Barbados is country that generates tons of garbage and we struggle to dispose of it. What is a circular economy? How can transforming to a circular economy help the country to improve?

We are a country struggling with food security and food sovereignty preferring (it seems) to satisfy local demand by importing.

Successive governments have talked a good game about utilising aggressive penetration of renewal energy. We continue to struggle with energy storage and regulating the sole utility electric company.

What about the coroner’s inquest into Emma McManus’ death which occurred in 2020? Four years later is this a case of the system suppressing an outcome at the behest of the rich and famous?

Is it true 1000 new vehicles are released on our roads every month? How is this sustainable?

The buzz for the rest of the month will be about the PM. The PM is this instance stands for Post Mortem. We sent a small team to the 2024 Paris Olympics. Our athletes didn’t medal and to be expected questions are being asked. The following comment was posted to the Sports Corner by de Pedantic Dribbler.

I find this stat from the Olympic medal table shocking as compared to my lovely Bim and my fellow lil islanders !

Read as Gold, Silver, Bronze.

So we know Bim’s results … but little St. Lucia has 1 Gold, Jamaica had an off-year with only 1 gold in their six medals this year.

But how does a nation with 1.5 billion people produce those type of results!

Context: China with a similar population have 40 golds.

Now, India dominate world cricket so clearly they have an ability to establish grass roots sports program to develop talent which makes these other sporting deficiencies absurdly noticeable. 

My point, the realism of our athletes not meeting qualifying standards and lack of sporting facilities is surly a result of lack of will on part of the govt/sports leaders but it’s also a result of other variables … as India’s piss poor results exemplify.

The power of whataboutism. 

These are a few examples which should demonstrate we need to rollup our sleeves and get to work. This is our country!

    This energy storage plan is a fool’s errand and is destined to fail, like all such ideas, as misdirected and imposed by the imperial core.

    Weeeee have suggested nuclear as a possible option but that idea will not achieve resonance until the White people so direct, which is never.

    For policymakers in Barbados will never learn that the imperial core has misdirected them for centuries resulting in a purposeful underdevelopment.

    Nuclear, current or coming technologies, are the only ways of providing cheap, clean, energy.

    As an enduring colonial outpost soft power acceptance means, even in death, that White people like Macmanus, or whatever, must be shown deference even as for more than a half century we’ve had Mark Stokes still missing and neither his family, many of whom have themselves passed away without having a body to bury, or the country not even giving an explanation of the circumstances around his disappearance.

    This is one of the characteristics of what the United Nations meant by describing Barbados as a crypto-racist society.

    A determination we have chosen to ignore for 20 years. Which means that the racist regime in Bridgetown continues to chose to maintain the status quo.

    But no amount of pretending the true nature of this society does not exist can make crypto-racism, as endemic, go way.

    The “SNOW BUNNY” – #EmmaMcManus (died age 40) was the daughter-in-“LAW” of “BILLIONAIRE” J. P McManus, a renowned horse racing magnate. She was found “DEAD IN HER BEDROOM” at the family’s luxury residence in the Sandy Lane resort, Barbados, on December 30, 2020!!!

    According to reports, Emma’s husband, John McManus, claimed “SHE DIED SUDDENLY” after a night of partying with friends & family. He “DENIED” telling the coroner’s officer that he had “TAKEN COCAINE” to the party, stating that he was “MISHEARD” & would welcome a “TEST” to prove his innocence. The coroner’s office received a “TOXICOLOGY REPORT”, but its “CONTENTS WERE NOT DISCLOSED”!!!

    The inquest into Emma’s death was initially “SCHEDULED” to be held “PUBLICALLY”, but the family “INSISTED” in having it held in “PRIVATE”. The “MAINSTREAM MEDIA” was barred from attending the inquest hearings, citing concerns over the “FAMILY PRIVACY”!!!

    John McManus testified that his wife left him at a bar around 11:30 pm on December 29 & returned home, where he put her to “SLEEP ON A COUCH” around “4 AM”. He claimed she was not taking any “MEDICATION”, “SMOKING”, or using “NARCOTICS”. He also stated that he was in a state of panic when he found her dead the next morning & “SLAPPED HER FACE” in an attempt to “REVIVE” her.

    The “TOXICOLOGY REPORT” was received by the “CORONER”, but its “CONTENTS” were not “DISCLOSED” due to a “LEGAL DISPUTE” between John McManus’s “LAWYERS” & the “CORONER’S OFFICE”. The report’s “FINDING REMAINS UNKNOWN”!!!

    Emma was a mother of three children under the age of nine & was married to John McManus, JP’s son. The family had been enjoying a Christmas break at their Barbados residence when Emma died. A memorial service was held earlier in 2021, and a eulogy was delivered by her husband, who described her as the “centre of their family.”

    WHO WAS PAID OFF – REMAINS A MYSTERY & THE POWERS THAT BE THAT KOWTOW TO THE FRAGILE, FLACCID LIVES OF BILLIONAIRES WILL HAVE A FIRST CLASS TICKET IN DANTE’S INFERNO!!!

    By 1625, black folks in Africa had been castrating and removing other manly parts from other black folks for a millennia.

    This was to meet the demand for slaves in the Arab world which existed long before the Europeans reached Africa in the 15th century.

    We also know that after the Resurrection Philip brought the Ethiopian eunuch, a slave in the court of Candace, to Christ suggesting the butchery of blacks by other blacks had been going on for some time before the advent of Islam.

    After 1625, a choice emerged.

    Either get enslaved and be sold into slavery to the Arabs, lose your manly parts and die on the middle passage across the Sahara at a rate of 90% if you happened to survive the surgical procedure OR get enslaved, keep your manly parts and have a 90% chance of surviving the middle passage to the New World.

    There was a time, 2000-2007, when the Auditor General of Barbados reported in February on the prior year. Even under the immediate past administration of GoB, which was not known for reporting of any kind, the AudGen report was issued by April most years. Recently it has pushed out to June-July, 2023 was a new record September.
    Given we are approaching mid Argust, it seems any hope the AudGen may become more timely is a bad dream. Then again, we are sure to hear about the plethora of late NIS Reports dumped on said office a year ago, and it’s lack of staff.
    That now memorable address to the Nation by PM MAM will be a year ago in mere weeks.
    The one where she told us NIS Reports from 10-16 were complete, and how two Ministers were to be making a Statement if Savvy wasn’t resolved.
    How time flies!

    Not suggesting anything. Merely observing that delays which possibly began in our legal system, were soon adopted by several public entities, and now the system guard seems to be following suit.
    If one extrapolates it becomes quite scary. Especially since the Bajan public seems to tek lashes without flinching.

    Maloney like so many other athletes from Caribbean islands are product of the NCAA. ( DRs Paulino an exception and a few from JCA) Did you know that 13 Great Britain medallists are also NCAA products? St.L gold, Domincas gold, Grenada two bronze.
    Didn’t our own Sada Williams who was in the same final as Maloney, attend K.C.State? Albeit today she trains in JCA with Stephen Francis.

    The “REASONING” is sacrosanct based on the term used in the Quran for “OWNERSHIP” of an “INDIVIDUAL” by their master is “MA MALAKAT AYMANUKUM” correctly translated as “THOSE WHOM YOUR RIGHT HAND POSSESS” or “THOSE WHOM YOU RIGHTFULLY POSSESS” just as is cited in “THE HOLY BIBLE IN THE BOOK PHILEMON” (where Paul pleas for Onesimus – a slave in chapter 1: 8-21)!!!

    Formal religions are more about social control rather than individual freedom and raising consciousness.

    People should learn basics of a religion and then modify their spiritual practice for their individual needs.

    I like the idea of linking spirituality with physical fitness and mind-body health and have been deep diving into energy work (qigong), breathwork (pranayama, meditation) and physical asana and sadhanna (yoga) from 1,000s years old eastern practices as well as the science of western theories of exercise

    According to the original statement the expelled members have a right to appeal the decision at the Annual Conference, but it also states that since the Annual Conference is only a week away the appeal would heard by the Annual Conference of 2025.     I am reminded of that Bible story in which two women were claiming one baby as theirs. The two had given birth at the same time and one baby had died.

    When they came before Solomon he eventually decided that the baby should be cut in two, giving each woman one half.

    One woman readily agreed. The other decided to give her share to the other, thereby keeping the baby whole.

    By this Solomon was able to identify the true mother, the one who really cared for the child.

    It is not as though Ronnie Yearwood carried a baby within him for nine months even. Being much younger than Ralph Thorne means that he would probably get another chance.
