The BLP gave Bizzy company a contract in 2007 to this BOLT project. Remember the BLP lost the government in 2008.Why are the BLP people on BU cursing Bizzy now. If the BLP government had continued this company would still have to be paid for separating and treating the garbage.
I have visited that company to buy some compost and it is first world in what is going on there.
I can understand the arguments that they are getting the garbage free and eventually they are producing materials that are being sold but that is what business is all about.
Instead of the credit union top brass using my money to fly all over the world to convention they better get involved in investing my money in these kinds of projects that the returned is backed by government.
The TAXATION system in Barbados is a substantial part of the basis of the principals within these intellectually and politically backward, bankrupt and discredited DLP/ BLP governments having been able to take turns at prolonging the damned DLP and the blasted BLP existences in this country.
What happens is that whichever ramgoat ramshackled DLP or BLP government it is, it continues to evilly wickedly steal and rob from the remunerations of the relevant people, businesses and other entities in this country.
Then, it sends the proceeds, the loot, to certain institutional members of the core financial system – which then turn around and transfer from themselves to the supporters, the henchmen, the members of either of these two very wicked corrupt parties which form the government of the day – some of the amounts of money received by them from the government TAXATION loot, and with or without these transfers being part of any relevant commercial transactions.
Too, what happens is that these transfers are endorsed by either of these same filthy DLP BLP governments, before they are received by these said supporters, these same hench persons, these same members of these two very wicked corrupt parties, either as party hacks in their respective positions in government, or as party/business people doing business with the government, or simply as social welfare recipients.
What is so horrific is that those persons, businesses and others that are in no way connected with these despicable DLP BLP parties are forced to hand over monies to either of these sick parasitic DLP BLP governments in this country – such that they – these persons, businesses, and other entities – will have to go into their pockets and take out monies that – via certain aspects of the core financial system – will end up – for commercial or non-commercial reasons going into the pockets of the supporters, hench persons, the members of these filthy dotish parties.
Indeed, if there were ever a time for many people of the broad masses and mIddle classes of people of this country to REVOLT against this evil wicked remuneration stealing robbing TAXATION system, and to REVOLT against these damned rotten DLP and BLP factions, is must surely be NOW, as the social political conditions in this country continue to deteriorate tremendously primarily because of these and other relevant dispensations.

The Opposition BLP and groups such as BARP should have vigorously opposed the Municipal Solid Waste Tax the day after it was proposed and pointed out that is is really a land tax increase in disguise. It is calculated in a similar manner to the land tax on lots with a buildings. I listened to the budgetary proposal on August 13, 2013 and I foresaw the hardship it would place on the average Barbadian with property, so why didn’t former P.M. Owen Arthur see it then? I told the person who pays my land tax I wouldn’t be paying the Muni Tax because I couldn’t afford to. Fortunately for me, no building is on the land and a decision was made not to place the tax on such lots (the land tax on such lots is extremely high – my yearly bill is $2,100+ before discount). The long talk that is taking place now should have taken place when the tax was proposed. The government is depending on the projected revenue, so Bajans will have to pay up (or refuse to pay and hope that a large enough portion of the population does likewise and cause the govt. to be afraid to take action).
Correction:

Everything will be on a cash basis with no paper trails.
Many businesses are not issuing receipts so the VAT collected will be less. I always ask for mine but some of them have no date nor VAT registration number.
