I’ve been bothered for some time now by an incident that occurred a few months back wherein a Muslim man was charged with bestiality and instead of being prosecuted under the laws of Barbados, the Magistrate chose to hand him over to the Muslim community to deal with the crime.

What I cannot believe is that the Attorney General has done nothing to correct this horrendous wrong that has been committed by this Magistrate, and that Barbadians seem to have accepted this as the norm.  Since when did Sharia Law become legal in Barbados?  If a Rastafarian member was arrested for smoking a weed cigarette, would that person have been turned over to the Rastafarian community to deal with him.  I DON’T THINK SO!!!!!!

This is not something to just sweep under the rug.  It sets a very bad precedent and is sending the wrong signal about the laws of Barbados.  I hope that this is brought to the attention of the Attorney General because I think that he’s the only one that can right this wrong.

Subject: lots over grown by bush and trees

Dear Sir or Madam

Casuarina Estates in the parish of St Philip is a new development, the vacant lots have been rapidly  taken over by tall trees and bush it spoils the beauty and serenity of  Cauarina Estates.

This development is home for many of us.  There are retired persons (returning nationals) and some of us with young children who are now face with the possibility of rats, the dreaded African Snails, mosquitoes and persons with criminal intent who can find places to hide, observe and planned their executions.

With the assistance of the Ministry of health and S.p Mussons the persons who own these lots can be contacted and ask to clean them up, this action can result in a sixty to seventy percent clean up of properties.  We would like the owners of these vacant lots to act responsibly and have the lots debushed.

We would like to see Casuarina Estates return to the state where we can look from one avenue in to the other across the landscape without being obstructed by unsightly over grown lots, dounks trees are also of great concern, all properties are easily seen from any angle to deter suspecting criminals, but the un-kept lots are posing serious difficulties.

We are there-fore ask the authorities to make the necessary checks in this development and have this problem corrected.

Yours Sincerely

Concern owner

  1. aaaa you are the only one that makes sense so far.

  2. As a matter of fact an insider told me so.

  3. Believe or not Jo Jo preparing for Church. Jo Jo needs now to get his soul blessed.

  4. There is a big difference between Bestiality having sex with animals and Buggery, the terms use to be interchangeable in the law courts in old days. You know the days before Lady Gaga born this way, lol. When homosexual behaviour was seen as a sin.

Meaning anal sexual intercourse between a male and a male or a male and a female. Or sexual intercourse vaginal or anal between a human and an animal. Was all lumped under buggery, or bestiality. Kinda weird.

In today world for the most part consensual sexual acts between two consenting adults be it anal or vaginal is not a crime. No one is going to be convicted in Barbados for anal sex, what he was charged with was public indecency.

Now would this have reached the courts if it was a man and a woman engaging, as we have often seen and is quite the norm, sexual intercourse in they cars, anal or vaginal, no. Have you ever seen heterosexual couple brought before the law courts for parking out, might get a warning but no. That would be funny though, unless it were me of course, lol

This is really a none issue, the LGBT community is so powerful in the countries that we need for our economic well-being that no Judge in his or her right mind would dare fine or imprison anyone for Buggery.

Saying I would hand you over to your people to deal with you is not Sharia Law that could only be done in a Muslim State and is ordained by the powers that be. So cut the sensation crap.

  5. So Sharia law is now official in Barbados. I am not surprised. Some of you may remember that during the build up to the 2007 Cricket World Cup the commissioner of police and the head of the defence force went down to Kensington New Road to meet so-called Muslim leaders.
First, to enter the building they had to take off their shoes, then they were lectured to, including being told that no male officer should search any females Muslims.
All this was predictable. For the last fifty years I have seen huge areas of Britain changed irrevocably in which, Cities such as Leicester, English people have become minorities.
Going down the British way is the way for us to lose our nation; given another 25 years we will not recognise the Barbados we used to know and love.
Go to Durban in South Africa, Fiji, and a number of other places to see how these things can develop.
We need to go back to a debate about immigration, citizenship, the right to residency, and the size of families.
We also have to look closely at the so-called self-employed, your payment of taxation and the use of official financial services.
We now have a situation in which there is one law for those who claim to believe in Sharia, those who believe in other religious laws, and the rest.
We must do like the French and Swiss, secularise out public space, make it illegal for people to wear religious symbols in public -even Roman Catholic Nuns and priests – outlaw all private schools, make English the only public language, make a those who come to work or settle in Barbados lean to speak English within six months or have that right of residence withdrawn.
When is Barbados going to wake up?

  6. @ Hal
Would you be interested in coming home to work with the Barbados Unity Party?

  7. I will consider anything that involves the future development of Barbados, in particular if it means challenging the dilution of traditional Barbadian culture..
