Having failed, so far, to strong-arm enough CARICOM member states to act as a fig leaf behind which it could launch an invasion of Haiti, the US is doubling down on its efforts. In early May, it was reported that Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the US ambassador to the United Nations had visited Brazil to press the recently elected president, Lula da Silva to agree to Brazil leading the invasion force against Haiti.

  1. What a surprise!!!!!

The US empire has NEVER abandoned any invasion scheme, anywhere.

There has NEVER been any sovereignty of states so popularly memed.

Because empire has never recognized any such concept. Not even that alleged by its socalled allies. See how the European economies are being systematically and permanently destroyed. It’s the USA which is stealing Germany’s industrial base, given cheaper gas, and offering incentives to relocate.

Talk about democracy and autocracy. We’ve always only had the latter. Even as the American movies are watched, pizza eaten and thoughts of freedom widely believed.

What a world as created in the fiction of Huxley!

Ask the Russians. After losing near 30 million to lead the West in the destruction of their Nazis, thusly created.

Winston Churchill and Harry Truman had advanced plans to invade Stalin’s Russia. Immediately afterwards when Russia was at its weakest. Stalin who had saved the West from their snarling, out of control, dog – Nazi Germany.

With Caricom misleadership satraps playing interference no one should be surprised that war is still on the table. Its the only card the Americans have. For diplomacy is in Beijing. But poor America, they can’t even do that well anymore.

Remember, the soft coup Caricom led in Guyana. These people cannot but do what Washington says.

The thing is that America could not even beat the BDF or a troop of sea scouts. Far less a real army like the Iranians , the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans. In fact, the Iranians have beaten then up to half dozen times in proxy wars over the last two decades.

Don’t be surprised if Caricom is asked to contribute blood like the fools in Ukraine.

  2. We wonder what a Mottley says when she sees that America jettisoning all the neo’liberal market orthodoxies in pursuit of military goals.

They’ve been failing to get the majority of the world to accept price caps for oil and gas, to impose sanctions on Russia, getting anything to pass the UNSC. And on and on!

  3. Assets seizures at home and abroad. Without a legal judgement. Where assets stolen by government officials disappear in the pockets of official criminals.

  4. Where are these democracy fools.

America, having plotted the death of former Haitian president, Moise, by of group of CIA assassins.

    In his bed!

Now, this same United States wants to manage the case through their Miami district attorney.

It’s like calling an arsonist to extinguish a fire.

Jesus Christ man! What the fcuk has to happen for even the dullest amongst us to see that that entity is the devil himself.

  6. Linda Thomas-Greendield, wid her psuedo-sophisticated, double-barelled name, as a White in Black face, is beginning to exceed the most extreme expressions of the proverbial AntieJane, Uncle Tom.

Even those highest standards set by Obama.

The stark contradictions presented by a fascist US government of a woooman in Black face, with unique capabilities of ignoring the racist culture of that country, at a time when the entire Global South is in revolution, a time when the Erasian Bloc has her checkmated within the UN, to have the temerity to show this hideous face in attempting to persuade governments that imperial interests for the centuries of cultural wars on Haití are to continue is truly breath taking.

Certainly, happy to…the proud gate keepers of the system can have and keep it in its entirety, and keep those who trapped them… they are more than deservng..

    It’s a beautiful day.

  11. If the US delays its invasion any longer, every Haitian will have migrated there and it should be a cinch.

Apart from its proximity to the US, what exactly does Haiti have that the US would want?

  12. David…… there are several Haitians living and working in Barbados. Unlike the Guyanese and Jamaicans, they ‘keep a very low profile.’

Anyone would want iridium, and possibly more oil and gas than Venezuela…where have you been …the false narrative that Haiti is poor ended years ago….small islanders too love to believe false nareatives and dont do research…

Google it…am doing you a solid so you dont look foolish…that information was posted here more than once and up to a couple months ago

John….Haiti is extremely wealthy by the TRILLIONS…..and can take care of the entire Caribbean, so looking down on Haitians as poor is really foolish…now it is so widely known…..

It was all due to circumstances, still is…

  15. @Artax

Haitians will assimilate because of appearance. Guyanese et al there are the ethnic considerations.

  16. The racist lives!

Cheap labour which is near its borders. Ask the many manufacturing brands there.

In addition, Haiti has various minerals and large oil and gas have just been discovered. Real hydrocarbons like Guyana not Barbados.

Most importantly, Haiti was the example racists like you have determined should be whipped forever since it had the courage to say to your racist kef and kin that slavery must end and defeated all the world powers in quick succession.

Anyone who was not a genetic racist would have long been interested in such.

For these reasons and more only the mushroom clouds can act as corrective to you brutes.

Pacha…after 100 years of being UNGRATEFUL to the Haitians who freed our ancestors from chattel slavery, now the reality is hitting home that Haiti also has all the resources needed to free this entire region from poverty.

Ironic isnt it…..wonder how the uppity negros feel now. ..as usual shame, guilt and remorse is not part of their social upbringing…and am sure they will learn absolutely nothing.

Oh, it’s coming to the fore what they have done, and for all the wrong reasons.

Now everyone seem to have gone rogue in sync…was just voicing that we warned of the corruption for years and years, it was quite obvious there was much more in play than tiefing from economies and vulnerable populations incapable of fighting back…, but not many were paying attention, or acting to stop these frauds, so their action plan is already launched.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

St. Domingue was up to 1791 the richest colony in the New World. The wealth was in agricultural products, sugar coffee etc.

The French invested heavily in St. Domingue. It had rivers and mountains so abundant water power.

It exported 40% of all the sugar consumed in Europe.

The French Revolution of 1789 created chaos not only in France, but also in St. Domingue.

    The economy was destroyed.

French capital moved to Cuba and La Louisiane.

This meant sugar prices trebled and it became profitable to not only invest in sugar production in Cuba and La Louisiane, but also if you were British, in Trinidad and Guyana which had recently been acquired.

St. Domingue, subsequently Haiti also became synonymous with Yellow Fever and death and was avoided for almost a century.

The source of Yellow Fever was not identified until 1882 and it was done in Cuba when it was under American occupation.

These are nice to have but without private capital it will always be a no go.

In addition…the reality is the billions and billions stolen from the people and country over these many decades could have overhauled the education system…..concretized the roads so no 3 yearly Cow scam of dropping barber green in potholes to skim billions from the treasury, that causes the roads to fall into craters like clockwork and it’s wash, rinse, repeat ….. concrete roads last 40 years…but dey int no bribery and corruption in dat…so it int happening.

.. it’s very clear Pacha….the education system will never be overhauled and as seen, there exists adults who dont know the difference between an opinion….sharing of information that’s already in the public domain…..and facts…

..incoming generations dont stand a chance, and the ones already here are stuck mis and undereducated…except for the few..

But…nuhbody int ask yet, WHERE all the STOLEN billions over the decades gone, they act like it’s not in their best interest to know..they act like it just disappeared into thin air….wuh iz dem money and they seem not to care…

  28. I will profess to be ignorant of much of the history of Haiti but a cursory glance seems to indicate that it was the Hatians themselves or their leaders who were corrupt and bankrupted their own country.

No different to Barbados where billions have disappeared over decades and unaccounted for, that’s the country i was referring to above….

…cause i know there is corruption in Haiti as there is throughout the Caribbean, but have no details on how much was stolen or who is involved as we have for Barbados…never researched any.

In saying that , that is not the main problem Haiti has although it comes in a very close second., the information is in the public domain…and available to anyone interested.

One of the main problems across the region, for Barbados it’s the main one…the corrupt frauds and thieves in the parliaments pretending to be leaders.

I can show you where 100 million USD went!!!

    Wastemoreland.

Came down to permissions to develop a golf course using the last 2 million gallon of water per day resource in the Portland catchment.

Golf course and housing was developed and then sold on for $100 million USD in 2000!!

We see Google is a close friend.

Maybe it’s the reason you can’t think critically. That you are more of a bot, or a botsy, than a humanoid.

That Haití had a booming economy in those times has no representación of what Haití is today, in economic terms. A similar case could be made of Barbados, for a certain period. When it was a global centre for the international slave trade.

First. It was a slave economy buster. Having a good economy was more a function of French imperialism than Haití per se.

Second, haven’t you known of modern countries which rejected White imperialism, like Haití did, and has been sanctioned to near death. Cuba is an example. There are many more. In fact, one third of world countries are under sanctions wars.

Third, are the Haitians to be blamed for American imperialism from abroad and a petite bourgeoisie at home. One reinforcing the other. Forces which up to now continue to impoverish the country.

Fourth, do you know that your very American slave traders were seeking after 1804 to exert rights to the re-enslavement of problems. because the Afrikan trade was facing problems. The same America still the leading fascist country.

Is Barbados any better, given that it is assumed that outside forces did not impose corrupt dictators as leaders for over 100 years as was with Haití?

And you, a White Johnny clot, could in this day and age refuse to even recognize the wickedness of your own stinking White people speaks to the genetic nature of White supremacist philosophy, praxis.

Dumbed down yanks living in fancy well to do places think they are more intelligent than those in poorer places and that better developments made in technology and manufacturing means they are superior people.
They are lucky to be living a wealthier privileged lifestyle but are not any more gifted or educated than people in other nations. They are spoiled and still have issues.

For all the times I have critiqued your assertions as unbowed fanaticism to your Putin-style world view I wholeheartedly acclaim this view above (which has little to do with Russian orthodoxy 😎🙏🏿), senor Pacha!!

It’s absolutely distressing AND annoying that anyone who titles himself as an amateur historian (and lawyer to boot) would disavow the massive evidence of how ‘France impoverished Haiti’ (to paraphrase Williams) for over a century with the weight of the $$$Billions in REPARATIONS they exacted for Toussaint and Dessalines ‘rapturous’ ‘Independence’ victories.

It can’t be from a lack of awareness as the man is too astute…. and of course he would be well aware of the most recent NYT article last year that detailed the massive economic rape by France.

Sad. Very sad. And surely lack of critical awareness.

    We’re unbothered.

If this were during the 1940s and before, we would have been on the side of the so-called Jews too.

Knowing what is known now. That might have been a misguidance.

Arab- Muslims have a long history of spitting on Black people. We’ve witnessed this on travels to countries in the Persian Gulf. Elsewhere.

And this may happen again, if and when they overcome.

Try to see the future, but am just as subject to error as anybody else. But will never stop trying to bend this arc .

There are black muslims all over the world.
For perspective of the racial wars:
Islam can be considered a religion of people of colour whereas Christianity can be considered a religion for people with no colour.

This thread alludes to CIA conspiracy about USA within Haiti but in absence of explicit details it is a nod to warn people to keep an eye on the region for future news events of war and rumours of war
