..the RSS also need to lock up its members who give CLEARANCE to traffickers, telling drug runners and gun traffickers when itโs safest to enter the islandโฆ
Fatherless unemployables evolving as expected. 3rd generation and breeding.
Gun amnesties do not work, all they ever netted in BIM was antiques from honest citizens.
Gaol does not work; it is a badge of rank to these people.
More laws are not needed, we have more than enough. We also have enough police and they are very well armed.
What is needed is NAZI ‘surrender the Jews or your life will be made very miserable as a consequence’ tactics. These people couldn’t exist without their social infrastructure. Communities harbouring criminals need to be turned upside down. Everyone knows where they are.
National conscription is the only way to combat the further evolution of the virus.
Is there a law that says containers must be taken to the homes of importers and businesses BEFORE being thoroughly stripped, searched by police, task force officials and sniffed out by dogs.
That should be a new law going forward…no containers can leave the port BEFORE being stripped.
The AG and ministers are acting like it’s the drug and gun traffickers and importers are the ones responsible for legislating and enforcing the laws of the land….and not the elected ministers….why do they continue to act that way and have for decades, both governments.
…unless they are one and the same.
Based on Carson Cadogan’s arguments above, a major root of the problem is the incompetence of the police commissioner.
Wuh…how can the head of the state agency responsible for law and order be so sure of such blatant illegal activities as the importation of guns via the port … and not a single arrest; not a single raid; not a single surveillance tape- audio or video; …… NOTHING WAS DONE….
Shiite man!!!
Bushie can understand if John Doe made such statements and accusations…
…or even angela….
BUT how does the commissioner become aware of such high level crime …. and do nothing but complain about unions….?
Perhaps he is related to Froon.
…Frustrated…the white and indian communities also need to be turned upside down by police, why am I the only one calling for this when I know, that many of these 2 community’s members are deeply involved in and finance and control the horror unfolding because they are the major importers of drugs and guns on the island.
…and Carson….ya see that Bounty that the government been protecting in his drug dealing…. those containers of drugs and whatever else he imports…yall need to lock him up…regardless if he is Mara Thompson’s common law son in law or not, regardless if he and Michael Lashley control the drug trade in St. Philip or not, something has to be done.
BTW….does Bounty still hold a government job, still being paid a salary by taxpayers.
@Carson C. Ca-Dog-an
Right thinking Barbadians know your kind in the DLP need a state of emergency to finish your evil deeds
Well, Barbados Port cannot handle any more container unstuffing, this is why they are moved to businesses.
Years ago the Port invested in an extremely expensive container x-ray machine so all moving off-site for unstuffing would be scrutinised. That machine is no longer being used.
Let’s not forget that one of our ministers is openly financially supported by one of the biggest dopers in the history of this country, who now also holds a civil service job. I would love to see the CV that netted him his current position. He would certainly be an import/export expert.
Well Well
Word on the streets is that the guns are coming in through white people and Indians.
Then ya have an insurance executive who is also a known trafficker who has a brother who is a pilot in the RSS….
……are the police seriously monitoring these business people or just taking their bribe money people….to allow the consistent flow of drugs and guns into depressed communities to create more crimes and havoc.
……. is the RSS monitoring this pilot Harris..
Carson…on the streets and in the gated communities, so why arent the police digging up the white and indian communities, they get magistrates and judges to sign warrants easily enough for the depressed communities……
,….the police monitor the depressed communities night and day, start monitoring the white and indian communitues the same way….everyone should be suspect, stop treating these criminaks like they are above the law and they will stop acting like they are above the law and untouchable.
Ya have too many major traffickers in those communities.
Find out the addresses for those who own 10, 15 and 20 different houses and properties, get some warrants, the island is small…police need to do their jobs.
…also word around is Michael Lashley and Bounty are also deeply involved together in trafficking.
Lock up Bounty and Lashley.
The whites and indians are the majority business people on the island who import containers of all types of material….search everyone of their containers….
Stop allowing Bizzy, Cow, Maloney, Bjerkham, Haloute and these known business people who are not above drug trafficking and gun running, to bring containers freely into the island without stripping them….
….search Butch Stewart’s containers….he can see how easy it is…he aint blind…..
Start searching these business people’s containers…
What kind of “leader” waits for Customs people to agree with the imposition of Cameras? Any cretin would know that here is plenty nuff $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ involved for Customs Officers, Union Bosses, Politicians etc etc.
Does the port have Xray or other Imaging equipment to check for hidden compartments, illicit materials etc????? Probably not, since too many dont want to find such.
Surely the Police and relevant “leaders” know what is going on and should already have used the opportunity presented by the threats made by the video against Police/ Govt, to DISARM the vagabonds. If the criminals knew how to shoot at least 8-10 would have been killed on this Kadoomet day. SIX yr old kid shot!!!! That is what Bim has become?????????
WW, your details maybe correct BUT the very first item on the Agenda has to be removing the guns from the criminals. The higher Ups are only going down if an Outside Force comes in to Clean Up the massive corruption at higher levels.
How do we know that certain Politicians realising they are going to lose next election have not ensured the guns are available to seize control????????
How do we know if that the next group of Politicians to win the elections would be more than pleased to “earn” $$$$$$ for their coffers by continuing illegal activity of all types???
When the Tourist industry get mash up quick so—how are the poor going to eat?
How many have a garden plot these days? How would U defend your garden?
Bushie
You can’t possibly believe that any amount of policing could stem the flow of weapons, more and more powerful guns, higher calibre, more rounds, into Barbados.
We are surprised there is no talk about local manufacture, given expected increasing demand conditions in Barbados, Trinidad, etc. These things are quite easy to make.
Barbados may even wish to be a net exporter of guns, drones, mercenaries, other armaments. LOL
In current circumstances, all more effective policing will do is to interfere with demand/supply conditions, increase price
When the Adam dude got arrested for importing a container with 11 million dollars worth of marijuana….everyone knew he was related to the Adam store owners who import a ton of rubbish by containers to sell at their stores. …including soap powder that one of their cousins sell retail in Husbands Heights.
None of this is secret…why dont the ministers, the AG and those responsible do their jobs and direct the police to do theirs….lock up these people and the police inspector who took bribes to disappear the file that could look up Esuf for the 11 million dollar drug importation by container….
….first of all…it’s the ministers, politicians and the late DPP that kept tying the hands of the acting commissioner of police….untie his hands so he can do his job.
None of you have clean hands, you enable the minorities in their drug dealing and gun trafficking and help them destroy your own communities.
Hoping that on August 11th govt bring to table the rise in crime violence that is making a huge wave acroos barbados issuing a stern warning of its intent of furthering technology at our port of entry.
Lest we forget that when AG made an assesment of concern for more monitoring by way of cameras to be place in our port of entry the Unions were first out of there box with their usual muscular language to rubbish the necessity and condemn the Ag statement
Fools as thevUnions have shown to be they are now being wrong as turn of events and surge in criminal activity points the finger in a direction that clearly shows that illegal guns are making they way by barbados port of entry and furthermore the gun power these guns possess are not made in barbados and are sold at a large price on commercial markets which makes it hard for the hands that use them to activate violence at free will.
The long and short of this wave of violence can be attributed to an under ground market or individuals who have acess to our system which can be easily corrupted when not observed.

Rather than quoting from every outdated newspaper article you put your hands on, how about informing your party colleagues that the crime situation in the island and not Mia’s legal qualifications should be on the agenda of its annual conference.
@Bajan in NY
Touche!
…even better…why dont all the politicians, particularly Mia, give up all the drug dealers and gun runners they know and been protecting for decades, give up those names to the police for investigation and arrest…
…cause they and many others, including myself know why they protect criminals..
…why dont all the ministers, particularly Mara Thompson, Michael Lashley and Donville Inniss give up all the names of the drug dealers and gunrunners, they know and continue to protect, to the police for investigation and arrest.
..that is what they should be doing at that conference, compiling a list of names of all known gun and drug traffickers in the indian and white communities to have police monitor and investigate….
….give a list of the gunrunners and traffickers in the black communities the ministers and politicians also protect, to use them at election time to buy votes in their respective communities.
David
‘Crime’ has always been a political issue, every election.
Has it being so made any difference over time?
MoneyB….let them suffer, it will open their eyes and build some character, these will never suffer as much as their ancestors did, but will deserve it a hell of a lot more…
it will also serve to sever their dependency on tourism, making the majority population more self sufficient and finally independent, depending on themselves, their own skills and each other only.
as things stand, the majority population are way too dependant on tourism, a few minorities and other destructive influences outside their communities..
….but are you sure that`s all ya worried about. cause i can tell ya, it will also sever the greed of the minority parasites..i see that as well…ah know you do as well.
WW, your details maybe correct BUT the very first item on the Agenda has to be removing the guns from the criminals. The higher Ups are only going down if an Outside Force comes in to Clean Up the massive corruption at higher levels.
on that we can agree except for the order in which it should happen…
lock up the shooters from yesterday and the source of distribution in the indian, white and blacks communities well find new and equally mischievous, idle hands and ignorant minds in the black communities to handle their illegal guns and kill innocent people…today and every day.
the importers and distributors should ALL be arrested first and en masse.
WW,
My concern is always for the poor and the innocent majority.
I keep pleading for a forum/ blog where top thinkers can solve Bim’s problems and contribute to Development Planning. I continue saying that they need to examine closely the history and reasons why other small island nations are and have been performing ie Mauritius/ Singapore.
We are clever enough to learn and adapt some concepts, naturally we can’t learn much regarding mining in M since we dont have minerals, diamonds. There are many concepts that could be instructive, we just need to plan for GDP growth above $25k/ capita within 10 yrs.
Bim should be more diversified with at least 5 “industries” / Services, which are capable of steadying the nation when a couple are in recession/ decline.
We need a forum/ blog for Business pros to assist those requiring mentorship and questions answered.
Moving Bim forward, while not easy, is not beyond our capability. Where there is a will there is a way.
Where are the TRUE PATRIOTS.
WW,
First has to be protecting the populace from the use of the guns.
Having stabalised that then we can deal with the causes. Higher Ups of all types are not going to be dealt with by Bajan forces unless true Leader or LeaderShip group come forth. Will take serious willpower/ strength. Too many manipulators on the Take.
MoneyB….first they gotta suffer in order to understand all of that…
as things stand none of them are taking any of this seriously enough, particularly the goats of parliament, they all see this as an opportunity to be used and milked for political mileage…
they all sowed the wind for decades and are now reaping the whirlwind…
both governments enabled and condoned criminality in those in the society and their children they deem more important, higher up and better off in the indian and white communities…..than the average citizen in any of the communities.
this is their reward along with all the bribes they took to allow the criminals to operate..
they created those monsters on the island….both governments, it is their job to destroy their creations..
…have some relatives in from North America…i wanted to walk halfway down the highway for exercise, son in law just wanted to stay put at the Black Rock junction with university hill to watch everything, daughter wanted to head in the opposite direction to see a friend, other daughter was not keen on going on highway….next visit….highway will be avoided.
suffering is long overdue for people who have wasted decades of taxpayer`s money in education, miseducation and ALL their natural born talents so they could continue to be dependant on others who seek to destroy their cmmunities…
WW,
First has to be protecting the populace from the use of the guns.
isnt that what they been doing for years…has it worked…no.
i remember in either 2004 or 5..these 2 American white dudes, pulled up their yacht on a beach in Barbados and were selling coke on the beach, they were also arrested with guns…can anyone say whatever happened to those goons from the US…did the US embassy arrange with local officials for their thugs to serve lighter sentences in US jails..
…no MoneyB…if you dont get all the importers and distributors first…ya doing nothing…
the ghetto youths with guns are too stupid…not to be caught, they are being arrested for possession nearly every day……
ya want the importers and distributors…the police know who they are, they can ask FBI and other outside agencies for help if they really want to lock up these wealthier criminals..
unless Adriel Nitwit attorney general is only paying his usual political lip service.
@Pacha
Unlike a few who speak authoritatively on this matter the BU household is willing to be guided.
AG on brasstacks just now has stated that it was a situation of gang on gang violence that started in Westbury road and the dead man ran towards the festivities and his shooters did not stop trying to kill him hence the numbers injured with gun shots.
He further stated that it had nothing to do with Deacons or the recent threat on facebook.
Cadogan. Stop shifting the goal post.
Why are you blaming the customs workers. You should be blaming the wealthy who are greasing various hands to do the dirty work with people who should know better protecting them. Why are you trying to be Columbus looking back at old news items.
Although you admit that two influential factors in the community are importing these weapons, you still casting blame on custom officials.
Cadogan, you said “In order to attack the issue at the root, the Govt. will have to take stern measures against the NUPW and the Unity Trade unions” What unadulterated nonsense. The root cause is actually the same wealthy people including the ones who were caught with container load of illegal stuff along with other infraction by family of the said wealthy individuals which you already know. You are what you will call a political parro.
An important position like Commissioner of Police was politicized and downgraded in the eyes of those of us who were brought up to have nuff respect for the church, the police and other disciplined services, nurses, postmen, health inspectors and such like positions of authority.I again recall the only person who raised an objection to the handling of the Dottin matter was former Dean HE Crichlow himself a former member of the Police Service Commission.
Harold Crichlow was also a very good sprinter in his day. Body and soul.
The buck stops at the Attorney General in a small island there are too many guns in the hands of terrorists, that’s really what the block boys are. The borders remain porous. It is high time for dialogue with Customs to shift from words to deeds and seal the borders to the importation of illegal weapons.
The present action plan of the police is obviously not working. Go back to the drawing board. Come with a strategy to root out the terrorists on the blocks and dark spots where they assemble to plot. Law abiding citizens pass spliff smoking terrorists daily, the police know them. Bring anti gang laws. Stiffen sentences and cut the soft talk Mr. Attorney General we are dealing with murderers not toddlers. The police are doing a good job. The gun crimes by the terrorists is a weak point. Fix it now before we lose the country to young lawless killers.
Is there any truth is this message I just received? “just got word that there’s a shoot out at the QEH & 2 more dead! the Hosp. is lock down.”
The port of entries must be thoroughly supervised and meteciously guarded because there is no doubt that there are foxes guarding the hen house
Illegal guns can only cross the border through corrupt sources and there is no doubt that our point of entries is where all this illegal activity is rooted and eventually find way in the hands of criminal
As for the Unions there have become a major part of barbados problems cae and point conducting and being part of marches inflitrated with characters who have plans to bring chaos in the street.
Angela Skeete, you could really keep off BU……………… you NEVER have anything of value to add to this forum other than partisan shiite!!!!!

As for the Unions there have become a major part of barbados problems case and point conducting and being part of marches inflitrated with characters who have plans to bring chaos in the street in the good name of patriotism how can any one group or individual be associated with a person who vows to destry a country social enviroment
Barbados Unions must look within themselve and asked who are the masters they are now serving and not behave like rabid flame throwers like said criminals
Now is the opportune time for govt to use actions as previously suggested by AG to install more cameras at all ports of entry.Barbados interest is foremost and supersedes any group or entity unions included
While they are sealing ports…seal of the Charles and Ferdinand ports, too many yachts enter those ports without proper surveillance, too many so called rich and famous enter those ports without proper searches ……..and also the private airport.
The white and indian terrorists pretending to be business people also need upending…they are funding the terrorist activities……
…since ya labeling miseducated idiots with guns terrorists…let’s call out the real terrorists…the ones funding the mass importation of massive amounts of drugs and guns by the containers, who believe themselves above the law and untouchable because they hobnob with and bribe government ministers, politicians, lawyers, court officials and everyone who can advance their criminality.
The terrorist who imported 11 million dollars worth of marijuana…then bribed a police inspector to disappear the court file. …to end the case
….the terrirists who once controlled the DPP and the supreme court…
The terrorist who imported 5 million dollars worth of cocaine recently and still has not been charged…only the dudes who sailed the boat caught the charge…..are the police even looking for those wealthy terrorists….who own yachts.
since ya labeling miseducated idiots with guns terroristsโฆletโs call out the real terroristsโฆ..
…..the ones funding the mass importation of massive amounts of drugs and guns by the containers, who believe themselves above the law and untouchable because they hobnob with and bribe government ministers, politicians, lawyers, court officials and everyone who can advance AND PROTECT their criminality.
WW,
name dem nuh.
The system issue we have to confront is corruption. It does not matter what safeguard exist there is a need to focus on how we monitor our border patrol players.
Why is it that Union heads are against high tech technology which can observed and pin point. Why must barbados interest be always under attack by special interest groups whose only interest is for themselves
How can the Unions looked selves in the mirror and cast blame when some of the gun violence can be attributed to their long noises of opposition to govt policies
After govt secure our ports of entry with technological eye balls. Next step is to swing the gallows. A strong message and a heavy dose of punishment for those who dares to tear down barbados social enviroment
WW,
I agree to get the Importers etc BUT who deading now?
Who catching the bullets—even 6 yr old innocent lil girls.
If Tourism mash up, could take an eternity to come back.
Serious situations DEMAND quick, sensible actions from TRUE leaders.
Swift justice for ALL transgressors. But the only way to achieve that is via an outside force like FBI/ US or Scotland Yard/ UK and then we should be concerned whether they could be bought!
MoneyB….the authorities know their names…lots of them take their bribes, so they know them up close and personal…they are responsible for the very existence of all these terrirost monsters in the white, indian and black communities….it’s their jobs to hand a list of names to police and other agencies and get help ridding the island of these monsters posing as business people….
…..these major traffickers of guns, drugs, females and importers are not above the law…they can be taken down….effectively and efficiently,.
Angela Yardfowl….really, quit blaming the unions, if the government put up cameras in the port, what will the union do, take them down…steupps…
This is one instance where if the unions strike because of the installation of cameras to protect the ports from gunrunners and drug dealers who import by the containers….all the employees should be replaced at the port.

Excellent points made……yet the resident operatives asking foolish questions about the unions.
I note none of them have responded to the comment made on here about the govt employment of a gang boss…….yet they can blame the unions and the private sector.
Then again elections are around the corner and war chests have to be resplenished.
Vinni,
Leaders know how to Prioritise out of SWOT analysis/ assessment—- Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity & Threats.
There is absolutely no excuse for this state of affairs, long time now that there should have been a Non partisan Taskforce to solve the Econ/ Finance Development future.
When CORRUPTION rules it is all over!
The innocent people of Bim dont deserve this excrement intersecting with the oscillating device.
MoneyB….ah tell ya these people need to suffer and you think I am joking….it’s the only way to fix this, just watch and see in one week everyone, including the AG, the whole of government, the police and even some victims, will forget the carnage of yesterday…..and it will be back to business as usual.
The police will pretend they chasing down bad boys, hold a few of them with guns, marijuana and cocaine….in the depressed areas only…..
….they will not venture into the heights, terraces, Club Morgan gated community with their closed circuit cameras….certain areas of St. Thomas, St. George where the wealthy criminals reside.
…the major dealers and importers in the indian, black and white communities will organize their next big shipment of guns, drugs, since post cropover supplies will be low and females for their whorehouses, stripclubs will have to be refreshed…..
…..they will call up their favorite customs officers and tell them when their shipments are due…and within a month or two…it will be business as usual again…..police who take bribes will continue to protect the criminality.
….more guns, more drugs.., will enter the island. ..while the police, politicians and government ministers look the other way….business as usual.
…you gotta be joking.
MB
Hmmm…..can you find SWOT,in any Latin texts……if the answer is no…..well crapuad smoke we pipe.
The PM is a student of a dead language and the Prince and we know that the advise of Machiavelli boils down in a nutshell….retain power at all cost……which is why Forbes could not understand EWB loosing an election.
WW&C is correct ……… will forget the carnage of yesterdayโฆ..and it will be back to business as usual.
On the behalf of the President and members of the Bajan Free Party and the Coalition of Unified Parties, I would like to express my deepest regrets for the loss of life and injury inflicted on the innocent at yesterday’s Crop Over festival climax. Serious measures must be taken to deal with the criminal element in this society URGENTLY! This is an act of terror and should be treated as such.My deepest sympathy goes out to the families of the fallen and injured.
Can we say that what Barbados experience yesterday was a part of the “”…Social Unrest”” which the Prime Mister was promised in a letter which was sent to him by someone who we all thought had intelligence and common sense?
