Our bodies and cars have some similarities. Cars may stop working if they are not properly maintained or if they are damaged in major collisions. Mechanics are trained to fix broken cars. Fixing a broken car may require the replacement of several parts; however, once the repair is finished, a driver is needed for the car to resume operating.

Our bodies may stop working properly for diverse reasons and doctors are trained to fix them. Fixing a broken body may require transplanting some organs; however, after the medical procedures are finished, the repaired body needs a soul for it to resume operating.

DRIVERS.

Once the soul leaves the body, the person is said to have died. Bodily functions may be kept working with medical equipment, but the body cannot live or be conscious without the soul. While we can transplant organs of other bodies, we cannot transplant the person – the soul.

This reveals one major difference between the human body and a car – while any driver may occupy the repaired car for it to move, only the soul assigned to that body can operate it after the repair.

ACHIEVING ONENESS.

Some claim that there is no such thing as a soul and that this consciousness is simply a part of the brain. The reason for this claim is that they have not detected the soul. Perhaps a return to the car analogy may explain this issue.

Experienced drivers may achieve oneness with their cars as if the cars became extensions of their bodies. They learn to operate cars without thinking and driving becomes as automatic as breathing. The driver is the car’s consciousness and can be said to give life to the car – directing it where the driver wants to go.

When we were children, we achieved oneness with our bodies as we learnt to crawl, walk and run. Adults tend to take this oneness for granted. However, they may experience it again by persistently practicing a new skill like skating or playing a musical instrument.

INVALUABLE SOUL.

It is easy to isolate the human from the car because we have sufficient knowledge about the manufactured car – we can read the operating and repair manuals to isolate every car part. The only reason why we cannot isolate the soul from our bodies is because we do not have sufficient knowledge. That knowledge resides with God so we would need to consult Him.

Our bodies can operate for 120 years if they are not misused, but our souls are eternal. One soul is worth more than all the riches of every nation on this Earth. Jesus put it this way: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37).

OUR PURPOSE.

We are in the first stage of training to manage the almost infinite number of stars by loving God and each other. It is critically consequential for us to forgive everyone for every wrong they have done us in the same way we want God to forgive us for the wrongs we have done to His creation. We do not advance to the second stage of training if we have not been forgiven in this stage – something which is entirely within our control.

When our time on Earth is up, we will go where we have chosen to go. Those who chose to continue their training will receive more durable bodies for that stage. Those who chose not to forgive will remain in their decaying bodies in a place that Jesus described as “where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched”.

OUR CHOICE.

To choose to spend eternity in a decaying body over managing the stars in an indestructible one makes absolutely no good sense. It is, without doubt, the most stupid choice a human being can make. Yet Jesus noted that most would choose the short-term thrills of unforgiveness and oppressing others to gain wealth over a fulfilling future working with God.

Jesus explained that there is no escape from the place of the unemployed and those who chose that way will weep at their missed opportunity. They will also gnash their teeth at those who deceived them to pursue a path of unforgiveness – suggesting that their deceivers will be similarly unemployed. The time to change employment paths is now.

  1. How is it that a PhD, so-called, could make such conceptual errors as some hideous way to end up somewhere between Genesis and Revelations, we presuppose?

These errors represent barriers to entry, limitations on how much a normally sentient mind could tolerate.

For this writer has had a vehicle drive itself, without any human interaction at all, from one Chinese city to another.

But once the old time White man’s religion, devoid of any connection with one’s own genealogy, is one’s point of departure, direction of travel and ultimate destination, a brainless driver is sorely indispensable.

‘…. the body can’t live without the soul’

Even a neophyte knows that body and soul are the same thing. Ye art soul and soul art ye!

  5. It’s alarming

Number of atheists a concern for Anglican Bishop

ANGLICAN BISHOP REVEREND Michael Maxwell, citing statistics, says the number of atheists in Barbados is “alarming”.

Speaking at a service yesterday morning to mark the golden anniversary of The Church of Christ the King in Rock Dundo, St Michael, he said he recently received statistics on religion in Barbados and the 62 000 declared atheists are cause for concern.

Maxwell called on the Church to rise up, go forward and complete the mission it was tasked with executing.

“You know, recently I was sent the statistics of religion within Barbados. And in those statistics, the survey that was taken by this Barbados Statistical Services in 2021, the survey done of 136 365 persons, it revealed, my friends, that just over 62 000 persons have indicated that they are atheists; 62 000 Barbadians of [136 365] persons have indicated boldly let’s put it, that they are atheists.

“This is an alarming statistic, for it suggests that not five per cent, it suggest that not ten per cent but it suggests that 45 per cent of persons living in Barbados have no affiliation with a religion or are saying that they do not believe in God “On the contrary, the statistics revealed that 46 per cent of our population, just one per cent over those who say that they’re atheists, declare themselves as Christians. That is certainly worrying as well. We are living in a nation where 45 per cent of our population do not acknowledge, worship, or reference God in their lives. They accept not God as their creator, liberator and sustainer. And I believe this situation stems from the fact that we as Christians, have not fervently continued the Great Commission,” he said during the service, which also commemorates the first Sunday service at the present location.

The head of the Anglican Church said that many adults failed to proclaim their faith or stand up for the truth to reverse the current trend of more persons becoming atheists. “. . . Because it seems to be an upward trend, it is high time now for our church to arise and once again boldly and openly like the early apostles, proclaim our faith in God who has been our creator, redeemer and sustainer. “We need to stop missing the mark, missing the opportunities to declare our faith and be proud and confident rather than timid or shamed to let others know of this way that leads to greater life with God,” said Maxwell.

The Bishop said he has noticed that in this age, “a number of us as Christians seem to be afraid, maybe even ashamed to proclaim the Gospel even to our own children, our grandchildren and to find time even to read God’s Word with them”.

In addition, he said, children who may be going to church with their parents were also “not encouraged to share their faith with their peers and to stand and be counted as a believer”.

He therefore wants Christians, adults and children, to “no longer keep quiet or silent about our faith and that has to be the major cause for our falling short or missing the mark, and sinning by omission” referencing an article he said he read some time ago about what the author termed “the great omission”.

“We are to proclaim in word and deed, the good news of the kingdom of reality and presence of God and what it means to live as children of His Kingdom,” said Maxwell.

He encouraged the members of Christ the King, “having recognised what is happening in our nation, to ensure that you do not miss that mark of proclaiming your faith, the good news of God’s Kingdom to members of your family and others, others in this catchment area as they respond to Jesus’ call to make disciples”.

When you look at the totality of the universe which is limitless
it is better to look at source
than limiting it to a bible / book / religion / foundation

they are not incompatible but source is bigger
and it is better to have a direct link with source
    no middle men are needed

  7. Savage Daughter Avatar
    Savage Daughter

A nice tune inspired by Norse heritage and Heathenry (Norse/Germanic paganism).

I am my mother’s savage daughter
    The one who runs barefoot
    Cursing sharp stones
I am my mother’s savage daughter
I will not cut my hair
I will not lower my voice

My mother’s child is a savage
She looks for her omens in the colors of stones
In the faces of cats, in the falling of feathers
    In the dancing of fire
In the curve of old bones

My mother’s child dances in darkness
    She sings heathen songs
By the light of the moon
And watches the stars and renames the planets
And dreams she can reach them
With a song and a broom

We are all brought forth out of darkness
Into this world, through blood and through pain
And deep in our bones, the old songs are waking
So sing them with voices if thunder and rain

We are our mother’s savage daughters
    The ones who run barefoot
    Cursing sharp stones
We are our mother’s savage daughters
We will not cut our hair
We will not lower our voice
