The measure of a caring society will always be how it takes care of the most vulnerable. The news some elderly persons are being denied access to being vaccinated against Covid 19 by relatives is cruel. The Covid Dashboard for all countries confirm senior citizens have been affected more than any other group.

The other concern with deep implications for Barbados society is the inability of government to get children back to face to face learning. It is one thing to see key players in the education sector grip and grinning in the media receiving electronic devices to be distributed to children to support online learning, it is another to observe children on the streets during school time. A chat with any teacher about the challenges of online learning an a few become emotional. There is no need to list the challenges in detail, the education directorate and stakeholders are aware. We need to fix it!

Before the pandemic there were legitimate concerns about the quality and relevance of our education program and indiscipline among our youth. We make a lot of noise about the so called lost decade. Soon we may be discussing the lost generation.

A word to an educated country should be enough.

Attached are the charts for the week ending 19th November.  I reduced the intervals on the time axis of the daily incidence graph to more clearly show the clear current decrease in the 7-day trendline.  The decreases are quite gradual suggesting that control is not likely to be as precipitous as say in the recent Grenada spike.  Positivity is also slowly decreasing but we are still far from the 5%.     Wherever did you get the idea that I have a hang up about sex?

    (Or an incapacity, for that matter.)

    Little Pee Pee, I am celebate because men of my age group who, as I said, see me as their equal and place no restrictions on nor have no expectations of me because of my gender are in short supply. I have no use for the other kind.

    There is more to life than shagging. One can be healthy and happy without it, especially at my age.
    Nevertheless, sex has its place.
    Its place is not EVERYWHERE. Those who behave as though it is are irritating.

    Now on to the definition of marriage. When I said it was defined for us by the Church I really meant for Barbadian society. Most Barbadians have an issue with the idea of gay unions being called marriage which they understand as taking place between a man and a woman. I don’t give a damn what you call it but I see no need to argue about it.

    With respect to the Anglican church. That is where I connected with God. I no longer need an intermediary. The Anglican church was good to me. It helped to heal my wounds and release my creativity. It was less rigid, restricted and dogmatic than other churches. It always questioned itself and therefore it learned and grew. It demanded no pledge of allegiance to a monarch, titular head or otherwise.

    As I have said before, I have no intention of throwing out the baby with the bathwater, nor reinventing myself as an African. I do not seek to purge myself of all things British. I seek only to reclaim the part of me that was stripped away.

    History happened. I am a Caribbean woman of African AND BRITISH descent. I embrace the whole.

    Truth is, if the British were no longer racist and our equality was recognised in word and deed, their colour would be of no importance to me. And history would stay in the past.

    The reality is that we are still not embraced as equals and therefore I reject their monarch as the head of my government.

    P.S. I was made to understand that Henry did not found the Anglican church but merely switched the alliance of the monarchy to an already existing church. The officials of the church got many things wrong in those days but that is no longer the case. I deal in the present. There is presently not a Henry the Eighth in sight.

    And finally, YUH MUDDAH!

No way they’d let early treatment get in their way by preventing death! Lest you find such evil callousness hard to imagine, please know that lawsuits have already proven multiple Pharma companies felonious and ruthless. Their COVID19 rushed vaccine products are dispensed under an emergency use authorization (EUA) and by law EUAs are only possible if there is no meaningful treatment available. Prevention and early treatment are aggressively censored to protect their vaccination program.

    Then we have CDC with their mantra of vaccines as “safe and effective” despite major challenges to their safety and even some vaccines effectiveness. The “safe” claim is their marketing phrase and NOT scientific truth, as the parents of countless pre-COVID vaccine-injured children can attest from fully approved vaccines on the CDC children’s vaccine schedule.

    On this blog we talked of the failure of the educational system. We also pointed a finger or two at the teachers. No one mentioned the obvious failure of some parents.

    Please, don’t tell me these are children where both parents died of COVID.

    As if it was even needed, another study was recently released, out of Germany this time, showing that high Vitamin D levels are vital to strengthen our immune systems to the extent needed to resist the Sars-Cov-2 virus and other nasty bugs.

    Vaccination is an important part in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 but, with respect to the situation described above, should not be the only focus. One strong pillar in the protection against any type of virus infection is the strength of our immune system [12]. Unfortunately, thus far, this unquestioned basic principle of nature has been more or less neglected by the responsible authorities. (My emphasis /BC) It is well known that our modern lifestyle is far from optimal with respect to nutrition, physical fitness, and recreation. In particular, many people are not spending enough time outside in the sun, even in summer. The consequence is widespread vitamin D deficiency, which limits the performance of their immune systems, resulting in the increased spread of some preventable diseases of civilization, reduced protection against infections, and reduced effectiveness of vaccination [13].

    In this publication, we will demonstrate that vitamin D3 deficiency, which is a well-documented worldwide problem [13–20], is one of the main reasons for severe courses of SARS-CoV-2 infections. The fatality rates correlate well with the findings that elderly people, black people, and people with comorbidities show very low vitamin D3 levels [16,21–23].(My emphasis /BC) Additionally, with only a few exceptions, we are facing the highest infection rates in the winter months and in northern countries, which are known to suffer from low vitamin D3 levels due to low endogenous sun-triggered vitamin D3 synthesis [24–27].

    Vitamin D3 was first discovered at the beginning of the 19th century as an essential factor needed to guarantee skeletal health. This discovery came after a long period of dealing with the dire consequences of rickets, which causes osteomalacia (softening of bones). This disease especially affected children in northern countries, who were deprived of sunlight and often worked in dark production halls during the industrial revolution [28]. At the beginning of the 20th century, it became clear that sunlight can cure rickets by triggering vitamin D3 synthesis in the skin. Cod liver oil is recognized as a natural source of vitamin D3 [29]. At the time, a blood level of 20 ng/mL was sufficient to stop osteomalacia. This target is still the recommended blood level today, as stated in many official documents [30]. In accordance with many other publications, we will show that this level is considerably too low to guarantee optimal functioning of the human body.

    News Item: Belgian doctor says in TV report that 100% of patients in some hospitals’ ICU are vaccinated with “breakthrough” infections. Another example why, after all the pro-vaccine hype in the initial rollout period, they finally had to admit the Covid vaccines did NOT confer immunity on the recipients (as per the standard expectation for a vaccine) and then simply redefined vaccine to include therapeutic agents that reduced severity of symptoms for infected persons.

    Right now, here, we see that a majority of patients have break through infections. Very different from a few weeks ago when the majority of the ICU was still unvaccinated, but right now that is not true anymore. The patients in the ICU of our hospitals in GZA, I checked it yesterday, are all vaccinated.

    Did Fauci just admit complete vaxx failure?

    In a November 12 podcast session with the New York Times, Fauci was forced to admit the fact that the vaccines do not reliably protect their recipients from serious Covid or death.

    Called upon to explain the data coming from Israel – a country with one of the highest vaccination rates in the world – Fauci said the following:

    “They are seeing a waning of immunity not only against infection but against hospitalization and to some extent death, which is starting to now involve all age groups. It isn’t just the elderly”

    In other words, the vaccines’ protective efficacy wanes not only in regard to the threat of infection, but also in regard to severe Covid and death. Speaking about the effectiveness of the vaccines in countries with high vaccination rates, Fauci admitted:

    “It’s waning to the point that you’re seeing more and more people getting breakthrough infections, and more and more of those people who are getting breakthrough infections are winding up in the hospital.”

    Even though Fauci tries to palliate the hard impact of his answer in soft language, the harsh truth behind his words is painfully evident.

    Fauci’s words amount to the admission that the vaccinated are getting infected and more and more of them are ending up in hospital where they keep succumbing to Covid at increasing rates.

    I have to admit though that I am worried that November has only produced 0.96 inches when it normally produces upwards of 7 inches.

    Brazil has been cool since June, no major floods.

    Three to four months cases decline.

    Israel could see a surge in 4 to six weeks.

    Three days ago experienced flooding.

    Good thing is number of cases starting from a small number but we will see.

    strong>Heavy burden of health care

    BARBADOS’ BATTLE against COVID-19 has been a costly one for Government. This country has a health care sector that has its various challenges, but one about which all Barbadians should be proud, especially when considering that much richer countries do not offer the same level of public care.
    Private health care providers here also offer services that can match many in the world.
    While public health care is considered free at the point of delivery to Barbadians, they do contribute to it via the taxes they pay.
    But for all intents and purposes, public health care is free. Before the pandemic there was a major challenge with the cost of treatment for people suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases. That problem has not gone away, and health experts have suggested it has worsened during this period.
    The health sector, via the Ministry of Health and its various departments, benefited from a large share of Government’s budget before COVID-19, and has required even more funding since then. Just last week, while delivering a Ministerial Statement in the House of Assembly on Government’s Mid-Term Budget Review, Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan Straughn reported that a third wave of COVID-19 here saw an additional $48 million provided to the Ministry of Health and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) to respond to the pandemic.
    The minister added that by the end of September, the QEH had already exhausted its COVID-19 vote for this fiscal year due to the significant increase in cases during the summer. The hospital was voted $120 million in this year’s Estimates approved by Parliament, so one can see the extent to which the pandemic has drained its financial resources.
    No one knows when the pandemic will end, and
    other health-related challenges will also persist, if not worsen. This suggests that an increasing amount of Government’s financial resources will be required by the health sector in 2022. This will not be a major problem if Government’s revenues recover as a result of the expected tourism rebound having a positive effect on economic activity.
    However, even if this turns out to be the case, which we hope it does, the issue of health care financing is one that the authorities will have to revisit sooner or later. While this matter may not be one currently on the minds of most Barbadians, it is not one we can afford to delay too long.
    Speaking in March during the Estimates Debate, Minister of Health and Wellness Jeffrey Bostic said Cabinet was reviewing a costing study related to a health care financing model. He suggested the overall process was at a preliminary stage.
    While no one should want to burden Barbadians with increased costs at a time when the cost of living is high, the heavy burden now being carried by the health care sector, especially the financial one, illustrates the need for Government to prioritise health care funding reform.
    No one knows when the pandemic will end, and other health-related challenges will also persist, if not worsen.

    Do the math.

    Barbados: Low rainfall ->high Daylight Hours -> High Vitamin D ->> Low Covid incidence.
    Barbados: High rainfall /widespread flooding -> low daylight hours -> Low Vitamin D ->> High Covid incidence.

    Plus a plethora of other factors that probably influence disease spread.

    BC just had alot of flooding and looks like Israel too.

    In a few weeks if patterns remain true to form, both will see a surge in COVID, BC first then Israel.

    I said so for Spain, Italy and Germany when they experienced floods and sure enough their cases surged.

    What’s amazing for me is that no one has picked up on the obvious patterns.

    Surges are a part of a sequence and invariably follow floods.

    Can’t get easier than that.

    Since the Japanese are among the longest lived humans on the planet (check with the resident BU longevity expert if you doubt me) and the Japanese switched to Ivermectin the remarks mussee right.

    Japan is also almost COVID free.

    126 million Japanese and 1.4 billion Indians cant be wrong and would clearly show the musings of an ex scholar to be absolutely correct..

    If Japan gets hit by any serious flooding the question would be whether the few remaining cases could be the seeds for future spread.

    I reckon Israel is going to be an interesting country to observe.

    Cases are very low but it has had serious flooding in the past few days.

    By Christmas we will know.

    Watch British Columbia too, good chance it will experience a COVID surge in the next month or so.

    Europe is so screwed up at the moment that the only thing they can do is try Ivermectin and see if it works for them.

    Scorpions descend on Aswan, Egypt, killing three and wounding 450 people. Residents of Aswan, Egypt were sent scrambling as a mass of scorpions and snakes descended upon the southern Nile city, in a scene reminiscent of a Biblical plague.Three people were killed and at least 450 were wounded from scorpion stings in a one day period, Egyptian officials reported on Saturday, after violent thunderstorms and hail had dislodged the scorpions from their regular hangouts.Seeking safety from the elements, the creatures swarmed Aswan en masse, making their way into private homes, apartments, and the streets of the city.

    The Egyptian black fat-tail scorpion is one of the world’s deadliest predatory arachnids. Just one fat-tail sting contains enough venom to kill an adult in less than an hour. The adverse weather conditions also included sandstorms and high winds, which felled electricity lines and led to power cuts which slowed down emergency response times. The scorpion onslaught caused the Egyptian Health Ministry to assume an emergency protocol and redirect its doctors from giving COVID-19 vaccinations to treating scorpion stings.

    Health Ministry official Ehab Hanafy told Al-Ahram news agency that doctors had been called back from vacation and weekend breaks to provide support for scorpion sting victims. Anti-venom was distributed at local health clinics and hospitals, he added. As of Sunday, 80 people were being treated at Aswan University Hospital, with hundreds of others receiving care at nearby medical centers.

    While snakes were also reportedly washed out of their usual habitats and flooded into the town, the deaths and serious injuries were all due to scorpion stings. Aswan’s governor, Ashraf Attia, advised residents to stay away from areas with trees or heavy brush.

    Neither myself nor this site is able to confirm anything that Helen Smith, a veteran nurse who has worked in the ICU section of hospitals for years has related of her experiences working with COVID-19 patients and the procedures used by the hospital that she has witnessed. She does not blame the doctors whom she says have to follow the higher-ups at the hospital. She related these experiences in an interview with The Gateway Pundit.

    Smith said: “I have been a nurse for almost 25 years. Most of my career has been in ICU. I have never seen anything like this in my whole career. They are not allowing doctors to do what they want to do to help the patients. Everything is being regulated by higher-ups in the hospitals.” Smith related the many practices that would normally be laid at the feet of the hospital’s patients. She says those practices were unorthodox, unhygienic and dangerous practices that were implemented within medical facilities during the pandemic.

    Smith continued:

    “They were dying because doctors were immediately intubating patients and providing them with remdesivir, an expensive drug that does nothing to treat covid or respiratory illness, but shuts down the organs.” “At the beginning, they weren’t even allowing them oxygen; they were just intubating them right away. At the time, they said they didn’t want to spread the Covid so they wouldn’t do high flow, or BIPAP or any other therapeutics, they just automatically got intubated, intubated with a breathing tube, a ventilator.”

    Doctors began withholding hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, medications under guidance from the American Medical Association, Center For Disease Control, and Food and Drug Administration. Both hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin have been proven as effective in other countries. Many third-world countries have a better record against the virus than the United States has. In Africa, only 6% of the population is vaccinated, but their infection rates are below ours.

    “A major part of why people were dying from Covid is because they were putting people on remdesivir and intubating them. The only drug they were giving people is remdesivir – and we still are. Remdesivir costs $5,000 a bag and it doesn’t do anything, It can shut your organs down. A lot of the covid patients treated with remdesivir end up on dialysis. Intubating patients is basically a death sentence, especially with the Delta variant, we save very few.

    “At one point we had a doctor giving patients ivermectin because he was having such success in his outpatient clinic and they came through and the management of the Cleveland Clinic, the higher-ups, threatened to fire him if he continued to do so. He’s not confrontational, he just kind of goes along to get along. I will say, in his defense, that he will give it to the nurses if we get it.”

    “When the vaccines were first administered, you would not believe the number of strokes we got. The Cleveland Clinic is a stroke center and I had never seen anything like it. I had two patients with drains in their brain to relieve the pressure, which is rare, you don’t see that often. A lot of strokes – one who got MS – we had a bunch of different critically ill patients, and if you look at their medical records, they don’t attribute their death to the vaccine they just got – they don’t say it’s from the vaccine.”

    I do not believe we should take everything she says without question, but neither should we trust the government or the hospitals. We need an independent and unbiased study into the various treatments for the virus to see if what we are doing is indeed the best treatment. And if not, we need to use the most effective treatment prescribed by the researchers based on results and not on mandates.

    There has been extensive debate over the COVID vaccines ever since they were made available to the public. Despite projecting doubt, prior to stealing the 2020 Presidential Election, Joe Biden now wants to force every American to get “the jab”. This tyrannical abuse of American’s constitutional rights does not give the slightest consideration for natural immunity. Now, data is surfacing that the overall efficacy of the hastily approved COVID vaccines may not be as good as Biden professes it to be.
    A health security agency out of the United Kingdom has released some startling new data. The information shows how many COVID deaths have occurred recently in England. The most alarming part of these reports is the number of fully vaccinated who have died.

    This is completely contradictory to the Biden administration’s over exaggerated claims. Biden leans into the microphone and whispers how getting the shot will save you and your loved ones. Certainly, the vaccine has saved lives, but it’s clearly no longer a guarantee.Furthermore, as time goes by, it is becoming increasingly clear that a “COVID jab” may not be the best choice for everyone. Healthy people are reporting strong and robust recovery after catching the virus. Once you have had COVID, natural immunity is triggered.

    Many scientific studies are proving natural immunity to be multiple times more robust in fighting off breakthrough sickness. If natural immunity keeps you from getting sick, it goes without saying that you will not die. That is not the data that has surfaced over breakthrough cases for the vaccinated. In fact, the report from the UK Health Security Agency showed that there were more deaths from COVID within the vaccinated than within the unvaccinated. The data spanned a vast array of age groups and encompassed a wide timeframe. The percentage of deaths among the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated was five times as many. These numbers are both startling and perplexing.

    If everyone must get the COVID shot to save their lives, then why are more people dying of COVID who got the shot as opposed to those who didn’t? Another key part of the data involved the age group where most of the COVID deaths have occurred in England. Those people, vaccinated or unvaccinated, who were over 80-years-of-age, made up the vast majority of the COVID-related deaths. This virus has been and still is about the immune system compromised, especially among the very old.

    Other data released from the European Union database, shows even more concerns over the vaccine. There have been 30,551 reported fatalities from the COVID vaccine. In addition, well over a million people have reported having adverse reactions to one of the shots. As Joe Biden attempts to “ram a jab” in every American’s arm, including young children, the scientific evidence no longer supports such policy. Vaccinations are not necessary for everyone. They never have been. Mandates are wrong, but they also might kill someone.

    In an increasing number of situations, it may be worse to get the shot than to catch and recover from COVID. These decisions must be made on a personal level. The new data released out of the UK proves this to be true. No company, no government, no leader, nor anyone apart from the individual themselves should make a decision on whether to get the COVID vaccine. If someone dies after getting “the COVID jab”, who will be held accountable?

    If we want to truly “follow the science”, the science says vaccines are not for everyone. Truth be known, the vaccination may not save your life, but it may well kill you instead. As Joe Biden continues to push his tyrannical vaccine mandates, we can only hope truth wins.

    New York Times Admits More Coronavirus Deaths Under Joe Biden Despite Vaccines

    It was reported that more Americans have died from the Chinese coronavirus under President Joe Biden than last year despite widespread vaccine availability. Data was reported from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention showing that the U.S. had reported 386,233 coronavirus-related deaths in 2021. The U.S. had 385,343 deaths in 2020 and it is expected to increase.

    Experts explained that the fatalities were mainly focused on crucially lower than needed vaccination rates but also on the relaxation of precautions like social distancing and masks, as well as the rise of the highly contagious Delta variant. Public health experts stated that many Americans act as if Covid-19 is not a crisis and that the transition will occur eventually.

    Many are refusing to be vaccinated in sufficient numbers to make the transition to endemicity, which would mean that the virus would still circulate at a lower level. Only 59% of Americans have been fully vaccinated, which is the lowest level of vaccination among all seven Group countries. Blaming lower-than necessary vaccination rates is absurd since the vaccine is widely available throughout the year.

    The same cannot be said about 2020 when the world was only beginning to understand what the virus was. Vaccines were not readily available for all eligible people until 2018, despite Trump’s efforts to expedite vaccine production through Operation Warp Speed. It was reported that the increase in fatalities was due to “relaxation of everyday precautions”, which was one of the main incentives offered to Americans during the vaccine rollout. Many of them promised that vaccines would allow Americans to return to pre-pandemic normalcy, which proved to be false as many blue states and localities reintroduced restrictions.

    Florida is the only state that challenges the claim that lax mitigation measures contribute to the increase in fatalities and spread. Gov. Ron DeSantis was subject to constant scrutiny throughout the pandemic for prioritizing personal liberty and refusing to confine the state during the pandemic. Florida has the lowest per capita coronavirus rate in the country. The most recent Florida figures show a 5% decrease in cases over 14 days.

    States that have reinstituted mandates like Illinois aren’t faring so well. They report an average daily of 4,599 cases or 36 per capita. This is an increase of 73% over the same period. Similar trends are also being observed in other blue states like Pennsylvania, New York, and Michigan. Last year Biden blamed Trump for the deaths from coronavirus in the United States. Biden said that anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should be removed from office as President of the United States of America.

    Fauci hints that definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ could change to include boosters

    In the latest shifting of pandemic goalposts, Dr. Anthony Fauci declared over the weekend that while there are currently no concrete plans to adjust the official definition of “fully vaccinated” to encompass booster injections, such a change could occur if it is deemed warranted by emerging data, as Fox News reports.

    It was just last week that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized both Moderna and Pfizer’s vaccination boosters for every adult age 18 and older, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention made a new recommendation urging that age group to receive an additional shot six months after receiving their second of the two shots that were previously believed to suffice.

    While those developments on their own do not mean that a change in definition is inevitable, according to Fauci, such an adjustment could indeed be made if incoming data points in that direction.

    “We’re going to take a look right now at what the durability is of the booster,” Fauci said during an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, adding, “We’re going to follow people who get boosted.”

    Cautioning Americans not to be alarmed by that possibility, Fauci added, “People should not be put off by the fact that as time goes by and we learn more and more about the protection, we might modify the guidelines. That’s what we’ve been saying all along by follow the science, things change and you have to follow the data.”

    In a different weekend appearance, this time on ABC’s This Week, Fauci attempted to persuade the audience that a third shot is unlikely to wane in efficacy as the initial two shots did, a fact perhaps to assuage fears that endless booster shots will become the norm in battling COVID-19.

    “We would hope, and this is something that we’re looking at very carefully, that the third shot with the mRNA not only boosts you way up, but increases the durability so that you will not necessarily need it every six months or a year,” declared Fauci, though he added, “If it doesn’t, and the data shows we need to do it more often, then we’ll do it… .”

    Notably, in early October, Israel became the first nation in the world to change its internal rules to cease providing vaccination certifications to individuals whose second vaccine dose was received over six months prior, and those already holding the so-called “Green Pass” will face the expiration of the certificates that permit participation in a range of public activities if they do not accept a timely booster, as Haaretz reported.

    Countless Americans willingly rolled up their sleeves to receive shots they were assured would bring the pandemic to a controlled end, and now that there appears to be a strong chance that they were – at the very least – misled about the durability of the jabs, outrage and mistrust among the citizenry seems all but certain to grow.
