It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of a cherished member of the BU family. His comments were always thoughtful, balanced, and informed – stripped of the hyperbole – especially at the height of the COVID-19 period , when his professional insight guided many of us through that uncertain time. Marcus Aurelius wrote, “It is not death that a man should fear, but never beginning to live.” He lived fully through service and sharing his wisdom to humankind.
