I always find this bullshit amusing. Long after the slave trade was abolished we sucked at the teet of the mother country until WW2 broke her and she could afford us no more. There is no more to give and no more should be expected. If slave descendants living locally want to return home I’m sure the money could be found locally, regardless of whether they were West African, Irish, Scott or Quaker. What you and others recommend about fighting for the Wealth generated by Slavery sounds good in theory BUT it is totally unrealistic and as such a detraction from solving the problems preventing progress among some black people. It is pointless to demand reparations since there is NO one alive who was a slave, to receive the payments. Have the Jews been compensated for the Wealth taken by the Germans??? This happened only 70 years ago, not 170-200 years back.
My ancestors were involved in the Monmouth Rebellion and “Barbadosed” by Judge Jefferies as a result. Why did they get involved? They were being unfaired by the “leaders” of the day! Should we sue too? NO! Pointless!

I am only aware of the fact that Muslim slavery begun in Africa before European economic slavery. Have you ever wonder why countries such as Nigeria and Ghana, which happened to be in West Africa are Islamic? Well, Islam invaded these countries and many others in Africa, before the Europeans and imposed its religious belief on these countries.

That may or may not be true but ….. I am pretty sure I read somewhere or saw in a documentary that the English removed some Native Americans to Barbados where they were sold as slaves!!

I suspect however that slave ownership occurred before 1655 in the New World, if you count Barbados as being a part of the New World.
South Carolina and Jamaica (once it was taken from the Spanish) were settled from Barbados from 1655 onwards and I have read that some settlers took their slaves with them when they left.
Remember, slaves were very valuable property.
That’s one of the reasons that I find it difficult to accept that they were all treated badly by their owners who would have viewed them as I said before, as extremely valuable property.
It just makes absolutely no economic sense to take any action to shorten the life of any factor contributing to your economic survival of youself and your family.
… and that goes without even looking at the moral considerations.

It is a very easy thing for a docile people who were “barbadosed” to remain in a state of lethargy and indolence as the majority of us negroes have.

The further back you go in Native American history, the blacker the Native Americans are, this is also true about the Incas, that is why it’s safer to start your history before any whites entered Africa, you get a better grasp on what happened and the pieces fit together much better. While it is sadly true that Slaves were counted with Cattle it certainly makes no sense that any clever owner would just mash up his assets. If I owned Dairy Cows I would NOT lash them BUT would do whatever I could to maximise milk production.
