The following is reblogged from the Caribbean Empowerment websiteDavid, Barbados Underground

By A. T. Freeman

The inhuman savagery of Israel’s genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza has shocked the conscience of millions of people around the world, including in the Caribbean. From a policy of deliberate starvation and blocking access to water to bombing hospitals and ambulances, even going so far as killing thousands of children, Israel’s crimes have had no limits.

As a result, millions have come to understand the true nature of the state of Israel. This has been particularly so in the Caribbean, where for many years, there has been widespread confusion and misunderstanding that the current state of Israel is somehow connected to Biblical Israel.

Much of this confusion is the result of the deliberate campaign of disinformation that has been spread by the Zionist movement and its supporters, some of whom occupy prominent positions within Christian churches across the region. First, it is necessary to understand that the Zionist movement is a political movement that emerged in 19th century Europe in response to the centuries long practice in that continent of persecuting followers of the Jewish religion. This tendency towards persecuting people on the basis of their religion is not unique to Europe but it was certainly very strong there. However, it is also important to note that in other regions of the world, including Ethiopia, North Africa, the Middle East, India and Iran for example, followers of Judaism were not subjected to the type of persecution that was common in Europe.

    BREAKING:

MOSCOW, June 17 (Reuters) – The Kremlin said on Monday a remark by NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg that the military alliance was holding talks on deploying more nuclear weapons was an “escalation of tension”.

Stoltenberg told Britain’s Telegraph newspaper that NATO members were consulting about deploying more nuclear weapons, taking them out of storage and placing them on standby in the face of a growing threat from Russia and China.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Stoltenberg’s comments appeared to contradict a communique issued at a weekend conference in Switzerland that said any threat or use of nuclear weapons in the Ukraine context was inadmissible.

The talks, held at the behest of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, were billed as a “peace summit” although Moscow was not invited.
“This is nothing but another escalation of tension,” Peskov said of the NATO secretary general’s remarks.

  3. Next time you meet you Pastor ask him explain why all over Eastern & Western Europe God is portrayed as Black, whereas in the Americas( including the Caribbean) the opposite exist- God is portrayed as a European with blonde hair and blue eyes.

In Europe ,the UK is a an exemption , the racist Leukadermas in that country destroyed most if not all the original images & replaced them with European FAKES.

  4. Israel’s moral defeat

ONE OF THE INTRIGUING FEATURES of the current moment of global struggle against imperialism is how collective world consciousness has shifted against Israel’s claims to control of Palestine.

While the 1948 Zionist project which established Palestinian territory as a Jewish homeland had always been reluctantly accepted as a fact of Western global power rather than as a legitimate right, there had never been a sustained political movement specifically organised for rejecting Israel’s claims.

Indeed, one of the main differences between South Africa’s anti-apartheid struggle and the counterpart Palestinian struggle against the Zionist occupation, was the former’s capacity to birth a global movement, while the latter had remained largely a Middle Eastern issue.

What then are the factors which explain why Israel has suffered an irreversible moral defeat and why Israel can no longer continue to act with impunity towards colonised Palestine?

One explanation remains the inability of powerful centres to control narratives in the age of the cell phone and the Internet. Undoubtedly, since 1948 the Palestinian people have suffered crimes and indignities far worse than the ones that have come to light since October 2023. However, under the ubiquitous glare of the phone screen, actions that might have previously been hidden in the shadows are now being revealed to light.

As these words were being written, the BBC was reporting another atrocity, complete with video images: a wounded Palestinian being paraded through the streets, tied to the bonnet of an Israeli military vehicle – either a human shield or more probably an act of terror to intimidate psychologically the already overburdened people. It has become increasingly difficult for global populations to “unsee” the daily images of massacred women and children, blownup buildings, and lines of emaciated and waterdeprived people scavenging through rubble for survival. Further compounding the problem is Israel’s deafness to the global mood, and its inability or unwillingness to communicate humanely or respectfully about Palestinian lives in their global media appearances. So used have the Israeli military been to tacit acceptance of their tactic of “overwhelming response”, that they are unable to reveal the slightest hint of humanity towards their victims. The failure of Israel to convert the rest of the world to its perspective is the clearest sign of its moral defeat.

After moral, comes political defeat. Already, most states have voted to recognise Palestine as a state, and the International Criminal Court has formally accused Israel of war crimes.

Israel has always maintained its occupation of Palestine through violence and force, with Western help. Today, with the growing protests of domestic populations against complicit governments, it will be impossible for Israel to continue in the old way.

Israel can only survive through a campaign of total annihilation of the Palestinian people. Only the organised vigilance of the world’s population can prevent such an outcome.
