You are hitting the nail on the head.
The more Angela Skeete commentsโฆโฆโฆโฆ.. the more she demonstrates her stupidity.
Rather than lay the blame of the current crime situation at the feet of this inept inactive DLP administration, the abysmal failure as Attorney General, Adriel Brathwaite and an inadequate justice systemโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ..
โฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ. she is blaming the unions for illegal guns entering the island.
What an ignorant is ass yard-fowlโฆโฆ.. it disgusts me to know that someone can be so stupid.
On Thursday October 14, 2010 Suleman Esuf was granted bail of 1 million dollars with two sureties of $500,000.00 in the Bridgetown Traffic Court. We recall Esuf was charged with having a traffickable quantity of cannabis stated as 2778.38 pounds with a street value of 11 million dollars.ย It should come as no surprise that Esuf was granted bail. In our system of jurisprudence a person is considered innocent until proven guilty. In a case which does not involve rape or murder and if you have the money for the best lawyers little time is spent on remand. In this case Esuf had a cooling-off at Dodds prison for one month. He returns to court March 8, 2011.
BARBADOS UNDERGROUND
“Swift justice for ALL transgressors. But the only way to achieve that is via an outside force like FBI/ US or Scotland Yard/ UK and then we should be concerned whether they could be bought!”
….ah know ah like to beat up on US and UK…
But those halfassed crooks in little Barbados dont have what it takes to bribe those dudes from FBI or Scotland Yard…these dudes would know that the ones that call themselves high class society rob the people who are unable to fight back, to survive and bribe government ministers, police and anyone who can protect their scams….by big city standards, the so called elite in Barbados are small time, petty crooks.
Those agencies would feel insulted being bribed by such little, backward small island people…..who they know will boast and talk about bribing FBI and Scotland Yard officers to anyone on the island who would listen…
Besides…bringing these small island criminals to justice is the highlight of these agents careers…
…and as things stand, either the government seek help from outside agencies to rid the island if these parasites….or let things remain the same and cope with escalating violence and deaths that their QEH hospital is not equipped to handle.
Vincent…, why do you still believe that no one knows that many in the private sector have been involved in money laundering, drug importation and distribution and gun importation for decades…now it’s their children and grandchildren controlling these little illegal networks…what makes you think that after 40 years, it is still a secret on the island, when most of them have to rely heavily on the small dealers in the depressed areas to retail their illegal products..
How do you think most of them made their money and built all those building around Warrens and other areas.
Let all pause for a while to examine this another of the ole man’s posters.
For those on the ANTI DLP bandwagon it would seem like a message that decries the Nitwit Attorney General Brafwit.
For the disgruntled within the Royal Barbados Police Force (250 of wnom I am reliably informed are nothing more than thugs) it would seem to be a remark which is focusing on the Acting Commissioner of Police Tyronne Griffith who BLESS HIS POOR SOUL is dealing with problems on 3 to 4 fronts (the criminals on the street, the criminals in the Force, the criminals outside the force that wish him out the force and the criminals in the House of Assembly – BOTH SIDES)
Now a feller like Holder? and his followers may very well come and take a copy of this flier and start to circulate it just like the BLP does do with the Chris Decimal Bond Stinkliar fliers.
But each of us should just pause a while and look at the ambulance in the backdrop.
What does that portend?
IT speaks to the fact that as soon as night descends? our streets are now a warzone WHICH WE HAVE TO AVOID on pain of death.
It speaks to the victims of these reckless bullets BOTH THE “DESERVING” sorry the targets & the unfortunate walkers by
It speaks to us so called lawbiding citizens who now are fearful of calling the names of the fellers who we know selling guns, buying guns, renting guns, importing guns AND BULLETS be they white black or yellow.
Nitwit Brafwit and Tyrone Griffith ent shoot nobody but incredibly we got a political party here asking dem to resign forthwith and we dumb sheeple that we are encouraging dem.
Someone needs to tell Holder dat dis article and his pronouncements are a load of shy*e but not for the reasons that Cadogan nor Angela would espouse but purely because he has refused to focus on the real criminals.
It becomes apparent from this illy crafted submission that Holder of BIM has a personal issue with these messengers, particularly the Attorney General Nitwit, who we can all acknowledge is incompetent BUT SO WAS DALE MARSHALL, AND AG Fumbles AND AG MUGABE!
THE THING IS THAT, Barring WW&C, none of dem/us ent got de balls to come here and call the names of the criminals, not one soul.
It is like the born again Christians and these Apostles, dem beleive in Jesus Christ or so they profess but not one of them is going to come here and say a work about the Dieties of any other Middle Eastern faith.
DISHONEST Carson C. Cadogan, you like to “quote from every outdated newspaper article you put your hands on.”
But you won’t quote the articles in which you are reported to have duped a number of people while canvassing for Steve Blackett during the 2013 election campaign.
You are on record as having duped a number of people in the Water Hall Land and Bank Hall areas.
I you want to experience “social unrest,” risk that shiite with these angry young people while campaigning for the next general elections.
Carson…ewere is Esuf’s court file…….
…..why did the file disappear and why is Esuf and the police who took the bribe to disappear the file, not both in prison for perverting the course of justice?
Why is the attorney general not looking into this conspiracy.
Artaxerxes August 8, 2017 at 1:45 PM
Angela is entirely correct.
Instead of cooperating with the Royal Barbados Police Force, they have disregarded their pleas for help in regards to stemming the flow of illegal coming into to our ports.
The Commissioner Of Police is at his wits ends in dealing with the Customs officers who seem to believe that they are a Law unto themselves.
Plus they are constantly walking off the Job leaving our borders exposed. Only the Lord knows how many guns come through the ports when they are on their walk offs and go slows. Maybe that is part of their plan, they tell the miscreants when they will be walking off so that the guns can be easily cleared with no fuss at all.
To back it all up they are encouraged in their Lawlessness by the NUPW and the Barbados Workers Union.
The Unions are part of the problem not part of a solution how come they have never said ilone word about Charles Herbert advocating chaos on barbados social enviroment but had no qualms in joining hands with him in marches
If it walks like a duck then it is a duck.
Remember those biting words ” up de thing” on who and whose.
Lol….let the politicians and ministers take this for a joke and go around these armed young people who are definitely pissed and unable to articulate their feeling…, telling them lies and giving them false hope and empty promises to secure votes just to slither their way into parliament,,, and they will know..
Carson….ah bet ya cant pull the same trick ya did in 2013, next year in 2018…neither you nor any politician/government minister will get away with it again….
….those 2013 lies to the electorate was the game changer for all of you politicians. ..lol
Even HERBERT “”up de ting”” by promising “”…Social Unrest”” in a letter to the Prime Minister.
Had he been in any country other than Barbados he would have been arrested and dragged before a Court of Law and face the consequences of his reckless words. Also giving the Prime Minister a deadline to get back to him of 4.30 pm.
I could not see him writing anything like that to Trump.
Ever since the blp lost the election buzz words like doom and gloom ! Chaos! and latest “up de thing”have been gingerly used to send chilling and psychological messages across the political landscape of barbados.
Not surprsing that the undergrund world of gunrunners have seized the opportunity rooted in fear to cause further destruction of barbados social enviroment
Any one with a brain would understand the political dynamics of messaging which when planted can attract devious and anti social behaviour in society.
Mia with out a text book form of diplomacy also uses negative messages to launch covert attacks on the country and as a lawyer she ought to know better borne on a the logic cause and effect
The Unions voice on crime and violence produces a ringing sound of “say what” got to be joking when the unions participate in a march whose head and chief bottle washer penned an anti-social letter to blackmail govt or else
A lot of the old pensioners on Barbados Underground are responsible for the violence in Barbados as well.
Their comments are encouraging civil disobedience in our fair land. Lack of respect for those in authority, one man by the name “”Vincent Edwards”” is salivating at the thought of the Trade Union movement shutting down Barbados which would cause every Bajan to suffer.
These are the kinds of people being encouraged to comment on Barbados Underground. All in favour of the crooked Barbados Labour Party and chaos.
If I were the Chief Police Inspector of Barbados, I would jettison all notions of being political correct in dealing with the rising scale of crime in Barbados.
There has been a frightening correlation in the unstoppable surge in crime ever since the arrival of the Indo-Trinidadian business community to the shores of Barbados. The Indo-Trini could not believe that our government would allow them to become the dominant economic player on the island. When it became evident to them that our government was pliable, gullible and extremely naive they then embarked on a strategy to bribe their way to influence government officials and our politicians.
What we are currently witnessing is a blatant power grab by this group of maverick buccaneers. It would not surprise me in the slightest if they are collaborating with the numerous South American drug cartels in order to facilitate the movement of drugs and guns to and out of the island. They have calculated correctly that our government is too weak and incapable of preventing them from conducting their business.
I am well aware that we cannot pin the blame, solely, on one group of people but we should not underestimate that this group have spread their tentacles far and wide. They have to be checked, emasculated and removed.
All this negative political messaging that the blp smart asses and operatives have planting across barbados political landscape has borne bitter fruit. Enjoy jac .a.sses
Who government and minister of health should also be keeping an extremely sharp eye on, without taking bribes is Peter Kutappa-Harris who has been working very hard with Dumbville Inniss and other traitors to privatize health care in Barbados…to rob bajans blind and cause unnecessary deaths…for his and his family’s personal financial gain…
Here is the head of A&E at QEH…..Dr. Chaynie Williams..whining on and on about QEH and it’s lack of this, that and the next, we already know there are those like the doctors Brian Charles and Jerome Walcott who already sold out QEH for Harris and themselves to benefit and Charles made sure that a better qualified doctor was overlooked to put this whining Williams in place as head of A&E for Harris to use as he sees fit….which will obviously compromise the efficiency of QEH.
https://www.barbadostoday.bb/2016/07/20/violence-takes-heavy-toll-on-qeh/
What Williams is not saying is that she owns 5% shares in Sandy Crest clinic, that has really bad publicity these days ….and that she works 3 days a week at Sandy Crest for Harris,…
….now those who know him and his criminal activites well would know he would do anything to get what he wants….and that is controlling all healthcare on the island….aided by weak, corrupt politicians, ministers and doctors.
Why is Williams head of A&E at QEH hospital.
Well well
She owns 5% but working for Harris?
Wrong Angela Skeete, It is the lies and incompetence from 2008!
Govt needs to throw a shot across the bow of the unions and instead of having a cohesive meeting betwen the two. The govt as employer of the public servants calls a meeting of engagement which would adress civil servants problems
The unions have demonstrated that there are political auctionees activitely engaged in a politics of strangulation
If you own 5 or 10 or 15% of a company……..and you work for the company….you are working for those with controlling interest in the company 51% and over, since you do not have that controlling interest….you are an employee, salaried, your shares area separate income,.
BTW….Dr. Tamara Nancoo, orthopedic surgeon, brought into the island by Harris and given a position at QEH…..a much better qualified doctor was overlooked so Nancoo who also works for Harris at Bayview hospital….could be given that position.
And in true dishonest style complete with conflict of interest, Nancoo also exams patients/ claimants with cases against CGI Insurance and writes up false medical reports, lying on the claimant’s true injuries to compromise the case in the supreme court.
You have demons compromising the island for their personal gain, while government ministers and others help them…..so when the violence breaks out….the government is helpless.
Enuff…..If you own 5 or 10 or 15% etc of a companyโฆโฆ..and you work for the companyโฆ.you are working for those with controlling interest in the company of 51% and over, since you do not have that controlling interestโฆ.you are an employee, salaried, your shares are a separate income……
Shareholders do not necessarily have to work for the company in which they hold shares.
The AG clarified that this was a shootout between two gang members that willed to the crowed streets. Although a single violent act it resulted in multiple injuries and a death.
If our esteemed Prime Minister and his motley crew of ministers are unable to guarantee the safety of those revellers who are likely to attend this year’s “Crapover” festival then they must cancel it with immediate effect.
Angela Yardfowl…ah thought yall said Mia was NOT a lawyer..
It’s obvious there was bound to be a manifestation of violence, the island is flooded with weapons and infested with angry youth, easily manipulated and unable to articulate their feelings in any other manner devoid of violence, they do not know how to express what they feel without becoming angry and lashing out…put guns in their hands and you have instant death for innocent people.
Round up the gun importers and distributors…or you will get more violence and death.
Carson C. Cadogan
What does Charles Herbert, the unions and the peaceful march have to do with a group of angry, lawless young men, โwho seem to believe that they are a Law unto themselves,โ shooting at each other?
Trying to attribute every and anything to Charles Herbert wonโt change the fact that the march was peaceful and achieved the desired objective.
Itโs about time you and the other yard-fowl idiot accept this.
And there isnโt any VALIDITY in your trying to blame the unions for government not placing cameras at the sea and air ports.
Recall Christopher Sinckler said he was in receipt of information from a reliable source which suggested the BLP held a โsecret meetingโ at which a plan was discussed to retrench over 10,000 civil servants, if they were elected to office in 2013.
After promising Barbadians that there would be no lay-offs in the civil service, this inept DLP administration announced a decision to retrench 3,000 employees from various government departments.
Despite PROTEST from the unions, the DLP WENT AHEAD and RETRENCHED over 5,000 public sector employees.
Additionally, the Ministry of Education did not pay teachers for the days on which they staged protest action, even though the BUT and BSTU spoke out against it.
Under these circumstances, to suggest the unions are preventing this inept DLP administration from installing cameras at the ports of entry is pure political rhetoric spewed by two DLP yard-fowls as a means of covering up the inaction of the abysmal failures called Adriel โNitwitโ Brathwaite and Freundel โSleeping Giantโ Stuart.
If the Acting CoP has intelligence to prove that certain activities are perpetrated at the ports of entry that may affect national security and is serious enough to warrant the installation of cameras, surely you must agree that the unions cannot prevent government from doing what is in the best interest of Barbados.
It’s obvious yardfowls are trying to justify in advance Adriel Nitwit and Fruendel doing nothing about installing cameras at ALL ports to lock up the importers and traffickers of weapons and drugs…probably afraid of who will get caught in the net and what they will say…….lol.
They had a lot of big talk about a silly facebook video, but when faced with real violence in real time, complete with dead bodies and dozen injuries. …they back away.
David wrote, ” The AG clarified that this was a shootout between two gang members ”
20 people were shot and 1 killed.
And…… how many people does he think are members of the 2 gangs?
For Tourism sake the story has to be sanitized and spun but it is gut check time.
WW&C
is emerging as BU’s resident fascist. “Round them up!”
And she’s been calling Donald Trump names! For shame!
This is how they do it in the Six.
OK.
Now Dat DE Attorney General Nitwit Braffit has caught up with details Ole man’s analysis of the situation design Ole man going help wunna a likkle
Wunna has got to send heavily armed police officers into the hometown of both the gangs every couple of days for about 3 months.
Now keep up with DE Ole man.
Do not have no schedule for these visits cause wunna policemenses Dat is crooks going warn demand of death nights wunna coming
But dese disruptive tactics and the oxygen searchespecially is going to be enough to get wunna some drugs and small kids Ives.
But DE real purpose of these visits is to **** & ****when that happens it will cause *** and *** which will result in *** so half wunna problem solved right there
I got to run now but I going come back and tell wunna bout phase two
Do who DE Ole man tell wunna and tings gine go well but if wunna do all wunna regular tings dem it ent going end
Chadster….you would say nothing if I had said round up the little, misguided, miseducated cretins shooting off guns in the ghetto or at the festival yesterday…but since ya know I meant the white and indian criminals funding the importation of illegal guns on the island…ya got talk.
…how is ya friend 45fraudster doing, he got me in his head and cant get me out….tell him he is weak…lol
BTW…….Mark Zuckerberg of facebook just told off the orange gorilla trump, everybody is getting a piece of cussing him…I am taking mine.
Maybe the government should also consider asking RCMP for help….with 3 agencies, that gun importation and trafficking ring on the island will be cleaned up in no time….
…what we should be really asking, does the government really want to clean up the illegal guns, drugs and money laundering. …..or are they getting political mileage just from talking about it only, without actually doing anything to rid the island of the monsters both governments created.
The Ag might have clarify what caused the violence of yesterday but what one can not lose sight of the underlying triggers which can create a breeding ground for gang related violence and certain convert actions associated to negative messages which can be highlighted to planted seeds of doubt and confusion among the masses
Gang are mostly associated with the drug culture a cluture which seeks out the most vulnerable in society and it does no country any good when the so called intelligent send coded political messages laced with hot trigger buzz words which in effect gives reasons and opportunity for the drug and gun underworld to blantaly set up shop in civilzed society where the most vulnerable are easy target because of lack of financial support and a need for quick money. while knowing that the operators and the brains behind the drug business they can easily go undetected
@ angela Skeete August 8, 2017 at 11:59 AM
โThe port of entries must be thoroughly supervised and meteciously guarded because there is no doubt that there are foxes guarding the hen house
Illegal guns can only cross the border through corrupt sources and there is no doubt that our point of entries is where all this illegal activity is rooted and eventually find way in the hands of criminal
As for the Unions there have become a major part of barbados problems cae and point conducting and being part of marches inflitrated with characters who have plans to bring chaos in the street.โ
How come you have NOT yet implicated Commisiong the Commie in this grand scheme to destabilize Barbados, both socially and economically?
Wasn’t he seen as the baddie for stopping the fingerprinting scam at the same ports?
Maybe if the fingerprinting thingie had been that vitally important to the national security agenda- as โso wellโ argued 2 years ago by the conveniently dumb bossman- those many guns and wicked foreigners with their dope would not have had its corrupting influence on the poor innocent Bajan youth; many of whom were brought up in the hundreds of churches now โdisgracingโ the social landscape of Barbados and indeed Jamaica which you are emulating in all its cultural and economic pathways to social decay and destruction according to Carson Carrion Cadog(gone) Bajan Sodom & Gomorrah under the BLP?
Until white collar criminals like Leroy Greenverbs de Parris and the Michel(le) Carry-away-a-ton speaker of the House of โhonourablyโ corrupt men and women are brought to face the full weight of the law and justice is brought to bear on them for shortchanging the taxpayers the now sliding backwards Barbados will continue to suffer from the viciously revengeful tail of Karma the bitch of all injustices taking place in your once proud land.
The small-time criminals from the ghettoes with their โhigh-powered shootiesโ โimportedโ by those higher up big boys living in the highest heights with direct access to US$ and behind-the-scenes business facilitation like the importation of rotten chicken wings are nothing more than easy targets for the political class looking for alibis to fool the masses.
David
We remember well how David Thompson made crime and violence the centerpiece of 2 or 3 elections.
Themes given him by the political consultants from Washington.
And every other time in the last 25 years the BLP or DLP, when in opposition, had crime and violence as their battle cry.
If there are two political missives Thompson should be remember for they would be crime and violence and family values. Both consultant catch phrases.
What do these things mean? And after much energy is expended around elections on these/this issues, win or loss, old man river keeps flowing along.
No change in the anatomy of anything, except making them worse.
@Pacha
Interesting to observe that as Barbados continues its journey to the bottom a political narrative remains the cry from the partisans. May God help us!
@David
But the issue is political at its roots–“a society is more than an economy.” How can we frame an argument about the social decay and ignore or devalue the influence of a bad economy entrenched in political mammaguy and ineptness? Thompson and the Dems got a lot to answer for.
Artax,
“…you NEVER have anything of value to add to this forum other than partisan shiite!!!!!”
So do you Artax, so do you!!!
David,
Do you remember during the Sanford administration there was an upsurge of youth involved in violence; walking around with cutlasses in their pants, and wearing double pants? How did Sandi stop it? He had the members of the Defence force, patrolling with the police and stopping youth on the street and making them disrobe. Although there was animosity at first, he persisted and the perpetrators and would be perpetrators soon stopped doing this activity. Drastic action needs to be taken and urgently.
@enuff
Don’t disagree however note BU inserted the word partisan. Some issues require consensus building if there is a danger in the whole system being compromised.
@Alvin
Agree that extraordinary times like now we require extraordinary interventions.
@ Alvin Cummins
At least Iโm not an old, senile DLP yard-fowl โhas beenโ who never understands anything he readsโฆโฆ..
Ohhhhh, yes, Alvinโฆโฆ… itโs you Iโm referring to, which means โyou NEVER have anything of value to add to this forum other than partisan shiiteโ as well.
Alvin
So what is stopping this PM from doing a Sandi???
Vincent, catching a fella with a cutlass is vastly different to one with a gun….as the Piece-man suggested above a few fatalities may ensue.
A comprehensive sweep or the infamous US stop n frisk method is still doable of course but it needs to be carefully planned and very well executed…and consider it has to be done several times across the island.
For all practical purposes the first one should be a simultaneously effort at multiple locations….but
that would be a quite difficult to execute…
Whatever they do they need to employ the services of Bajan Helicopters and those from their RSS brethren.
Anyone enough of that.
These folks know their business or they have experienced US DEA and related experts to consult …inactivity must be deliberate therefore and disturbing as it suggests extremely ulterior motives or gross inepititude.
In just three hours, the Accident and Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) treated 22 people, including 20 with gunshot wounds.
In a second media release Monday night, the QEH gave more details from the activation of the Incident Command around 7:50 p.m. until it was closed at 10:36 p.m.
In addition to the shooting victims, two others, one with stab wounds and another who had been in a vehicle accident, were also treated.
One man succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting on the Spring Garden Highway at the climax of Grand Kadooment, while another person was undergoing emergency surgery.
The injured comprised 15 males and seven females, among them five minors.
Four people have been admitted and ten were seen and discharged. Those discharged included patients suffering with soft tissue injuries and orthopaedic injuries who will continue to be managed on an outpatient basis.
The remaining seven patients have minor injuries and are currently waiting to be seen.
In addition, the Venue Operating Centre at Spring Garden informed it had seen one additional victim who received a superficial gunshot wound to the left side and was treated at the scene and discharged. There were also three persons who witnessed the incident and suffered from acute panic attacks. They have also been seen and discharged. (PR/SAT)
@Insider, you know the above because u have seen the evidence one assumes…you can’t share it here obviously and the authorities can’t or will not use it to bring prosecutions….
Thus at this point this interesting info in just that….
A bit of a slander also…but heh.
It is not just the ports of entry. Barbados is an island and a lot of drugs and guns can be
delivered on the beach at night.
A few years ago I was told not to go fishing on the beach at night,
Insider. .ya cant put blame on US Embassy…their agencies have to be requested and invited by the Barbados government, if the ministers were serious about stopping the major gun importers, money launderers and drug traffickers on the island, they would invite these agencies in to conduct the necessary investigations,be cause the local authorities are obviously too close to the situations to be effective and are most times hampered in their jobs by the same government ministers.
If another month passes and the government still refuses to request outside help…you know they have no intention of disrupting the flow of guns into the depressed areas and into the hands of misguided, miseducated youth, to stop the violence.
It will be business as usual.
Hants , They had a “war” at Miami Beach in Enterprise a few years back plenty nuff bullets flew. Bottomline —the Police should know in a small island where the vulnerable beaches are mostly Sth and West coasts. They should have CIs all over.
