    Dear Pacha:
Have you been following the recent events between Israel and Iran?

How could Israel bomb the Iranian embassy and expect to get away with it?

Isn’t that equivalent to declaring war on Iran?

The potential for an outright war between these two heavily-armed nations could only lead to WW 3 even if it involves mainly cyber attacks on countries’ digital networks, economic infrastructure and international travel facilities.

Such an outcome will have serious economic ramifications for tourism-dependent countries especially the debt-laden Barbados.

Maybe Barbados requires another Bush Experiment of the 1940’s.

  2. The reality of the impasse is are there names on the petition for removal are non members, not financial or did not give consent? It is up to Hartley Reid to clarify. He is a retired policeman

    xxxxxxxxxxxx

EVERYTIME I THINK ABOUT THE POLICE ON THE 2X3 ISLAND I HAVE FLASHBACKS ON HOW DIRTY THEY CAN BE ONCE THEY WANT TO GET SOMEONE BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY LEGALLY OR ILLEGALLY.

REMINDS ME OF THE 2 TIMES BEFORE I LEFT THEY COLLUDED WITH OTHERS TO PLANT EVIDENCE FIRST IN MY BMW AFTER FIRST FAILURE AND NEXT IN MY RESIDENCE.

HOWEVER LIKE THIS LETTER I WAS ABLE TO EXPOSE THEIR DIRTY TRICKS AND SHENIGANS.

However, we are afraid that your estimates are quite right though your formulation may slightly differ to ours.

Israel has lost the war in Gaza. In military terms they have been delivered a strategic defeat. Acts of genocide a military victory do not make.

As a result Netanyahu seeks to capture victory from the jaws of defeat,

The deeper truth has long been that Iran and her allies in the region have been defeating Israel for decades. Hezbollah famously did in 2000 and again in 2006, for example.

BTW a strategic defeat is when one belligerent prevents the other belligerent from obtaining its declare military objectives.

In the case of the Gaza War, the Zionist regime had declared that Hamas would have been totally destroyed and promised the return of the captives held by Hamas. Neither one has been achieved in more than six months.

In other words, all a guerrilla force, like the Hamas brigades et al, has to do to win is avoid the aggressor achieving its stated objectives.

On your more adroitly cited point, our reading is thus. And we now see people like Scott Ritter agreeing.

Having lost the war Netanyahu bombs the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, a direct attack on the sovereignty of Iran, as an escalatory action to elicit an over reaction from Tehran.

In these circumstances, Israel which is now seen as ‘as weak as a spider’s web’ anticipate that America will come to its side to go up against Iran and her Allie’s, now including Russia and China.

The Iranians have no fear of America. Wee have argued that the Boy Scouts in the BDF could beat them mano e mano. LOL

Of course, the Zionist regime has the much vaunted ‘Sampson Option’. This doctrine say should the regime face an existential crisis that it will use its illegal nuclear weapons to bring down the entire temple of mankind. Blackmail!

Blackmail yes. But weee should have no doubt that these Kazars will use them. Seriously!

Iran is not known to have nuclear weapons. So the relative destructive forces may appear to favor the Zionist regime, absent its more powerful allies.

However, the Iranians have a weapon, more powerful than atomic bombs, which could bring civilization to an end. For it has the means to destroy all, and we mean all, of the oil and gas installations in the region, overnight!

By the next day oil prices would have skyrocketed to 1000USD per barrel. And just like that industrial civilization comes to a halt!

Notwithstanding this calculus, we expect that the Iranian will retaliate for the egregious attack by the fascist Zionists.

They may, at the lower end of the scale, bomb Israeli installations in the Golan Heights, lands legally occupied but belonging to Syria, a region the Zionist has no legal claim to.

And at the upper end of the scale, the Iranians could bomb one or more of some 28 embassies, currently shuttered for fear of an attack or they may strike Israeli territory proper.

Including in their calculations must be the Gaza War, allowing Hamas to take the lead in this here struggle, and considering the stances of its other regional partners.

The attitude of the Americans, the British, the French, the Germans to the bombing of premises well protected under international tells us about the nature of this ‘rules based order’ of White people.

This is the dying regime which Mia Mottley wants to preside over at the UN.

Israel has lost the war in Gaza.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    In your dreams.

Out of 24 brigades Israel has destroyed 19.

It’s strategic objective is all 24.

The remaining 5 are being strangled by blockades.

Gaza will be utterly destroyed and unfit for civilian life.

Arab nations better prepare to have their populations swelled.

A state of war exists between Israel and Iran for years.

Iran declared war on Israel ever since through its proxies.

  6. David, because constituents, people on blogs, traditional and social media express sentiments similar to those of Belle and Bruce, does not necessarily mean the analyses of both gentlemen are ‘viable,’ especially when one considers the ‘totality of circumstances.’ Bruce opined that the DLP has the best candidate in Thorne because he won CCS twice, and also referred to John Boyce who won the seat twice, in 2008 and 2013 for the DEMS. Boyce won the seat after the electorate became fed of the BLP, while Arthur’s arrogance and unpopularity were steadily increasing. At that time the DEMS, especially ‘the old guard,’ relied on hype to promote Thompson’s popularity as an alternative choice for PM. Remember they conspired to ‘over throw’ Mascoll. Thorne won the seat under similar circumstances, whereby the DLP’s popularity was declining, while Mottley’s was increasing and she was seen as ‘PM material.’ I do not believe the situation is as simple as Bruce is suggesting, without considering certain factors. Thorne’s ‘track record’ in CCS; people who worked hard and voted for him to ensure he was elected, feeling betrayed when he rejoined the DLP; given the fact that although the DLP has been singing ‘united we stand,’ while praying and taking photos hugging and smiling, in reality the division has widened and deepened since he rejoined the party. As such, the actions of DEMS who are ‘Ronnie O and new guard’ supporters would be interesting.

  7. @Artax

Thorne regaining the seat will depend on many factors like you suggest, % national swing away, how much BLP support he can retain coupled with being able to invigorate a dormant DLP base, the X factor is him being able to pull new voters. Agree with you, the analyses of these political talking heads too simplistic.

  8. “Thorne regaining the seat will depend on many factors like you suggest, % national swing away, how much BLP support he can retain coupled with being able to invigorate a dormant DLP base”

on the basis the public in the consituency voted for DLP not Thorne
(as expressed by 30 seats to diddly squat across the nation)

extrapolation / wag (wild ass guess) of next election figures are
how much BLP support he can retain = less than 5%
being able to invigorate a dormant DLP base = less than 5%
to regain his seat % swing will need to be over 24% (70% vs 22%)

a new minimal opposition is a far cry from a strong competitive opposition

Out with the Old and In with the New
Ronnie is a young and honest relatively clean candidate / leader for the future

the only swing on BU to DLP is from the blog man
praise for DLP is over egging the pudding

  9. It is a historical fact that we are still much worse off in 2024 than we were on the eve of the election in 2008 – despite the current government’s overall success. The DLP has done more damage to the country than slavery, hurricanes, volcanic ash and termites put together.

Therefore, I really do not understand why people want a party back in power that set a country back so much. Wishing back slavery is the only thing missing.

    Tron, always neutral, always balanced

  10. @ David

The irony of the ‘no-confidence motion’ debacle is that it was deemed ‘flawed and invalid’ by the same people whom it was tabled against.

The DLP’s Executive Council, led by presideny Yearwood and of which general secretary Blackett is a member, ruled that the motion ‘had several procedural flaws.’

According to media reports Hartley Reid said, “I submitted a vote of no-confidence against the president, the general secretary and the Executive Council.”
“And now I am hearing that the Executive Council sat and presided over a complaint about itself. I don’t know if that’s natural justice.”

It’s very interesting that, so far, we haven’t heard any comments from Ralph Thorne on this issue. Even to verify if he received or was notified of the invitation from Chastennet.

  11. “He (Bruce) added that loud calls from a section of the public for an opposition presence in Parliament further strengthened Thorne’s position.”

    @ David

It could be true that ‘Thorne’s position may be strengthened’ at the ‘national level.’
    But, what about ‘constituency level?’

Unfortunately for him, his election support is confined to Christ Church South ONLY…… the constituency where he has to solicit votes….. and NOT the entire island.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If the motion depends on Thorne being the LOO, the motion is flawed and a blind man on a trotting horse can spot the flaw.

“And where as in February, 2024 Mr. Ralph Thorne MP left the ruling Barbados
Labour Party (BLP) and became the Leader of the Opposition also appointing two
Senators, Mr. Ryan Walters and Ms. Tracia Watson (both members of the DLP)”

We opine that a positive national profile could generate some support from within a constituency. While constituents vote , there are some advantages to having national prominence.
If one has a negative national profile, it could be disadvantageous , when seeking votes in a constituency.
For example, if Dr. Munroe-Knight , becomes a candidate, we posit that her high profile national image could redound to her benefit.
We look at Sir Wes Hall and his entry into politics; he had a positive national image as a cricketer and it could be argued that was of some benefit to his success at the polls.
So, while constituents have the final word, a national profile could have some influence , which could be positive or negative.

  14. As the only opposition in the lower house Ralphie will get a lot of attention, you could say in equal amounts to the PM or BLP combined.

Time for a Reality Check 🕛🕧🕐🕜🕑🕝🕒
But, he is just a token opposition, with only a 3.33333333333% minority vote, so he can have no real effect, except for some dramatic theatrical diatribes like a Sunday sermon preacher possessed with the Holy Spirit or a Drama Queen moaning about everything like a vexed woman or a Chihuahua with a loud bark or a pussy who thinks he’s a lion.

Anyhow, it is not the Ralph Thorne Party, and it is the DLP who need the promotion to the public, which is why there was a shadow cabinet formed by the new young guard party president.

  15. @Artax

Based on Thorne’s recent comment, he is onside with Hartley Reid.

  16. @Artax

The big issue is how does Thorne solidify his position in the party. Yearwood has control of the executive.

    Fall in line!

DLP president urged to respect party traditions

    by COLVILLE MOUNSEY

    colvillemounsey@nationnews.com

PRESIDENT OF THE Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Dr Ronnie Yearwood is being urged to respect the traditions and conventions of the political party.

This was the admonition from party stalwart and former Minister of Education Ronald Jones last night during a DLP Christ Church zone meeting at St Christopher Primary School.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne revealed that he has plans to have a candid conversation with the General Council of the party this week, as it relates to the publicised leadership struggles of the party.

Thorne described his return to the DLP as a lesson in humility, noting the lack of embrace which he has received from the administration of the party.

    Internal struggles

Referencing the DLP’s internal party struggles, the most recent of which was a no-confidence motion last week against Yearwood, Jones said that the DLP president was being poorly advised.

He said that while one may harbour aspirations to be Prime Minister of Barbados, one must equally understand that circumstances change, and be willing to work with the person “chosen for the moment”.

“You can only be political leader of the Democratic Labour Party if you have a seat and we accepted Thorne as a member and therefore he is the political leader. I don’t care what your previous ambitions are, I don’t care what circumstances have changed, you have to recognise that circumstances change and work with them. Comrade president you should have been here today, somebody is advising you wrong. They can’t be your friends and your allies when they are advising you wrong,” Jones suggested.

“We find ourselves in a moment of challenge, where confusion seems to cloud the perception of some within

our ranks. Let me assert this clearly that there are persons in our midst who are confused, but the party itself is not confused,” he added.

Speaking to a capacity crowd at the auditorium, Jones made it clear that no one had the divine right to lead an institution.

“If I had to put my confidence in anybody at this time, at this moment, it would be him,” he said pointing to Thorne.

“Yet we witness a departure from our cherished conventions, everything that we do is not captured in a constitution, but there are traditions and conventions that govern and guide our path and help us make the journey.

“There are those who seem to believe that they are anointed, there is only one individual who has ever been anointed and that is Jesus Christ. Let us be clear that the path that is being laid is alien to the DLP, we must not eulogise the very foundation upon which our party stands…. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be Prime Minister, but once that is done, you work, you pledge your support and loyalty,” Jones said.

The outspoken DLP stalwart told the gathering that deferring to the man or woman for the moment does not mean that one’s time will not come. He referenced the age of Thorne and that of Yearwood, noting that the DLP president was the future of the party.

“I cannot immerse myself in hypocrisies, I have led many organisations in Barbados, and many are called for many reasons, but sometimes one comes forward for particular reasons and we don’t understand the providence. Therefore, we fight believing that we have lost something that we have not lost but rather we have gained.

“It frightens me because there are people who believe that they have lost something. There is a man for a moment, there is a woman for a moment. it does not mean that your time will not come, as human beings we have to recognise these things… If it is to be like this then we do not deserve to be,” a fired-up Jones said.

In his remarks, Thorne told party supporters that he was not airing the party’s dirty linen in public. However, he made it clear that he supported party member Hartley Reid’s right to bring the no-confidence motion, even though he was not consulted. He said that the party needed to put aside its internal issues, stressing that the public is ready to embrace a united DLP.

“Can we find it possible in this party to end up in a place of peace and harmony. When I came to the party, having endured all that I endured, I did not come with spite and vindictiveness. I have told you the experience that I had and how they had me ‘stran out,’ ashamed and frightened,” he said.

“The interest that people have in this Democratic Labour Party is a powerful message. Fellas behave nuh. What are you doing that for? The Constitution of the country calls me the Opposition Leader and if I come to the Democratic Labour Party, your constitution calls me the political leader. Behave nuh, behave,” Thorne declared.

  19. “The old guard is fighting back. The DLP is at a cross road. It is a party flailing for political life.”

You shouldn’t ever start a fight you can’t finish and instead of running off your big mouth with fight talk you just do it.

Ralphoe and his Old and Grey Guard are getting too big for their boots already after circa 6 weeks of circumstances changing.

Ralph’s 1 DLP seat belongs to BLP and he and the old and grey guard should STFU.

  20. Let’s do the real numbers. This is the kind of analysis that is not based on the number of words to have a column

In the 2022 election, Thorne had roughly 2200 out of 3100 votes.
    (1) there must be a personal component in those 2200 voters (they voted for the man and not the party)
    (2) In general, there was low voter turn out across the notion. I think the turn out was much less than 50%. Those who stayed at home are becoming energized and want change
(I could research and give you the percentage that voted or stayed at home; I could even focus on CCS, but I cannot write and spoon feed at the same time)
    (3) There were about 700 DLP votes. These have to be diehards and can most likely be counted on to vote DLP again.
    (4) With a 61-0, this administration has been less than impressive.
    Scams continue,
    flawed legislation,
    no integrity legislation,
    no transparency,
a coming constitution that scares the hell out of anyone with a modicum of common sense,
checks floating through windows and landing on desks,
    white hoax,
    Savvy,
    Port scanners
    Steal houses
    HOPEless houses
    Bungled slogans
    Bungled marijuana legislation
    …
Starting with over 700 votes in his pocket, Mr Thorne has many pluses. When Mr Thorne highlights that Mia’s touch turns everything to a pile of shit, he may have an easy stroll back into parliament.

  21. At my age, I am starting to fear that my memory is in the decline. The fact that I can easily list 10 transgression makes me wonder about the 10 I have forgotten

    Vaccine scam

They are coming back, but slowly. Please help me with the others

  22. The Great Pretenders
Perhaps more people should pretend that the most popular party represents their beliefs and infiltrate them and when voted in they can switch and cross over. Until the loop hole that the constituency seat is carried over when they defect is closed, this will be a winning formula for the loser parties to obtain seats by hook and crook.

  23. David, Ronald Jones comments reminds me of similar comments reportedly made members of the then ‘old guard,’ advising Mascoll ‘his time will come because he is to future of the party, but should give way to Thompson because, at that time, he was the man of the moment.’ Despite what his fans believe, based on his reactions, so far, to Thorne rejoining the DLP, Yearwood has proven himself to be ‘Ronnie (wh)O,’ more so than ‘Ronnie O.’ He is definitely not an Obama.

  24. I am amused.
I like to see how some come here and discuss politics without looking at both sides of the coin. They can tell you of the ‘lost decade’ and somehow ignore the ‘sick six’ years.

It is appalling to see how we jump for joy at slick speeches and foreign trips and ignore the multiple major mistakes made by the current administration.

Luckily for ‘her’, a people of words only want sweet phrases and ignore bungling actions.

  25. Last comment …
    Don’t fall behind
    RonnieGO is the new name.
    Have a great day, all

  26. The problem, as with any election in general, is the +/-% swing for and against the opposing parties. And, despite a ‘repetition of woes,’ die hard BEES will vote for their party’s candidate. So, taking the argument to a ‘logical conclusion,’ the BLP’s candidate should start with at least 75% of Thorne’s 2,200 votes in 2018, or 1,600 ‘votes in his/her pocket.’ If we ‘factor in’ those constituents from traditional BLP households that are of voting age next election, voting ‘B’ because of traditional support and those households feeling betrayed by Thorne rejoining the DLP, who within their minds are the ‘enemy.’ ‘At the end of the day,’ issues such as ‘scams, Savvy (a DLP made problem), steel houses, bungled slogans,’ etc, do not mean anything to ‘die hard supporters.’ Although it maybe true that ‘those who stayed at home are becoming energised and want change,’ ‘anyone with a modicom of commonsense’ would conclude that between 2008 and 2024, BOTH DLP & BLP administrations have ‘less than impressive.’ Should they continue with the BLP….. ‘see wuh happen and hope fuh de best,’ or, return to the DLP, bearing in mind the ‘lost decade,’ constant disunity and power struggle infighting that embraced the party immediately after Barrow’s, added to the fact they have so far not articulated any alternative, progressive socio-economic policy initiatives, which essentially raise questions as to whether or not they are a viable alternative. The voter turnout may be less than 50% next election.

  27. @Artax

The DLP s in a difficult situation. Thorne crossing has accentuated an existing issue. There is a vacuum of leadership in the DLP. It is a party the public has little confidence at the moment.

  28. @Artax

After all the analysis what is left? Still an apathetic and cynical electorate.

  29. A man who spent his entire parliamentary career loitering on the back benches of the BLP Gov’t crosses the floor and suddenly he is anointed as saviour of the DLP. I predicted the emergence of the turmoil likely to envelop the DLP when the newly minted LOO nominated two Senators from the DLP without as much as a “how de do” to the leader of the party.

It didn’t take much of a calculating mind to see that the knives were out for Yearwood when a member of the “old guard” (H Benn) anointed Thorne as a future leader when he hadn’t officially joined the party.

I predicted that the shotgun marriage was likely to fail as the seeds of distrust had been planted and fertilized by those termed “the old guard”. Here is a quote from the good book “a house be divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. … And if a household is divided against itself, that household will not last.

  30. @Sargeant The challenge for the DLP, it didn’t have a voice in the House. This is how a political party accrues credibility, grow brand and relevance.

  31. DLP can style it out bitching about BLP strengths and weaknesses until the cows come home, or they can be positive and constructive with some of their own creative ideas to offset or negate the negatives in both parties and to make and promise something positive overall. People like to choose original radical next level thinkers to pave the way, someone who is really saying something, that resonates. They’ve got a long way to go…

  32. I agree wholeheartedly with Sargeant’s April 15, 2024, 11:31 AM contribution, and have expressed comments similar to those therein.

  33. @David
    Yours @11.36 am
@Sargeant The challenge for the DLP, it didn’t have a voice in the House
    ++++++++++
And given the most recent events it may revert to that state of affairs after the next election….

  34. David, the DLP did not have a ‘voice in the House,’ but had ‘voices’ in the Senate, namely independent senators who are known affiliates of that political party. Peter Wickham hosted last night’s edition of CBC’s ‘The People’s Business,’ which focused on the matter re this thread. Guests were Dr. Belle, Dr. George Brathwaite and Devaron Bruce. I found it strange ‘technical difficulties’ prevented callers from participating in the discussion.

  35. “And given the most recent events it may revert to that state of affairs after the next election….”

if you cannot build a united party..
… you cannot build a nation

DLP are the Chinese Houses and Barbados Roads of Bajan Politics a legacy of the good old days that never were..

  36. The burning question is why can’t the two R’s squash the beef to get along and work together. It’s okay to have more than one perspective and approach to fight against a common cause. It could be a good cop bad cop type scenario where the newbie Thorne is the attack dog for leading the opposition and the President is the academic planner for the direction of the party future. A split between the two will probably take their supporters in the current drama with them where both sides are arguable, whether the coup attempt is on point or bang out or order, some like those who play clean and take the high road to move up and others like those who will play down and dirty to win by any means necessary and take the low road. There are many ways of playing the game, to play with integrity is better than cheating.

  37. @Sargeant

You know what some say, a year is a long time in politics.

  38. @Artax

What you described is not generally accepted as fully representative of party flex. It is not the same for what we are discussing.

  39. David, note the word, ‘voices’ is surrounded by commas. Although I acknowledge the ‘political dynamics’ are different, party politics and collective collaboration on issues would’ve influenced their contributions in the Senate during the DLP’s tenure. Surely the party politics and collaboration would not continue to exist because they are currently ‘independent’ senators. And, since the DEMS have ‘legitimate’ voices in the Senate through Walters and Watson, those DLP affiliated senators will most likely vote along ‘party lines’ with ‘dem.’

  40. @ David April 15, 2024 at 1:14 pm

“You know what some say, a year is a long time in politics.”
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The DLP would stand a much better chance in winning the next general elections under the leadership of Senator Watson than that of either Thorne or Yearwood.

We can see the Senator being easily elected to the HoA in the very near future with the possibility of those two Rs seen by the disenchanted voters as mere carpetbaggers.

Not only does she have that ‘fresh’ and genuine appeal among a wide cross section of Barbadians but is politically untainted (much unlike the two “Rs”).

Moreover- despite being a trained lawyer-
she has a much greater grasp of economic and financial matters than either of the two blinkered lawyers.

Ms Watson comes across as a person genuinely concerned about the ‘continuing’ exploitation of the average Bajan consumer and has earned almost national hero status as a result of her untiring battle against that greedy foreign-owned behemoth controlling the major economic asset in Barbados.

If she does throw her leadership hat (covering that regal braid of natural hair pointing to the Sky) into political ring she would be a real alternative to the ‘NATO’ MAM whose big red bag has turned out to be filled with nothing more than a load of empty promises and false hopes laced with double doses of hypocrisy.

Three Cheers for Tricia, the DLP Joan of Arc!

  41. @Artax

The DLP voice in upper house is perceived as being aligned with breakaway Thorne and not the DLP. From the beginning some of the most discerning among us detected this was the old guard attempting to reassert itself as another election appears in the distance. It is not looking good for the DEMS one has to admit.

  42. @Miller

    You are not that naive?

Commanding the party machinery calls for a political nous that comes from being a student of politics over a long period of time. Watson maybe respected but wouldn’t she encounter some of the same problems Yearwood is currently?

  43. @ David April 15, 2024 at 6:30 pm

That’s why the voters require a politically-clean and innocent person to lead them during the coming socio-economic storms; just like what your sweet Saviour Jesus says about “a little child shall lead”.

As it stands, under the current twin of political party grasshoppers, the DLP is unelectable as the next party in power.

The people will NOT entrust any of them with the reins of government.

The people (voters) do not want to see any of the so-called old guard of DLP – behaving as kingmakers- back in power.

That party has to be ‘born again’ with the political virgin Tricia leading the path to electoral redemption.
The DLP must have its First Queen of the D’s.

The likes of Ryan Walters and Kemar Stuart can play a supporting role in that beleaguered party’s resurrection.

  44. @Millet

You are too aware the Barbados is not politically mature to vote on issues.

  45. Hahahaha! The Miller wants a woman in charge of the rebirth! Yuh see wuh uh tell yuh?

Bible bullshit is not his thing! Neither is moronic misogyny.

I wonder what his pal “the Messenger” (lol) has to say about that.

Then again, he voted for a woman in charge too in 2018. Desperation disposed of dogma!

    Murdaaaaaah!

No problem can be solved without first identifying said problem.

The problem is not men in charge. The problem is not women in charge. The solution is not all women in charge. And OBVIOUSLY, (since it has been tried for decades) the solution is not all men in charge.

The problem is the WRONG MEN AND THE WRONG WOMEN IN CHARGE.

And with the system and the electorate being as it is, the right men and the right women will not be welcomed.

The world system is against us. But we could be doing better REGARDLESS if corruption and entitlement were not rife.

As John A always says, “A US dollar saved is like a US dollar earned.”

Anyone who aspires to be prime minister is suspect. In my mind, the right leader is a reluctant one who has leadership thrust upon him or her, not one who fights for it.

  47. 61-0 does not convince me to that the country has completely written off the DLP. Perhaps the second 30-0 can be blamed on mistakes made in the lead up to and in the election itself.

    Here are a few
    (1) The old DLP administration never apologized to the country for its bad behavior. Predictably, the current mismanaging administration will not apologized for their batch of misdeeds after 2018.
    (2) The ‘glorious years’ phrase displayed arrogance, reinforced the failure to apologize and a party out of touch with the feelings of the electorate.
    (3) The ‘Guy’ from London gave DePeiza a battle and then disappeared. This demonstrated selfishness, a hunger for power and no sympathy for the electorate.

In 2022, the 2018 guys were mainly absent in action but their arrogance and unapologetic behavior were still present and that was punished by the people.

  48. Mia is no Midas
Post 2018 BLP behavior has given the opposition enough ammunition to launch a credible and sustained attack.

In addition, the empty speeches, the millions of frequent flyer miles, the inability to maintain focus, the easy dismissal of possible corruption and the numerous initiatives started and failing has shown that Mia does not have a green or golden thumb.
