CLICO Players Living High on the Hog
Submitted by Fidel

Leroy Parris _ David Thompson CLICO connection
The criminal justice system of the United States saw to it that Bernie Madoff, the Ponzi Schemer was essentially put in jail for the rest of his life.
The criminal justice system of the United States saw to it that Sir Allan Stanford and the Financial Services Regulator in Antigua were put in jail for a very long long time.
In the Caribbean (the OECS and Barbados ) the Executives of C L Financial, British American Insurance Company and CLICO along with any regulatory collaborators who together perpetrated such a massive fraud against the people of the region remain at large among us living ” high on the hog “.
This is disgraceful!

Well for starters this is not a US problem and secondly, corrupt Leroy Parris is a friend to both parties in and out of power. BOTH MUST PROTECT LP less he spill the beans. Case closed. LEROY IS AN OUTSTANDING SON OF THE SOIL AND HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG. The PM says it is so then it is so. If you doubt me ask the pretensive immoral bitch who got bail out money to pay a wheel chair ridden man what the court order him to pay, if it aint so.

Don’t be so sure the FBI is not looking at the Clico matter. Undoubtedly there were some US citizens scammed in this Ponzi scheme and many of the scammed assets ended up and are in the USA.

Does anybody know the outcome of the court hearings 16-19 June? Nothing about the hearings in the media.

Perhaps I’ve missed it, but when the dirty linen was being washed in public last week, did the opposition made any reference to the benefactor of some of this CLICO hot money , who at one time was briefly occupying the most august chair in the house?

It still galls me that the people of St John elected this sour puss. It galls me to hear her telling BLP MP’s …”withdraw that statement”. How can she be deemed honourable when she KNOWS that the millions left behind by her “beloved” husband are ill gotten gains.
Policyholders out there suffering and she is sitting pretty! This DLP can really be likened to a cess pool!

If this thing is so bad, how come the best educated people in the region, living in the most orderly, most efficiently ran country in the island chain have not yet made a single move to seek redress? You guys are just crying wolf wolf all the Damn time. Doubt me?Check SOCA ON DE HILL, or better yet watch the droves headed in one direction towards Spring Garden. God Bless Barbados.

In a recent report in Guyana,it is posited that 89% of university graduates of Guyana emigrate.Barbados should take steps now to ensure we do not suffer that fate. The one sure way is to get rid of this DLP administration post haste.

@David,
Solar generated electricity is going to “dominate” in Barbados. Even Emera is embracing alternative energy. visit their website.
I am a fan of Tesla. Saw their cars and demo a couple weeks ago.
They also have developed batteries that can be hung on a wall.

Indeed Hants, the battery technology is catching up, this will be the catalyst for solar to take off in that too distant future.

As wisely advised by you and supported by ‘others’ on June 12th. it ought to be ‘back to basics’ and the original objective for granting ZR permits. The Owner or an ‘approved’ insured driver ‘guaranteed’ by the owner should be the only ones allowed to ply trade using any insured vehicle.
Massy Insurance is a Trinidadian-owned business operating to make profits and not easily influenced to offer bribes to politicians and senior bureaucrats. The underwriting of overly high risk ZR business is not going to contribute to their bottom line. Let’s see if the others will follow suit or seek to undermine the strategy to bring order and commonsense to this sector of public transportation.
Why can’t a people who claim to be so highly educated get such an important artery of its economy right? This shit will never prevail in other sophisticated jurisdictions. Only in indiscipline modern Barbados.
Either follow Massy’s position or await a massive lawsuit from some seriously injured tourists or the estate of those killed by daylight assassins.

Now what would happen to your Cahill WTE contribution to electricity generation?
What about the 24/7/365 25,000 megawatts that your new Sugar Cane Factory will be supplying to the national grid?
Now where would that leave the Spring Garden low speed diesel plant whose imported raw materials and associated costs are significant sources for government’s revenues via BNOC and BNTCL?

Bizzy installed the PV technology in the new H&B Digicel building up there at Warrens and it’s working beautifully.I am waiting for the technology to bring down the PV panel prices and I will happily join the PV family. Its a big source of energy in Europe and in the USA.It boggles the mind that with all this new technology the cabinet would go for a WTE plant and a new sugar factory to sell electricity to BL&P.Its like carrying coal to Newcastle all over again but we know why these thieves are foisting these plants on the taxpayers.

……………………………………………………………………………………………..
These low speed diesels will be reduced to scrapped value in a few years time. EMERA will then cut out and run. The Spring Garden site will join the Four Seasons Site to become the biggest commercial dump on the west coast. And it looks like we will have to embrace the alternative technology after all. Andrews sweetie factory, may well become our main source of electricity.

This is in keeping with the Prime Minister’s observation, and no doubt abhorrence, that many ordinary classed Bajans now enjoy electrified homes, water toilets , wall houses and cars.

Wahloss!! First it was Leroy Parris, now we have Chinks and Chiggers coming out of the wood pile, once again , in Barbados. What’s next?
The last time I saw a chink was in the Olympic Pit back in the 60’s.

If the chinks/bed bugs were in the Fairchild Street bus stand since September 2014 there are probably millions of them by now and not only in the bus stand but in people’s houses…looks like we have gone back to the future.
The thing is I doubt whether anybody at the Transport Board and/or the Ministry of Health has ever seen a bedbug (seeing one on the internet does not count) and if they know bed bugs like this child of the pre-60’s does they would certainly not have let the infestation sit untreated for 9 months.
