Rihanna and Chris Brown frolicking in Barbados in the recent past
Rihanna and Chris Brown frolicking in Barbados waters in the recent past before their reported incident

Rihanna’s catapulted rise to ‘superstardom’ has been kaleidoscopic.  Just on the cusp of her secondary school career, she was ‘released’ to enter and to pitch her wagon into the world of the fame, and, almost overnight, she became an internationally-recognized celebrity.

Inclined towards being conservative, I was  concerned about her vulnerability, noting the general teenaged tendency to be unfocused and gullible. Admittedly, Rihanna does have talent (no denying that!).  She is beautiful, her performances are energetic and fun.

But what has been revealed lately in Rihanna’s personal life/w. Chris is a young lady who still is in crying need of guidance.  Her parents seem to be at a ‘lost’ as to how to help her and it appears that they have failed to impart to her the Godly wisdom and example she so desperately needs.

Could you pray for Rihanna?

  1. Sagi, the threats are n’t mine although I’d favour giving him a good thrashing!!

    ****************

She appears to make decisions based on how she is feeling that day.

    ************

You’re so right about Judge Judy, maggie not that I usually, waste my time listening to her but one day I heard her reprimand some young fellow by saying, “you’re not so hot”!! Well that sealed my impression of her, there and then! Completely, irrelevant statement!! Yet, Americans seem to regard her as some sort of hero!! lol!!

Anyway, I feel more conident today than I have for a long time that our girl will survive this and emerge smiling at the end!! ‘She seems to know what’s happening’ more than any of us!!

  2. To all the Rihanna fans and concerned citizens of Barbados, please try reaching the family of Rihanna if possible and see if you can get them to talk some sense into the young ladies head. She is a International celebraty now and she needs to be more responsible and matured. Ask her to take the advice of persons who have experienced such abuse and do the right thing, FORGET THE MAN. You Rihanna represents the entire youth of not only Barbados but most of the region and being a Caw’mere girl, I know that youy know how to lift your head up high and set your standard reachable but very high. Don’t reduce yourself to the level of these little American punks.

  3. Why not leave her private affairs alone.
Stop humbugging her. Leave out the advice and let her make her own moves.

When she is in Barbados she needs to be comfortable, not invaded and bombarded. She is not public property.

Seek peace and peace will pursue you.
    End of subject.

  4. US magazine reports Rihanna in Barbados. Her dads who out talks Oprah quoted planning to do lunch with her today.

    Not Chefette rotis please! Blah!

  5. Simple
I agree to leave her alone if she was an ordinary figure. However, she is the Barbados Youth and Cultural Ambassador and as such she is accountable to the Government and people of Barbados just like any other Ambassador. Tell me then, why shr should be left alone ? If she wants to be left alone, let her asked to be releaved of the post. We can still love her and wish her well but she will be on her own. To have Ambassador status is an honour which means she isgiven a Diplomatic Passport, which states that she is an Official of the Barbados Government and certain protocol goes with it. It is a serious position to hold and I personally think that it is too important a situation for her to be in as a entertainer on the world stage at that young age. Too much is required of her.

  6. Will somebody, please, tell my darling to start singing, again!! I’m really missing her, now!!

  7. The dirty, little piece of *hit (Brown) even had the gaul to plead “innocent”, in the court hearing the other day!! I guess she beat-up herself, then!!

    lol!!

  10. So Chris Brown pleads guilty. Sentenced to 5 years probation with 6 months community service!

  11. There seems to be conflicting reports about Brown’s sentence. I read somewhere that he would do community service but it was not mentioned in the article below article.

I am not one bit surprise that he was not ordered to spend a day in jail. Let’s hope he remembers to cross all his T’s and dot all his I’s for the next five years without any slip ups.

Here where I live, it stands in the newspapers that Brown also loose the right to carry a weapon(thanks God), and will have restrictions when it comes to travelling.
