Capitalism is the commercialization of selfishness and greed.
It ‘works’ because these are the natural inclinations of albino-centrics who think only of themselves, and in the short term (not much of their children and their children’s children).It has to be obvious that, unless challenged by the significantly superior model of community centricity, where long term community development and continuous quality improvements are the central foci, capitalism WILL be attractive in the eyes of the world.
But God’s ‘chosen people’ were so ‘chosen’ to demonstrate and exemplify that superior organisational model. In fact, they were ingrained with a natural instinct to be unselfish and community minded.
But wunna KNOW how it is with brass bowls….Always complaining bout some shiite… ‘specially the women and she-men among us…

For a non-believer in the Bible, you got the plot down to a tee yuh!!But Bushie done with those Big Boss parables – cause nowadays, the truth is becoming SOOO obvious, that even some economists (wtHta!) and lawyers (when not defrauding their clients of their deposited funds) are seeing that the fast approaching light at the end of the time-tunnel is NOT a way out, but a head-on-catastrophe.

Whatta lotta shiite!!!The widely accepted idea that our world has gone out of whack due to man’s activities, and that by focused collective actions to reduce our carbon footprints we can somehow reverse this trajectory and get back to the ‘good old days’ of a healthy climate and steady state temperatures …is pure bull shiite…!!
This would be equivalent to the BU posse trying to convince Simple Simon that her hot flashes, miserable attitude, sore knees, and aching back is the result of the lotta conkees that she yam, the lotta rocking in ZRs in potholes and gaps, and the lotta pudding & souse that she mauled….
…and that by now going vegan, exercising, and going to church by ZR on Sundays, she can regain her youthful vigor and turn some heads again…
ha ha ha !!The Truth is that, while SS DID accelerate the process, the REALITY is that her donkey is OLD as shiite, …and it WILL shortly need to be laid to rest in a cemetery somewhere.
So if SS CHOSE to believe the BU posse and waste her time dieting, exercising and on her knees in front of a pastor on Sundays, all this does is distract her from facing the REALITY that her time is about up, …and that the ONLY important agenda item at her age is the here-after.

Bynoe: Govt had chance to buy land

Prominent Barbadian businessman Andrew Bynoe has put the ten acres of prime land which he owns at the scenic River Bay, St Lucy, for sale at US$2.7 million.
And Bynoe, who is the owner of Carlton and Emerald City supermarkets, says the price is not negotiable.
Last week Barbadians reacted with shock as the advertisement for the sale of the land, traditionally one of the most scenic and serene picnic spots on the island, started to circulate on social media.
The advertisement noted: “Large 10-acre vacant ocean front site with great potential for development. This land is situated in a beautiful area along Barbados’ northern coastline with lovely breezes and peaceful surroundings.”
Some questioned the sale, calling it a national shame.
“The shame is that it is in the Barbados National Park, where no further development is allowed. Yet the ad states that this is development land,” one poster wrote.
Bynoe was nonchalant over the public response, pointing out that he had owned the land for 25 years.
It surrounds the two acres which Government owns and uses as a public space, providing a bath facility which is maintained by the National Conservation Commission.
Bynoe pointed out that he had given Government an opportunity to purchase the vast area of forested land which extends beyond the famed river.
“Government was in a discussion with me but there was nothing written on paper. They were in discussion with me and one of the things that we were looking at was a swap for other lands owned by Government and so on that would have been suitable to me and so on. But I mean, I’ve had the land down there for years.”
Asked if he had notified Government of his intention to sell the property, he asked: “Why should I send them notification?”
He added that no one from Government had reached out to him either since the land was posted for sale.
Further asked if he wanted Government to come and have a discussion with him, Bynoe stated: “I am not holding a big stick over Government. It is my land.”
He said so far he had received an interest “but I did not entertain it”.
“All I have done is put it on market for sale, $2.7 million US, which is really under valuation. It is really worth more than that. But this is where I put it, 2.7 million, non-negotiable.”
Minister of Housing and Lands Dwight Sutherland noted that Government was interested in having further discussions with Bynoe.
“We have a survey plant for the property. Initial discussion was had with Mr Bynoe by the last administration. We are prepared to have a discussion with him as soon as possible.”
Back in 2011 when Bynoe first spoke to this newspaper about his ownership of the lands, he revealed that he had submitted plans to the then Town and Country Planning Department to dredge the river and create a tourism-related development.
“I had intended to remove some of those rocks . . . and create a water facility for people to come and enjoy. And over at the other river I wanted to create a sport fishing sea pond for anglers, where people could come 24 hours a day and fish.
“It was all part of a larger scheme for tourismrelated development in the area,” he said at the time, pointing out that it also included the construction of vacation villas on the southern hilly side of the bay. However, he said he had to abandon those plans when he was not granted permission to dredge the river.
He also disclosed that Government had made a proposition to acquire five acres on the northern side which had already been designated as a picnic spot and that he was not against giving up that land.
