Sen Rand Paul says that Americans will be shocked once they find out what Biden was doing in Ukraine. Just after Hunter Biden who was drummed out of the military for drug use, he received a contract with an energy company run by the Ukrainian government.
Paul was being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos when he made his statement. We also know that Biden threatened to withhold a one billion dollar loan guaranty unless they immediately fired the prosecutor investigating his son. We know this because Biden bragged about it.

PAUL: Well I think the American people will be shocked and dismayed to know that Joe Biden’s son was making $50,000 a month just a couple of months after he was dishonorably discharged from the military for drugs. $50,000 a month, I think most Americans will be dismayed that the president’s son was doing this while Joe Biden was actually lobbying to have this company, you know, go free of prosecution. My understanding, this was reported in the New York Times, Joe Biden was asking the prosecutor to lay off of the company that Hunter Biden was working for for $50,000 a month –

STEPHANOPOULOS: That’s not what – that’s not what was reported, in fact he was on an anti-corruption drive.

US INTELLIGENCE PAID $100,000 FOR MADE ON DIRT ON PRESIDENT TRUMP

A story that’s been swept under the rug and worth mentioning, is that American spies paid $100,000 in 2017 to what was described by The New York Times as a “shadowy Russian,” who promised to deliver stolen cyber weapons from the National Security Agency (NSA) along with allegedly compromising material on President Trump.
The Russian got 10 percent of a $1 million deal that was apparently supposed to include stolen National Security Agency (NSA) tools used for hacking and purported images of President Trump consorting with hookers in Moscow, US and European intelligence sources told the New York Times.
However, the “shadowy Russian” didn’t provide the National Security Agency (NSA) hacking tools after receiving the payment but instead provided made-up information about President Trump. American spies reportedly chased the Russian out of Western Europe and said he should not return.
The alleged compromising images of Trump from 2013 turned out to be a dodgy 15-second video clip of some man in a hotel room speaking to two women. The video had no sound or any evidence whatsoever the man in the footage was Donald Trump.
The lengths that the US intelligence went to acquire the ultimately bad source is laughable and desperate.
The US worked through an American businessman in Germany, to maintain deniability, and set up meetings in five-star Berlin hotels and tracked the Russian’s travels throughout Europe – including visits to his mistress in Vienna.
Moreover, even with those high-end tactics, the N.S.A. even used its official Twitter account to send coded messages to the Russian nearly a dozen times.
The Russian was apparently known to American and European officials for his ties to Russian intelligence and cybercriminals — two groups that are suspected in the theft of the N.S.A. and C.I.A. hacking tools.
But the Russian’s apparent eagerness to sell the Trump “kompromat” — a Russian term for information used to gain leverage over someone — to American spies raised many suspicions among officials that he was part of an operation to feed the information to United States intelligence agencies and pit them against Donald Trump to favor Hillary Clinton.
American intelligence officials said the cyber weapons had been built to break into the computer networks of Russia, China, and other rival powers. Instead, they ended up in the hands of a mysterious group that calls itself the Shadow Brokers.
Part of that effort, US officials said, appears to be trying to spread unsubstantiated reports about Trump’s dealings in Russia, including the purported video, whose existence president. Trump has repeatedly dismissed.
Nonetheless, American spies were not the only ones who had been dealing with the Russians. Cody Shearer, an American political operative with ties to the Democratic Party, had been crisscrossing Eastern Europe for over six months to secure the purported Trump kompromat from a different Russian, said people familiar with the efforts, speaking on the condition of anonymity to avoid damaging their relationship with him.

Former Senator Lieberman Praises Trump on Iran
Former Senator, presidential and vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman is giving Trump big praise for his moves on Iran.
Lieberman has identified two key moves that have really hurt the Iranian regime.
According to Fox Business:
Iran is suffering economically and politically thanks to two big actions taken by President Trump, former independent Sen. Joe Lieberman told FOX Business on Monday.
“[Trump] had the guts to take us out of a bad nuclear agreement with Iran — that’s the beginning — big change,” he told Maria Bartiromo. “Second he imposed sanctions on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps — also a big change and increased those sanctions.”
The U.S. Air Force on Friday said that it deployed B-52 bombers to the Middle East in response to an unspecified threat from Iran. This comes as the U.S. announced that it no longer plans to extend oil waivers to 8 countries that do business with Iran. In an op-ed for Fox News, Lieberman along with Mark Wallace made a case for Trump to toughen sanctions on Iran.
“Iran is hurting. So it has begun to threaten us and I appreciate very much that the president has basically said with action sending American military forces over to their region don’t think you’re going to strike at us and not have us strike back at you.”
Lieberman pointed out that the Iranians have two choices as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate. They can come to the table and negotiate a new nuclear deal with true denuclearization, or continue down that path that will end with the uprising of the Iranian people.

Attorney General Bill Barr has appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia investigation.
Reports are indicating that Durham has been investigating this for weeks. Durham is the U.S. Attorney from Connecticut and has conducted many high profile investigations including some for former Obama AG Eric Holder. This fact will make it hard for Democrats to disparage him, but it remains likely they will try.
According to Fox News:
Fox News reported on Monday that Attorney General Bill Barr had assigned John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, to conduct the inquiry into alleged misconduct and alleged improper government surveillance on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election, as well as whether Democrats were the ones who improperly colluded with foreign actors.
Durham, known as a “hard-charging, bulldog” prosecutor, according to a source, will focus on the period before Nov. 7, 2016—including the use and assignments of FBI informants, as well as alleged improper issuance of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants.
Barr first announced that he was reviewing the “conduct” of the FBI’s original Russia investigation during the summer of 2016 last month, following calls from Republicans, and President Trump, to investigate the origins of the probe.
“I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted in the summer of 2016,” Barr testified on April 9.
Barr assembled a team last month to investigate the questionable tactics used to open the investigation but it is still unclear if Durham was part of that original team.

The same month, after cautioning that passage of tax cuts would portend “Armageddon,” then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi explained that the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was “the worst bill in the history of the United States Congress.” Worse than the Fugitive Slave Act? Worse than congressional approval of the internment of Japanese Americans?
The tenor of left-wing cable news and punditry was predictably panic-stricken. After asserting that the cuts wouldn’t help create a single job, Bruce Bartlett told MSNBC that tax relief was “really akin to rape.” Kurt Eichenwald tweeted that “America died tonight.” “I’m a Depression historian,” read the headline on a Washington Post op-ed. “The GOP tax bill is straight out of 1929,” proclaimed the same writer. And so on.
In any event, the idea that the poor or middle class are being shaken down by the cuts was even more of a dishonest claim. As Chris Edwards of the Cato Institute has pointed out, the reform bill’s largest tax cuts went to the middle class.

Whenever you hear people bellowing about the wealthy benefiting most from across-the-board tax cuts, they always leave out the fact that the wealthy pay the vast ¬majority of income taxes: The top 20 percent of income earners paid over 95 percent of individual -income taxes in 2017, the top 10 percent paid 81 percent and the top 0.1 percent paid nearly a quarter of all federal income taxes.
Supply-side economics isn’t a panacea. We spend as if it doesn’t matter. Not all the underlying numbers are positive. There are thousands of economic unknowns that can’t be quantified or computed by economists, which is why the central planners and technocrats are almost always wrong.
And yes, when the recession ¬finally comes, as it always does, liberals will once again blame tax cuts and deregulation. But to be this wrong this often deserves recognition.

FBI illegally obtained 3 extensions on FISA warrant to spy on Carter Page

The investigation into the origination of the warrant filed under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) that was used to spy on 2016 Trump campaign staffer Carter Page is reportedly not going well for Democrats and the FBI.
According to legal expert Joe diGenova, the Justice Department’s Inspector General has already found that the extensions for the FISA warrant were obtained illegally — meaning that Robert Mueller’s team likely accepted evidence that was illegally obtained.
Now, it is just a matter of proving that the initial filing was also illegal, which could lead to big charges for several high-profile former and current DOJ officials.
When FBI Director Christopher Wray recently testified before Congress, he revealed that the Inspector General, the FBI, and the attorney general were collectively working on an investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe.
You could all but hear a collective gasp from Democrats when he said it.
And as it turns out, they apparently had very good reason to be concerned.
According to diGenova, “the DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz…we have learned has concluded that the final three FISA extensions were illegally obtained.”
He went on: “The only question now is whether or not the first FISA was illegally obtained.”
In terms of bad news, this weekend could not have gone worse for Democrats.
First, a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by a group called Citizens United led to the release of a memo described a meeting between the then-assistant deputy secretary of State and Christopher Steele in 2016.
During that meeting, Steele admitted that his client for the dossier wanted the information leaked before the presidential election.
To further add to the drama, FBI Director Wray changed the status of the document from unclassified to classified on April 25, 2019, apparently trying to keep the contents of the memo hidden.
On Sunday, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said he would be working hard this week to declassify documents that would further expose the deep state working against Trump post-election. Meanwhile, the Inspector General’s investigation is expected to be wrapped up no later than late June or early July.
If his report states what we think it will, Democrats will be reeling — and James Comey and Robert Mueller may just find themselves in front of a judge trying to wiggle their way out of a treason indictment.
Is there even an freaking little attempt … just a wee bit … to properly discern all the political BS of this FISA issue.

The judges who approve the FISA warrants are very shrewd and deeply experienced in these types affairs of national security.
If the docs were illegally (knowingly using false data) compiled then surely there will be a problem BUT this is NOT that.

Last night on the Laura Ingraham Angle, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General, John Yoo, noted that Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch signed off on most all the FISA warrants during Obama’s last couple years in office –
As somebody who’s worked on FISA applications, I can tell you how high it could go because under the FISA law itself the Attorney General has to approve the FISA application. So if the Steele dossier, which we now know was completely made up, was used as a basis for the FISA application, then you have somebody that was high up in the FBI that had to approve that. Somebody high up in the Justice Department had to approve that. Ultimately, the Attorney General [Loretta Lynch] has to approve that. Then a second thing we haven’t touched on yet is that appears that the FBI attempted to send undercover informants and agents to infiltrate the Trump campaign. There is a whole other set of laws that are called the Attorney General guidelines, which are supposed to only allow that in very, very rare circumstances. Therefore, I assume the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General and maybe FBI Director Comey all had to sit in on that decision and approve it…

A very disturbing fact about the wiretapping request of President Trump is that the FISA Court turned down President Obama’s Administration’s first request to wiretap President Trump that was evidently signed off on by Attorney General Lynch. With only two known applications denied out of 10,700 from 2009 through 2015, the fact that the Obama Administration’s application was denied by the FISA Court is very disturbing. The odds of this happening were 0.02%.
We now know that the FISA requests to spy on Carter Page were based on the discredited and Bogus Fake Trump Dossier created by Fusion GPS and that the Dossier’s origin was not reported to the court.
In March 2017 we reported that President Trump tweeted that former President Obama had petitioned a court [at least] twice in order to wiretap current President Trump when he was running for office.
In his first tweet, President Trump tweeted:

The FBI’s sworn story to a federal court about its asset, Christopher Steele, is fraying faster than a $5 souvenir T-shirt bought at a tourist trap.
Newly unearthed memos show a high-ranking government official who met with Steele in October 2016 determined some of the Donald Trump dirt that Steele was simultaneously digging up for the FBI and for Hillary Clinton’s campaign was inaccurate, and likely leaked to the media.
The concerns were flagged in a typed memo and in handwritten notes taken by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kathleen Kavalec on Oct. 11, 2016.
Her observations were recorded exactly 10 days before the FBI used Steele and his infamous dossier to justify securing a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page and the campaign’s contacts with Russia in search of a now debunked collusion theory.
It is important to note that the FBI swore on Oct. 21, 2016, to the FISA judges that Steele’s “reporting has been corroborated and used in criminal proceedings” and the FBI has determined him to be “reliable” and was “unaware of any derogatory information pertaining” to their informant, who simultaneously worked for Fusion GPS, the firm paid by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Clinton campaign to find Russian dirt on Trump.
That’s a pretty remarkable declaration in Footnote 5 on Page 15 of the FISA application, since Kavalec apparently needed just a single encounter with Steele at State to find one of his key claims about Trump-Russia collusion was blatantly false.
In her typed summary, Kavalec quoted Steele as saying, “Payments to those recruited are made out of the Russian Consulate in Miami,” according to a copy of her summary memo obtained under open records litigation by the conservative group Citizens United. Kavalec bluntly debunked that assertion in a bracketed comment: “It is important to note that there is no Russian consulate in Miami.”
Kavalec, two days later and well before the FISA warrant was issued, forwarded her typed summary to other government officials. The State Department has redacted the names and agencies of everyone she alerted. It is unlikely that her concerns failed to reach the FBI.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), a member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee said he had confirmed with U.S. officials that Kavalec’s memo was forwarded to the FBI in the Oct. 13, 2016, email.
“This once again shows officials at the FBI and (Department of Justice) DOJ were well aware the dossier was a lie — “The fact that Christopher Steele and his partisan research document were treated in any way seriously by our Intelligence Community leaders amounts to malpractice.”
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, released last month, dispelled all those wild theories while hardly mentioning Steele, except for a passing reference to his dossier being “unverified.” That’s significant, because the FISA request from October 2016 that rested heavily on Steele’s information was marked “verified application” before the FBI submitted it to the court.

According to Obama’s former top FBI lawyer, James Baker, James Comey could be in a bit of hot water if it turns out he misled the FISA court to obtain warrants to spy on the trump campaign, the Washington Examiner reports:
Former FBI General Counsel James Baker said on Monday he expects the Justice Department inspector general to find “mistakes” committed by the bureau in its handling of the Trump-Russia investigation.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz is examining the Justice Department’s and FBI’s compliance with legal requirements as well as policies and procedures in applications filed with the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court related to onetime Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Baker, who admitted last week the inspector general makes him “nervous,” said the government watchdog will probably find some errors.
“The inspector general is looking at everything we did,” Baker said on CNN. “If the IG usually finds mistakes that we made, so I expect him to find mistakes this time.”
Doesn’t look good for former FBI Director Comey. Perhaps his next book will be “Notes from Prison.”

Attorney General William Barr is working with top intelligence officials and a senior federal prosecutor on at least the third inquiry to date into the origins of the Mueller probe of President Donald Trump and Russian election meddling, a person familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
Barr has named U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John Durham to examine whether the FBI misstepped in seeking a special federal court warrant to conduct surveillance on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, said the person.
In addition, Barr is personally working with FBI Director Christopher Wray, CIA Director Gina Haspel and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to review intelligence gathering techniques used to investigate Trump’s 2016 campaign.
Amid a broad effort to discredit Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the FBI, Trump and his allies have accused law enforcement officials of “spying” on his campaign and called for an investigation into the origins of the Mueller probe, which started at the FBI in mid-2016.
A probe into the legality of the special warrant used to monitor Page is already under way by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, who is due to release his findings in coming weeks.
In 2017, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions assigned Utah’s top federal prosecutor John Huber to review a wide range of issues that Republicans had complained about, from how the FBI handled investigations related to Hillary Clinton, to questions about the origins of the Russia probe.
The person familiar with Barr’s review told Reuters that Huber had been awaiting the completion of Horowitz’s review. The person said it was unclear how much Huber had done to review the Page warrant. That portion of Huber’s assignment will be taken over by Durham, the person added.

Barr’s Investigation has Brennan and Comey Scrambling

It appears that the newly announced Barr investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation has two people scrambling to place blame on someone else.
Those two people are former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.
According to Fox News:
A high-level dispute over which senior government officials pushed the unverified Steele dossier amid efforts to surveil the Trump campaign has broken out into the open again, after it emerged that Attorney General William Barr appointed a U.S. attorney to examine the origins of the Russia investigation and determine if the FBI and DOJ’s actions were “lawful and appropriate.”
Sources familiar with the records told Fox News that a late-2016 email chain indicated then-FBI Director James Comey told bureau subordinates that then-CIA Director John Brennan insisted the dossier be included in the intelligence community assessment on Russian interference, known as the ICA.
Fox News was told that the email chain – not yet public — referred to the dossier as “crown material,” but it was not clear why this apparent code was used. On Tuesday night, former GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy said on Fox News’ “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that “Comey has a better argument than Brennan, based on what I’ve seen.”
“Former Director Brennan, along with former [Director of National Intelligence] James Clapper, are the ones who opposed James Comey’s recommendation that the Steele Dossier be included in the intelligence report,” the official said.
However, Senator Rand Paul has Tweeted in March that a “high-level” source told him Brennan was pushing the unverified Steele dossier as well.
The investigation is just getting started but it looks like the anti-Trumpers are getting nervous as to what Barr might find.

Former South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy offered up a tip Monday night for congressional investigators probing the Obama administration’s handling of the Trump-Russia investigation.
“So whoever’s investigating this, tell them to look for emails between Brennan and Comey in December 2016,” Gowdy said in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, referring to former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.
In the interview, Gowdy did not say whether he has knowledge of what is in any Brennan-Gowdy emails. But Gowdy also suggested that the FBI deemed Christopher Steele, the author of the infamous anti-Trump dossier, as a less-than-credible source.
Steele, a former British spy, served as a confidential human source for the FBI. He provided the FBI with parts of his dossier, which the FBI then used to obtain surveillance warrants against Carter Page.
“I think you’ll be surprised at whether or not they viewed Steele as being credible,” said Gowdy, who served on the House Intelligence Committee and is now a Fox News contributor.
Republicans have sought a slew of internal FBI documents related to Steele and the dossier. They’ve called on President Donald Trump to declassify portions of the fourth and final surveillance warrant against Page, as well as FBI interview notes with Bruce Ohr, the Justice Department official who served as Steele’s handler.

The Justice Department’s inspector general is reportedly investigating whether Steele was a reliable source.
