When the Mottley led BLP were in opposition, startling revelations by them suggested that the then DLP Stuart led government was corrupt, dishonest, and happily kept silent on important matters that should have engaged the public’s interest.

Mottley, agitated by the sequence of disturbing events unfolding under Stuart and his team, fought to have a moral basis established in Barbados politics. She pursued this basis by first tabling a move to have the then speaker of the house, Michael Carrington resign on grounds that his action in a money matter involving an elderly gentleman was unethical and immoral. So incensed was she, that several walking out of parliament became the protest action norm against this obvious condoning of inappropriate conduct.

She furthered her quest for moral politics by bringing the integrity of Freundel Stuart into the spot light. Stuart who wanted persons to believe that he was honest and upright, lied to the Barbadian people when he said he was unaware of the doings in the Cahill deal, when he had signed of on it many months before.

Fast forwarding to the Mia Amor Mottley who is now Prime Minister of Barbados, we are left to wonder what happened to that ethical and moral compass she brought to bear against Stuart and his DLP colleagues. A compass that many felt would be the change that Barbadians long for. Unfortunately, it was short lived.

For starters, there are serious accusations against two of Mottley ministers in the form of Payne and Marshall that have not once been addressed by her. If Carrington’s action was unethical, then any claims concerning inappropriateness by two ministers should have brought her moral compass to bear down on them.

Then there is the matter of her bloated cabinet versus those struggling civil servants sent home as the sacrificial few to keep the whole intact. Why only the bottom and not the top. Certainly this is ground to bring your ethical compass to forefront of things and show Barbadians that you everyone must make sacrifices including the top.

Then there is the tweaking of the constitution to accommodate two friends, but no investigations launch into the financial issues surrounding those of the Democratic Labour Party accused of corruption. Or. no quick move to have legislation put in place to deal with minister corruption, collusion, and wheel and deal.

The SSS has frequently stated that Mottley is a rogue and if she is to believed, otherwise, it certainly cannot be proven when she wants to bestow upon her father a knighthood that is not deserving at this time.

  2. “As I told the other loud mouth Waru ,you got evidence carry it to the DPP”

Actually any evidence of local govenment corruption that impacts the lives of citizens from US, UK, Canada etc..should be going directly to their police systems that handle such…eg…US FBI..

yall love to say carry evidence to a useless, backward DPP. in Barbados ..who was selected only for being a yardfowl of the THEN government of the day…in this case DLP…whom yall know will do absolutely nothing about criminal ministers and criminal senators, EVIL, TIEFING LAWYERS etc…….except to collect a free salary…for allowing corruption to continue…

but time is LONGER THAN TWINE…

    Donville will tell ya…

  3. And as for the minority SHITEHOUND..known as Lacking Commonsense….ya really need to decipher ya own posts to realize how absolutely foolish they sound…who the hell ya think ya TALKING AT.

.we are NOT..people who clean ya ilk’s filthy houses and yards…because these vulnerable people know no better and that is what both CORRUPT governments have assigned their own people to a LIFE OF…working for minority SHITEHOUNDS.

  4. Mill;er,

Put this in your pipe and smoke it! You do not decide what is important to me. I voted for a servant not a queen to put the interests of the people at the forefront of her mind.. I do not care if a doctor told him he had one week to live. Some people only have one week to live and nowhere to spend it. I worry more about them. She is paid to do that also. I am not.

    A foolish question:

If all these lawyers have done such a wonderful service to the Barbadian so-called justice system how come the people can’t get any justice bout here?????

All of you need to explain that. Where is the access to justice for the people? The system is a mess and the participants in the system are busy patting themselves on the back and awarding themselves titles.

Seems to me they did a wonderful service tor themselves and their families.

If you want to fool somebody I advise you to look for a fool.

    Stupse!

  5. for themselves

  6. Donna @ 8:15 a.m

    Shot Donna !!!

    Straight to the boundaries lol

  7. What does having the last word mean, apart from its literal meaning? Does it have a deeper cultural significance?

  8. “Where is the access to justice for the people? The system is a mess and the participants in the system are busy patting themselves on the back and awarding themselves titles”

time is longer than twine…ah just waiting for them…

  9. Hal Austin

Have you heard – there is another shooting death in Black Rock – Danesbury, Black Rock to be exact.

Meanwhile in the city (New Orleans) – another youth got shot and was taken to hospital.

    But don’t worry Mia Got this – and;

We are punching above our weight.

By the way though – are we still paying for a Minister of Home Affairs – who has responsibility for the Police,Defence force etc – why aren’t we hearing him as to what proactive measures he is considering – or he is too busy powdering the puff ?

How about the A.G. ‘smiley Marshall – he ain’t got nuttin to say now ?

When he was in opposition and was shadowing that ministry – he could not stop talking and offering nuff advice to the then A.G. Adriel Brathwaite.

Listen to the excuses that comes out from people like Ellis and Price on VOB – it is no longer a government problem – but it is the fault of Parents, and society ,and the fear of crime rather than the crime itself etc .

Any excuse so that the Mia govt don’t look bad.

  10. Artax,

We who have the people of Barbados as our agenda know that you are not a BLP yard fowl. You are balanced and fair and base your analysis on more facts than most people here do. I rely on your facts and figures to remind me of what I have forgotten and to draw things to my attention that I did not know. You are a treasure trove of information. I have seen you criticise the policies of both Dee and Bee. You may argue hard but I have seen you concede on certain points when an alternative view is posed that seems to make more sense. You do not seek to deny a person even the RIGHT to an opinion. That is quite unlike some people here who have NEVER CONCEDED ON A SINGLE POINT! And that is how one can identify them. The defense team. On EVERY topic. On EVERY point. On EVERY minute detail. One party is right. The other is wrong.

Now we all know that that there are no two people who think EXACTLY ALIKE IN ALL THINGS. The members of Cabinet we KNOW argue at meetings. But in the public space they all sing from the same hymn sheet. THAT IS THE WAY OF POLITICS IN BARBADOS. A RIDICULOUS CHARADE THAT FOOLS NO-ONE. We all know it but still they play on.

So….. those who are pursuing a political agenda, putting party ahead of country will present a united front. They purport to agree on EVERYTHING.

And by this we shall know them.

It’s quite easy really. That is if your intentions are pure.

Dear Dame Donna, continue to ‘fool’ thyself!

“Voted for a servant”, what! Plebs don’t vote for servants; they hire servants to make themselves look important. People vote for leaders; not followers or servants.

If you are so much against the whole archaically foolish social medallion award system why not argue for republican status for Barbados in 2019 where every man is a Sir and woman a Dame like you?

Then you would see how stupid Bajans and their politicians would look awarding knighthoods to their friends and family.

Don’t worry too much my dear, for one day coming very, very soon your wish will be granted; one continuing monarchical way or the other republican ‘knighthood’.

  12. T> Inniss,

The problem with our criminal justice system is largely the fallout from a small clique of people who, largely for no good reason, got it in their heads they are the ruling class of Barbados.
They know, along with the white community, that their offspring will unlikely have to go before the courts, farless go to prison, even when they shoot their children.
This being so, Dodds is for the working class and lumpen proletariat. But, as I have said, it a cultural thing which flows from Cave Hill.
Here are some examples of what passes as scholarship at Cave Hill: one so-called political scientist claiming that all forms of capitalism are the same; presumably this is what he teaches his young charges.
Another so-called political scientist advising the nation to abandon the Westminster model, but what that is she could not say. We have another that claims that the form of government we have in Barbados is a democratic Republic with a foreign Monarch.
And in today’s Nation another fool, in defence of his call to abandon the 11+ (nobody says what is wrong with it, another Bajan discursive feature), claims that Cyril Burt created the 11+, presumably as part of his racism against and Pakistanis. The 11+ was created in 1944,, and the nation of Pakistan did not come about until years later. How did we select kid to go to Harrison College, Queen’s College, etc before 1944?
@T. Inniss, we are a nation on the precipice of being wiped out. Only last week we had one of our keyboard warrior talking about culture suggesting that it is biological thing. He was trying to reprimand me, but when asked to be precise he vanished.
The church too has filed to give moral leadership; just look at the warfare they had over the appointment of a Bishop – and his first promise to his flock was to put the economy right.
I am still awaiting an objective analysis of BERT; I see the UWI is now going to have a debate about the policy, I hope they stream it.
Sadly, Barbados is a nation full of self-confidence, a nation which celebrates mediocrity as scholarship; in which punching above its weight is part of this self-delusion. It is all going to end in tears. Let us have a mature debate about BERT.
    Barbados is a failed state.

  13. It means that “I dun wid dat!” In some cases there is a connotation that the person’s argument is unworthy of further engagement.

  14. “Any excuse so that the Mia govt don’t look bad.”

which is PURE DELUSION..because the Mia government looks REALLY, REALLY BAD..in Barbados and in the FOUR CORNERS of the EARTH……to ignore it OR PRETEND it is not so…. is to be living many, many degrees REMOVED FROM REALITY.

From they perpetrated a COVER UP of corruption…..after claiming they got EVIDENCE OF DLP CORRUPTION

REFUSED to seek JUSTICE for the taxpayers and pensioners ROBBED by DLP crooks and business thieves….OR RETRIEVE the stolen millions..

REFUSED to adequately address the CORRUPT SUPEME COURT…or those lawyers who have made it corrupt for DECADES…..everyone knows that…when ya Supreme Court remains corrupt to FINANCIALLY benefit lawyers, judges and government ministers…..it is NOT a GOOD government…

Mia is fooling no one…particularly the wider world …she can’t even fool the people of St. John..DLP did that for 60 years so the people will make sure….there can be no repeats.

…..the people PAID TO LEARN ……literally….how the DEMONS in parliament operate AGAINST THE PEOPLE who elected them BEST INTERESTS……

  15. A leader should always be a servant of the people. That simply means that he/she leads the people in the way that will be beneficial to them. That is true service. It does not mean that a leader just follows the foolish dictates of the people. It means that he/she convinces them to follow the way that will be beneficial to them in the long run. A leader gets the people on board. He/she does not leave them behind.

I am not fooled by this system I know that these people do not see themselves as servants. And as a rebel I am always in favour of doing away with the queen. In the 1950 s my mother was beaten at primary school for not singing “God save the Queen.” My fisherman grandfather went up to the school and threatened violence if they made that mistake again. They did not dare! I dropped out of the guides at age eleven because the pledge stuck in my throat. Do you really think I care about shitehoods?????

I am ready for the revolution. Have been for a long time.

But violence breeds violence and so we eschew violence. Peaceful revolution takes longer to achieve but it is also more sustainable.

    All in good time.

  16. “Only last week we had one of our keyboard warrior talking about culture suggesting that it is biological thing.”

    @ Hal Austin

You’re being disingenuous, dishonest and economical with the truth.

The poster never said culture was a biological thing. He/she said cultural traits are inherited. You were the one who asked if culture was biological. The person told you to Google it.

I also remember you arguing with Georgie Porgie that the brain is a muscle. Does that not make you a keyboard warrior too?

This is what you do, twist things to convince yourself you are more intelligent than anyone else.

Austin, Bush Tea always say you are an idiot, which I don’t entirely agree with. But I’ll agree that you’re dishonest.

  17. “He was trying to reprimand me, but when asked to be precise he vanished.”

    @ Hal Austin

Once again you are telling lies.

You did not ask the person to be precise. You asked if culture was biological and the person told you to Google it.

    Why are you so dishonest?

  18. Another foolish question –

    What is “organised disinformation?”

Does it mean expressing the opinion that the Prime Minister gave her father a shitehood with indecent haste? Is it expressing the opinion that it shows her attitude or priorities? Is it expressing an opinion that she should focus more on the NEEDS of the people rather than the DESIRES of her father?

That is my opinion. I am entitled to it. As a voter my opinion should be respected even by Mia. I KNOW she KNOWS it is a valid opinion. I’m SURE she was taught that one does not clap for oneself.

Try taking me to court for that.

  19. I wonder what counts as disorganised information????????

    Correction – one’s self.

  20. @Robert Goren,

It appear s as if you have learned English as a foreign language. You contradict yourself. In your haste to attack you failed to read what I said.
I did not say the poster said culture was biological. I asked if it was since there was an assumption (by me from his definition) that it was. He did not reply. Googling is not an answer, since it cannot explain the context in which the author meant the term. That, for simplicity, is called asking for clarity or precision. I also notice you shift the discussion to a previous one.
We can play this game all day, but I am not a teacher.
By the way, as you have taken up the cudgel, is culture biological in your view? Or is it dishonest to ask that question?

  21. @ Hal Austin

    Again you are being dishonest.

You wrote “Only last week we had one of our keyboard warrior talking about culture suggesting that it is biological thing.”

Those are your words, not mine. You said the person was talking about culture and suggested it was biological.

Where in that sentence denotes you made an assumption?

Now you are trying to twist your way out.

Dishonesty. You really believe you’re intelligent, but you are a bluffer.

  22. @ Vincent Codrington

I suspect your “like” sign is worn out. You does like every shite.

  23. @Robert Goren,

You are in such a hurray to call me dishonest that you confuse yourself. What is the meaning in conventional English of the word suggest? The assumption was mine (look at the words in the brackets), that was why I sought clarity by asking the author what he meant ie the unanswered question about culture. I did not want to assume the operation of his mind.
I am out of this discussion, it is not getting anywhere. Your understanding of the English language appears basic. First, I have never claimed to be intelligent and plse say what I have been bluffing about.

  24. I have realized something here on BU,probably a little late.Whenever a subject is raised, especially in relation to this Government ,first out of the blocks is the corruption queen Waru, who then goes on to hog the blog with almost half the contributions, she is quickly followed by the disgruntled Dems T Inniss,Mariposa and Donna, and they also continue to follow each other with multiple posts, contributing between them around 30%,following them you then have Gazzerts, the shite theorists Piececontributing a few following up.Therefore if you analyse this carefully this seems to be anorchestrated tag team effort on their part to hog the show everyday hoping they can convince sensible Bajans that they do not have an agreed agenda to try to destabilize a democratically elected Government.I believe that most rational Bajans are quite prepared to give this 7 month old Government time to retify the many problems we face, and not rush to judgement like these angry minority who in my view would have to be brainless to expect a 7 month old Government to erase all the problems in such a short space of time, therefore they can continue to bellyache everyday, most persons got their agenda covered.

  25. “I asked if it was since there was an assumption (by me from his definition) that it was.”

    @ Hal Austin

You are an old man and your memory seems to be going.

Yes, I agree that to suggest something could also imply an assumption.

But you’re the one who is confusing yourself. It’s common in old age.

First you said “Only last week we had one of our keyboard warrior talking about culture suggesting that it is biological thing.”

The keyboard warrior talked about culture and suggested it was biological.

Where in that sentence implies you made the assumption?

And then you said you never said the person said culture was biological, you said “I asked if it was since there was an assumption (by me from his definition) that it was.”

There was an assumption by you , from his definition, that he meant culture was biological.

I may have learnt English as a foreign language, but I know when someone is being deceitful.

By the way, the person said cultural traits, not culture.

This is what you do best. You write generalised nonsense that is always opened to interpretation, so if you’re challenged, you could manipulate the words and twist the argument in your favour and then say people are silly, learn by rote or they don’t understand the English language.

You are a dishonest old man.

    Pure dishonesty.

  26. @ Lorenzo

    I don’t agree

  27. Stupse!

Your problem is that a yardfowl cannot fly beyond the barnyard. There are other birds out there that are not so confined.

  28. @ Lorenzo

I don’t agree with you entirely, but i agree that WARU contributes to every issue with the same comments and if there are 100 comments you can guaranty at least 70 are hers with the same thieves, minorities, lawyers, politicians etc nonsense like a stuck record. She is the first and last person to post to BU.

If you dare disagree with her, expect to be thoroughly cussed.

I’ll await my cussing from her. She can’t resist.

  29. “first out of the blocks is the corruption queen Waru, who then goes on to hog the blog with almost half the contributions,”

Has it yet occurred to you that if the government CORRUPTION IS CLEANED UP…instead of COVERED UP…

If the supreme court is FIXED…instead of waiting for everyone to FORGET so that the same old, despicable, decrepit lawyers, judges and government ministers…can continue their bribery corruption…..

If JUSTICE IS SERVED …for pensioners and taxpayers…instead of the AG and Mia LYING AND PRETENDING they CANNOT. do anything about it…now that they have been elected…trying to BAMBOOZLE the electorate..

THAT I WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO BLOG ABOUT…on this subject…

BTW…what does she plan to do about Leslie Haynes in his nest at the NIS Pension and Peter Harris/CGI Insurance and all the personal injury cases they both got chock a bloc and backlogged…..IN THE SUPREME COURT that has RENDERED THE TRANSPORT BOARD WITH NO EQUITY….because they are both waiting for ALL the personal injury claimants to DIE OUT…so compensation will not be paid…

….yall keep GIVING ME ALL TYPES OF AMMUNITION..to blog with..then ya got the goddamn NERVE TO COMPLAIN..

  30. Hear ye, hear ye!

The Dems are dead and I helped to kill them!

My funeral clothes are back from the cleaners ready for the burial.

I will not vote for dead people. And I don’t believe in duppies!

Depeiza is a zombie and I don’t vote for them either.

I voted Bee but that does not mean I have to shut up and let them drive. That is how we got in this mess in the first place.

This is the people’s government and I Is people too.

  31. “I’ll await my cussing from her. She can’t resist.”

I don’t cuss my post counters..seeing as I give you employment since ya got nothing better to do..

been on BU for years and never counted another commenter’s posts…that says it all..ya got way too much time on ya hands…

  32. Donna….ah have no clue what these think this is…are they serious..and blind and dumb too..

    Can’t they see?????

  33. I guess that barnyard does not even have a duck to show them how to fly high.

  34. “that says it all..ya got way too much time on ya hands…”

I agree. When anyone can’t wait to get out of bed at 5am to spend the entire day posting the same shite to BU, until 2am the next morning and to repeat this on a daily basis, they really got way too much time on their hands.

  35. Too bad you stalking me is not NEARLY as FULFILLING..

  36. “I guess that barnyard does not even have a duck to show them how to fly high.”

    YEP……pretty much.

  37. “got chock a bloc and backlogged…..IN THE SUPREME COURT that has RENDERED THE TRANSPORT BOARD WITH NO EQUITY….because they are both waiting for ALL the personal injury claimants to DIE OUT…so compensation will not be paid…”

Do you know you know what equity means?

  38. Why is it these BLP operatives on this site feel they have the right to question other bloggers intelligence ?

They always want to pick apart bloggers contributions to every minute detail – yet their contribution is riddled with alternative facts and generally their posts are uninteresting and uninformative.

Speaks to some sort of personality issues.

  39. They have the “chicken pox.”

  40. What happen T Inniss your tag team plan been exposed for all on BU to see?Your posts are very predictable and uninspiring to say the least not worty of any response, unlike the the female cussbird brigade and the shite conspiracy theorist.therefore most people ignore you as a johnny come lately who now arrive in Barbados post May 24th.However let it be known anytime you come with lies on this blog you or any of the tag team brigade will be exposed, and like Sandi said you could like it or lump it.

  41. “Do you know you know what equity means?”

are you planning to sell transport board…and that includes the routes..
