Barbadians have a strong interest in what unravels in the United States. We may debate why this is the case- an abundance of US news feeds streaming into our homes via FLOW, DIGICEL and Internet devices 24b hours a day, family members living in the USA, we travel there to further our studies and on recreation the list is long.

The BU household also has a keen interest in the outcome of the midterms later tonight, it will be a referendum on Trump’s tenure for sure.

    Mainstream Media’s Worst Nightmare: Black Trump Supporters

    In the ideal leftist world, the only people who support Donald Trump and the GOP are old, white, men. This view makes it incredibly easy for the mainstream media to paint the entire Republican base of voters as racists and sexists interested only in preserving white power and the patriarchy.

    Of course, the reality of the Republican base’s diversity is quite different from this leftist fantasy, and those in the mainstream media can grow quite angry when forced to face this reality.

    First of all, let’s consider the incredible fact that Donald Trump has more support from African American voters than any other Republican President or even Republican Presidential nominee in decades. In spite of the fact that the media declares Trump to be the most racist President ever to take the oath of office, he still draws an amazing amount of support from black voters. That in and of itself should be more than enough to give those in the media pause about whether their baseless claims that Donald Trump is a racist really hold any water.

    It’s easy enough for those in the media to ignore the polls showing Trump enjoys a large degree of support from black voters, though. However, it’s much more difficult when a prominent African American uses his or her platform to voice support for Donald Trump. When this happens, it really drives those on the left and those in the liberal media crazy.

    Take, for instance, Kanye West, the world-famous African American rapper who has put his reputation on the line to voice his support for Donald Trump. And what was the media’s response to Kanye West deciding to support a candidate that aligns with his views and values rather than blindly supporting the party that the left has decided people of his race should support? They attacked him with an astounding level of hatred and vitriol, even going as far as to say time and time again on mainstream outlets such as MSNBC and CNN that the reason Kanye West is supporting Trump is that he suffers from mental problems.

    Other prominent African Americans who support Trump and the GOP haven’t fared much better. Candace Owens, Dr. Ben Carson, Diamond and Silk, and several others have all witnessed an unprecedented level of hatred and attacks in the mainstream media due to the fact that they are black Republicans.

    It isn’t so much that those on the left hate black voters who support Trump; it’s the fact that they hate how the existence of these voters challenges their very worldview. The leftist media has come to despise Donald Trump so much that they have convinced themselves that he is, in fact, a terrible, racist monster, the likes of which the world has never seen before. Such a terrible, racist monster couldn’t possibly have any support in the black community, and so when people like Kanye West and Candace Owens come out in support of Trump, it challenges the very core of their beliefs about the President.

    It also challenges the left’s broader view of identity politics in which all minorities are supposed to automatically support the Democratic Party. This type of identity politics has worked well for Democrats in the past, enabling them to rely on the minority vote in spite of the fact that they have done nothing to help minorities any time they’ve been in power.

    Rather than actually having to provide solutions to minorities – which is much more difficult than simply playing identity politics – all the left has to do is continue fostering an “us versus them” mentality and convince minority voters that the GOP is racist and out to get them.

    However, when Donald Trump draws historic support from the black community and prominent African Americans get behind him, it threatens the effectiveness of this strategy. It’s the left’s worst nightmare – the death of identity politics.

    At its core, the entire manner in which black Trump supporters have been treated in the media is incredibly racist. Whether they say it or not, those on the left support a narrative that says black voters should not be able to think for themselves. Instead, they should do what they’re told and continue voting Democrat.

    As more and more African Americans are starting to say no to this racist ideology, we could be witnessing the beginning of a new era in American politics – one where voters are finally able to vote their views and beliefs rather than being automatically divided along racial lines.

    Top 3 Lies Surrounding the Illegal Caravan

    The migrant caravan is still marching on towards the U.S. border. It has been downplayed more than any threat in recent memory (except maybe when Obama called ISIS the JV team). In reality, this is the biggest caravan to ever make the trek, and it is big enough and populated by enough people that we can reasonably call it an invasion force.

    That won’t stop the media from being the most ridiculous version of themselves. In fact, we’re going to look at their three biggest lies on the topic.

    The Caravan is Harmless

    The biggest lie from the left is that the caravan is exclusively populated by innocent mothers and daughters who are fleeing abusive relationships, persecution and just trying to survive. Their only intent is to claim asylum and escape the violence in their homes. That claim is absolutely, 100-percent true — at least, if you cherry pick a handful of families in the caravan.

    The truth is that a high percentage of the invaders are single males in their 20’s and 30’s. They’re economic refugees, not political asylum seekers.

    These are important distinctions. No logical person thinks that every member of the caravan is a direct threat to American security. There absolutely will be some legitimate cases for asylum in the mix. The lie is that it’s the bulk of the population. It isn’t, and that’s further demonstrated by the fact that over 90 percent of them refused to file for asylum in Mexico.

    That’s an important step in international law. You have to apply for asylum at every border, and, once processed, you may then have the potential to try and move your asylum to another country. That’s clearly not what’s happening here.

    Illegal Immigration is Good for the US

    This is mostly based on crime statistics, and it’s so transparent it might make you sick. The argument is that violent crime has dropped since the 90s. In that same time frame, illegal immigration has risen. Therefore, illegal immigration reduces violent crime.

    They double down on this by pointing out that immigrants are one of the most law-abiding groups of people in the country. Did you catch the language game there? They dropped any mention of documentation.

    Here’s how it really breaks down. Legal immigrants are extremely law abiding. It’s why the right has no problem with them and openly embraces them. Illegal immigrants are another story. If we completely ignore all versions of immigration crime (which is a big deal), then we find that non-citizens are responsible for 21 percent of federal crimes in this country. This includes monetary crimes like money laundering, drug crimes and violent crimes. At the same time, non-citizens make up about 13 percent of the population. As Black Lives Matters activists might point out, that’s very disproportionate.

    The biggest issue is that over 90 percent of those crimes you just read are committed by illegal aliens. The idea that someone who will utterly disregard our laws to invade our country will then suddenly have perfect respect for law and order once they get here is ridiculous, and we all know it.

    Here’s the real kicker, though. Every single crime committed by an illegal alien is 100-percent preventable. We should never tolerate it. At all.

    George Soros Isn’t Involved

    This might not be their biggest lie, but they’ve put extraordinary effort into it. Left-wing media has gone to every effort to ridicule the “conspiracy theory” that Soros is involved with the caravan. They look to extremists who claim that the migrants are paid actors. Now, that’s obviously stupid, but it doesn’t mean Soros’s hands are clean in all of this.

    In fact, One News Now did some real investigative journalism, and they were able to tie the Open Society Foundations to three separate aid groups that are supplying the caravan with money and legal advice. For those who don’t know, Soros founded the Open Society Foundations and he is the group’s top contributor. There’s no denying the link. He has directly funded caravan efforts. You won’t find that admission on the tongue of a single Democrat in the country.

    Here’s the thing. Whether Democrats like it or not, we do have immigration laws, and it is the sworn duty of every member of our government to uphold those laws. Even the newly elected Representatives like Crazy Eyes Cortez have a solemn duty to protect our borders. They won’t, and they hate rule of law in general, but that’s still the deal.

    When they do violate federal law, it will be up to us to be the voice of reason and demand justice. In the meantime, we should be grateful that at least our President takes the threat of border security seriously.

    The Democrats wanted you to think they “believe all survivors” during Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearings.

    But when one of their own candidates was accused of physically or sexually assaulting a woman—or underage girl—they turned a blind eye to their shocking allegations.

    The Democrats elected at least four separate candidates who face accusations of abusing women on Tuesday.

    Keith Ellison, D-Minnesota.

    Rep. Ellison’s ex-girlfriend, Karen Monahan, came forward in late August with shocking revelations that the years she lived with the Democrat congressman were pure, abusive hell.

    She recorded a cell phone video of Ellison dragging her off a bed by her feet and screaming foul language at her in 2016.

    She produced medical records from November 2017, showing that she endured “emotional and physical abuse from a partner”—and names “congressman Ellison” as the culprit!

    Minnesota Public Radio News also read more than 100 texts between the two and said some had a nasty, threatening tone.

    How did other Democrats treat Monahan? Like a stone-cold liar.

    The chairman of the state party, Ken Martin, said outright, “I don’t believe her.” So much for, “Believe all women!”

    The state party hired a lawyer to fake-up a report calling Monahan’s claims “unsubstantiated.”

    Senator Bernie Sanders flew in to campaign for Ellison.

    Ellison, the first Muslim congressman, won his race for state Attorney General on Tuesday night.

    He’ll now be in charge of prosecuting all crimes statewide, including domestic abuse.

    Tony Cárdenas, D-California.

    Ultra-liberal Congressman Tony Cárdenas faces ugly allegations that he drugged and fondled a girl in 2007—when she was only 16 years old!

    The rising golf pro said the “pro-feminist” congressman took her to a golf event, then handed her a drink that “tasted distinctly different from both tap and filtered water.”

    When she passed out, he groped her breasts and genitals, she said.

    These weren’t just empty words. An L.A. County Superior Court judge ruled that the allegations had “a reasonable and meritorious basis” to go forward.

    How did the Democratic Party react? The local chapter, the Los Angeles Democratic Party, endorsed Cárdenas for re-election.

    “The powers that be are shuffling it away,” said one local leader.

    But Cárdenas cruised to re-election, winning 67% of the primary vote just weeks later, then crushing Republican Benito Bernal with 79% of the vote on Tuesday.

    Bob Menendez, D-New Jersey

    The scandal-plagued Senator from New Jersey has been denying allegations that he slept with underage hookers since 2012… but prosecutors don’t believe him.

    Menendez allegedly took a massive bribe with numbers as high as $105 million… to help out a friend, Dr. Salomon Melgen.

    But the senator also helped himself to underage girls, the feds say.

    Federal prosecutors said they had “specific, corroborated allegations that defendants Menendez and Melgen had sex with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.”

    A pilot who flew Melgen said he personally saw “young girls” who “look like escorts.”

    Menendez’s spokesman, Steven Sandberg, called the prosecutors — and the women — liars.

    Investigators say that Menendez’s denials are “demonstrably false”— that he’s a child molester.

    But Senator Chuck Schumer didn’t “believe” these women — sorry, believe these girls. His Senate Majority PAC poured $6 million into powering Menendez to re-election.

    Bobby Scott, D-Virginia

    The Virginia Democrat engaged in classic sexual harassment and destroyed the career of a woman who refused to sleep with him, according to a former staffer.

    Reese Everson was a congressional intern when she said the congressman touched her inappropriately, took her on a trip to California, and told her she shouldn’t “be good” if she wanted to get ahead.

    Everson said the powerful Democrat crushed her future dreams because she wouldn’t go to bed with him.

    “I was blackballed or blacklisted,” she said. “I was prevented from moving forward in my career because I attempted to run from a situation that was sexually inappropriate, where I had been propositioned to have a sexual relationship with my boss that I did not want.”

    Scott looked into the cameras and called her a liar.

    “I am confident that this false allegation will be seen for what it is,” Scott said.

    Not only did the Democrats back him for re-election—he’s in line to be chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee!

    “I look forward to working with you to advance our goals as we enter the Majority,” Scott wrote in a letter to his fellow House Democrats.

    The Democratic party, and members of the #MeToo movement, look forward to working with these accused abusers — all four of them.

    “It appears the Democrat Party’s claims of zero tolerance and its pledge to stand behind women’s claims of sexual allegations is, as it always is, hypocrisy,” said an editorial in one small-town North Carolina newspaper. “Total hypocrisy.”

    Most folks wish Mr West well and hope he continues to manage his self confessed bipolar issues purposefully…maybe he could be a spokesman for that group as well!

    How Trump ought to deal with the Press

    The Press indeed has a 1st Amendment right, but what is that right predicated upon? Did the Founder’s envision that the Press should be unencumbered by Government regulation so that they may engage in personal diatribes with politicians which they find abhorrent human beings? Was it so the Press could promulgate salaciously obscene material and pornographic images? That would seem to be contrary to the Founders vision as to why a Press should be free of Government coercion… We think the Founders understood the Press as the means of informing the electorate regarding matters – which the electorate’s ignorance would imperil Constitutional Liberties; thus, the Founders understood the Press as possessed of an obligation to inform the electorate…

    The other day – 7 November 2018 – CNN’s Jim Acosta showed his contempt, once again for POTUS Trump; Acosta accused the President of mischaracterizing the Caravan from the South American countries as invaders… POTUS should have 1.) Asked Jim Acosta – or any of the reporters present – to remove their phone and look up the meaning of the word “invader” on an online dictionary, viz: “to enter forcefully as an enemy;” or, “to intrude upon;” or, “to enter as if to take possession;” or, “to encroach, or infringe upon.” And, 2.) Ask Jim Acosta who it is that is constitutionally obligated to safeguard National Security, and able to deny entry into this country a foreign invader? Of course, the answer would be the POTUS Trump… So Trump – and his surrogates – could embarrass jack-asses like Acosta; instead of getting into arguments with them…

    Another tact that POTUS Trump and his representatives can, and should do, every time the opportunity avails itself, is to inquire – of reporters – regarding stories, facts and accomplishments which favor the Trump Administration, and which were given next to no coverage; and inquire regarding stories which reflect badly upon the Democrats, which the Press gave little coverage, and/or deflected condign criticism – for the Democrat – to an ancillary individual, group/entity – or to a Republican/conservative organization… Incessantly ask the Press persons why such stories are covered, or not covered… Thus, indicating – habitually, before the American people – that the Press “cherry-picks” news items, so as to advance a narrative.

    Those actions should – consistently – be followed up with noting that a Press which favors “A,” and disfavors “B,” is not reporting, but propagandizing! Since the Press is guilty of plenty of such activities, POTUS – and/or his representative/s – could assert – in light of having indicated the Press’s habit of selectively reporting and slanting news – that the Press is an enemy of the unvarnished, objective facts… This may – if it is practiced religiously (consistently) – and sans rancor – embarrass some in the Press encouraging some – out of embarrassment – to strive to be fair, and to distance and/or disassociate themselves from people like Jim Acosta, Jake Tapper, Rachel Maddow, Chris Mathews, Joe Scarborough et al…

    Election Fraud Expert: Brenda Snipes Allowed Illegal Aliens and Felons to Vote; Illegally Destroyed Ballots

    Three statewide races in Florida are headed to a recount and all depend on results from a county whose supervisor of elections has a history of losing ballots and breaking laws by allowing illegal immigrants and felons to vote, as well as illegally destroying ballots.
    Broward County supervisor of elections Brenda Snipes’ office has admitted “they don’t know” how many ballots there are still to count.

    Snipes’ latest failure to finalize Tuesday’s election returns days after the polls closed is also in violation of Florida law, which requires elections officials to “report all early voting and all tabulated vote-by-mail results to the Department of State within 30 minutes after the polls close. Thereafter, the canvassing board shall report, with the exception of provisional ballot results, updated precinct election results to the department at least every 45 minutes until all results are completely reported.”

    This should alarm anyone hoping for fair and accurate election returns, as Snipes’ history in Broward is checkered with numerous examples of facilitating illegal voting practices.

    In 2017, Dr. Snipes admitted in court that her office had allowed non-citizens and felons to vote and was particularly vulnerable ahead of major elections.

    In 2012, a Broward elections official complained about Snipes tendency to “find” additional ballots in close elections. Ilene Lieberman, a Broward County Commissioner and Canvassing board member, told the Miami CBS affiliate in 2012, “When the canvassing board recessed on Saturday we were basically told there were between 150 and 165 ballots remained to be counted, that they had to double check, that they hadn’t been counted before. And when we came back on Monday the report showed 963 new ballots.”

    Snipes also presided over a “phantom voting district” of 2000 voters who were using illegal addresses, many of them at a UPS Store, claimed as their places of residence.

    Republican Party officials sued Snipes’ office in 2016 over the illegal counting of 180,000 mail in ballots, she admitted that she didn’t know the meaning of the word “canvassing.” Snipes’ office had been opening ballots illegally, without the legally required participation of other members of the canvasing board.

    But Snipes hasn’t just been accused of malfeasance from Republicans.

    A 2016 Democratic Congressional candidate, Tim Canova, challenged the results of his loss to Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in court, only to have Snipes’ office illegally destroy the ballots, preventing additional inspection.

    Medical Marijuana backers NORML sued Snipes office in 2016 after the constitutional initiative to decriminalize marijuana was left off of some Broward County ballots. Lawyer John Morgan, who endorsed Andrew Gillum in this year’s Governor’s race, accused Snipes of doing it intentionally.

    Morgain marveled, “Broward County was our best county last time. And I don’t believe in accidents.”

    Snipes was originally appointed to her office by Republican Governor Jeb Bush in 2003, after her predecessor was removed from office for gross mismanagement. A former school administrator and principal, Snipes won election in 2004 and has been successfully been re-elected by Broward County voters every four years, most recently in a 2016 primary, where she received 76% of the 122,782 votes cast.

    Even that electoral win was not without controversy, however, as Snipes office inadvertently released the results of the elections 30 minutes before polls officially closed.

    According to Florida law, “Any supervisor of elections, deputy supervisor of elections, canvassing board member, election board member, or election employee who releases the results of any election prior to the closing of the polls in that county on election day commits a felony of the third degree.”

    Despite the Florida Secretary of State asking the Broward County Sherriff and State Attorney for an investigation, like other election-related crimes in Broward County, however, that also went unpunished

    Trey Gowdy Laughs in the Face of Chuck Schumer’s Demands to Acting Attorney General
    House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman

    Trey Gowdy is a pretty serious guy. The South Carolina congressman built a strong reputation as a no-nonsense prosecutor before bringing his skills to Washington, but even he couldn’t keep a straight face after hearing what Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer just declared.

    During an appearance on Fox News, Gowdy was shown a clip of Schumer basically demanding that the new attorney general bow down to Robert Mueller, who is currently conducting the special counsel investigation into the unproven Trump-Russia collusion.

    “Our paramount view is that any attorney general, whether (acting AG Matt Whitaker) or another one, should not be able to interfere with the Mueller investigation in any way,” Schumer declared at a recent press conference.

    “They should not be able to end it, they should not be able to limit it, they should not be able to interfere with Mueller going forward,” he continued.

    As Fox cut away from the clip back to Gowdy’s reaction, the fiery lawmaker stifled a bemused smirk over Schumer’s limp demand.

    “Every prosecutor has jurisdictional boundaries,” Gowdy responded, shooting down the Democrat’s claim that Mueller should have unlimited freedom with almost no oversight.

    “I don’t know a single prosecutor that does not (have boundaries). And Mueller’s jurisdictional boundaries were set by (Deputy Attorney General) Rod Rosenstein,” he pointed out.

    The South Carolina congressman went on to explain that it’s important for any prosecutor, whether local or national, to have limits and oversight — which is exactly what the attorney general provides.

    “But there’s never been a prosecutor that’s had unfettered power to go investigate whatever the heck he or she wanted to do,” Gowdy stated.

    “If you’re a state prosecutor, you can’t investigate federal crimes. If you’re in New York, you can’t investigate things in Idaho. So the notion that we’re going to create a special council that has no boss, no jurisdictional restrictions at all is just typical Chuck Schumer,” he shot back.

    Gowdy, who currently sits on the House Judiciary Committee, also added his thoughts about the firing of Jeff Sessions from the attorney general post.

    “It was gonna happen. I knew it was gonna happen after the election … I did not think it would happen before all the votes had been counted,” Gowdy quipped. “He’s been a proverbial dead man walking for several months now.”

    Sessions turned in his resignation at the request of President Trump just a day after the November 6th midterm election. As Gowdy pointed out, his departure was long anticipated, especially after the president publicly criticized his job performance.

    The reality which almost everyone now acknowledges is that Mueller’s probe has dragged on much longer — and unearthed surprisingly less — than even Trump’s critics expected.

    If there is real evidence of misdeeds, then Mueller should lay it out for the American people. But this cannot go on forever, especially with no oversight. It’s time to wrap it up — and Sessions’ departure is likely the push that was needed to make this happen.
