Trumps has grabbed the headlines across the globe although for the wrong reason. His disparaging exchange with Billy Bush -captured on a hot mike- and exposed by the US media about women is sure to derail his presidential campaign. What it does is to setup tomorrow’s second presidential debate to attract unprecedented viewership.

It also brings into question to what extent should the electorate hold political aspirants/candidates accountable for personal views. Secondly, how active should traditional media be in sharing the personal views of candidates to informed a mostly ‘ignorant’ electorate. Social media cannot be accused of suppressing information.

    Your conclusion smacks of out right bias to me. How can you so conclude that Mr Trump did not make an error but are guided by a disposition solely set aside on self-interest and a triumphant regard to be boastful and out of touch with reality. Are you a psychoanalyst?
    I didn’t support those women who waited after all those years to level charges true or untrue at President Clinton and I do not support those who have waited all those years to level theses charges true or untrue at Mr Trump so my criticism of Mr Clinton was not fuelled by something done in retrospect but by his conduct in the white house with the young intern after placing his hand on the bible at that all important swearing ceremony and swearing to defend and uphold the constitution of the USA and then to lie for a whole year and disparage the already tarnished character of the young intern which I deem to be abuse of his power and contempt for the public. Nothing done by Mr trump can be worse than Mr Clinton’s behaviour as President and I think that those like you who supported Mr Clinton in his sexual aberrations have no moral right to denigrate Mr Trump.

    Stop twisting the facts, the young intern didn’t accuse Clinton of anything and he didn’t disparage her character. Monica Lewinsky confided in Linda Tripp and that started the ball rolling, Lewinsky didn’t want any part of it but was compelled to testify under penalty of law. The women coming forward are directly accusing Trump of sexual assault and Trump’s own words have convicted him, incidentally this is not the first time that a woman has come forward years after the fact to allege sexual impropriety by a man. Remember Anita Hill?

    With help from corrupt media organizations, Hillary is using fabricated accusations of sexual assault to smother and suppress the news from the Trump camp about her own corrupt deal making and Janus-like politics

    We think you are wrong

    This is not merely a matter of establishment candidate vs outsider. For Trump is as establishment as they come. And Clinton is highly flawed as well.

    It represents a deeper/wider moral crisis at the centre of the American political-economy model, festering from the beginning.

    Bernie Sanders was an outsider but he had no known such baggage.

    But that Trump was able to defeat 17 other Republicans and that Clinton against a relatively normal candidate in a normal year and given her baggage under scrutiny the shoe could very easily have been on the other foot and should have been.

    As of Friday afternoon, WikiLeaks has released a total of 10,169 emails from the hacked account of John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

    Some of the top stories include:

    1) Hillary’a campaign team held back emails between Hillary and Obama after gov’t subpoena: Clinton Campaign Chairman, John Podesta, wrote and email to Cheryll Mills (attorney) about holding back the emails between President Obama and Hillary Clinton after receiving a subpoena to reveal all.

    2) Hillary breaks FEC rules by meeting with Super PAC: A hacked email released by WikiLeaks exposes that Clinton’s team was in a panic over a pending story the NY Times was about to break, revealing Clinton had illegally attended meetings with the Priorities USA super PAC,.”

    According to FEC regulations, SuperPACS are supposed to be completely independent of a campaign. “These expenditures may not be made in concert or cooperation with, or at the request or suggestion of, a candidate, the candidate’s campaign or a political party,” states the regulations.

    3) Hillary hates “everyday Americans.” John Podesta sent an email on April 19, 2015, stating, “I know she has begun to hate everyday Americans” but I think you should use it once the first time she says I’m running for president because you and everyday Americans need a champion.”

    4) Clinton’s dream is OPEN BORDERS: A quote from a speech Hillary Clinton gave to a Brazilian bank on May 16, 2013 revealed she wants open borders. She stated: “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.” [05162013 Remarks to Banco Itau.doc, p. 28]

    5) Clinton admits USA can’t possibly vet all refugees: Speaking in Chicago to the Jewish United Fund on October 2013, Clinton said: “And particularly with Syria which has everyone quite worried, Jordan because it’s on their border and they have hundreds of thousands of refugees and they can’t possibly vet all those refugees so they don’t know if, you know, jihadists are coming in along with legitimate refugees.”

    6) Clinton Admits to Having Two Sets Of Policies: In a speech to the National Multi-Housing Council on April 24, 2013, Clinton said, “But if everybody’s watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position.” She reportedly earned $225,000 for the speech.

    7) Funding ISIS: Hillary Clinton wrote an email to John Podesta on August 17, 2014, acknowledging that the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia are funding ISIS.

    “While this military/para-military operation is moving forward, we need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region,” she wrote.

    Meanwhile, those same governments have funded both the Clinton Foundation and Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election campaign, with between $10 to $25 million going to the Foundation as of 2008, the Saudis bragged they had funded 20% of Clinton’s presidential campaign.

    A Qatar ambassador asked to meet with Bill Clinton “for five minutes” to present him a $1 million check “for his birthday.”

    8) Clinton & Obama Tricked Americans On Iran Deal: Leaked emails that including “talking points” on the Iran nuclear agreement in the summer of 2015, where they were trying to sell Americans on the deal was discovered to contain misleading information.

    9) “We are screwed!” over conflicts with Clinton Foundation: Bill Clinton’s advisor, Doug Band, sent an email to John Podesta and Cheryl Mills in November 2011 about the negative publicity surrounding the connections with his firm Teneo and the Clinton Foundation, and said, “I’m starting to worry that if this story gets out, we are screwed.” Band said Chelsea Clinton was “acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she’s doing.”

    10) Bill & Chelsea nearly drove Foundation executive to suicide: In another email exchange in December 2011, Doug Band told how he had managed to prevent Clinton Foundation COO Laura Graham from committing suicide, over work-related stress caused by Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton.

    11) Drivers Licenses To Illegal Aliens: Email exchanges between Clinton staff verify that Clinton wants to give drivers licenses to all “undocumented immigrants.”

    12) Pay To Play Exposed: Evidence was leaked suggesting that during the term Hillary Clinton was secretary of state, the Obama administration rewarded individuals who gave large donations to either the DNC or Obama’s “Organizing for Action” organization with ambassadorship positions. An email dated May 18, 2016 asked the DNC if they could set up a brief call “to go over our process for handling donations from donors who have given us pay to play letters.”

    13) Fake Trump Craigslist Ad Scheme: Already plotting how they could take Trump down with the “woman card”, the DNC discussed how they could place a FAKE Craigslist ad, making it appear that Trump was advertising for “hot” women.

    14) Clinton went anti-Muslim: In 2008, Hillary used race-driven talking points to discredit Obama in the general election. The campaign pushed the narrative that Obama was no good for America because his father was Muslim, and that he grew up around Muslims in a nation highly populated with Muslims.

    15) Donors expect special favors: One email offers an independent “governance review” by a law firm that specializes in nonprofits. The review was requested by Mrs. Clinton’s daughter Chelsea who had concerns about the Clinton Foundation and potential conflict-of-interests with its donors, and was sharply opposed by her father’s friends and donors. The review, conducted in December 2010, concluded many of the foundation’s donors had “an expectation of a quid pro quo benefits in return for gifts.”

    16) Mrs. Clinton’s spokesman urged her to lie to the public on whether she sent classified information: Bloomberg News reported Mrs. Clinton’s campaign spokesman Brian Fallon urged her to issue a blanket denial that she ever sent classified information through her private email server because anything less could open her up to charges she broke the law. “We should not think it is fine to find something that ‘should have been classified at the time,’ ” Mr. Fallon, the spokesman, wrote to other top campaign officials on Aug. 22, 2015, as they debated a statement Mrs. Clinton would make on her use of an email server in her home. “Our position is that no such material exists, else it could be said she mishandled classified info,” Mr. Fallon wrote.

    It is you Mr Sarge who is twisting the facts. Mr Clinton after a year of putting the country whose constitution he swore to uphold through turmoil and great expense admitted to inappropriate sexual behaviour with ‘that woman’ in the White house at that and his sordid behaviour was supported by his wife until evidence refuted her claim that a ‘vast right wing conspiracy’ was behind a plot to tarnish his image.

    Anita Hill was a Democratic plant to deny the republican black nominee the appointment to the supreme court. She should be ashamed of herself.

As time passed, it became clear that some of these same Republicans were engaged in activities that were similar to what they were criticizing Bill C for. Not learning any lessons from history, we have Donald Trump now caught up in a list of similar sordid stories after he went after Bill Clinton.

    I can cite cases of preachers delivering sermons against homosexuality and at the same time partaking of this forbidden fruit.

    Having spent more than 25 years living in Amerikkkan cities governed by Democrats, I can attest to the disconnect between the soothing speeches of national Democrat candidates like Hillary when they are on TV soliciting votes, and the brutal realities of everyday life on the ground, which is all about abusive police officers , dreadful schools, and “welfare” programs that mostly ignore the poor because nearly all the money is allocated to the salaries of ineffective intermediaries (lawyers, social workers, community organizers and such).

    Hillary did nothing for the black New Yorkers she represented in the US Senate. She is a white suburban racist from the 1960s
    who only joined the Democrat party to promote feminism and wage war on men.

    She is not interested in half the US population. She has no domestic policy agenda for the United States except to promote immiserating trade and immigration policies on behalf of elite banking interests, Hispanics and Muslims. She offers NOTHING to black men except incarceration for trivial offences.

    So we can forgive misguided black feminists who want to see a woman as Commander-in-Chief. But any authentic black man supporting Hillary is a total moron.

    Bottomline is Killary is no damn good, there is no getting around, under or above that…but Trump, Trump…I dont think so…I could sympathize with people who are stuck in this recurring US nightmare of 2 of the worst candidates the country has ever had to offer, I can thoroughly understand why a space station is to be built and citizenship is being offered to the 200,000 or so of the brightest people to live and work there, it’s such a pity they don’t take that amount or a few million more of the Trumps and Killarys and exile them to that upcoming space station…never to return to earth among real people..It’s a travesty that anynif them are on earth.

    Until recently in the United States, physicians, particularly those who serve the elites, routinely prescribed precautionary doses of powerful antibiotics every year. I would be surprised if Hillary escaped this.practice

    For example, my own University of Chicago physician used to dose me with a full course of Azithromycin after every annual check up, even though my blood and urine tests were perfectly clean.

    I cannot imagine Hillary having a case of untreated syphilis given the sheer number of New York doctors that have fussed over her for years.

    The physicians who engaged in this practice were making sure their clients were happy and temporarily taken care of. It was a short term strategy.
    The point is it was, and still is, commonplace among the elites. I believe it justifies considerable scepticism about your syphilis theory.

    Following the Presidential show like you from a distance I am not anti- Hilary because of her husband’s indiscretions but because of her penchant for double dealing as the wikileaks tapes clearly reveals and I do not believe she has any moral right to vilify Trump for his inappropriate behaviour to women since she was in the forefront of denigrating the women whom her husband abused and like Mr Trump use his power to take advantage of. You have to admit that your client though promised the prize long ago has not stepped up to the plate and is as unworthy of Mr Trump to hold office. In my view Mrs Obama in her discourses has proven to be a woman of deep intellect and would be a more fitting candidate than Mrs Clinton morally and intellectually. The truth is that Mrs Clinton has no message other than her unbridled ambition to be President and her penchant to change her tune to the position that fits her agenda. In the public forum she supports the Iran deal behind his back she calls it the worst thing since chamberlain handed over Czechoslovakia to Hitler. Nasty two faced woman she is.

    True the plant stuff might be fictional but what is coming through to me is that the press possibly in the pockets of the Democratic party establishment used Trump to disparage and discredit his Republican opponents to remove any credible opposition to a still unpopular Hilary while having the dirt on Trump all the time. Now without any credible threat from the Republican side it is ironic that thirty four days before the election all the dirt on Mr Trump which effectively ruins his campaign has been unleashed with a compliant CNN and MSNBC press serving as the attack dogs for the Clintons and the Democratic party.

    @Skeete you blog generally rather objectively so it’s fair to approach any riposte to you as objectively. re your 5:37 let’s accept that Clinton is duplicitous craven and preternaturally ambitious towards the Presidency. She is.

    But pick any US President in the last 50 years and affirm which one did NOT have those same characteristics. Pick any Bajan PM and cite me one who failed that test.

    This is politics. It is an absolute nonsense to criticize a politician as duplicitous. It is doubly so in this campaign. How does one objectively respond to Trump presenting several Clinton accusers as valid and worthy but in the same breath condemn all those who accuse him and their supporters. That is duplicity bar none.

    How can a reasonable person not accept that anyone who is involved with an organization that raises over $100M for charity but distributes only $5M in direct grants while spending multi more $$millons in salaries and services is basically crooked.

    But do we elect that person or the one who is lighting political Molotov cocktails across the country with incendiary remarks about rigged elections and creating a strange relationship with Russia who is hacking its way into his country’s most treasured traditions of electoral openness; and just waiting for the explosion so that he can blame his opponent.

    Of course the media is after Trump. But that is HIS fault. How can a realistic media be for the candidate who says he will open up the libel laws to go after them or who openly calls journalists crooked and incites his supporters to attack them?? The same man who praises Putin who had journalists killed.

    Does it not make sense for journos to bury this guy?

    In 2008 the media was arguably FOR Obama but they were NOT rabidly against McCain. But for sure this time they are against a man who would be dictator.

    I don’t see any abiding love for ‘crooked’ Hilary despite the ‘first female’ coming after the ‘first Black’. None of that unbridled euphoria whatever!

    It seems madness to me re a concerted media plan. I have not seen too many journalists advance their careers by holding back on news worthy tidbits…just ask the folks at ‘Access Holiday’ and the journo at The Washington Post how that ‘collusion’ worked for them individually.

    Donald Trump is just not suitable. As the Blogmaster said he is the ‘awfullest’ of the two.

    When voters say Trump is not suitable, they are saying it is necessary for a president to be relentlessly deceitful, and to promote the trade and immigration agenda of the globalists and internationalists in the foreign policy Establishment.

    That is bull—-. We need straightforward plain speaking nationalists in the Oval Office who will prevent the United States from being overrun by impoverished Mexicans and sabotaged by Islamic militants.

    If this is true then your doctor was medically abusing you. You should sue him, and report this abuse to his professional body.

    But then my physicians are the very best that the University of the West Indies has to offer…not that quack you claim was educated at the University of Chicago.

    Simple

    I would never trust my life to physicians or surgeons at UWI unless there were no alternatives. American doctors use a lot of antibiotics, do a lot of lab tests, and are often very aggressive in treating conditions like hypertension. That is all good in my book, although I recognize there are long term risks from the overuse of antibiotics.

    British- and UWI-trained doctors shortened the lives of my father, my mother and one of my aunts. Before they killed my father they blinded him in one eye with botched cataract surgery. I have nothing good to say about doctors in the Caribbean. All talk, no performance.
