The death of Abijah Holder-Philips which occurred at the entrance/exit of Coverley to the ABC Highway will soon be forgotten EXCEPT for his parents and close circle of friends and family. Many continue to question the protrusion from Coverley which encroaches on the shoulder of the highway. Should we expect a statement from Chief Town Planner Mark Williams to explain why the Coverley Exit to the Highway was approved? #Mark Maloney

Here is a video captured by a member of the BU community of the funny looking arrangement.

    Cuh Dear…. give Alvin a break….
Wuh no one has to know his background in order to deduce that the man is retarded…
One just has to read ANYTHING that he has posted…
But you must know that it takes ALL types to make the world…and somehow David seems able to maintain the correct proportion of idiots and morons on BU.
…AND BESIDES….Alvin has a book on AMAZON …..something about how Jesus never wore underwear (or some such shiite….) 🙂

…so give him a break SSS. Alvin is only playing his part on the world stage….who else would take on that role of writing OBVIOUSLY stupid comments in support of everything that the DLP does….?

    …OH WAIT….AC would….!!!

…now THERE is a brass bowl idiot that DESERVES your special kind of attention… LOL
    ha ha ha
    Oh shiirrttt!!!

  6. The race card was dealt CENTURIES ago. The problem is it is still in existence. The race card will be played over and over again as long as the dealers refuse to deal fairly. They continue to use sleight of hand to keep all the aces for themselves. ACES FOR ALL RACES!

  7. Ha, ha, ha, oh my goodness, Bush Tea, your post is hilarious. But SSS, what Alvin did to you that has you so mad??? Go easy on him……..the dlp koolade has his brain messed up!

  8. @Donna
If the bribes come from white contractors, what colour are those that accept them? Who is robbing the taxpayer?
A woman blocks a watercourse, what does it matter what colour she is?
    Injustice comes in many shades.

  9. More in one shade than another.

  10. True, the taker of the bribes are usually black. But as usual they are just the puppets in the hands of the puppet masters.

  11. Divide and rule was always the motto of the puppet masters.

  12. there should be more road signs, I dont think the planners thought out the layout in detail. Drivers should be seeing signs such as merge or right of way or whatever, but no signs and drivers will feel they have the right of way to go, and thats how no one wants to merge or slow down or give the right of way.

  13. they need to be also signs that say slow down, stop sign coming up, but who ever did the planning on that road, they had to realize people will speed up, and dont wait until the other person cross over. Get some signs please.

  14. No bias or racism there then!
It really is high time that we stopped blaming everything wrong with Bajan society on race and slavery.
By your argument those taking or asking for a bribe are less culpable than those giving the bribe and should be excused because they are black and great great great granddaddy was a slave.
With that attitude there will be no progress in Barbados.
You ignore the salient point that the people employed by these evil white entrepreneurs are, guess what, black.
How many black workers are employed by those demanding and accepting bribes?

But I guess that as long as we are being shafted by a black politician it is ok and better than being employed by a white contractor.

He is a two face moron.I know a whole lot about this wannabe in charge old ass hypocrite who uses people to push his own personal agenda. But I will tarr his ass later.

I am sick of people who always crying down bajans. We are not perfect but we are the way that we are because the system has made us so. How the ass you expect bajans to drive with due care, when the system has created and still continue to create, all types of stressors on the road network with a myriad of bottle neck junctions, criss crosses and other shites that helps add to road rage. You expect with so many cars on poorly design roads that shit will not happen? Look at the configuration of merges from the hill from the polytechnic to Sol Gas station. There have been quite a few accidents there with one woman nearly losing her life because cars can hardly see pedestrians crossing in the corner just after passing Sol gast station at night. The crossing is not painted with illuminating paint. Plus the authorities felt all that is needed is just marks in the road without blinking lights on two sides of the crossing or better yet a stop light that would allow cars to stop at the red when pedestrains press the button. All these are not the fault of the pedestrian or motorist but the lack of proper planning by the state. The state’s planning is pathetic and it shows.

There is hardly any proper safety systems on the roads that would keep motorist alert and vigilant. You have the menacing ZR culture. Allowed to continue because of who own the vans. Yet simple controls such as speed cameras, designated bus lanes (well the infrastructure along the roads would not allow for that) etc have been uttered by many but the authority seems suffer from a hearing impaired problem. Who the ass at fault here! Who tell the authorities to build pedestrian walk over that no one uses except the lawless who see it as a convenience to throw objects at moving cars.

Society is only as good as its governance and what that governance do to make its citizens enjoy systems that work for one and all. Barbados is corrupt is shite and so there is a general neglect of those things that would help Barbados to become a better discipline society because we invest in things that hardly workd properly

And he talks about due care. Yes they should be due care but not wreckless corrupt governance that does not put mechanisms in place to ensure due care is always exercised.

He talks about he nearly hit a cyclist wearing black. How old is he again to be driving on the people road at night. I bet you he wears glasses too. Someone else with better vision would probably have seen the cyclist. But here again is another point. If the authorities were serious about road safety, all cyclist would be asked to wear some type of reflector clothing to help with visibility. He nearly hit the cyclist because his eye sight is not so good.

  18. I hope the deceased parents sue the ass off Maloney et al, that piecea shoite adjucting on the path of oncoming traffic NEEDS TO BE REMOVED NOW !Only a johnny clark like Maloney who now feels he owns Barbados would engineer such. Just look at the photo…how could the Govt allow such TRASH to be installed?

  19. @Sunshine Sunny Shine,

Abuse of the elderly by a person of your intellect is a waste of your time and energy.

Please ease up on those who have passed 3 score and 20. lol

It can only be wuflessness that this road hazard at Coverly has not been removed.
I could provide a solution in 24 hours. However there are hundreds of Bajans better qualified than me but they are probably “busy” or planning a strike.

  20. Palin cock

  21. Why can’t certain A-holes understand Coverley houses are dog houses which sensible Bajans want no part of. That piece-a stupid-ness will not lure Bajan to a SINKHOLE. Mark I hope they burn\pull them down as there are an insult to Bajans. Likewise bulldozer that adjunct that killed the 12 year old.SHAME ON YOU MALONEY ! (if U have any)

This is no shame on Maloney. This shame on those nasty bitches who intervene in the town and country planning doing their job. Also too I blame town and country planning until I get the facts. I blame the authorities responsible for road works and development until I get the facts. If you are in charge of a department and know that shite is being done by a contractor because the politicians are on his take. Stand up to the bitches if they are forcing you in a wrong direction. Do not condone shite implementation. These DLP lap dogs like Alvin Cummin would eat shite and defend shite no matter how the shite harming them.

  23. I am yet to find out what is the value of this garden in the highway. The plants planted along the wall to the left are sufficient.

But tell me something, how comes Chickmont was not given permission to have an entrance on the highway? They were not……………so you see how illogical the whole thing is?

Many years ago when we built our home, Town and Country Planning gave us stress……….demanding that the entrance to the property be changed and that separate permission had to be sought before we built the guard wall. In fact the then Town planner told us that our security could not be taken into consideration when he was doing his town planning. We had no choice but to comply.

One law for the Medes and another for the Persians!

  24. Coverley is a well planned community located in the wrong country, Bajans ain’t no part of the north american bullshit chicken coops. One child done DEAD already, I waiting to see how many other gine have to DEAD at the Coverely entrance before the idiots at MTW do the frigging jobs and remove that shiite obstacle from in the blasted road.

That is exactly my point. These bitches denied Chickmont on grounds that the operations there would pose a significant hazard, now several years later a stinking DLP administration can say its ok for their Wheel and Deal partner in profit, to build this shite that has already caused one death. And this old ass two face shite talking about due care. The only people that do not drive safe on the roads are ZRs, Taxi drivers and ignorant people. All the rest try their best to drive to stay alive. I bet you when ignorant Alvin Cummin said he nearly hit that cyclist he did not see the lights to the front and back of the motor cycle. I bet that stinking moron will say there were no lights. So I guess he did not have any lights either. Real real jack ass

SSS, too far east will eventually lead to a lot of ?????. You said: “He talks about he nearly hit a cyclist wearing black…Someone else with better vision would probably have seen the cyclist.” Are you serious?

An idiot riding on the highway or anywhere in Barbados at night, probably without any lights or reflective gear and you suggest that the driver needs better eyesight. Fah real!

And continued: “… If the authorities were serious about road safety, all cyclist would be asked to wear some type of reflector clothing to help with visibility. ” Again, are you fah real.

Since when were the laws revoked that cyclist were supposed to have illumination.
I thought they were still on the books.

In this modern era of gangs and drugs and people with all sorts of guns; some serious shiiite crimes you honestly are condemning the authorities for not deploying limited man-power to enforce proper bicycling practices.

That is as unreasonable as the rules to protect idiocy in Russia…the folks there were providing guidelines on ‘safe selfing’ after over 10 deaths and multi injuries. The rules cautioned against no standing on railroad tracks, no climbing onto roofs, and no posing with guns or tigers. Duh, duh and duhhhh!

A cyclist wearing dark clothing at night on our road is an accident waiting to happen. Whether the driver has 20-20 vision or the poor sight of an elderly senior.

I hear your personal anger with the gentleman but your rational on the issue is off-based.

  28. de Ingrunt Word Avatar

Should be bicycling and motor-cycles too. Riding without lights in either case is idiocy…criminally stupid with the motor-cycles.

Nanci, it is now common practice for many drivers in Barbados to ignore, Traffic signs, traffic lights and road markings, especially double yellow lines in the middle of the road.
Personally if I had a son or daughter now learning to drive, I would ensure that right after passing his /her driving test, or even in conjunction with their driver training that they are enrolled on a Defensive Driving Course. A better investment than enormous bulldozer type front bumpers.

    …………………………………………………………………………………
Is it Swipe at the Elderly Season? I too have encountered often times cyclists in dark clothing at nights, and have only seen them at the last moment. I was on the Eye study programme which ran for a number of years in Barbados a while back, and have received many praises for my perfect vision. There are many young people out there driving whose vision, have been impaired by many unnatural factors.
In Barbados, to put it mildly, if you do Shite, you can always count on the backing of many people out there. Shoot ,or powder, the messenger.

  31. Do you ALL see how stupid SSS really is?

I mentioned the word “CYCLIST” and he immediately assumed I meant MOTORCYCLIST. In fact it was someone riding a BICYCLE in the area of that clump of bushes as you exit the Kendal Hill gas station and drive on to the ABC highway. It was a young man dressed in dark clothing, the BICYCLE had no reflector, license, headlight, or anything that would identify it. And ir was because my eyesight was good that I did not hit him. And further SSS feels that they “should be asked”?? It is the law that already mandates cyclists to have reflectors and lights on their cycles. The wearing of reflective clothing, or at least light coloured clothing is common sense.

, Sorry SSS I will NOT engage in invective like you, or against you, nor will I engage you, even in a simple conversation, suffice to say that even in two lifetimes you will not, or could you, ever even aspire to reach my heights, so your name calling has no effect on me. If, as you say, you know yourself you will know what I am speaking of. Sleep well tonight.

Reach your heights., Starboy..I will engage your ass because you do not know nothing about me and were intelligence is concern I choose to be a bitch before I write the queens English, But I will make an exception of you since you think you are all of that.two face moron.

  34. @David,

All the big ups drive vehicles that have multiple air bags and crash protection…..get my drift?

  35. @Hants

Yes, Bushie in his SUV the other day.

  36. The following is taken directly from the contribution of SSS:
” I bet you when ignorant Alvin Cummin said he nearly hit that cyclist he did not see the lights to the front and back of the motor cycle. I bet that stinking moron will say there were no lights. So I guess he did not have any lights either. Real real jack ass.
” He/She or it, said(above) that nothing was mentioned in [their] contribution about a “motorcycle.”
Judge for yourselves. Who is the moron?
Oh, by the way, you should know that double negatives are not correct english, like: “NOT know NOTHING…” it should be: ‘NOT know ANYTHING…”

As Elombe would say:”Uh gone!” I have nothing more to say to SSS.

By the way was’t that the company that built the extensions to the ABC Highway? Just asking, after all I am a moron, so I need to be educated.

  37. I am quite amazed at the tomfoolery of some Barbadians who apparently haven’t any real understanding of the words personal-autonomy and self-determination. Listen! People are free to choose whether it is self-defeating or self-aggrandizing; such rights find their support and higher realization in the irremovable laws of God and the inalienable laws of nature.

  38. @ David July 17, 2015 at 4:09 PM

Wait!! you talking bout the Bushman’s Short-sleeve Under Vests….. Right?

  39. Alvin Cummins

I know that this fight does not concern me, but I just have to comment on the part of your statement regarding Double Negatives. Was that really necessary sir? SSS, could have charge you with writing the word English in the lower case, so let us abandon the Bush Tea mentality because you’re much more bigger than that brother. I hope that we are here to inform and educate rather than to besmeare and befoul each other intellectual stance?

Dompey, interesting observation re Cumming’s “statement regarding Double Negative”.

With your earlier foray in psychological aspects of self-aggrandizing and free-will and so on I anticipated that you accepted that people can do as they like and that they cast invective in various ways. But you like you did only talking pretty!

There is the high brow method you noted from Cummings and of course the more standard ‘low’ brow lambasting from SSS.

So if you call him on your perceived no-ball, then SSS bowl quite a few too. You din call her…so get real and let the people cuss each other, do.

The last time we had a cuss-out here, David was able to step in and moderate a resolution like a real proper industrial relations guru. So he is certainly up to it if needed here again.

Yes, I do believe that man is at liberty to do as he wishes, so long as he is willing to accept the consequences to be had, whether positive or negative. What is there to stop a man from doing as he so desires, if his conscience has been aroused? Certainly, not the human law which is predicated upon the backing of physical-force, or moral and divine laws which are infused with the threats of eternal – damnation?

  44. De Ingrunt

Internal and external constraints will not retard a man’s passions and desires, if and when his conscience has been aroused. The Pagan philosopher Socrates was a prime example of a man whose conscience had been aroused. He put trust in his own judgment and opted for death over life and died a man upholding his convictions irrespective of the common consensus of his day.

Domps, a few years ago I read this book on the value and efficacy of colonic irrigation and the author extolled its benefits for all aspects of health maintenance.

He even spoke of its tremendous benefit for fixing aspects that seemed so counter -intuitive.

Now I know that you are a learned fellow and will tell me that there are also many studies which rebut those benefits but really bro I would still suggest you consider a colonic irrigation to ease your constant verbal diarrhea….

“What is there to stop a man from doing as he so desires, if his conscience has been aroused? Certainly, not the human law which is predicated upon the backing of physical-force, or moral and divine laws which are infused with the threats of eternal – damnation?”

Good lawd, man surely you need some health maintenance! lol.

  46. De Ingrunt

I thought your question centered around personal-autonomy and self-determination of which you replied: so a man is at liberty to do as he likes? And of which I replied yes! (I am paraphrasing here now) De Ingrunt, I read Nelson Mandela’s book called Long Walk To Freedom many years ago, in which he expoused my very sentiment regarding self-realization. Mandela, said that his conscience had been aroused to the point that he was willing to do whatever it took to free his people, even if it entailed giving up his life to achieved such goal.

  47. De Ingrunt, let me leave this little something for you to chew on before I depart for the night: do you know that the entire concept of Christianity is predicated upon principle self-determination? Well brother, God in all of His omniscient didn’t wish that man becking to his every call as one of those highly intelligent robots at MIT would do, so what did He do: well, He fitted Adam and Eva with this thing called freewill aka self-determination, and of which the both of the usurped and contravened His command when instructed not to. But the point I wish to stress here is this: hadn’t for the free-thinking spirit of the both of these sentient beings would they have acted on they own recognizances and disobey the Moral Arbiter of the universe?

  48. St George's Dragon Avatar
    St George’s Dragon

How does this work then? God makes people and gives them free will. Christianity says we are damned to go to hell if we don’t comply with its religious rules. Not so much free will then.

  49. @ Dragon
What is the issue…? Are you not free to tell them to F.. off?

..so what is so wrong with going to hell if you are rich as shiite? ….After an enjoyable three score and ten years of squeezing the shit out of everyone that you can …to get as much as you can….surely a little ‘hell’ is warranted don’t you think?
