The world is looking on in horror at an act of terrorism in Paris, France that has seen 43 people reported dead so far. Surely a heinous act against humanity. […]Speculation is rife ISIS is the group behind the act which has forced the French government to close its borders.

you remind me of a fellow at HC we use to call Flatman. He was feared at lunchtime when bruise was played. Accept that Trump was right and that while he might not be suitable as President, he is no fool. That said Clinton seems headed for victory.

  2. @ “balance” to be remonikored , DISEQUILIBRIUM
Your analysis of the Dems was excellent and then U wrote,”The poor slate of candidates on the Republican side ensures her an easy victory in the upcoming presidential race.”

Please tell us U are not serious. Trump,Cruz will SHRED Hil with her lies/ emails/ Benghazi! She is probably the WORST Sec of State ever! Trump has his immature moments regrettably, he needs to stop his childishness.

I trust the Dems take these Reps lightly, the People are fed up. Hil has the advantage of being Female and many women want a female Pres even if she is an absolute FAILURE/ joker Sec of State.

  3. Ping Pong

Strangely your memory of Flatman is incongruent with reality. This chap never in my observation played with malice/ viciousness and was one of the kinder, gentler taller fellas.

I certainly would not trust Hil with the Presidency but Americans and the average voter globally, are not too clever. No surprise that Democracy is totally inferior to Benevolent Dictatorship a la Singapore.

  4. ” viciousness, malice”?!! Perish the thought. Try “passion” or “cojones” or ” joie de vivre” . That was a time when boys were truly being made into men. “If yuh bad come pun de small field at lunch!” No whining allowed. The only thing that could save yuh was “Tank coming”.

You could be right my memory could be incongruent with reality. LOL.

  5. saw chris Christie on fox yesterday, sounds presidential to bad he isn’t getting the votes

  6. By the way…how else could one play bruise if not with malice and viciousness?

  7. @PP

One always has the choice of playing Bruise at full power or a somewhat muted applied force. Some intended to maim and yet others did not.

    @Lawson
Christie is quite competitive but it will be difficult for him to supplant Trump, Carson since they are positively viewed as DC outsiders. Cruz is the guy to debate Hil, I would pay to see dat.

  8. Clinton–“thorough vetting process” Jokes haha. Impossible in Syria BEFORE the civil war there! Totally ridiculous and a prime example of why she was a useless Secty of State. The highest probability of bringing in good refugees is vetting those who have been in camps in Jordan and observed as Christians or minority families. These people should be vetted first anyway. How could anyone vote for a PROVEN FAILURE.

Money….there would not be any let up in bloodletting, if Clinton makes it to the WH.

Not surprising….Guadeloupe and Martinique are very vulnerable, right now they are fortunate to be french departments. That is what I was speaking about the vulnerability of other Caribbean islands that are basically on their own, but would their leaders is it as such..

  11. We have potential terrorists ie 5 Syrians with false passports getting caught in Honduras, 3 stopped in St Maarten, 6 from Afghanistan/ Pakistan caught in Arizona having crossed from Mexico. (Trump et al were/ are wrong about the border????????????)

Trump was wrong to make it sound that all Mexicans are bad. He can not be wrong about securing the border in some way and getting rid of criminals from south of the border. Illegal immigration is ILLEGAL! BO promised to sort Illegal Immigration within his first year, 2009, and had a majority in the House and Senate—what happened? Needed the Latin votes???

  12. I often wonder how a bald dic head like trump can states nonsenical utterances about immigrants .

  13. @ac
    What about his?

BO promised to sort Illegal Immigration within his first year, 2009, and had a majority in the House and Senate—what happened? Needed the Latin votes???

  14. @Moneybrain
I am quite sure my learned friend Moneybrain and his associates can answer this question which have been troubling me since the terrorist attack in French?

Question: how is it that parents cannot get the socially marginalized youths, in the inner-cites of Europe and America to take out the garbage, but a recruiter from Isis can convince them to strap a bomb around their waist and kill themselves, as well as innocent people?

What pisses me off about Trump is he’s 3rd generation American, with his family originating from Scotland, everyone knows that Scotland never was a rich country, but these fools think they own a country because they live in it. So too did the dude Madison Grant who started the Eugenics program in the US, I don’t think he was even born in the US back in the 1700s, he too was from Scotland it has to be a disease of the mind, as usual.

  16. @Domps already answered Nov 18th 5.37pm

That is why they focus on miscreants who are criminals in prison, where they have time to cultivate them by giving them the opportunity to redeem their useless lives and working for Allah! Excellent brainwashing!

“Eugenics, the set of beliefs and practices which aims at improving the genetic quality of the human population[2][3] played a significant role in the history and culture of the United States prior to its involvement in World War II.[4]

Eugenics was practised in the United States many years before eugenics programs in Nazi Germany[5] and U.S. programs provided much of the inspiration for the latter.[6][7][8] Stefan Kühl has documented the consensus between Nazi race policies and those of eugenicists in other countries, including the United States, and points out that eugenicists understood Nazi policies and measures as the realization of their goals and demands.[9]

During the Progressive Era of the late 19th and early 20th century, eugenics was considered[by whom?] a method of preserving and improving the dominant groups in the population; it is now generally associated with racist and nativist elements[citation needed] (as the movement was to some extent a reaction to a change in emigration from Europe) rather than scientific genetics.”

To understand what is happening now, one has to read from the same books as Trump, et al

“Between 1928 and 1936, a number of European nations also passed sterilization laws, including Denmark (1929), Germany (1933), Sweden and Norway (1934), Finland and Danzig (1935), and Estonia (1936). All of these laws, according to Dr. Marie Kopp, who toured Germany studying the administration of Nazi Sterilization laws for the American Eugenics Society in 1935, were modeled and inspired by American efforts.(4)

Furthermore, the American and German eugenicists were particularly close in ideology. Germans and Americans regularly translated each others literature, and the German movement was closely followed in the American eugenics press.

In June of 1936, Heidelberg University planned a celebration in honor of its 550th anniversary. Harry Laughlin, the author of Eugenical Sterilization in the United States, was offered an honorary degree in recognition of his services to eugenics.(5) Laughlin wrote that he would be glad to accept ‘not only as a personal honor, but as evidence of the common understanding of German and American scientists of the nature of eugenics as research in and the practical application of those fundamental biological and social principles which determine racial endowments and the racial health… of future generations.'(6)

The American and German eugenics movements were one in ‘the identification of human beings as valuable, worthless, or of inferior value in supposedly hereditary terms.’ As one authority has noted, this ‘was the common denominator of all forms of Nazi racism.’ Eugenics was synonymous with ‘race hygiene,’ and its most fundamental program was to purify the ‘race’ of ‘low grade’ and ‘degenerate’ groups. Thus, American and European eugenicists created a generic racism and sexism – the genetically inferior. Not surprisingly, the victims always turned out to be the traditional victims of racism – Jews, Blacks, women, and the poor.(7)”

And if you can understand the philosophy is still being used today and understand the families who financially backed these movements eg. The Rockefeller Foundation, etc, you understand the level and length of these conspiracies.

  19. @WW
Many are unaware that certain elites in the US met secretly in the 1930s to explore taking the US over and converting to a Nazi style state.

With the intransigence in DC maybe the only way to make progress in the near future is a “revolution” in thinking. It should be relatively easy Solve properly identified problems of which there are many that are obvious like Education for a Tech World, Health, Race Relations. etc

It sounds great in theory, Money, and should be the way forward, but these people are going forward with their plans created in another era just listen to Dumb Trump, and there goes Hilary with her own agenda, so it’s left to others to try to carry out the problem solving, etc, fortunately, there are 3 branches of government, so all might not be lost.

A lot of people don’t know the depth of involvement in the Nazi era of the culprits, some long dead, some still alive with ther air of pretentious respectability, but don’t think for one moment that they are not passing on the ideology for later implementation, if it’s not feasible to carry out at this time.

  22. Terror in Paris? Let come home to terror in Bridgetown
Look how Bjerkman made an ass out of the Barbados High Courts as well as the CCJ. After spending 17 years fighting the Australian “Lettuce ” man for the plantation, and making a down payment on it, now that the CCJ has ruled in his favour , and the farmer has dismantled his business and sold it off at scrap value, Bjerkman is no longer interested in securing the land . Was the object of this exercise to shut down the farmer.
And our politicians remain dumb on these insipid matters.
Be very careful that this kind of action does not give root to our own Boca Haram in Barbados and the Caribbean.

David…..Uninformed Trinis involvement in the middle east takes this to a whole nother level for the Caribbean.

  24. Terrorist returning to Tdad or any Nation should be arrested at the border and charged with Treason, they are Traitors. Any nation that can not accomplish this for legal reasons needs to change that law immediately.

Bloody idiots in Canada stopped such a clown from going to the ME fight Nov 2014, and he murdered a Ceremonial Soldier, unarmed on Parliament Hill and then they had to shoot him in the Parliament Buildings. These “leaders” only care about Votes not the people, until the horse has bolted through the gate and they appear very incompetent, as they are. Time to imprison some incompetent “leaders”.

Colonel…..it’s a travesty that I hope the Chief Justice as well as the CCJ can protect the two courts from going forward, that shithead maliciously put people out of work just to prove a point and those shithounds for government ministers cannot open their corrupt mouths.

Money….thanks for highlighting and defining the true meaning of the word treason for politicians in Barbados, because they do not know.

“We also have Trinis fighting for ISIL. When they return what happens?”

You forgot to add that we also have a number of our neighbours openly selling citizenships to Muslims from the Gulf states and throughout the Middle East region.

We need to demand an immediate end to this policy. It is imperative that we pressure those Caribbean countries who have gone done this route to revoke the citizenship of these desperadoes.

Here are the words of Gaston Browne, Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister:

“ We have informed in writing several of our allied countries… about this initiative and have reassured them of the integrity of our programme and the safeguards we have introduced to protect their national security interests.”

  27. @ David,

I seem to remember not so very long ago, one of our esteem Ministers being on the point of stepping down from his cabinet position if our Prime Minister refused to accept monies from the UAE – which was probably being used as a bargaining tool – in order to rid Barbados of her debts.

What was the outcome of this story? More to the point what was the bargaining tool for this generous offer? I would put cash for citizenship at the top of my list. Our Caribbean region is in grave peril.

  28. Well Well & Consequences Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences

Under the present middle east circumstances, these citizenship agreements make a mockery of small islands security.

  29. I understand that someone close to Govt had a contact in the ME who promised to invest a few $Billion in Bim, the contacts arrived but the PM et al refused to meet, why? They did not want Citizenship but maybe were well acquainted with Extortion/ bribes?

  30. @Exclaimer

The government and Estwick has gone silent on the UAE proposal.

    JAs

  31. The Prime Minister has assured the nation all available intelligence will be used to keep Barbados safe.

    O shiiirt!

  32. Hopefully not the same available “Intelligence” being used and abused in the last few years!

Money….Fruendel and his gang might be, according to you, extortionists and as we know from Canadian Cow-an, scam artists, but we should know they are not brave enough to go toe to toe with those badass dudes from anywhere in the middle east, just the thought is enough to leave them shaking..lol. never heard anything more about the Russian/4 Seasons deal either, they probably came to the realization that those leagues were way too big for them. I was hoping they would engage the Russians, for obvious reasons…lol.

It’s not so much the ministers/politicians worrying about the security of the island or people, it’s more about what would happen to their self-serving selves if they cross anyone from ME or Russia.

  34. Manhunt for Caribbean bombmaker in Paris attacks

A Caribbean national known as Mohammed K is said to be wanted as the suspect who created the suicide bombs used in last Friday’s deadly attacks in Paris.

  35. Pity he could not have used his brains for enhancing himself and country.

RIP Mo K if the hunters have an IQ over 95, U are a Walking Dead. Too dangerous to keep alive.

  36. Yeap right in our backyard and the voices against immigration well your own calls might come back yo bite you in the arse if you insist. the seldom heard of a carribbean native involved with terrorist activity might answer the calls of those who opposed to freedom of movement/ by way of immigration.

  37. Russia only starting to lash ISIS, they were hitting the rebels on behalf of Assad before.

These ISIS animals are poor parents, saw a lil kid being trained to cut off the head of his Teddy Bear with a humongous knife. Women have no rights and the foolish ones that go to ISIS areas are forced to become sex slaves as a reward to the fighters.

Allah will soon take retribution of mammoth proportions.

  38. Trinis going to Syria should be charge for Treason on their return.

Has Trinidad and Tobago declared war on ISIS/ Syria, or deemed ISIS/Syria an enemy of the state. Has ISIS/Syria, or these rebel Trinis, declared war on Trinidad and Tobago? A charge of treason would be hard to apply.

How about the British Army who came down to Barbados in in the early 1960’s and recruited quite a few young men, many of whom ended up in Aden in the Middle East, fighting the same Wogs. Should we not have charged these Barbadians on their return to Barbados years later, with treason , or as Mercenaries?

  39. @David
We also have Trinis fighting for ISIL. When they return what happens?
    +++++++++
The T&T Gov’t may be forced to take action if they want to remain good friends with the USA but given that Abu Bakr was able to walk after the 1990 coup we shouldn’t hold out hope.

At least David Rudder penned one of the best social commentaries from those days.

  40. @MoneyBrain November 19, 2015 at 4:57 PM “Terrorist returning to Tdad or any Nation should be arrested at the border and charged with Treason, they are Traitors. Any nation that can not accomplish this for legal reasons needs to change that law immediately.”

    Agreed.

  41. @Dompey November 18, 2015 at 5:07 PM “There is something very wrong here because I can’t even get my sons to take the garbage out.”

Dear Domps: If they won’t take the garbage out you should not take it out either. Just leave it there until “creepers” start to walk all over the kitchen floor.

And you should NEVER give youngsters money for doing household chores. They live there. They have to do their fair share of the housework.

If you are too soft they will treat you like an unpaid maid, or like how ISIS wants to treat the “West”

    Be tough early.

    Be tough consistently.

  42. @Sargeant, shouldn’t the T&T Gov’t be concerned first and foremost about their own continued existence from those returning soldiers and the US friendship afterwards? Because of Abu Bakr there can be no missteps made on this matter.

With respect to the coup leader he never properly paid penance for his illegal actions so frankly I cannot conceive how the Homeland Security folks in T&T could be sleeping easy with soldiers radicalized to ISIS jihad back in country back under his fold.

Do they have weaponry? What ‘trigger’ will push them to foment further anarchy in a country already roiled with violent criminality?

Were I the responsible minister then surely arrest and detention for all returning ISIS/Syria bound personnel. That under the statue power of National Security.

@Colonel Buggy November 19, 2015 10:51 PM, surely you are not serious! How do you equate a soldier recruited with the acceptance of his government and one recruited to fight for an organization that is likely recognized under international conventions (to which I presume T&T are signatories) as a terrorist group?

So is the question whether T&T has declared war on ISIS/ Syria, or rather if ISIS has declared war on all infidels and thus on the country and people of T&T? A charge of treason or at minimum a charge of a threat to national security seems reasonable to apply to me under those circumstances.

Every country has to do what is best for it to safeguard its rule of law and its citizens. T&T is the worst placed in the region and they need to deal with this threat in very strong, decisive terms.

  43. When the civil war escalated in syria in the early stages the USA govt had a golden opportunity to undertake actions with preemptive measures in search of military arsenal which was already known to be used in the killing of the syrian people by the syrian govt ,the USA back down on the advice of Putin political advances charging repercussions to be brought with his intervention.
Now what has transpired is the bearing of more bitter fruit with the USA govt having no choice but to hold whilst having to open the gate for million of innocent civilians including the wicked arms of the terrorist.
The fact being that the Obama administration failure to act is now the out flow of action by ISIS who never miss any opportunity to activate its deadly terror on innocent lives

  44. What I would love to see is …suicide bomber dies thinking he was was changing the channel on the remote
Its funny you can get people to call the police if the neighbours dog is barking to loud , their tree is hanging over your yard etc but not when you see 8 people you have never seen before heading in an apt with big cans marked fertilizer.

  45. Lawson

In bad hoods you are signing your very own death warrant if U call the Police, better to disappear first and call second. The problem is that these badasses are not being properly held to account by the Justice system. Indeed, badasses are being created by our poorly lead Western countries where the populace is encouraged, from childhood, to do as they want without appropriate discipline at home, school or by societal values.

When one studies certain countries like Singapore, China, Sth Korea et al, one quickly appreciates the West is in very deep trouble from a multitude of perspectives eg discipline, education, work ethic, etc. The West must stop the overly liberal BS or face the reality of a much lower standard of living. The average American has made no net financial headway for at least 20+ yrs.

  46. Did U see the video with the African chap who was with his son at the Stade de France and one suicide bomber detonated about 30 ft away, lucky as hell, Or the woman at the restaurant had the gun pointed at her within inches and it jammed. Incredible.
