committed a crime under International Law. And if International Law is to have any meaning or validity all responsible governments of the world must now call upon the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court to launch  War Crimes investigations against both Presidents Trump and Assad and their Administrations.

“Can you identify another set of people who are so intent on getting themselves back into slavery… after having been given an opportunity to literally create heaven on Earth?”

And if they continue to listen to the idiots in parliament and Carl “the coward” Moores, the ACs, Alvins, Carsons etc…that is exactly where they will end up….as slaves, just like their ancestors.

Not every black person in the US or Caribbean were enslaved, but the descendants of slaves are very easy to identify.

Boss, don’t you get it yet…?

The VERY first thing that we lost in Barbados was control of the media to those with greedy agendas. Harold Hoyte sold out the Nation to the Trickidadian OCM invaders and the other one is permanently available ‘se vende’ to the government of the day.
CBC is a colossal joke, and the radio stations are primarily interested in promoting the private businesses of their various low-class DJs, and pushing foreign music and culture.

Had it not been for Barbados Free Press, and even more so, for Barbados Underground, the battle would have been completely lost years ago. National talents such as yourself and Caswell would have been fully branded as rebels and terrorists…. with ordinary Bajans likely cussing wunna on sight, … and the crooked politicians and their white shadows would have been laughing all the way to the bank …and calling each other by their royal titles.

Have you not noticed that since coming on to BU you have almost completely reversed the PERCEPTIONS that many Bajans have of you and your intentions?

Caswell also has become one of the most respected public commentators in Barbados since being associated with BU…

FORGET the other traitorous media houses. Bajans who are SERIOUS about charting a meaningful path for the country already do just that…

Bushie challenges you to consider launching a National MOVEMENT that is grounded in integrity, transparency and meritocracy; …that is INCLUSIVE of all genuine Bajan interests groups; …and that commits itself to cooperative principles of community-focused actions.

Working with David(BU) you will be SHOCKED at the support and response that you will garner….
In any case, it will take AT LEAST two “Davids” to kill this brass bowlery that threatens to sink this country of ours….

  4. Now we see that the Commander -in- Chief is being given orders by his Generals. Reminds me of the times when Police Officer in Barbados used to take advantage of constitution-ignorant political yardfowls who were appointed Justices of the Peace, in getting a warrant authorised, that no self respecting law officer would put his signature to.

  5. @Bush Tea

Maybe you don’t get it, the enormous sacrifice made. Others never seek out how they can help with the project. It is always about demanding more from you.

The BU household can empathize with Comissiong. When you observe how others are willing to be dishonest by deliberately trivialising the issues just to be politically partisan to use one example.

You are correct that it takes a special kind of person…or fool.

  6. Comissiong is neither special or a fool he knows how good and well to manipulate and push is way through a frenzy crowd.just take a look at his effort to infiltrate and delay.
His comments of recent in which he tries to explain the political institutions those of which he was a part defines the nature and character of this man a man who would exploit and explore any and every avenue for his personnel gain.
Hence his necessity to be involved in organaziations which he claims are close and dear to his heart

Imagine giving your very life to help a pack of clueless brass bowls – who actually go out of their way to frustrate, impede and even kill your donkey in the process…??!!

The REALITY is that if some TALENTED, COMMITTED, CARING person do not make such a sacrifice, we can kiss our collective donkeys goodbye…

Interesting how this is almost a repeat of the original situation when the top bushman of all time took the decision to sacrifice his own (REAL, SPIRITUAL) life to provide a lifeline to us micro mock BBBB’s ….and was rewarded with crucifixion.

The evil in the white man’s heart, directed at the aborigines of Australia, whose country was stolen by british thieves.

“CANBERRA, Australia—The top United Nations envoy on indigenous rights criticized Australia for “deeply disturbing” levels of racism and urged the country to embrace a treaty that would recognize its indigenous people as its first inhabitants, a move she said would help combat prejudice.

Australia’s indigenous people make up less than 3% of the 24 million population, but suffer higher rates of imprisonment, domestic violence and unemployment, according to government data.

“I have found the prevalence of racism against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples deeply disturbing,” Victoria Tauli-Corpuz, the U.N. special rapporteur on indigenous rights, said in a report ending her 15-day visit. “This manifests itself in different ways, ranging from public stereotyped portrayals of them as violent criminals, welfare profiteers and poor parents and to discrimination in the administration of justice.”

One in four prison inmates is of indigenous heritage, a statistic that Ms. Tauli-Corpuz said was “simply astounding.”

In a February report to Parliament, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said his government was failing to close the gap between indigenous and other Australians in six of seven priority areas, including health and unemployment.

Community leaders for Australia’s 460,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have for years called for constitutional recognition and a treaty to reduce discrimination.

While the Australian government has supported a referendum on a constitutional change to recognize its indigenous people, it hasn’t backed a formal treaty over concerns that it could open up legal challenges over compensation and property rights. Mr. Turnbull has said a formal treaty could further stoke divisions over reconciliation and make constitutional change even harder.

Australia is the only former British colony not to have a formal treaty with indigenous inhabitants. New Zealand has the Treaty of Waitangi, signed between Britain and Maori chiefs in 1840, while Canada and the U.S. have agreements going back as far as 1701.

Is it any wonder why the government ministers are so dumb, have no problem solving skills and continue to make the same mistakes with the same thieves every 5 years without fail.

“History teaches us methods of coping. We learn from experience. Why do we teach our children things? We don’t want them to make the same mistakes we did. In teaching history, we transfer from one generation to the next methods of solving problems. When we don’t pass history on, you don’t pass on problem solving methods and techniques to the next generation. That generation, without a sense of history, is unable to solve problems, because it has not received methods to do so. It’s important to understand that the history we’ve been taught is not a history that brings with it problem-solving skills and other things needed to solve the problems that we face as African people.”-Dr Amos Wilson”

  15. Trump’s Bombing of Syria: Continuation of a Policy Which Started Only 3 Years After Syria Became an Independent Nation … When Trump Was 2 Years Old

As early as 1949, this newly independent Arab republic was an important staging ground for the CIA’s earliest experiments in covert action.

The CIA secretly encouraged a right-wing military coup in 1949.

The reason the U.S. initiated the coup? Little explains:

In late 1945, the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) announced plans to construct the Trans-Arabian Pipe Line (TAPLINE) from Saudi Arabia to the Mediterra- nean. With U.S. help, ARAMCO secured rights-of-way from Lebanon, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The Syrian right-of-way was stalled in parliament.

In other words, Syria was the sole holdout for the lucrative oil pipeline.

(Indeed, the CIA has carried out this type of covert action right from the start.)

In 1957, the American president and British prime minister agreed to launch regime change again in Syria. Historian Little notes that the coup plot was discovered and stopped:

    SNIP

More importantly, Syria also had control of one of the main oil arteries of the Middle East, the pipeline which connected pro-western Iraq’s oilfields to Turkey.

The report said that once the necessary degree of fear had been created, frontier incidents and border clashes would be staged to provide a pretext for Iraqi and Jordanian military intervention. Syria had to be “made to appear as the sponsor of plots, sabotage and violence directed against neighbouring governments,” the report says. “CIA and SIS should use their capabilities in both the psychological and action fields to augment tension.”

Know your history, does this sound familiar a very disturbing photo of the actual burning can be found online..

“On the 20th of this month 125 years ago, an African American man named Ed Coy was burned at the stake in Texarkana, Arkansas. He is included on this page because his executioners had originally intended to lynch him at the Texas-Arkansas state line in Texarkana and there is little doubt that some of the participants in this lynching were Texas citizens.

Coy was accused of raping the wife of a white farmer named Henry W. Jewell on February 13, 1892. When made aware of the charges, Coy fled and hid at the home of another African American man named Ed Gaines. On Saturday, February 20, Coy was captured and presented to Mrs. (Julia) Jewell for identification. Mrs. Jewell identified him as her assailant and he was guarded until all the search parties who had been combing the countryside for him returned.

Coy was then marched to a telegraph pole at the most public place in the city. It sat on Broad Street at the Texas-Arkansas state boundary.

The lynch-mob’s original intent was to hang Coy from the telegraph pole, but a large percentage of the mob felt that a hanging wasn’t enough and that he should suffer the torch “to strike terror to the hearts of the negroes.” The noose proponents acquiesced, but on the condition that Coy be burned outside the city limits. The mob marched Coy in a southeasterly direction and found an open field with an upright, 10-foot tall tree-stump in it (probably less than a mile from the Texas-Arkansas state line). Members of the mob affixed Coy to the stump and then doused him in coal oil. Then they summoned Mrs. Jewell to face her alleged ravager and strike the match that would punish the crime.

Mrs. Jewell was assisted by male relatives to the tree stump to which Coy was bound. She approached her alleged attacker in a psychological fog and lit him on fire emotionlessly. The white crowd gasped with delight, but Coy apparently exhibited “wonderful nerve” as the flames consumed him. A Dallas Morning News correspondent spoke with Coy before his lynching and reported that the suspect maintained that he was innocent “and died with the lie on his lips.”

The incident was later investigated by Albion W. Tourgee, a white, former circuit court judge and future litigant for the plaintiff in Plessy v. Ferguson. Tourgee came to the following conclusions:

The woman who was paraded as a victim of violence was of bad character; her husband was a drunk and gambler.
She was publicly reported and generally known to have been criminally intimate with Coy for more than a year previous.
She was compelled by threats, if not violence, to make the charge against the victim.
When she came to apply the match Coy asked her if she would burn him after they had “been sweethearting” so long.
A large majority of the “superior” white men prominent in the affair are the reputed fathers of mulatto children.

These are not pleasant facts, but they are illustrative of the vital phase of the so-called race question, which should properly be designated an earnest inquiry as to the best methods by which religion, science, law and political power may be employed to excuse injustice, barbarity and crime done to a people because of race and color.”

Political activist David Comissiong is seeking to strike another blow at the heart of the controversial Hyatt Centric Resort scheduled to be built on Lower Bay, The City.

The attorney-at-law, who has already secured an injunction putting the brakes on the US$100 project, will Tuesday file an interim order suspending permission to build until the court can hear the substantive matter in a hearing scheduled for May.

“I have applied for an interim order suspending the permission to build until the court can hear the substantive matter in May or whenever after May. This will just be a formality because if I have challenged the permission, the Town and Country Planning Act says that the court should temporarily suspend the permission until the court can have a full hearing of the matter. The interim order would stop the developers from doing anything right now, but if they started anything it would stop them from doing anything until the court can hear the case in its totality,” he told Barbados TODAY.

On March 22, Comissiong lodged the legal challenge in the Supreme Court to the construction, which, after several delays had won approval on February 15 from Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, who has responsibility for Town and Country Planning.

That injunction, which resulted in immediate suspension of permission until the matter is heard by the court, came as a major blow for both the developers and Government, who have been eager to get the project going, amid domestic economic challenges.”

SUBJECT: Syria: Was It Really “A Chemical Weapons Attack”?

1 – We write to give you an unambiguous warning of the threat of armed hostilities with Russia – with the risk of escalation to nuclear war. The threat has grown after the cruise missile attack on Syria in retaliation for what you claimed was a “chemical weapons attack” on April 4 on Syrian civilians in southern Idlib Province.

2 – Our U.S. Army contacts in the area have told us this is not what happened. There was no Syrian “chemical weapons attack.” Instead, a Syrian aircraft bombed an al-Qaeda-in-Syria ammunition depot that turned out to be full of noxious chemicals and a strong wind blew the chemical-laden cloud over a nearby village where many consequently died.

    Wrong.

Washing chicken in lime water might be ok at home where 1 cook is preparing food for a few people. However that practice is not ok when mass producing food. Washing in diluted chlorine is not harmful. Remember diluted chlorine is also in drinking water.

  38. What was Sean Spicer thinking (is he capable of rational thought?) when he said that Hitler did not use chemicals on “his own people”? What is Spicer’s understanding of history? When Hitler gassed the Jews, the Jews were German people who had lived in Germany for more that one thousand years, who spoke German and were deeply embedded in German culture. I ask Mr. Spicer when does a people become “own people”?

When Hitler gassed the gypsies the gypsies had been living in what was then Germany for thousands of years. The gypsies were Germans.

When Hitler gassed the homosexuals the homosexuals were also Germans.

I wonder if Spicer believes that the black people living in the Western hemisphere (in every country from Canada to Argentina which benefitted from the labour of the enslaved Africans) I wonder if Spicer believes that we are “his own people” or if he believes that we are forever strangers to be over worked and then discarded when it is convenient for people who think like him.

  39. SS you are smarter than this, you know what he meant, sarin is 81 times more potent than cyanide and is considered a weapon of mass destruction due to its effects, even some of the worst mass murderers knew not to cross certain lines.

  40. sarin is 81 times more potent than cyanide
    ………………………………………………………………

Dead is dead irregardless of weapon usage, mass murder is mass murder irrespective of quantum used……………..

How can a substance that can kill quicker than another substance be deemed better than the other despite the lesser one killing more people over a longer period.

This is the most illogical rubbish I have ever come across…..the mass destruction of human beings can never be justified.

  41. It is American logic: clean needles to apply the death injection. They just do not want to give convicted murderers HIV.

And the UK would know well enough the sarin gas they sold Assad.

“Syria chemical attack: Sarin gas was used in Khan Sheikhoun strike, says UK ambassador to UN”

‘The United Kingdom therefore shares the US assessment that it is highly likely that the regime was responsible for a sarin attack’

Britain’s UN Ambassador Matthew Rycroft previously told the UN Security Council Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had been ‘put on notice’ EPA
British scientists have found sarin in samples taken from the site of an alleged chemical gas attack in Syria.

Britain’s UN Ambassador Matthew Rycroft told the UN Security Council samples taken from the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhoun and analysed by British scientists tested positive for sarin or a sarin-like substance.

“The United Kingdom therefore shares the US assessment that it is highly likely that the regime was responsible for a sarin attack on Khan Sheikhoun on 4 April,” Mr Rycroft told the UN Security Council.”

Simple…ya already drinking drops of chlorine or floride in water…ya do not need to been eating it also, they may be saying they use a small amount, but as you say, it’s massed produced chicken….a small amount will npt clean 100,000 birds.

Either way, i do not eat supermarket chicken..I like to know what’s going on with what i eat..

Simple…the irony here is…Hitler was not German, he was Austrian and there has been information floating around for quite some time that he was the illegitimate son of a jew…so go figure, he had a laundry list of “Inferiors” to gas thanks to that nasty racist pig in the US Madison Grant, so he gassed anyone and everyone including him and Mengel’s failed human experiments….blacks, gays and disabled people were a favorite for the gas chambers along with jews.

The thing with retarded Spicer, just like trump….they try to rewrite history with their own version of lies….to suit the current hole they dug for themselves.

And pf course Lawson…originating from the same Spicer, trump bloodline…would see logic in that idiocy..lol..I would bet anything Hitleralso hadsome sarin, he was a meth head, so sarin would be a breeze.

What many dont know, blacks have also been in Germany for thousands of yesrs…theya re still digging up bones, it’s only these European shitheads believe themselves entitled to these countries they stole.

  45. MIT prof and CW expert Theodore Postol, Professor of Science, Technology and National Security Policy, says Trump claim that the evidence for the gas attack points deffinitvely to Assad is “obviously false”.

White House claims on Syria chemical attack ‘obviously false’ – MIT professor

A professor who challenged the 2013 claims of a chemical attack in Syria is now questioning the Trump administration’s narrative blaming the Assad government for the April 4 attack in the Idlib province town of Khan Shaykhun.

On Tuesday, the White House released a declassified intelligence brief accusing Syrian President Bashar Assad of ordering and organizing the attack, in which Syrian planes allegedly dropped chemical ordnance on civilians in the rebel-held town.

The report “contains absolutely no evidence that this attack was the result of a munition being dropped from an aircraft,” wrote Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Professor Theodore Postol, who reviewed it and put together a 14-page assessment, which he provided to RT on Wednesday.

    SNIP

The report offered by the White House, however, cited “a wide body of open-source material” and “social media accounts” from the rebel-held area, including footage provided by the White Helmets rescue group documented to have ties with jihadist rebels, Western and Gulf Arab governments.

Postol was not convinced by such evidence.

“Any competent analyst would have had questions about whether the debris in the crater was staged or real,” he wrote. “No competent analyst would miss the fact that the alleged sarin canister was forcefully crushed from above, rather than exploded by a munition within it.”

Instead, “the most plausible conclusion is that the sarin was dispensed by an improvised dispersal device made from a 122mm section of rocket tube filled with sarin and capped on both sides.”

I know better than this and I know better than you.

Whether a state or its agents chooses to gas a human being with sarin or with cyanide, the victims are still dead, dead, dead. It does not matter how potent or how impotent you think a gas is. Dead is dead.

Please stop trying to defend wickedness.

  47. @lawson April 12, 2017 at 11:32 AM “SS you are smarter than this, you know what he meant…”

I am indeed smarter than you and Sean Spicer put together.

A man who is the Press spokesman for the most powerful politician, in the most powerful country in the world has to say EXACTLY what he means. He cannot leave his words up for interpretation or misinterpretation. He is paid very, very well to say PRECISELY what he means.

You need to stop making excuses for incompetence.

  48. Either Spicer did not know that Hitler gassed millions of innocent children, women and men [and it is impossible that the press spokesman for the United States President does not know what the average intelligent 11 year old knows] or he thinks that the gassing of the Jews/gypsies/homosexuals was not important because they were not the right kind of people…Spicer must believe that people who are perceived as outsiders “not his people” are fair game to be persecuted and killed.

The Jews whom Hitler had killed were fully human.

The gypsies whom Hitler had killed were fully human.

The homosexuals whom Hitler had killed were fully human.

They were all the children of OUR one God.
