The management of Arawak Cement Limited in the attached document dated June 1, 2016 has accused Minister Donville Inniss of not responding to a letter sent to him on April 18, 2016. The thrust of the communication is to complain that the Barbados authorities have been incorrectly classifying imported cement by Rock Hard Limited as โ€œother hydraulic cementโ€ย  and not โ€œhydraulic cementโ€. The benefit to Rock Hard Cement Limited is that the imported cement attracts 5% CET and not 15%. Further, Arawak Cement Limited posits that the the chemical composition of the cement imported by Rock Hard Cement Limited is the same as that produced in the region and therefore deemed ineligible for exemption based on COTED mandate. It is highly unlikely theatPrime Minister Fruendel Stuart has responded to Arawak Cement Limited given the sloth at which he has built a reputation.

Is this the same Minister Donville Inniss who today [16 June 2016] invited disgruntled stakeholders to pursue established government channels to solve problems and avoid the traditional and social media?

  1. @ Sargeant,

I do not believe civil servants โ€œthey do everything to frustrate people from doing business in this countryโ€.

It defies logic. What would be their motivation?

  2. @de pedantic Dribbler June 17, 2016 at 6:31 AM #

@Geoffrey, why would that have to be a rumour? Wouldnโ€™t it actually make sense because the Chinese people are underwriting a major part of the financing for the Sam Lords redevelopment.

I believe that all matters related to a project of that type would be negotiated based on the input/request of the financier.
    …………………………………………..

Do you realise that these morons are borrowing the money that we the taxpayers have to repay? The Chinese are not giving Barbados a grant.

If the morons had any sense, they would forget the loan but wait………there again they cannot……….the jackasees have managed our economy so badly that they cannot borrow from regular source as we are at JUNK status!

  3. Any body been up by Sam Lord’s? Does it look like it’s about to start? Just asking, because I find it hard to take this government seriously.

  4. *Anybody (not a Freudian slip)

  5. Sam Lord Castle does not have TCP permission for the Wyndham Hotel scheme. This Government is hoping to use the old CLICO permission which has lapsed and was for a different hotel scheme altogether so its going to be interesting to see how they get it started without TCPO permission.

  6. Anyway that is now up to the quisling Darcy to work his special brand of magic. They are so desperate to get projects going that anything and anyone will be moved to get them started.

  7. Maybe that is why Mark Cummins is about to either be sent on early retirement or moved to very senior post at the Animal Nutrition Unit or some such insignificant entity/location.

The Chief Town Planner cannot be transferred to any other post without his consent. The only way to get him out of the way is to bring charges against him and suspend him during the investigation. At that point, they can appoint an acting chief who could/would sign off. After that is completed, they could abandon the investigation by saying that there was not enough evidence to prove the allegations. He would then go back to work.

I expect this type of foul move.

  9. When the good people of Barbados decided in their wisdom to elect these morons disguised in 2008 as ethical, caring, champions of the poor black man…………could any one except Bees ever envisioned that they would evolve into unethical, corrupt, dont “carish”, self centred, visionless wildboys?

  10. I agree, Caswell.

What I find despicable is for the PM to give away this important part of his ministry to an UNELECTED greedy moron.

What the hell does this PM do now? He took over the same reponsiblities as a dying man and now sheds another part of his portfolio?

Gosh man…… this man is lazy ………he has to have an agenda to have passed the oversight of TCP to Boyce, a man with questionalable morals. Something is amiss with that.

We are neither stupid or foolish…………would any one have believed the dlp could sink to such lows?

I am more than happy to see after days of trying to mislead the people on the island re illegal imports by dishonest businessmen, Chris Sinckler has proven Inniss to be a liar, so where is the resignation Inniss was threatening yesterday because he was feeling such “pain” for dishonest business people.

You said the Dems fooled people that they are Champions of the Black Man.That reminds me of Bharatt Jagdeo former president of Guyana. He was named by the UNIA as a Champion of the Earth and walk about boasting that he is such. What they have found since he is out of office now is that he gave away practically the whole of Guyana forest to the Chinese company Baishilin who destroying that country with a vengeance, chopping down all the trees and shipping them out to China. If Barrow was alive,Jagdeo couldn’t land in Barbados.

Is that the real Donville Inniss posting here? Because it is, you know that the matter got to be very serious and not easily covered up for him to grace BU with his name and commentary. Anyway, if it is really Donville Inniss, please clear your name and tell all what is your relationship with Mark Maloney. Word on the street, oops let me rephrase, the word making the cyber rounds is that you took the Mark Maloney bribe and now you cannot speak against him. Is that true Sir Inniss.

  15. Point to ponder – if $20,000 was so easily offered to Mr Morris of the NationNews to make a story disappear, would anyone hazard a guess as to what sum would have been offered to allow the chicken wings to enter in the first place. Further, what size enticement would a minister be offered to fast track some of the other doubtful dealings of which we here refer?

Now, would not these deposits of such large proportions raise a red flag with our financial services watchdogs causing them to conduct interviews or even following the money trail? Remember how the Leader of the House (?) in the US was interviewed after making multiple withdrawals of $50,000 from personal account resulting in the discovery of blackmail and sexual abuse from his past. Just asking.

  16. Donville cannot back Arawak, he cannot, he JUST cannot. With every bag of cement sold Donville has a cause to smile.

  17. Donville is a very clever man, if Arawak sells a bag……..he smiles, if Rock Hard sells a bag………he smiles. He has split to market in two and got each of them make him smile.

  18. Hants,

It is not just civil servants who suffer from this. I have noticed that many, many people enjoy frustrating you by telling you that – “It cyan do so” or “It cannot be done” and similar disappointing responses. I suspect that it gives them a feeling of power, perverse as it seems, because in many cases their jobs depend on your patronage. But how many people do you know who act rationally? I have met many more who don’t.

  19. Well Well & Consequences Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences

Yeah…but now things are being revealed…Donville is too dishonest, greedy and uncaring of the majority who elected him..twice.

I remember vividly his uncaring attitude toward the Clico policyholders robbed by him and Fruendel’s friend the thief Leroy Parris….Donville publicy declared that it served these policyholders right that they were robbed by Parris, many went to ther graves not receiving their money, he claimed they were greedy why they were robbed by Parris and deceased David Thompson…and that pimp Alvin repeated those same words.

But now we see who is greedy, Donville’s greed and lust to become prime minister is now on full display, the lengths he would go to sell out bajans..the lenghths he would go to enrich the minority community leaving his own people to struggle…imagine those intentions in the mind of someone who is aching to become prime minister…yall think it’s bad now, just make a mistake and allow that beast to become prime minister.

  26. I am left to wonder if it wasn’t a bad day when Barrow changed the Constitution and took away the authority and independence of the Public Services Commission to appoint and/or disappoint all public servants with exceptions like the Police and Teachers at that time which had their own superior body.In all cases the final arbiter was the GG.Now with statutory bodies the final arbiter must be the Courts however you have to wait and wait and wait.Barbados has witnessed such a decline in morals that a lawyer ‘put’ the chief judicial officer in court and a big able QC skin his posterior at a diminutive lady judge and nothing came of it.If either had done it to Graveney, their asses would be Dodds on remand for a few days then brought back down and given a hearing and a sentence without bail.

Each time Donville Inniss speaks on issues, he legitimizes the title โ€œOutspoken Ministerโ€ the media has now bestowed upon him.

If we seek to analyse the rationale behind Donvilleโ€™s outbursts, we can immediately arrive at two conclusions:

    1) Donville has recognized that his DLP is incapable of ADHERING to the PRINCIPLES of โ€œgood governanceโ€ as outlined in their 2008 election manifesto and as such, he is not satisfied with the leadership style of Freundel Stuart.

    2) The DLP is NOT as UNITED as they want Barbadians to believe.

They bold is france with their lies, cover ups and defence, though. He probably realized he overstepped his boundaries defending business people who break the law, which means he is not on the same page as the prime minister and definitely not on the side of the taxpayers who have to pay out billions of dollars for these arrogant ministers and business people’s cockup….the taxpayers keep losing and Donville prefer sit with the minority business people than with his fellow ministers…he is forgetting or don’t care that he needs the majority black pople and not the minority white and indian business people, there aint enough of them….to be reelected.

Would it not be nice to see Inniss kissing Fruendel and Sinckler in tomorrow’s newspapers…lol

If only the Don from Pornville could take a bribe and get Maloney to build that brand new hospital that was promised by the Minister of Health just prior to the 2013 elections all of the liar’s sins would be forgiven.

We can just see the name of the new hospital emblazoned with the words: โ€œThe Maloney & Bjerkham Hospital dedicated to the poor of Barbados and funded by Taxpayers by means of a PPP arrangement privately arranged by Pornville c(O.)rrupt) Innissโ€.

I dont know if what I heard making the rounds on the cocktail circuit after the 2013 election ties into what you are hearing.

It is alleged that someone called George Street in a panic on election day saying the person was in trouble, needed urgent help, as the person said “I cannot loose my seat”. The man we call a blasted liar was alleged to have said….dont despair, reinforcement is on the way……..we can only guess as to what type of reinforcement was sent.

Lol…Donville jumped in the newspapers recently talking about taxpayer’s money was invested in Apes Hill, I wonder if he told Fruendel, I know he said nothing to the taxpayers, whose money it is, before giving it to Cow and Bizzy.

Now sometime ago certain people had a conversation during dinner and talk about this hospital being built up Apes Hill came up….now we are left to wonder and are free to speculate…is it taxpayer’s money going to build this Apes Hill hospital…and if true can people from Orleans, Chapman Lane, Black Rock and the surrounding areas present themselves to this hospital.

Why the hell would ministers of government continually take the taxpayer’s money and give it away to Cow, Bizzy, Maloney, Bjerkham et al…..so far it’s not the taxpayers benefitting from this arrangement, why do these emptyheaded jackasses for ministers keep doing it…..and they always “feel the pain” of the minority business people, but never feel the pain of the majority whose votes they depend on to elect them…..

Some years ago I remember Mia sucking up to the hoteliers talking about “she feel their pain”…..same hoteliers who never paid back their loans…or taxes or vat……how is it that politicians cannot feel the pain of the majority whose numbers they need to be elected.

Donville is can be termed what our old folk would call a “moutha”…….speaks unadvisedly on any and every thing.

When he flew this kite about building a new hospital at Kingsland, a few weeks later I happened to be in a meeting with senior health officilas and I asked one about the new developments.

The person laughed and told me that the minister is full of hot air.

The person said that he must have woken up the morning and decided to put that lie out there.

The person also said that there were no meetings held, no technocrats assembled, no plans drawn up, no architects, nothing.

So we can judge him by this assessment from a civil servant….when you get to know civil servants, they do talk about these incompetent politicians!

  44. Good Morning โ€ช#โ€Žrealdreamchasersโ€ฌ! Weโ€™ve made it to the end of another week. Give thanks. Here is your daily newscap.

FREUNDEL LAMENTS US KILLINGS – Prime Minister Freundel Stuart has extended sympathy to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, over the loss of innocent lives, occasioned by โ€œan evil and brutal act of terrorโ€ in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. The massacre happened on Latin night at the Pulse nightclub in the heart of Orlando, a city best known for its theme parks. The gunman, identified as Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old security guard who was born in New York to Afghan parents, opened fire inside the crowded gay nightclub early Sunday, leaving at least 49 people dead in the worst mass shooting in modern US history. In correspondence sent to the US President, Stuart said: โ€œBarbados, like other peace-loving and free societies, repudiates such barbarity and the affront to human dignity.โ€œI am confident that the resilience of the American people will serve them in good stead as they seek to recover from this outrageous deed.โ€Stuart said that at this time of sorrow and mourning, the Government and people of Barbados were praying for the bereaved and for the safety of the people of the US.

SCANNERS, CCTV OPTION FOR SCHOOLS – SCANNING DEVICES AND closed-circuit television cameras in schools are just two of the recommendations a security organisation will be sending to the Ministry of Education in a matter of weeks. The recommendations are coming from the Caribbean Association of Security Professionals (CASP), the board members of which held a news conference yesterday.Chairman of CASP, Oral Reid, said members of the board met president of the Barbados Union of Teachers, Pedro Shepherd, and as a result โ€œwe are now fully informed with regard to some of the challenges which exist within the school environment and the challenges which members of the teaching population have been exposed to and (have) experienced over timeโ€.

BAD CHEQUES – PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY in their bank accounts have written more than a $150 000 in worthless cheques to the Carlton and Emerald City supermarkets over the past four years. And with no seeming end to the situation, Andrew Bynoe, owner of the two popular retail entities, has taken the drastic step of ending the acceptance of personal cheques. Bynoe told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday that from July 1, only people pre-approved by the retailer would be allowed to offer cheques as a form of payment for groceries from the outlets located at Black Rock, St Michael and Six Roads, St Philip.โ€œOur preferred method of payment will be cash, credit cards and debit cards . . . . The reason why we have to move away from personal cheques is because too many cheques are being returned these days and it is a high cost to the business,โ€ the supermarket owner explained.

UWI COUNTS LOSS – A local credit union is counting a financial loss associated with its investment in Arawak Cement Limited (ACL).UWI (Cave Hill) Co-operative Credit Union Limited, which recently held its annual general meeting, reported the $137 107 impairment in its 2015 annual report.President Jennifer Hinkson, speaking on behalf of the board of directors, said the loss was related to investments made through the then Barbados National Bank (now Republic Bank) Finance And Trust in ACL bondsโ€.โ€œIn June 2006, the credit union invested in an ACL bond through BNB Finance Trust. The amount of the investment was $225 000 at an interest rate of 10.25 per cent. In January 2007, a further $468 750 was made in a second tranche of the bond at an interest rate of 11.20 per cent,โ€ she explained.

PROBE INTO IMPORTED GOOD RACKET – A SELECT GROUP of business people in Barbados with connections in the Customs and Excise Department is fleecing the Treasury of substantial amounts of tax revenue and making it extremely hard for some legitimate importers and distributors to get their products sold. Yesterday morning Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler confirmed he had received a โ€œlegitimate complaintโ€ from one of the badly affected companies, Bryden Stokes, and just three days ago had raised it at a meeting that was attended by officials in the manufacturing and small business sectors as well as customs. WEEKEND NATION investigation revealed that one of the major culprits was an officer of the customs department who was connected to a company that imported items such as Bounty paper products, Pringles snacks and Monster energy drink, all of which attract duty in excess of 100 per cent, but which were being sold at prices โ€œthat do not reflect this impositionโ€.

NO PERMITS – Many of the vendors seeking permission to ply their trade along The City streets will be sorely disappointed, with the Ministry of Agriculture warning some will not be accommodated. Officials from the ministry, along with members of the Barbados Association of Retailers and Vendors (BARVEN), toured sections of Bridgetown that traditionally attract a large number of vendors, as the ministry seeks to exercise greater control.Manager of Markets in the Ministry of Agriculture Sherlock King said there were not set limits to the number of permits issued per street. However, he said there were several factors that could lead to a rise or fall in the number approved over time. The tour allowed the authorities to hear the vendorsโ€™ concerns in order to formulate solutions โ€œto the benefit of everybodyโ€, King explained. It was not meant to prevent vendors from conducting business but to ensure there was a more โ€œregulated environment in which vendors can operate without fear of prosecution or criminalizationโ€, he insisted. He said the top brass of the ministry would discuss todayโ€™s findings โ€œas quickly as possibleโ€ before making a decision on the number of permits to be issued.

SSA GETS THUMBS UP – The Sanitation Service Authority got a passing grade today for its collection of garbage on the routes identified by Minister of the Environment Dr Denis Lowe in an interview with Barbados TODAY.Thursday, a Barbados TODAY team took up Loweโ€™s challenge to journalists to move around the country to see the waste had been removed from such districts as Pie Corner and Moon Town in St Lucy, Highway 5 which stretches from the Prime Ministerโ€™s official residence in Two Mile Hill to as far east as the parish of St Philip, and the stretch of road from Bridgetown to Speightstown in St Peter.Barbados TODAYโ€™S team not only visited the districts identified by Lowe, but visited such districts as Sealy Hall and Sargeant Street in St John where all of the residents interviewed gave the SSA a thumbs up.Holderโ€™s Hill in St James was the only district visited by the Barbados TODAY where unsightly piles of garbage could be seen all along that stretch of road.

ARAWAK MEETS RESIDENTS -RELATIONS BETWEEN RESIDENTS of Bromefield, St Lucy, and their industrial neighbour Arawak Cement Company appear to be improving. Last Saturday the top brass of the company sat down with more than two dozen residents who had been complaining for months about dust that had been invading their homes and hurting their health as a result of a limestone quarry Arawak opened upwind of their homes last year.According to spokesperson for the residents Olivia Thornhill, the Arawak team was led by general manager Manuel Toro and included officials from its environment and safety, human resources and public relations teams and the issues covered included general health complaints and a reduced standard of living caused by the dust. She said several residents again complained that they continued to suffer from bouts of asthma, difficulty breathing, sore throat and other respiratory matters.

OLD WOMAN SLEEPING OUTSIDE OF QEH – THERE WAS AN old woman who slept outside the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). However, whether she has any children โ€“ much less so many she did not know what to do with โ€“ is unknown. Unlike the nursery rhyme, however, all may not end well for the woman as she may be showing signs of mental instability. The woman, who may be named Doreen, has apparently been making the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as her home at night for the past decade. She can be spotted there late at night sweeping the surroundings and keeping the area clean. Normally this is a good thing but the woman then spends the night in a box near the entrance, much to the surprise and concern of those at the A&E.

HEAR US – There will be a heavier police presence in the Brittons Hill, St Michael community following a request from residents. This afternoon, when police officers walked through Valery, Brittons Hill, residents complained about the influx of drugs and firearms, and called for more police surveillance.Senior Superintendent Eucklyn Thompson agreed that there must be greater interaction between police and residents, promising that the Royal Barbados Police Force would step up its presence there.โ€œSome [residents] said to me that they want to have a greater police presence and that has to be examined; and everything would be done to ensure that that happens,โ€ Thompson told journalists.โ€œYou have heard too that some of the issues within this community really are not within the bosom of the residents; that they are people who are coming in and creating difficulties. So that too has to be looked at. In fact we encourage people to feed us with the requisite information.โ€

FIRE – A young Water Hall Land, St Michael man was rendered homeless today after an early morning fire consumed his home.Tourism worker Corey Brewster lost all his possessions in the blaze, which started around 8 a.m. The fire also destroyed an adjacent one-bedroom house, caused slight damage to another, owned by 99-year-old Rosalie Bailey, and extensively damaged a car that was parked in front of Brewsterโ€™s home. The 29-year-old Brewster was not at home when the fire started, but got there in time to see his home being consumed by the flames. He said he attempted to save some of the contents, however, the heat and billowing smoke proved too much for him.โ€œI feel lost, just like the house,โ€ the young man, still in disbelief, said yesterday afternoon as he watched the charred rubble.โ€œI loss everything, even the dog dead. I even had lumber in there that I buy to do some small repairs. I had paint, a brand new marble counter, sinks, bathroom fittings that ainโ€™t get installed yet,โ€ he lamented. It was just in late February this year that Minister of Social Transformation Steve Blackett handed over the $75,000 house to Bailey under the Poverty Alleviation and Reduction Programme. Baileyโ€™s granddaughter Caroline, who lives at the house with two of her sons, wept bitterly at the scene this morning. She later collapsed and had to be taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention. This afternoon, Bailey sat in her dining room, thanking God for sparing her home. Just after nine, ten fire officers under the command of Divisional Officer Ormond Fenty brought the fire under control. Two fire tenders and one water tanker were deployed to extinguish the blaze.

COMMUNITIES ROCKED BY SUDDEN DEATH – One moment fisherman Peter Holder was โ€œdrinking two beersโ€ and having fun with his friends at Seaside Bar in Bathsheba, St Joseph, the next second, Holder, in his sixties, was dead. Dead is 52-year-old Joel Clarke, assistant supervisor at Consett Bay Fish Market for the last six years. It was not immediately known how the father of two, who resided in Cave Hill, St Michael with his wife, died.

MAN COLLAPSES AND DIES – The sadness that 21-year-old Leandra Trotman felt this morning as she boarded a flight bound for Jamaica was nothing compared to the shattering pain she would endure just a few hours later.Leandra and her father, 56-year-old Sylvester Trotman, said their goodbyes last night because he had to work this morning and would not have been able to see her off as she left to pursue studies at the Mona Campus of the University of the West Indies.Having arrived safely, the young woman was in her dorm this evening when she received the devastating news from her mother Joycelyn Trotman, that the man who saw her as his world had collapsed and died moments earlier at Belle Gully, St Michael, just a short distance from home. โ€œOne of the last things Leandra told her father is that she loved him, and he said, โ€˜I love you too sweetieโ€™. That child was his world.โ€œHe loved that daughter immensely. She was his heart. This is so sad. I am shocked,โ€ Trotmanโ€™s cousin Ivan Foderingham said at the scene. Trotman, an employee at Cost U Less, was on his way home from work and had stopped to talk to the shopkeeper at Kaieteur Bar when he died. His elderly parents Winfield and Carma Jordan were among the first to arrive at the scene and the mother insisted she would not leave. Relatives attempted to console her as she cried openly over the loss of the son who lived with her. No one appeared more bemused than the shopkeeper who had a difficult time grasping what had happened. The shopkeeper, who asked that he not be identified, said it was about 6 p.m. that he and Trotman were engaged in conversation. He was sitting at the shopโ€™s door and Trotman was standing outside. They had spoken for about two minutes when the 56-year-old went quiet. The dead manโ€™s brother Carlisle Trotman also left the island today, and was given the heartbreaking news while in the United States. His nieces Krystal and Natheisha were also visibly shaken, especially Natheisha, who spent some time bonding with her uncle last night.Residents described Trotman as a friendly and quiet neighbour who loved gardening and spent a lot of time at it.Members of the St Barnabas Anglican Church where Trotman was a member of the choir and driver of the church bus, gathered at the scene, offering words of comfort to the family. Church warden Michael Beckles said Trotman was an active member. He attended service every night last week during the annual patronal festival, Beckles said. Trotman was the fifth person to have died suddenly in Barbados this week.

CLASH OVER RENT MONEY – ACCUSATIONS, recriminations, allegations and insults flew as two women clashed in Stuart Land, Savannah Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, yesterday.Their dispute was over a rented house in the neighbourhood, the windows of which were broken around 5 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. As one woman accused and the other rebuked in the name of God, police from District โ€œAโ€ were investigating to find out who actually shattered the glass in every roadside window of the house.Marlene Elliott, the daughter of 74-year-old Carlton Stuart, who lives in the United States and who owns the house and a number of others in the neighbourhood, accused tenant Patricia Eversley of paying someone to break the windows.

GUN SCARE AT COURT – A ROUTINE STOP by a security guard yesterday uncovered a chilling attempt by a young man to slip into the District A magistratesโ€™ court precincts with a loaded 9mm gun. The firearm, reportedly tucked between the manโ€™s leg and buttocks, led to the alarming unmasking of an apparent revenge plot that may be connected to the recent fatal gunplay linked to the Brittons Hill, St Michael district, police sources said. The discovery sent the court and police into high alert with court administrators rushing to address nervous office staff about their fears over the lack of security within the precincts. The 21-year-old armed man identified as Shaquille Rasheed Greenidge was able to get slightly beyond the Coleridge Street gates of the court when the security officer stopped him to enforce the strict dress code. He had been casually dressed in three-quarter โ€œcut-upโ€ jeans and a white T-shirt and resisted the guardโ€™s attempt to deny him entry.

COURT WORRY – A tragedy waiting to happen!Thatโ€™s was the reaction of one prominent attorney and former President of the Barbados Bar Association to todayโ€™s worrying incident, which occurred on the precincts of the District โ€œAโ€ Magistratesโ€™ Court on Coleridge Street, The City. Up to late tonight, police were yet to confirm the identify of the court offender, but attorney-at-law Wilfred Abrahams, who is also an Opposition Barbados Labour Party Senator, said that based on the information he had been able to glean privately about the incident, he was worried that one of the main places of work might not be safe.Abrahams said he had been informed that the main reason the man was not allowed into the compound was that he wore short pants, and not because he was carrying a loaded weapon. While giving kudos to the security guard who eventually discovered the firearm, Abrahams said todayโ€™s disturbing event highlights โ€œsome inherent weaknessesโ€ in the courtโ€™s security system, as he went on to compare the situation at the magistrateโ€™s court with that at the islandโ€™s main judicial building, the Supreme Court. The attorney further cautioned that there was a similar security weakness at the gate leading into the Central Police Station โ€œwhere if you are coming through to go to the police canteen, you can just walk through that gate without being searched once againโ€.He further took issue with the current procedure whereby โ€œpersons in custody are walked across the courtyard within touching distance of their family, friends, supporters or people who might wish to do them harm, or try to rescue themโ€, saying, โ€œIt is unacceptableโ€.In light of todayโ€™s โ€œscareโ€, he said it was time for the authorities to face up to the reality that criminals in the country were getting daring, while suggesting that at least some of the police officers working in court compounds should be armed. With police and other judicial officials and staff tightlipped about the investigation, Abrahams stressed that โ€œhad that [man] not been wearing a short pants, Lord alone knows what would have happened! Thatโ€™s the only reason he got stopped.

  45. Well Well,

Never assume you know what my motives are. You will, more often than not, be wrong. I asked because I wanted to know. I am not aware of any scandal besides the porn.

    SSS,

What you are missing is that I like to have evidence to back these things up. I do not jump on any bandwagon even if your lovely self is on it unless I check it out for myself.

Donna…I was real serious when I told you the information is there…look for it, I did realize you have not been following the comments in the links…I catch up with the comments first by reading everything on the link, because most times, links are posted with comments and evidence of ministers telling lies and making asses of themselves.

Piece…. I gotta tell, Donville is minister of small business….he should be encouraging the young males to start there own businesses, creat their own wealth so they wont have to be going to the Bizzys, Cows, Maloneys, Tempros, Bjerkhams and becoming dependant on them for jobs only to be used as bait to enable them to break the island’s laws, just to keep a job….

instead of Donville encouraging self-sufficiency in young people, in his own people, he has spent the last 7 years pimping behind those he considers big business people, but in reality are only parasites on the treasury…7 wasted years…4 as health minister, 3 holding a business portfolio…..he should be showing us 200 young people who have successful busineses because of his intervention..and dont have to go to the minorities for a job…..at least another 100 older people who are also independent of having to go to the minorities for a job…..but no, he got nothing to show but arrogance.

But these are the same people he will have to face and beg for votes soon.

  47. @ Well Well

    But therein you are wrong.

You stated “But these are the same people he will have to face and beg for votes soon.”

That is very wrong and Pornville in his interview, gives us a preface of how he perceives those same people.

He does not want any friends from any of them or us.

He is set for life so there is no need for him to be beholden to a man.

He is not like Patrick Todd who I am reliably informed by others more knowledgeable that me, is penniless the day after he is paid his $15,000 a month.

They know that they are going home so, like the devil, the Demonic Lying Party knows their time is short so they will run around and do everything to line their pockets.

This group WILL NEVER WALK INTO THE HoA again, mark my words

Piece….that is indeed good news….let them go work for the Cows, Bizzys, Maloneys, Bjerkhams, Parris’ and Harris’….the same parasites they believe are better than the majority population.

And don’t forget…another piece of scum politician Lionel Craig boasted he will never be broke again…back in the 70s, he is now dust and paid for his mouth.
