    Dear David,
I am eternally greatful to you for having the time the willingness to set this site up and I look forward to many great things from you as you go forward.

You did a wonderful job in exposing the ills of the past Gov’t and allowed for some where for honest law abiding citizens to vent their frustrations with the past leader his deputy and his followers.

We expect that you will also now keep this new Gov’t on the correct path to progress and upward mobility for all.

Once again CONGRATS to you and your team.

David let me be the first to suggest that you make your intentions felt and address the likes of this Chase thing early on before its vile mouthings are exposed on your site.

  12. Congrats David and team for your unbiased and well thought out articles which are appreciated by the many commenters. I surely salute you for your democractic management of your blog by allowing commenters like me to vent ideas without the constant moderations. I hope that you will be able to continue enlightening Barbadian about the problem affecting us, the positives that we keep overlooking and a future that will change the care free and procrastinated way we live. Again, CONGRATS for a job well done!!!!!!!!!

  13. Congrats on an excellent year’s work David and the BU household.

You are promoted to second year.

Barbados owes you a great debt for so selflessly introducing us to 21st century journalism.

  17. On the behalf of the Executive and General Membership of the People’s Democratic Congress (PDC), I, Mark Adamson, Political Leader and President of the People’s Democratic Congress, join others on this forum in extending happy first anniversary birthday greetings to David and the Barbados Underground blog.

Indeed, my party and I realize that there are three very important things that have so far stood out about you and this Barbados-based internet news and current affairs blog, and there are: (1), both you and BU’s strong commitment to the further growth and development of this very exciting, effecient and fast-becoming major method of inter-communication and cross-fertilization of ideas and expressions among people, here in Barbados and elsewhere; both your undoubted commitment to facilitating, ensuring and maintaining a very pronounced academic, intellectual and rational style and content to your lead blogs, and the subjects and matters to be discussed thereunder; and (3), your continued heart-felt thrust to let prevail a spirit of real freedom of expression and debate among bloggers, and therefore respect for and tolerance of those views and positions of other bloggers – a genuine indicator of creating a real on-line family setting.

Also, we realize that to remain committed – as you both have been doing for one year – to providing such a forum for mainly Barbadian internet users of so many different political, religious, racial, professional and other backgrounds – thus such being the basis for the deluge of conflicting views and positions that will emerge from time to time on the blog – must definitely still mean that you and BU have a strong and overriding love, desire and passion for the art and science of communicating with as many people as possible wheresoever, and for seeing that these said people are greatly and effectively informed – through the use of available modern technologies – about so many ideas and things that encircle and relate to them. Well done, we say, for harnessing your God given talents!!

Finally, we say to you – both David and BU -continue, with the aplomb, dignity, fervour and great sense of balance that you have been long portraying, to carry the oracle of foresight and vision, and the mantle of leadership and direction, of this exemplary form of citizen’s journalism, onwards and upwards into the furtherest points of the constellation of knowledge and inquiry, rest assured that your most and sweetest rewards will certainly be in the deepest and innermost parts of the hearts, souls and minds of humanity. Almighty Bless.

    Political Leader and President,

  18. Thanks to all but any successes gained could only have been achieved with the help of the BU family and blogosphere!

  19. Keep the good work up.

  20. Congratulations! I don’t always agree with what is posted but it has been a blessing in disguise for Barbados that the idea of this blog was conceived. Keep up the good work.
