  1. It is a waste of time listening to historical nonsense. He should have dealt with it instead of blaming who institute it. He like everyone, knew that you can try to squeeze a man, but never leave your guards down. Myrie and her team took the opportunity and nail us to the cross regarding free movement. I might tell a friend he is welcome by my home. But that friend cannot expect to dig up my fridge and cupboards and barge in my bedroom talking about being welcomed. You have to put up restrictions.

  2. I believe it’s about six years since the present government was in control of the house and promised to bring change to Barbados. I’m some what surprized that after so many years of governing the blaming game is still in progress. Mr. PM it is time to acknowledge that your government has failed the Barbadian people.

  3. What a bitter, vindictive out of touch old man. The hatred, venom and envy spewing forth from his lips are not good for a man who has so many health challenges!

Doesn’t he know that hatred is a wasted emotion, it tears away the inside and it seems as if this is true as he is so bitter whenever he speaks.

He does not seem to understand that Barbadians also voted for those he called with disdain the “rejected”. Did he call himself a reject when he was rejected by the electorate in St Philip South and St Michael South? Did he called the DLP rejected in three elections the BLP won back to back? The man is such an educated ass!

  4. PRODIGAL SON

Still smarting from your election defeat in Feb. 2013. Your wounds are taking very long to heal.

All the money the BLP spent on buying votes and still in the wilderness.

  5. A caller to Brasstacks said today he had to go and buy oxygen for a friend who was hospitalised.
If the government got rid of constituency councils, that money could go to help buy supplies for the hospital and you would then have to stop feeding off the poor rakey fatted calf and stop being a BU troll and find a real job!

  6. @Prodigal Son,
What do you really know about Constituency Councils? Have you ever been to a council meeting? Have you really asked about the work the Councils do? Do you know anything about the operations, projects, implementation or any of the people who benefit from the work of the Councils? Have you ever talked with some of the pre eleven plus children who receive extra tuition supported by some constituency councils? You like so many other BLP supporters are quick to condemn without knowing about what you are condemning. You condemn the free bus transportation for school children. Have you ever done an analysis on the money it saves parents; “put money in their pockets” which they can use to buy things and support the merchants? Think!! Think!!

  7. @ alvin
What you just posted justifies the calls to shut down constituency councils. Tuition for pre-eleven plus? That was being done by MPs for yeaars. What you failed to mention is the $500,000 it costs to pay Councillors.

  8. Well said Enuff. What gobbledygook Boots Cummins continue to write. The typical acolyte of a failed party led by a failed president who got pushed in as a consequence of an act of nature. Now he continues in his role as a failed primus inter pares of the worst cabinet ever sworn in by a GG, himself a member of the barrowdems.I want to see a cabinet in which resides the confidence of the populace and its well wishers local and foreign. Can’t see it happening anytime soon but hope springs eternal.

  9. Can any of the Fatted Calf Brigade point to anything this Administration has done in or for Barbados since 2008 that should have made us proud?Answer me, O loyal sons and daughters of the damn lying party!Wunna is people too!

  10. I dont usually answer Dems especially Alvin Cummins or the other ac.

These constituency councils are making up things to do as they go along. This is not what the councils were sold in the House debate to do.
    * We hear that councils are paying for funerals of DLP supporters
    * We hear of councils walking through districts trying to find the oldest people to present fruit baskets
    * We hear of councils holding luncheons for old people
    * We hear of councils clearing snails
    * We hear of councils giving out things for children doing common entrance
    * Now we hear of councils giving lessons, my church does this for free
    * We know they put on a football tournament to the tune of $800,000

To this date, no two of these councils do the same thing nor do they know what they are about. One thing they all agree that they have to do is to pay the councillors like the chief troll on BU, CCC.

This is a waste of taxpayers money and to think that sick people in QEH cannot get medicines, there is no oxygen for sick patients (a man called Brasstacks today to say he had to go buy oxygen for a friend), no ventilators for sick children.

And you Alvin Cummins asking me what I have against constituency councils? I have to have something against them when I have not received my tax refunds for 2011 nor 2012.

Your government gave free bus fares but increased waters rates 60%, electricity keeps going up sky high, food costs have gone through the roof, gas gone up and the same parents’ bus fares went up. So what savings what you are telling me? Tell me how parents are better off?

  11. CCC

Have you or Steve Blackett paid the old lady’s light bill yet that you took during the election campaign and fooled her that you all would pay it? Dont you all know that is criminal to fool old people, pretending that you would help and then turn your back on them?

Now if you had to use council money to help an elderly person, I would not mind since you told her that the welfare had no money. Wunnah aint shame?

  12. wuh david i help to contribute to this B/S look at all the negative articles u post on a daily bais .then u got the gall calling for bipartianship .just a reminder yor are the ring master and which everyway you snap the whip the BU clowns would follow.

wuh david YOU help to contribute to this B/S look at all the negative articles u post on a daily basis .then u got the gall calling for bipartianship .just a reminder yor are the ring master and which everyway you snap the whip the BU clowns would follow.
    absolutely

  14. All who don’t want four more years of this bs will have to take back control of Barbados Underground.

  15. PRODIGAL SON

    You belong to a church?

You don’t get frighten that the church roof collapse on you on of these Sundays?

A man like you so full of hatred with no love for your fellow man. No wonder church attendance falling in Barbados because people see you in church and know what a rat you are they stay away from church in droves.

  16. You dont bother with me! Worry with own self! Do you have a problem with David Durant?
I do what I am supposed to be doing, I manifest my faith………..I share what I have, I give gifts. I help the poor and I am compassionate to those who have been made the poorer because of the policies of the wicked government that you support and is a part of. I have a right to defend my country! So butt out of my life!

  17. You are reading “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Allinsky. Aren’t you? Trying to target your opponents and then demonise them? It wont work with me……..be off!

  18. @ Alvin Cummings… What do these councils do that Urban could not? Post 2008 I supported these councils as a new implementation by a new administration, but in the face of an austerity package where the bulk of the weight is felt by those who could least afford to carry such weight, where three and four months have passed and certain workers have not seen a paycheck, where the stories about the two Barbadoses that this administration promised to eradicate are as prevalent now as there were back then, do you not see why the level of frustration is rising by the minute?I sure can. On another matter is it only me or did Peter Wickham actually question a caller last Thursday about why a woman friend of the caller’s who had no job in Jamaica, wanted to come to Barbados for three weeks? I thought I heard him say “even I can’t take a three month vacation”. Monday that same sentiment expressed by the PM boiled the blood of Peter the pollster the creator of the infamous wobble, that has left question marks in relation to credibility where this government is concerned.

  19. @ Prodigal Son
He does not seem to understand that Barbadians also voted for those he called with disdain the “rejected”. Did he call himself a reject when he was rejected by the electorate .
    ………………………………………………………..
And some of the rejects on his side are now sitting in the Upper House, some holding Ministerial positions. A classic middle finger (British 2-finger) salute to the people of Barbados.

  20. David | October 17, 2013 at 7:25 PM |

Did the Prime Minister state on the recording that he goes to bed early and therefore is missing from the cocktail circuit?
    ______________________

David what i find most interesting is what he said next. i believe he was talking to his “own”. he has to know what the BLP is saying about him and given the fact that he could care less about them, he has to be talking to the Donvilles, Chris and Estwicks in his party.

if you talk to anyone who knows the PM well, they tell you how spiteful he is.

  21. wait i have to give a shout out to miller and some xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. another person MIA is CASWELL i hope bushtea didn’t kidnapped him would be taking this BUP thing too far,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,CASWELL BU LOOKING fuh YOU well ac couldn’t care less,,,,..

  22. If ever you could call someone political rejects it would have to be those in the DLP like Esther Byer Suckoo, the same Patrick Todd and Harry Husbands whom this same PM appointed. Byer Suckoo won her seat by over 900 votes in 2008 and performed so poorly that in 2013, she lost by over 900 votes. That is political rejection!

David (not BU) I guess one could conclude that Todd is a floating minister of state!

  23. Two hundred and twenty seconds of Fraud Ellis’s voice before the Prime Minister voice is heard … There should be an award for the Egomaniac Of The Year Award … one would think that a politician would win it nah …!

  24. Taken from FB
“Isn’t it strange that on 29th May 2009 the Govt of Barbados, unknown to Parliament, signed a short stay visa waiver agreement in Brussels, allowing Bulgarians to visit Barbados for up to 3 months in any 6 month period without a visa, with Barbadians having similar access to Bulgaria. So what was PM Stuart’s point again on Barbados ‘signing away it’s sovereignty ‘ to the Caricom Community in 2007 ? OH yeah I forgot, that was done clandestinely, and unknown to parliament, by the former govt to allow our neighbours, described by some who should know better as liars and prostitutes, from the banana, plantain and fig Republics in the region to come here. Politics of grime and deceit.”

    Hmm what is this?

  25. before he come out and inspire confidence in the ppl of the country he at ah branch meeting talking shite like if he at comedy show ,wid de de yard-fowls in de back crowing , i felt shame is ass listen to de idiot ,he say he win de election but he aint getting on like if he win ,big nose! get up off ya ass and return Barbados to growth it s what the f&%$#* ppl vote for ,ppl aint vote for u to hear u talking shite bout de opposition, any time u open ur mouth

  26. Don’t seem that the DLP was thinking about border security when they signed that agreement with Bulgaria…..they can’t even blame that one on the BLP…..lol..now who in Barbados wants to fly all the way to Bulgaria, having to take anywhere between 3-4 planes to reach final destination, only to see some caves and mineral springs, Bulgaria is known for unrest……..a flight from North America to Switzerland unnerves me, hate long flights, now what business would Bajans be doing with Bulgarians, maybe getting some card readers made….lol

  27. These DEMS so blasted evil, Dennis Lowe got a bad heart and in parliament telling lies on his bad health. These people wicked beyond wicked. I hope they don’t raise his blood pressure cause he will pay the price.

On another note, we final got a reply to Mia’s motion from Donville (Donville should be getting triple pay for doing his job, MoF and PM). The MoF should start back talking to Donville because he could learn a thing or two.

  28. Note Agreement is signed for Barbados by Maxine McClean.

Who ever heard of an agreement between governments requiring only one signature?

  29. “Card-skimming and pickpocketing are among the most common crimes, with Romanian and Bulgarian gangs thought to be responsible for 90% of all card-skimming offences in Europe.”

    ____________________________-

So, the DLP government is courting organized criminals in Bulgaria as tourists to the island willing to give them 3 months stay and the PM has the nerve to talk about border protection and his concern that Caricom citizens getting 6 month stays, he should thank his lucky stars these known criminals from Eastern Europe did not get into the central bank, he would then know who the real threat to Barbados’ borders are and realize that it is not his own brothers and sisters from Caricom, i am surprised he can still show his face anywhere….I did say McClean is just plain soft in the head, not bright at all……

  30. @Prodigal Son
David (not BU) I guess one could conclude that Todd is a floating minister of state!

    No 2 also floats.

  31. Well WELLsays

    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………

So why don,t YOU check YOUR FACTS before expelling such garbage ..There are about 28 other international countries that are granted such privileged ,PM STUART did not authorise or signed such agreements he found those laws in place, PM STUART nor the DLP or For that matter the BLP can.t be the international policeman ,You and other BLP Yardfowls relish and enjoys being smut talkers and inquisitor generals great in the role of stirring jobbyand creating mischief,

    • With the motion of no confidence coming the PM should shedule a press conference to update Barbados on the projects mentioned in the last budget which the government will be depending to spur economic activity in Barbados. He indicated during the budget that he will Chair the Cabinet sub-committee set to oversee projects. This is what some people mean when we talk about communication.

  32. ac……….as usual your one functioning braincell precedes any cohesive thoughts, the document signed by none other than Maxine McClean is dated 2009…………don’t care which party did what, i would say the same thing. Could not Thompson or Stuart at that time in 2009 (bet you they did not do one iota of research on the country) on researching Bulgaria had opted to not include them because they are known CRIMINALS or was it a case of as long as they are white, they can be allowed into the island to pimp, prostitute, traffic drugs, steal money, etc…..is that what you and DLP has reduced the island to……….pimping out the island to anyone who is white as long as tourist dollars abounds………pathetic.

  33. ”Carson C. Cadogan | October 17, 2013 at 7:13 PM |
All who don’t want four more years of this bs will have to take back control of Barbados Underground.”
    ——————
Interesting comment that exhibits the view.

    Please note the word, ‘control’.

Surely this should be a place (defer to the blog owner), for exchange of ideas for the betterment of the country, not a place for one individual or group to ‘control’?

    Freudian Slip?

  34. Crusoe………..Carson is trying to subtly prompt people who knows David’s identity to give it up, remember he remains a true and rabid supporter of the DLP and they increasingly have a lot to hide from the electorate….

  35. @Well Well,

If that is the case, he and others must be abysmal at using the internet, I believe the gentleman’s identity is right out there, if anyone is interested.

I think I have crossed it, not that I have any brief nor ‘care’ from a critical viewpoint. Glanced and moved on.

  36. Crusoe..you are talking about the DLP and their rabid supporters/yardfowls, not the brightest bunch to begin with………lol
