In Barbados, how often have we heard of the Church covering wrong doings from the public? They engage in adultery, fornication and other practices which are suppose to be frowned on by Christian minded people. Recently, we heard about an elder at one of the Seventh Day Adventist Church who paid to send a woman who was impregnated by his son to the USA. This was done to remove the embarrassment which the unwed girl who was known to be the girl friend of the elder’s son. One year later, the two returned to the flock after getting married in the USA. They all lived happily ever after.
We don’t intend to judge people on how they choose to live their lives, whether Christians or Heathens. However, we think it is the duty of all right thinking citizens to demand that the Church in our societies practice transparency. If it becomes known that ANY Church is engaged in activities which counter the teaching of the Church, or conflict with the expectations of the wider society, we believe that it should be questioned and exposed to the public. For example, over the years the Catholic Church has been exposed as a denomination which has perpetrated sexual abuse on its congregation by priests who had sworn to be celibate. It is only in recent years that the public has muster up the courage to speak-out on the issue of homosexuality and sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Many men walking around today have had to live with the scares caused by the sexual abuse of Catholic priest!
If we appear to be scathing in our criticism of the Church be assured that it is deliberate. The Church in the history of mankind has always played a pivotal role in developing our societies. In ancient societies, the First Estate of the Realm was the clergy! Image our horror when we read of yet another sordid episode; this time perpetrated by the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

THE wife of vile vowed to stand by her man yesterday. Porter, 38, who abused a baby and 12 other young boys, was released by a soft judge last month.The Sun tracked him down to his new home, near where he strolled hand in hand with loyal wife Joanne. The couple mingled with shoppers — including children — in Edgware, North London.A family friend said: “Joanne says she married Michael for better or worse.
“He is a changed man and she is proud to be seen out and about with him. Her love will save him.”
But a shocked mum who saw Porter out shopping said: “He should be swinging on the end of a rope, not walking the streets as a free man. He’s a disgrace.” Porter is still a Jehovah’s Witness and calls at the homes of local people unaware of his sick past to promote the faith.
Joanne’s loyalty mirrors that of the wife of disgraced actor Chris Langham who was jailed for ten months on Friday for possessing child porn.

A judge showed mercy after reading a moving letter from the star’s wife Chrissie, 54. Porter — a ministerial servant to Jehovah’s Witness church elders in Clevedon, Somerset — molested boys by putting his hands down their trousers in “playfights”. One victim was interfered with as he slept in bed while another woke to find Porter on top of him. He abused the boys — aged from 18 months to seven — when he was trusted to act as a babysitter, take kids camping and host sleepovers. Porter — supported in court by Joanne — carried out the attacks over a 14-year period in the 1980s and ’90s.
Judge Tom Crowther caused outrage when he spared him jail for 24 counts of indecent assault and gross indecency after hearing he had undergone therapy.
We will continue to expose the smelly underbelly of wrongdoing any where we sniff it.

Hey, wunna hear another scandal breaking in the US with another televeangelist, Richard Roberts of Oral Roberts University? Dis one like it got de works – tiefin de supporters’ hard earned money to support millionaire lifestyles, using non-profit ORU staff to engage in illegal political work and hints of impropriety between Robert’s wife and “underage males”. She was allegedly sending them cell phone text messages between 1 and 3 am. No doubt she was just sending them encouraging Bible verses and uplifting thoughts etc. , but why she would wait to do it until the wee hours of the morning is, for now, something of a mystery.

There’s no doubt that the Catholic church has had it’s share of sexual scandals over the years. But to take a brush and stroke (no pun intended) all churches is unfair. Furthermore, I do not think than unsaved, non church-going people are in a position to criticize the church. Such people are in trouble with GOD and in my view, should focus their energies on making it right with Him prior to departure from this earth. Let Jesus take care of His church for which He sacrificed His life. Unsaved people didn’t die for the church. Thus, should mind their own business.
Has anyone heard of the “Little Lambs” or sthg similar (Silent Lambs)??
This organiztion was started in the USA by a disenchanted J.W. elder on account the impropriety and abuse of young boys and girls – too often also by Witness- Elders, and such-like: whose Bible-trained conscience’ and being in ‘a Spiritual Paradise’ and under “Theocratic GUidance” should…SHOULD have had them know better – act differently – from so many sickos in society.
Here (South Africa) in a somewhat sad and very racially-charged case a white J.W. ‘Bible Student’ fed one of his Black!! domestic workers to a pride of lions on or near his farm.. in this incident tho; he fortunately WAS charged! Now: to that I say, “Jah Jehovah God be praised!” Amen?

i mean to emphasize and be categorical – the CRIME of this crazy dude was punished ! GREAT!! He was sentenced to a prison term: that is what i said: not derisively but in all sincerity: Jah be praised. Is that clear?
