Watch the Police, Pow Pow

Public reaction to recent revelations at the Government Information School (GIS) – Pressure Mounts on Minister Wilfred Abrahams to Resign – continues to be a source of concern for Barbadians. All eyes now are on Minister Wilfred Abrahams and his newly installed Board presided over by Apostle Dr, Lucille Baird. It is the hope of the blogmaster a priority task of the Baird led Board will be to meet with outgoing Board members and in particular the former deputy Chair Marsha Hinds-Layne. Many Barbadians are of the view- and rightly so- Hinds should have been retained on the new Board if its selection was meant to be resident centric. It would have added needed credibility to the process Minister Abrahams is attempting to sell the public.

Let me give you an example. The mother of this alleged case is now my patient and I don’t divulge any confidential information here; we would have spoken. If you have a child that’s missing, which happened in this case, we all know . . . she was picked up for wandering . . . .

She got information on where her daughter was when she went missing [and] called the police station: ‘Excuse me, sir, I think I know where my daughter is’. She [is told] hold on a minute.

Mr Speaker, I wish I could give you the words, but my mother never taught me to curse . . . . He put the phone on the side and said, ‘This **#!!* woman on the phone talking ’bout some !!**%%@#$%^ missing girl’.

She stressed that police officers must do better in such matters. You really have to investigate, apart from the school, complaints that reach the police stations and the response of the police officers. Too many people are dying.

MP knocks police response to report (Nation Newspaper)

A sub story from the GIS affair that should be receiving equal attention is the matter highlighted by Member of Parliament Sonia Browne in a contribution to the House of Assembly last week. Key duties of any police force is to maintain public order and safety, enforce the law among other responsibilities. We cannot have members of the public turning to the police for assistance and it evokes such an insensitive response. The success of a police force is dependent on cultivating a good relationship with the public it is paid by and sworn to serve. The blogmaster wants to give the benefit of the doubt to the Barbados Police Force in this case but it is a challenge given what we know.

In the same way Minister Wilfred Abrahams was forced to face the music to placate an angry public, Attorney General Dale Marshall should be made to explain the behaviour by the policeman who handled the call from the juvenile’s mother reported by MP Sonia Browne.

The blogmaster has posted several blogs about the dysfunctional, moribund Police Complaints Authority (PCA) since its establishment by exposing the failure to deliver on its mandate. Successive governments have been unable to remedy the situation.

A growing lack of trust by the public in the police force is likely driven by the inability of the Attorney General and the PCA to encourage and process public complaints in a transparent and efficient manner. We MUST hold the police force accountable given its important role as guardians of the state. Our approach to reforming the system must be holistic to achieve service quality. If we do not many young people will be consumed and enarmoured by thug life with citizens continuimg to cry – arm the police pow pow.

  1. Our “contribution” to civilisation has always been dismissed as primitive in nature.”

the most basic of things to the most important treasures, writings, people, etc have been stolen from the Continent, called primitive and then turned into a more primitive weapon against Africans…most never knew they were stealing our ancestors shit all along, calling it their own and going so far as to CHARGE US FOR THEM for 400 years……..now that’s some goddamn nerve right there.

  2. We are very interested in HEARING ABOUT A LOT OF UPSCALE Black-OWNED restaurants etc as well as the food establishments in the depressed areas….yall are not putting the racist practices against the Black population on the police….ya are not getting away with pulling a cousin Boris..

“Daily since the restrictions were lifted, a number of restaurants across the island, including upscale establishments like La Cabane on Batts Rock Beach and the Animal Flower Cave Restaurant, in St Lucy, have been serving patrons in open-air facilities, a set-up that lessens the opportunity for the COVID-19 virus to spread. None of these has been asked by police to shut their operations.

  3. Children were snatched from their homes and shackled before being shipped abroad as slaves – they faced violence, terror and degradation every day and for some deaths

On the Gambian river in January 1773, slaves on board the New Britannia ship were battling for their freedom.

Children snatched from their African homeland had slipped tools to their shackled adult male counterparts who cut themselves free from their chains and stormed the vessel’s gun room.

After an hour-long battle with the crew, it became clear the slaves were losing their fight.

So in desperation they set fire to the ship’s gunpowder magazine, causing a massive explosion which killed all 222 captives and 13 slavers.

The everyday violence, terror and degradation on the New Britannia and a future life of slavery in the Americas meant death was preferable to living.

Doreen Lawrence says Boris Johnson’s race report ‘gives the green light to racists’mirror

Experts’ anger at being included in “odious” race report without their knowledge
On Wednesday, a government report by the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities featured a controversial foreword by its chairman Tony Sewell.

He said: “There is a new story about the Caribbean experience which speaks to the slave period not only being about profit and suffering but how culturally African people transformed themselves into a re-modelled African/Britain.” His remarks provoked a storm of criticism.

Halima Begum, boss of race equality think-tank the Runnymede Trust, said: “I’m flabbergasted to see the slave trade apparently redefined as ‘the Caribbean Experience’, as though it’s something Thomas Cook should be selling – a one-way shackled cruise to purgatory.”

Shadow Equalities minister Marsha de Cordova said the report “glorifies the slave trade” and urged the Government to disassociate itself from it.

Dr Sewell, a former teacher who was put in charge of the Commission by Boris Johnson last year after the Black Lives Matter movement, hit back.

He said: “The report merely says that, in the face of the inhumanity of slavery, African people preserved their humanity and culture.”

Around 12 million Africans were kidnapped and forced into the Atlantic slave trade between the 16th and 19th century. Up to two million of them died on the hellish journeys to European colonies in the Americas.

It was the largest forced migration in history. And Britain was at the centre.

Slavery brought vast wealth to our ports – notably London, Liverpool and Bristol. Between 1662 and 1807, colonial ships transported about 3.4 million Africans, with 2.9 million surviving the Middle Passage to be sold into captivity.

Only Portugal had a bigger Atlantic slave trade empire.”

  4. “Slavery is not a Caribbean story, it’s a British story,” said Jean Francois Manicom, lead curator of transatlantic slavery and legacies at the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool.

“The port of Liverpool was the door to the UK in terms of the slavery trade.

“Some of the slaves in the Caribbean were branded with the initials DoY – the Duke of York [the Governor of the Royal African Company, later James II].

“This type of brutal fact brings you directly to a global story, with Britain one of the leaders.”

There was a triangular trade route. Ships set off for Africa from Europe laden with goods to be traded for slaves. After a perilous journey across the Atlantic, surviving captives were sold for raw materials which were transported back to Europe.

  5. Why should the UK concern themselves with the history of the slave trade as practised in Barbados. Especially when the legacy of slavery as practised in Barbados has all been whitewashed out of existence on the island. Where are the cemeteries for the buried slaves? Where are the historical footprints of their presence on the island since the 17th century.

The evil British have already whitewashed out the history of slavery within the school system. It would seem that most people on the island remain indifferent to the history of their ancestors.

  6. “It would seem that most people on the island remain indifferent to the history of their ancestors.”

and that’s the whole problem, they won’t even get up and DEMAND from Mia how she could dig up holy soil or bones or whatever she dug up and dragged all across the continent to Ghana….and can’t so much as build a memorial to our enslaved and savagely raped and murdered ancestors…..but we can hear how many BILLIONS OF DOLLARS are missing from the economy..they won’t even stand up and demand of her where their money is, who stole it and demand that it be returned…

the people sat quietly and let evil black traitors for leaders, remove and whitewash the history, filled their minds with utter shit about a still active slave system like that is where their history began and ended and refused to allow an all African curriculi, so that when slavery is reintroduced as it can so easily now with no available jobs, they won’t even notice…

when we were telling them they cussed us out, or sent their fowl Slaves to do it, they are partly responsible for what happens next, just watch all the parliament traitors try to pin the blame on the people…but they should be imprisoned for their crimes, they too brought all this to the island.

  7. There is only ONE burial sight for our ancestors in this country that I know of. It is not even maintained properly or even known by the majority population. Who knows about where else our ancestors lie , probably on the ground you are standing on right now and you do not even know. Due to ignorance perpetrated by the system and influence from the West (some) Afro Barbadians consciously disrespect their ancestors every day , prefering to believe the lies and propaganda the program pushes and say the most outlandish things concerning Africa and their Africaness.

I remember a young man I met said he felt disconnected from Africa , he would go there as,a Bajan to visit and he said the issue with Africa was “it was too rich.” I was shocked at his response and our discussion revealed to me he was spiritually lost , hearing young people that are stuck in the program makes me shake my head especially the lack of knowledge about Africa and the country their ancestors were taken to. Fun fact: The Capital city was where our ancestors were sold , when I discovered that I felt nauseated and it explained why the energy felt “odd” whenever I walked through town. They kept the energy of slavery alive whist trying to erase any hint of it ever occurring here by giving it a makeover.

It is time for an overhaul of everything to become African again free from any reminents of colonialism..

  8. Wuh cousin Boris them will soon run and leave them with the system, if Black Bajans have the sense they were born with, they would run like hell in the opposite direction…..🤣🤣 just imagine how that would play out….i would buy a camera just for that event…lawd…

  9. Cosmo…they are getting information on how to reconnect, we can’t do anymore than that, and they are lucky this is available to them cause not one colonial parliament is providing them with any informaiton…they don’t want the populations to reconnect to their ancestral lineage..tells us their intent, but it’s up to us to let them get away with that….

one disrespectful one thinks she can send African people back to ancestrals lands as workers, she should check some of our bloodlines and know her goddamn place and show respect to her superiors….we are descended from the greatest Queens and Kings of this earth.

  10. This savage ruined the face of a very handsome child, racists are demons.

“Last fall, a white Michigan man was arrested after he allegedly approached a group of three Black teenagers at a state park, spewed racial epithets and struck one of the teenagers in the face with a bike lock.

According to the United States Department of Justice, Lee Mouat, 43, of Newport, pleaded guilty to a federal hate crime for attacking a Black teenager. He willfully caused bodily injury to a Black teenager because of the child’s race.

“Hate-fueled incidents like this one have no place in a civilized society,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela Karlan for the Civil Rights Division in a written statement. “The Justice Department is committed to using all the tools in our law enforcement arsenal to prosecute violent acts motivated by hate.”

Based on the plea agreement, Mouat approached a group of Black teenagers at a state park in Monroe. Mouat repeatedly used racial slurs and stated Black people had no right to use the public beach. Mouat then proceeded to strike one of the teens in the face with a bike lock, which resulted in knocking out several of the victim’s teeth, lacerating his face and mouth and fracturing his jaw. Mouat then made an attempt to hit another one of the Black teenagers with the bike lock.

“Our office is committed to protecting the rights of all citizens, and prosecuting hate crimes is a top priority,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Saima Mohsin for the Eastern District of Michigan. “The young victim, in this case, suffered tremendously from this vicious, racially motivated assault. Every individual citizen has the right to not live in fear of violence or attack based on the color of their skin.”

“Mouat’s hateful and violent conduct, motivated by racial intolerance, was intended to physically harm the victim as well as create fear within the African-American community,” said Special Agent in Charge Timothy Waters of the FBI’s Detroit Division. “The FBI and our law enforcement partners will continue to ensure that if a crime is motivated by bias, it will be investigated as a hate crime and the perpetrators will be held responsible for their actions. We encourage anyone who has been the victim of or witness to such a crime to report it to the FBI.”

A hearing has been scheduled for June 24, 2021, where Mouat will be sentenced. He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000.”

  11. My, my, my!

“The world has moved on,” said 555.

Well…. here I am watching an MSNBC investigative report called THE CHILDREN WHO PAY.

FOR PROFIT COMPANIES hired by the State to “rehabilitate and take care of” children who have developmental challenges, disadvantaged children, orphans, juvenile “delinquents”. AT RISK CHILDREN.

    FOR PROFIT COMPANIES!!!!!!

This particular documentary is about a company called SEQUEL which runs dozens of “homes” across America.

Beatings, sexual abuse, rape, unsanitary and extremely uncomfortable conditions, ISOLATION. No programmes or treatment. Unqualified staff.

An Oregon State Senator with a developmentally challenged child was shocked when she discovered what the State does to at risk children. She started to look into it.

She was appalled by what she found.

“SOMEBODY IS GOING TO DIE!” she warned.

Four months later a black male teen threw some food in the cafeteria. He was piled on and restrained by six adults. Common occurrence.

Cornelius Fredericks was piled on and restrained by the six adults for more than ten minutes. By the end of that time his body was limp. They left him on the floor. It took the nurse 12 minutes before she called the ambulance.

Cornelius Fredericks died from that restraint two days later.

And oops ….. here is somebody likening the facility to Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist!

I told you to do your research!

    “LAKESIDE ACADEMY INDEED!”

  12. “I remember a young man I met said he felt disconnected from Africa , he would go there as,a Bajan to visit and he said the issue with Africa was “it was too rich.””

social engineering, indoctrination, he feels more comfortable in a slave society facing hardships, it’s his comfort zone…

“revealed to me he was spiritually lost ,”

that was the intent, hijack spirituality by any means necessary over centuries, as long as the connection was lost it succeeded, that applies to literally tens of thousands..if they don’t reconnect themselves it’s gone forever. Many have no such problem because they always knew something was not quite right and refused the fraudulent indoctrination emanating from the parliament and the society at all cost, paid a price, but look who’s laughing now.

“The Capital city was where our ancestors were sold .”

right on the spot where they had that cursed nelson statute that the frauds are so proud about, were anyway, they had to take it right down….and tried being disrespectful to our ancestors with their little show…but that fell flat…

“it explained why the energy felt “odd” whenever I walked through town. They kept the energy of slavery alive whist trying to erase any hint of it ever occurring here by giving it a makeover.”

and the vote beggars went right along with it, don’t know how people can’t feel the evil energy in that area, i remember the slave gate that sat right opposite in the 60s….don’t know how many can’t feel and sense something very wrong out there, but master engineers knew their thing, am sure they’re even better now, more time to practice….and their descendants will be much better too..as long as the mentally weak are available and pliable. I can’t blame them, who don’t know to move out of the way, that’s on them…can’t save everyone, won’t even try….got my own family to look out for, especially those not yet born.

  13. Bitches can stop bitching

Waru learned about kemetic knowledge 6 months ago and is seeing Reality

Donna is slower reaching her understanding

  14. No…. Donna knew instinctively years ago! But not the finer details.

Over twenty years ago at some big up anniversary of the Anglican Church in the West Indies or something so, I was invited to perform a piece regarding our first mission to Africa. Some Duport guy led the mission. Never had heard him before. Did not have time for a heap of research. But…..

The piece I penned made the point that the missionaries went into “Darkest Africa” expecting to teach but found that they had much to learn.

Walked on stage with a blindfold on and ripped it off when the poor fools saw the light.

  15. So… this “bitch” will keep on “bitching”, lame dog!

No book research! Straight from the ancestors spiritual vibrations!

  17. “WE NEED MORE HEALERS – Actualizing the Self

By Keketso Motale- Sangoma (Healer & Diviner), iNyanga (Herbalist)

We need more healers who will beautifully tell their stories and have embraced themselves that they never feel the need to change themselves in order to be what other healers require of them to be, instead of the healers the universe and ancestors has created, embraced and love.

We need more healers who are light, love and grace, who treat their humanely wounds and flaws in a manner they are taught to treat those of others.

We need more healers who are whole, grounded and so very human, healers who don’t walk around hoping to identify and find someone they deem inferior so they trample on in order to feel superior.

We need more healers vested in their own healing, growth and evolution, healers who understand the flexible and ever-changing nature of their gifts and journeys.

Healers who are not afraid of being students, who open themselves up to those they deem spiritually young in honor of their centuries-old ancestors.

Healers ezange zakhulela amadlozi’azo (healers who never outgrew or became older than their ancestral guides).

Healers who have stopped seeking external altars to bow and submit before because they realise they are an entire shrine, a place where their ancestors rest.

Healers who understand that for every chapter of our journey there’s an assigned ancestor chosen and called to guide you through it.

We need more healers who live from gratitude, abundance and peace so we don’t see everyone who walks through our doors as an opportunity to make money but as an opportunity to heal and grow…

That generation of healers the ancestral councils have been waiting for: the renegades, anarchists and rebels those who are not afraid to challenge and fight the status quos, the norms and societal expectation of who we need to be.

The healers who are not afraid to sing and dance to the sound of their heartbeats, their soul song, the healers who didn’t need to initiate to be healers but healers who just needed to be to connect to ancestral wisdom buried deep in our DNA and ancient memories.

The healers who are not afraid to dream…healers who are not afraid to be inebriated by the ancient spirits and lose their inhibitions.

More than anything we need to be the healers who are not afraid to be honest to ourselves about who we are.

We need to be the healers we need when going through difficult and challenging times.

Lesedi Khanya!!! Camagwini Mathonga!!! Thokozani makhehla nezalukazi!! Emakhosini!!! Ndauwe!!!

Xeweni!!! Ancestral Light, love, healing and blessings.

And the god Tem shall cast them back at those who would fetter me with them, and cast them at him. 22. You don’t open a Kemetic thread, if you want to learn about Kemet you go to Kemetic teachers…there are available, what i post is mere intro, that most in Barbados have no clue existed and should start learning on their own, if they want to reconnect, it’s an individual choice.

No need to force anything, people have to start from scratch about info that was maliciously and deliberately hidden from Africans on the island, then criminalized so they’ll never find it..the platforms are available and all sources are easily found.

they can hide it no longer and everyone knows who their enemies are.

  27. “I really thought that sort of stuff was beneath you. Just admit that “the world has not moved on” and move on!”

are you bitching about the slave code trope being a non-starter for a legal argument against breaches of human rights specifically
as it was negative self defeating and part of the downward spiral in victimhood which is antithesis of empowerment against abuse
the issue proceeded along the human rights path anyway to clean up the crime
    clarity of thought is needed
    you are welcome

Really had to answer that one!

    Still no admission, I see.

I certainly do not see myself as a victim. Show me where I have ever demonstrated victimhood! I acknowledge the negative realities and I work to make them positive while simultaneously enjoying what is enjoyable about life.

  36. Read twice…it’s so long will have to post in stages.

“Dr. Frances Cress Welsing raises the question of the psycho-biological implications of melanin in the human body. She argues that melanin is a neurotransmitter, and, as such, has the ability to enhance human communication, development and functioning . She postulated that melanin is a “superior absorber of all energy” (p. 231), and suggests that it accounts for “soul” or connectedness. She related melanin to the “affirmation of life” in contrast with “evil” as the destruction of life (p. 233). Speaking directly and forcefully to her people, Dr. Welsing tells us that it is our role to confront and fight evil, and that to ignore evil is to participate in evil (p. 234). In her view, psychiatry needs to deal with the proliferation of “evil” in the world. Her analysis has spiritual implications. Her ideas demand the serious scientific study of melanin/melatonin (See T. Owens Moore, The Science of Melanin, 1995).

Melanin is a subject conventionally avoided by the mainstream white supremacist-controlled scientific hierarchy. They always avoid the subject publicly, often studying it intensely in hard to find places (see: the Journal of Pineal Research). No one wants to talk about melanin. The findings might imply that there is indeed a special role played by “Blackness” in Afrikan human functioning, especially since the first humans were, indeed, hued and quite Black. Whiteness, on the other hand, is caused by the absence of proper melanin functioning in a way that supercedes the perfunctory role that it plays in the “albino mutant” body. Whiteness is caused by the absence of melanin, the absence of “hue”, resulting, as it did, from a mutated adaptation to the conditions of the ice age. (see Cheikh Anta Diop, The Cultural Unity of Black Africa, 1989; Civilization or Barbarism, 1981; The African Origin of Civilization, 1974 , and Vulindlela I. Wobogo, Cold Wind From the North, 2011).

Dr. Welsing used her healing skills to address the “inferiorization of the Black child.” While there is a plethora of studies, articles and books addressing the poor and “negative” self-image of our children, almost none of them (with the exception of Bro. Amos Wilson) place this tragic circumstance in the context of the need to confront racism/white supremacy. Sister Frances was concerned with “enabling patients to neutralize the impact of white supremacy on their lives” (p.258). She told us that our “Black children can achieve a development of their Black genetic and constitutional potential second to none.” For Dr. Welsing the objective of healing and nurturing the potential of Black children is much more than getting better grades, or even admission into colleges, professional schools and “good jobs.”

She was concerned that the Black child become a Black warrior, capable of “destroying destruction” (Ayi Kwei Armah, Two Thousand Seasons). This can only happen if their parents are mature enough and have the “space” to train, support and love them. It is because of her vigilant Afrikan warrior posture and commitment that for over four decades, she advised us to have fewer children, later in life. We have misunderstood her meaning. She was concerned with preparation for parenting, in order to prepare our children (our people) for war. She is not trying to show us how to be “successful” within the confines of the white supremacist “social” order. She was preparing us to confront it and to neutralize its power over us, which is the necessary prelude to war. This was her work. This was her intent.”

  37. The Kemetic Movement is primarily an African American black power movement, Francis Cress Wellsing Isis Papers theories of colours is a must read for all black people*, although the white world has denounced it.
    (*) Blacks don’t read,
the intro is the most powerful bit of the book with her definition of racism
“Functional Definition Of Racism = White Supremacy = Apartheid: As a black behavioural scientist and practicing psychiatrist, my own functional definition of racism (white supremacy) is as follows: “Racism (white supremacy) is the local and global power system and dynamic, structure, maintained by persons who classify themselves as white, whether consciously or subconsciously determined; which consists of patterns of perception, logic, symbol formation, thought, speech, action, and emotional response, as conducted, simultaneously in all areas of people activity (economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex, and war); for the ultimate purpose of white genetic survival and to prevent white genetic annihilation on planet Earth – a planet upon which the vast and overwhelming majority of people are classified as non-white (black, brown, red and yellow) by white-skinned people, and all of the non-white people are genetically dominant (in terms of skin coloration) compared to the genetic recessive white-skinned people.”

  38. “a planet upon which the vast and overwhelming majority of people are classified as non-white (black, brown, red and yellow) by white-skinned people, and all of the non-white people are genetically dominant (in terms of skin coloration) compared to the genetic recessive white-skinned people.”

that’s where the problems begin, classifying and labeling and relabeling people to achieve a particular outcome is IDENTITY THEFT..

  39. You can let twisted devils define you or you can define yourself
colour is a pigment of the imagination

  40. This fear of white annihilation is flawed, many of us with African ancestry carry Euro bloodlines, therefore it will live on…and that’s combined with a genetic mutation occuring naturally in the African woman to replicate more caucasoid bloodlines.

In 1974, I experienced Dr. Frances Cress Welsing for the first time as she confronted William Shockley, the white supremacist, physicist, eugenicist, on Tony Brown’s Journal, a talk show on PBS. Watching Dr. Welsing shock Shockley as he, no doubt, had never been shocked before, was to have a lasting effect on me and many others, including Shockley himself. As I subsequently studied her and her work,”The Cress Theory of Color-Confrontation,” I came to realize that, “Confrontation” was, indeed, her forte, her strength, and her method of healing Afrikan people in preparation for war against those who would destroy us.

Dr. Welsing turned Shockley’s world upside down. She challenged his perception of himself. She took the ground from beneath him, robbing him of the confidence he had taken for granted. As a white person, he functioned in a system that had been constructed to convince him of his “superiority” and the inferiority of Afrikan/Black people. But Dr. Welsing snatched the rug out from under him by questioning the very things that he assumed. She sat facing him, brilliantly countering his arguments, showing them to be inept. She calmly considered his words, before coolly demolishing his assertions.

He had banked on the defensive posture which most of us took when told that our intelligence quotient was lower than that of white people. We sought so desperately to prove that we were “as smart as they.” We didn’t understand that we were thereby accepting the reality that they had imposed to prove the opposite. By defending ourselves within the context of their definition of reality, we had accepted it as true. We were allowing them to define the terms, putting them “in charge.” (We had not learned the most important axiom of cultural warfare; never let your enemy choose the game or make the rules. He will determine the rules to guarantee that he wins, even if you are the more skilled.)

The idea of the quantitative measurement of human intelligence should be obviously absurd, its cogency a figment of the white imagination. Rather than “defend” against a bogus claim, Dr. Welsing explained why his delusional behavior was necessary. She confronted his propositions head-on and dismantled them. She “flipped the script” and made him the object. His genetic inadequacy became the focus. His rather disjointed and feeble “arguments” were simply manifestations of his fear of genetic annihilation.”

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But you have to admit that the European man has demonstrated a far ‘greater’ intellect over that of the ‘modern’ African man.

How else do we explain the white man’s ability to convince an entire race of people that the god they ought to be worshipping is made in the white man’s own image?

White are the black man and woman going to grow up and awake from their puerile dreams?

Isn’t this the same brainwashing model used to depict their demi-god of a superhero in the form of Superman in the body of a white man?

Isn’t the ‘white’ Superman, like baby Jesus, an alien ‘being’ sent to Earth to fight evil and to save humankind?

Wasn’t the white ‘baby’ superman from Krypton- a planet a 1,000 light years away in some quadrant of the Milky Way- while the black man’s sweet baby Dedus who, just over 2,000 solar years ago, was sent to the same Earth by his father Yahweh who lives on Mount Olympus on the planet Jupiter.

The same way blacks can pretend to believe in a white-man created Jesus why can’t they also pretend to believe in a revised depiction of the same Jesus along with Santa Claus and Superman as black superheroes to reverse the ongoing brainwashing of their own black children?

  42. Ras Ta Fari Haile Selassie’s full title in office was “By the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Elect of God” was the last African King who said that Africa’s problem was due to it’s tribalism ism and schism

“Above all, we must avoid the pitfalls of tribalism. If we are divided among ourselves on tribal lines, we open our doors to foreign intervention and its potentially harmful consequences.”

  43. “But you have to admit that the European man has demonstrated a far ‘greater’ intellect over that of the ‘modern’ African man.”

Africans can be their own worse enemy, we see it every day in the Caribbean, so Africa is not immune…they don’t like to look at cold hard facts, look how long it took before many, but not all, started to understand the danger they are in….some still don’t and if you don’t watch them and keep ya distance, they will drag you right down with them….or sell you out, sounds familiar, right, pull you down and they escape….those are our most deadly enemies.

  44. Check this out …let’s see if the loca lisland copiers of the barbaric and negative to practice on Black populatons…copy this positive from UK….so far they have not even addressed self-sourcing or homegrown marijuana for the sick, terminal, disabled etc……smallminded and tunnel visioned.

From today, eligible patients in the UK will be able to apply for the UK’s new medical cannabis card – Cancard.
The Cancard aims to protect those using self-sourced illegal cannabis for medicinal purposes from arrest. It was devised by medical cannabis patient Carly Barton and a team of senior police, and more than 15,000 people have already provisionally signed up.

Any patient that has a health condition for which they could receive a private medical cannabis prescription, but may not necessarily be able to afford it, will be eligible for the card, and police forces across the country will receive a briefing pack from the National Police Chiefs Council.

Chair of the Conservative Drug Policy Reform Group, MP Crispin Blunt, said: “Despite the law change in November 2018 very few of the estimated 1.4 million people in the UK who consume cannabis for medical reasons have a prescription and thus face prosecution for treating their illness. This is a wretched situation both for patients who constantly fear a knock on the door from the police and for the police themselves who are in the unenviable position of having to arrest the sick.

“The Cancard initiative is a welcome step forward that provides necessary immediate relief and I look forward to even further progress to ensure this medicine is legally available to all who need it.”

Treating people as patients, not criminals
The card was devised by Barton, who is the first patient in the UK to receive a private medical cannabis prescription. She lives with chronic pain and seizure-like, dystonic episodes, and turned to the black market after she was no longer able to afford a private prescription. The card is the first initiative in the UK which gives police the tools and confidence to use their discretion for possession of an illegal substance, as well as the first to see a grassroots campaign collaborate on such a scale with law enforcement, health professionals, and policymakers.

Barton said: “We all know that cases, where patients have proved legitimate medicinal use, are unlikely to make it to court, and if they do these cases are consistently dropped. This is especially the case when a patient presents with a condition that is being privately prescribed for. There is currently no way of identifying these people before emotional distress has been caused and public resources have been wasted.

“There is an opportunity to provide something that changes this by way of providing a service that benefits both the patients and the police. Cancard should give patients peace of mind and police confidence in using their discretion before any stress has been caused to vulnerable people. Without a law change, we have national guidance and discretion with which to build a solution, both of which are huge parts of the design of Cancard. Having the police on board with the design and implementation of this has been essential to make this a plausible project.”

Any police officer that encounters a patient in possession of cannabis will be able to contact a policing helpline to help them verify the patient is genuine, and the card contains an RFID chip which officers will be able to scan to confirm patient ID. The card’s working group also extends to representatives from organisations such as the Police Federation, the National Police Chiefs Council, the Police Foundation, the Drug Expert Witness Board, the Superintendents Association, senior policing figures in organised crime, the Conservative Party Drug Reform Group, and GP networks.

GP, Dr Leon Barron, said: “Cancard ensures that these people do not have to suffer the additional burden of fear or anxiety of facing criminal charges for simply treating themselves with a medicine that they have found effective. Fortunately, there are now a growing number of GPs who are recognising the value of cannabis for therapeutic purposes and are supportive of their patients who choose this alternative treatment pathway.”

Martyn Underhill, Police and Crime Commissioner for Dorset, added: “More than a million patients in the UK qualify for a private cannabis prescription for a range of conditions, but sadly many of them cannot afford this and so could face criminalisation if they are found in possession of what to them is a vital medicine.

“The Cancard will provide them with assurance that their ill health will not lead to a criminal record, while it will also be a valuable tool to help frontline officers, saving them time by providing immediate verification of genuine medical patients and therefore giving them confidence to use their discretion.

“I want to praise Carly for her dedication and the collaborative work she has done with senior officers to get this important initiative off the ground.”

Conditions eligible for the Cancard include some of those falling under the categories of cancer, palliative care, gastrointestinal, pain, neurological, and psychiatric. “

Have you read her book. I read my copy about 30 years ago.
Chuck D from Public Enemy put it on his recommended read list for the Hip Hop nation, although many talk about her a black icon hardly any have read her book. They seem to prefer spending money on hip hop music and fashion instead.

  48. That’s always the problem in the west, many people of African extract don’t believe it’s important to read, then they suffer with lack of knowledge and have only themselves to blame…which is compounded by wicked power hungry go nowhere leaders who don’t want the masses educated beyond being ignorant voting yardfowls…as evidenced by the criminalizing of Africaness and Blackness in slave socieites like Barbados…those evil laws still exist with not one black face in the parliament inclined to remove them to reduce their corrupt-ness.

    Dr. Frances Welsing.. continued..

She “flipped the script” and made him the object. His genetic inadequacy became the focus. His rather disjointed and feeble “arguments” were simply manifestations of his fear of genetic annihilation.

Even more than all this, for us as Afrikans, it is her posture that calls us to her and inspires us to be unapologetically and forcefully, Afrikan. From that day, as she continued to disarm white supremacists by exposing their illness and their source of power, her confidence became our confidence, her resolve our resolve. She was brilliant for us, and so we are “brilliant.” She was courageous, and so we gain the courage to take on the enemy. She did not run from the enemies of our people. She calls them out! Bolekaja! “Come on down, let’s fight.”

I was trained as a Pan-Afrikanist by Nana John Henrik Clarke. I later developed as an Afrikan Nationalist in the tradition of The Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. I am now striving to be the best Afrikan Sovereignist-Race Vindicatonist that I can be, as taught by Dr. Anderson Thompson, Dr. Bobby Wright and Baba Djedi Shemsu (Dr. Jacob Carruthers). The combination of these race champions has influenced my style of combat and my commitment to teach Afrikan students to be unrelenting as warriors for their people. Dr. Welsing’s example adds to this composite of trainers. She stood on the solid ground of race pride, much as Marcus Garvey had done. She broke the rules of academic ambivalence, detachment and intentional fuzzy-headedness. Her theories and arguments issued from the dire needs of a people under siege – her people. She knew that we couldn’t afford to spend another 400 years in captivity, not another decade. But without an understanding of those who have colonized and enslaved us, that would be our fate — for in the minds of the enemy, their survival depends on our demise.

Our healing as a captive and exploited people lies in our ability to acknowledge our fear of the system that has been constructed to imprison us. Acknowledging that fear is the operating principle. Acknowledgement of the fear will take away its power. She knew that confronting our fear would enable us to confront the system itself.

Through confrontation we become confident and therefore powerful. Dr. Welsing went “toe to toe” with white supremacy. That was what she did. She was consistent, unrelenting and unyielding. Her work was the healing of her people, Black people. She spent her entire adult life committed to that work. She, like Nana Marcus Mosiah Garvey and Nana John Henrik Clarke, is a warrior-healer who has helped to heal our trammeled and battered psyche. She understood, as did Bobby Wright and Baba Amos Wilson, that in a white supremacist world order, all human experience is racial. Everything is political. All reality has racial significance. It is all about power.

These ideas are threatening to non-Afrikans and to their allies and apologists. But hers was the total warrior posture. To be comfortable in the maafa is cultural, racial and political insanity. Everything she did was in opposition to racism/white supremacy. And she brought home, in clear sharp terms, the significance of Black power. Dr. Welsing, along with others named here, was among the few who could carry the epithet of “Leader of the Race.” To truly lead us, one has to be courageous enough to speak always in the interest of Afrika even when it is unpopular and dangerous to do so. She has to have vision. So Dayi.”

  49. Reading Frances Cress Welsing is not so much about what she is saying but also how she has saying it and how she thinks it, she has a unique psychological and social analytical style that breakdowns various issues that can be adopted by yourself,
same goes with other others and their thinkings such as Noam Chomsky, Timothy Leary, Robert Anton Wilson and many more individuals with their autobiographies, you can become just like them in the way you think and view things

  50. MillerApril 7, 2021 8:05 AMBut you have to admit that the European man has demonstrated a far ‘greater’ intellect over that of the ‘modern’ African man.

I know that is tongue-in-cheek. At first read, I was shocked, but then read your context and understood the intent.

Indoctrination, brutality, divide and rule, controlling the media, all of these do determine who leads the global narrative. Even now, the far right (spearheaded by one man, Murdoch) controls the media in USA, UK and even has demonstrated contrived influence on social media.

What is needed is a breakout from mental parameters and thought process. Even nationals in the countries regarded as leaders, are conditioned, to be what and where they are, in society.

Yes, as WARU says, Africa has begun that breakout.

Family demands answers after death in police custody

    Brother ‘not suicidal’

    by MARIA BRADSHAW
    mariabradshaw @nationnews.com
THE FAMILY of 43-year-old Colin Greene is demanding answers from police about his death while in custody over the weekend.
His grieving sister, Andrea Miller, told the DAILY NATION yesterday she was dissatisfied with police reports which stated her brother hanged himself in a cell on Saturday around midnight. She said she had spoken to him on several occasions after he surrendered himself to police and he showed no signs of depression.
    Why would he?
“Why would my brother turn himself in and then kill himself?” she asked.
Police issued a report yesterday stating that Greene, who lived alone in Chalky Mount, St Andrew, was discovered unresponsive and hanging by the neck in a prisoner’s cell at Holetown Police Station, St James.
It said police from the Northern Division were investigating the unnatural death of a man whose unresponsive body was discovered hanging in the cell.
“The discovery was made by on-duty officers who were making their routine checks and interviews of suspects in custody who were kept in the cells . . . . On the officers’ initial discovery, checks for a sign of life were made and none was found, a medical doctor was immediately summoned and after his examination, he pronounced death.”
The report added that Greene first came into police custody on November 2.
“He was assessed by the Ministry of Health COVID-19 Unit and had tested positive and was being treated at an isolation centre. He was later released into police custody on November 13 and was transported to the Holetown Station. The immediate family of the deceased was informed. They visited the Holetown Police Station where they identified the body of Mr Greene.”
Fighting back tears, Miller, the one who identified the body, said her brother was involved in an altercation with another man some time on October 31.
“He heard that the police was looking for him so he went to his attorney and turned himself in,” she said.
“After that, he called and told me he had to go and get a COVID test. A police officer called me and told me that he was positive and he would be staying at Savannah Hotel and he needed clothes.
“On Friday he called me and told me he got another test and he would be coming out shortly. Then he called me from Hastings Police Station and said he was there and police from Central (Station) have to come and talk to him.”
It was after that telephone encounter that Miller said things got strange when she received a call informing her that her brother was hospitalised.
“A couple hours after I spoke to my brother at Hastings, someone called and told me that he was at the hospital with his heart getting an ECG [electrocardiogram] done.”
“I say at the hospital? He now come from testing negative and he at the hospital getting an ECG done? He never had no heart problems.”
To her dismay at 3:25 a.m on Sunday, a female inspector of police telephoned her and said she was coming to her home.
“She came and told me she has bad news, that my brother has committed suicide. She said he hanged himself with a shirt.”
Miller went to Holetown Police Station and upon seeing the body, she felt something was gravely wrong.
“From the time I get there and they opened the bag I see this thing
on his forehead. I don’t know if it was a cut, a stab, I don’t know what it is, but he had bandages on his forehead that I cannot get no answers at all about it, so I just want to get to the bottom of it.
    Running blood
“I ask where it come from. That time the blood running down his mouth and his chest. He had dressing on his hand so I could see he did go to the hospital.”
She added that she did not see “a single mark” around his neck.
Miller said the incident has left her entire family in shock, especially Greene’s elderly mother who was crying out for him after she was informed of his death.
“I just want to know why would he give up himself to commit suicide? I asked to see the shirt; they say they can’t show me it because it is evidence. I ask to see the cell; they say I can’t go in there. I ask them how he get the cut; them say they can’t tell me how he get it.
“This is not right to see that he turn in himself. He ain’t gine turn in himself to kill himself. No way. My brother had no problems with his head, no problems with his heart, no part of his body.”
She added that her brother had spent a short time in prison in the past. While he had no children, Miller said, his girlfriend had also interacted with him while he was in custody and reported there was nothing wrong with him.
Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley said yesterday the family had contacted him about Greene’s death and he had a battery of lawyers working on the case.
“I have decided to start the ball rolling asking for the names of all officers who were on duty that night. I have requested the station diary and medical journal. Furthermore, I am asking the Commissioner of Police to launch an immediate investigation into the matter,” said Lashley, adding he would also be calling for an independent investigation.
