Taxpayers Owed by Bernie Weatherhead, a Member of the Money Class
Barbadians continue to wait for 2013 Tax Refunds deep well into 2015 because government is cash strapped. A big problem for government is revenue leakage; many individuals who owe government are delinquent. Surprisingly, among the list of defaulters are prominent names who continue to be handed government contracts.
What ever happened to the debts owed by REDJET? Is it fair to ask REDJET directors if they plan to repay VAT, PAYE and NIS owed? And what about the employees and members of the public who are always forgotten when companies collapse? Local entrepreneur Bizzy Williams was associated with REDJET until he bailed from the REDJET Board when he read the signs. Many believe Bizzy’s move caused Burn’s heart to beat faster than normal eventually causing a heart attack!

Another rich local entrepreneur government who has been handed significant business (opportunities) by government is Bernie Weatherhead. BU is curious the yardstick used by government to shortlist vendors. TIA Holdings Ltd (TIA), a company which Bernie Weatherhead represented as a board member is reported to be in debt to the National Insurance Board (NIB) the sum of $1,018,051.54 made up of $345,775.51 and interest of $672,240.03. How is it Caribbean Financial Services Corporation held a Debenture/Mortgage over the assets of TIA and miraculously a request to the NIB has recommended accepting $50,000 from Weatherhead (about 1/8 of the contributions owed by the company)? Where are the assets of the company? The scenario with Bernie AND Bizzy shows how the political class (100% Black) is manipulated at will by the money class.

Red Jet Operations commenced on May 10, 2011. The posted document says that the monies owed by TIA were debts incurred prior to 2000. What is the connection between TIA and Red Jet? There is a span of 11 years between the TIA debt and the Red Jet start up on May 10, 2011.

what does not make any sense whatsoever is why is Bernie Weatherhead is proposing to pay the measly sum of $50K but is seeking a full and absolute release for himself, can you explain?
Also, surely the NIS should be just as concerned with who actually is the actual owner(s) of TIA. My own suspicion is that Bernie is the owner of TIA and this is just a easy/circuitous way of avoiding the financial obligations as a director and owner of TIA.

Yeah, both Bizzy and Weatherhead are known conmen, as soon as Bizzy/Cow see a scam going south, like the 4 seasons scam, they bail and pretend they are victims then successfully get the government DLP/BLP to take taxpayer’s hard earned cash to bail them out or use the taxpayer’s money as collateral 4 seasons again…..been happening for years, all the local minorities on the island are fully appraised of and part-take of that scam.

I don’t understand what this post is about, other than general criticism of “people with money”.
The NIS Board paper makes it quite clear that there is no Court action which can be taken to recover the unpaid NIS. Weatherhead is offering to pay $50,000 which is his “share” bearing in mind that there were 8 directors.
Give the guy a break. Maybe you should ask why the NIS let the unpaid amount climb to $350,000 or whether the other directors have offered to pay their share?

David , we are to lead the way we behave, All need to pay taxes and some taxes and the system of taxes are not fair nor right , Most of Barbados need not be on the tax roll, UDC and another Fraud and Ponzi was to move people from land rent to land tax, All of that is fraud by the government ,

All persons, businesses and other entities in Barbados that are being falsely inanely reported by which ever local media and non-media sources, as owing any TAX departments of the government of this once fair land, “Taxes”, must NOT EVER ANY LONGER be seen by any reasonable persons to be at whatever times handing over a blind cent of their remunerations, or providing any financial credits of theirs to these thieving robbing TAX Departments of this thieving robbing government of this country, on some false deception and pretence that they owe such to the government.
What madness would such be for them to be doing such.
TAXATION is Theft, Theft is Evil, TAXATION is Evil.
Nobody owes a wretched bloody thief – as in any of these TAX departments, and, furthermore, as in this criminal thieving robbing government any remuneration properties any financial credits of theirs, that these thieving robbing TAX departments and this TAX thieving robbing government have not been able to steal and rob as yet.

For the 8 th Commandment, in Genesis, in the King James Version of the Holy Bible that thousands upon thousands of people here in Barbados believe, reads: “Thou Shall Not Steal”, and this is exactly what this and other backward odious DLP governments, the other criminal thieving robbing BLP governments had been doing for years in this country, and all other inhuman barbarous governments of Barbados have been doing, when TAXING the remunerations and the financial credits (the latter a relatively recent happening) of the relevant people, businesses and other entities.

And, so contrary to the falsity inanity that government is cash strapped substantially because of revenue (?) leakage (imagine the absence of something is thought to cause something else!), the government is realistically significantly able to come by less and less money NOT ONLY as a result of Taxation, BUT ALSO because of Taxation.
These are the total absolute unrivalled unalloyed unvarnished social scientific facts!!
For these evil wicked destructive DLP and BLP governments prefer to criminally steal and rob the relevant people, businesses and other entities of what are countless portions of their own financial remunerations and financial credits, than to make sure that they make greater uses of the academic intellectual technical technological vocational skills services of those persons coming under the auspices aegis of the government of Barbados, the assets and the buildings they control – the land spaces within their ambit – the foreign commodity investment markets that they know much about – under whatever commercial investment productive programs – to altogether greatly assist them, the governmental dispensation and by extension the general country in the providing of commercial products and services to hordes of local and foreign people who would also be otherwise providing money and credits (and their other related expression – remunerations, savings, costs, expenditures, credits, etc) to them – and far more than they have been doing over the years.
