The best thing that has happened for the masses in hundreds of years are the fights currently raging amongst global elites. These fights are most evident in the political theatres. However, underlying those manifestations are economic quarrels, food fights – the 0.01 percenters want it all! Whether in Barbados or the United States the political elites are, as a class, innately evil and now that they have declared an open, brutal, warfare, amongst themselves, we must throw gasoline on their fires and let them blame each other for our actions.
This cannot be a time to sit back and ring one’s hands, hoping that some third party will emerge or for some magical appearance of a Twelfth Imam, Mahdi. This is the time for concerted civic action aimed at destroying the failed political structures. Ours are the kinds of actions which will hasten the arrival of ‘Jesus’ and his companions. This is not a Mannequin logic. It is well-informed by John Adams (Barbados may have given the world Tom Adams as a ‘political animal’) and Niccolo Machiavelli. Intellectual weapons of war have been used against us for a long time. Total warfare must mean using the enemies’ tools against them, on all sides.
In Barbados, both the BLP and the DLP have reached their natural limits. Neither them, nor the foreign systems they impose, can go any further. Mercy therefore requires putting them out of their misery. And we should not be too concerned as to what we are to replace them with. For that position surrenders too much undeserved respect to a system disrespectful of the collective intelligence of the people. Having said that, they must know that we have already posited a credit union model of government from the cabinet to the village council meeting under a tree. A flat system where no one surrenders and no one demands a one-way flow of respect based on any, any preconditions. One where there are NO political parties and where a few signatures can remove any public official in short order and where no decisions are made without public involvement, as central. None! Constant sunlight is the only remedy to persistent, unremitting, mal-administration.Like a good cooperative the leadership should live in constant fear of citizens/members as a counterbalance to their natural propensity to do evil to goodly people.
It must be clear to the pedants, by now, that Bizzy Williams, Cow William, Cahill Energy or any other of the economic or barely economically elite could send ‘their’ elected representatives to parliament, with the insistence of the senior civil servants, to legislate money for them, the corporate elites. It must be also clear that we, the public, have no government. That government is for the rich and well-connected, paid for by the rich and well-connected, aided and abetted by criminal civil servants who have always betrayed public trust. You should have known that senior civil servants have always been on the payroll of corporatists.
Notions that the son of a man who Errol Barrow once called the ‘corporate undertaker of Barbados’ could want to insult us with some kind of business culture transplantation into party politics and government, is adding insult to injury, and represents a gross misreading of this historical moment. It is a level of ignorance mixed with arrogance hithertofore unknown to mankind. We have already had too much of this. In fact, it is the ultra neo-liberal, Washington Consensus, misguidance of Owen Arthur, and his minions like ‘Hillary’ Beckles and the BLP which accelerated our being here, underdevelopment on steroids is the order of the day. And there is no way out, short of a genuine global revolution of all systems. All!
We are left in wonder, hope and fear that the most inept government ever, in all of Amexem, as headed by Fruendel Stuart, could continue in office, against the general sentiment of much of the population and there can be no public tactical or strategic response except through a part of that very government in the persons of the BLP, and its leader. The people of Barbados are checkmated. Further that that elected dictatorship could presume, with a questionable numerical majority, to be the government of Barbados, until they feel like calling an election reminds us of slavery. Tel us how is this system, which is holding the people of Barbados in political bondage, dissimilar to chattel slavery or indentureship? When these evils pretend to fight evil, we must blame all sides for our national, socio-economic, conditions and aid their mutual destruction while hindering any pathways for counter-revolutionaries like Grenville Phillips to emerge. For governmental malpractice, Fruendel Stuart himself, is worthy of hard labour and prison or worse.
In the United States, we have a wonderful opportunity to act locally but make a global impact as we inspire our enemies to destroy themselves. There may be more Bajans in NYC than Barbados. It is this external supporter of the DLP regime which aids the local enemies of the people. The fires burning on the decks of both parties must be made to, at least, destroy the Republicans, as a national party. How could it be possible, with all its socially destructive past actions, that this institution could now impose on us the protégé of Roy Cohn? Roy Cohn the McCarthyist prosecutor, communist witch-hunter of the Rosenbergs, in the person of Donald Trump. American fascism at work, generationally – we hear. We have opined about the DNC, the Obama administration and their long-lasting failures previously.
Let’s keep our eyes on the ball. We have also argued previously that there are no measurable differences between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, that they are equal evils, but one maybe emerging. We detect that Mrs. Clinton maybe more conscious of how ‘wickedly great’ the real people who control American systems are. She knows that these are the people you don’t f-with. The country was constructed in certain ways to forever derail the aspirations of the masses, through open violence if necessary. She knows well that these hidden hands killed JFK and are the planners of all the wickedness America does at home and abroad. Trump may have a clue but vastly underestimates the power of Satan, living amongst us. Unfortunately, the glimmer of goodness in Sanders leads him to ‘believe’, naively, that he can threaten these people thinking that they will not kill him, he is wrong. America was built on a wickedness which must be fought but that cause cannot rest on fanciful notions. Sanders must know, and the historical evidence is clear, that these forces killed Malcolm X, JFK, RFK and MLK. Not to talk about all the other African-American leaders like Fred Hampton and Indian-American and Puerto-Rican independence activists murdered to stop popular movements bent towards social justice. The addition of the British completes a description of the root of global evil.
Matt Damon speaks eloquently about the kind of interdependence and RADICALISM needed. He is no intellectual giant and has, through his work, supported the same forces he now sneers at. As an activist, he speaks against them and is saying some of the right things. We well know that the petite-bourgeois in Barbados, and even many poor, foolish people turn they noses up when certain words are used. This time, mere survival depends on revolutionary involvement, and revolution does not necessarily require violence. There are no other or easy options left. Your life may depend on it! When evil fights evil, we inherit the world we leave to others.
