US RNC Delegates countMore than a dozen years ago these writers were denounced when we suggested to those who locate themselves at the center of Caribbean thought that the United States of America was a fascist empire, at its nadir. That financialization had delivered all forms of western capitalism to conditions not dissimilar to Germany 1933. It was a period when fascism, as a social movement, gained ascendency. That unparrelled consolidation of wealth had united global elites into a neo-fascism. Some say an โ€˜inverted totalitarianismโ€™. Others still, a neo-feudalism.

As the irony of ironies would have it, another German has been thrown up by the leading plutocrats to be appropriately hailed. Haile Drumpf! Not unlike Adolf, Donald Trump, is garnering up to 50% of Republican support, nationally โ€“ about 25% of potential American voters. He may also attract significant โ€˜Whiteโ€™, Democratic Party supporters as well. The Democratic Party is no less rooted in racism, โ€˜Whiteโ€™ supremacy, than the Republicans. So we see a convergence of โ€˜Whiteโ€™ social forces around Trump. We have a perverse, conjoining of interests, between the shifting definitions of what โ€˜Whitenessโ€™ and โ€˜Whiteโ€™ power are to mean and the distanced-elites, including honorary โ€˜Whitesโ€™, who are ceasing control of larger and larger swaths of global wealth. Few will contest that there has been a massive consolidation of economic and political power into the same (few) hands. For this is the classical definition of fascism, neo-fascism!

What they do have in common is the determination that the political establishment can neither or for not much longer, protect the elites nor feed the masses of Euro-Americans – poor โ€˜Whitesโ€™, โ€˜Whitesโ€™ being forced out of the middle classes. For Trump, a political commitment to the Klu Klux Klan, even telepathically, is no different to his view that โ€˜Whitenessโ€™, in America, โ€˜Whiteโ€™ supremacy, is under an existential threat as the most recent Census Bureau population parameters would attest. Unless America can now redefine Mexicans/Hispanics as โ€˜Whitesโ€™, as has happened before, the greatest fear of Hitler, himself, could come true with โ€˜Whitesโ€™ becoming the new โ€˜minorityโ€™ In America โ€“ not his โ€˜master raceโ€™. This could be a causus belli for another civil war, at home! Internationally, Europeans are devolving into political-economic systems where far-right and far-left elements act to recreate circumstances this world well knows. These circumstances could only aid the emergence of another Dajjal.

Trump_Republican PartyMainstream commentators are struggling to contextualize the political, social, campaign of Trump. He seems to have tricked CNN and other majors with his reluctance to buy an acceptable level of ads in exchange for met demands which included provision of free 24/7 initial promotion, payment for appearances, promotions which have made Trump the stingiest leading candidate of recent times. Could it be a coincidence that all major news networks would promote Trump ahead of others with significant more political โ€˜pedigreeโ€™? Could we be witnessing the end of an epoch? Or is Kaiser Drumpf a natural outgrowth of 500 years of state-sponsored terrorism by Europeans?

And how is it possible for Hitler to abuse women, preach racial hatred, pretend to change his opinions without notice โ€“ on a whim and without paying a political price, tell repetitive lies about creating jobs when he really means higher profits, for his friends. For the institutions of a modern Goebbels allow Trump to perfect the dark arts of propaganda. A propaganda system which is more central to life in the 21st century than it was post 1933, a system no less vicious than proxy war itself, an information war against the people, people who consistently overestimate their own intelligence. We all shamelessly serve systems we donโ€™t understand.

Of course, Trump is not running alone, although he, most times, so acts. As Kaiser he holds no particular fear for the Clintons, Republican Party officialdom, established (formal) political formations, other big money oligarchs like the Koch brothers. These are the perceived qualities which appear to endear him to a growing segment of the โ€˜massesโ€™ of European-Americans. They are largely a โ€˜Whiteโ€™ working class, distanced by capitalism, unaccustomed to reductions in โ€˜Whiteโ€™ privilege and growing more fearful about their place in society. They are as misguided as people anywhere else are made to be, time and time again.

An underlying truth is that supporters of Trump and those of Sanders understand that something fundamentally is wrong with their political-economy. Are unsure about its causation but could be led to blame people of colour, โ€˜undocumented aliensโ€™ as coded language for their racist intent. We wonder if Drumpf would remember when Germans in America were NOT โ€˜Whiteโ€™, nor Italians, nor Irish and several other national groups. That racist discourse passes under the guise of โ€˜illegal migrationโ€™. Still, they continue to believe that by somehow making an appeal to the center for โ€˜reformsโ€™ or even โ€˜revolutionโ€™ they could be successful even while the leaders of American racism see โ€˜final solutionsโ€™ as the central aim. Maybe it will take one more election cycle to disabuse them of their congenial folly. Remember Obama? How has that worked out for his rabble?

At the center, the central banks are failing. Institutional buyers dominate stock market trading, to artificially keep them from imploding. We live in the times of dominant shadow banks, negative interest rates, asset-less banks, dis-inflation/deflationary spirals, the application of series of quantitative easing (QE) since 2008 and bail-ins which bail-out too-big-to-fail banks, stealing from the poor to make the rich whole. The Chinese are spending billions to stabilize their markets. And we could continue to list structural failures all day. We have predicted that only a total collapse could fix any of this. Religious belief in the self-declared, Kaiser Drumpf, as Messiah, will be of marginal value.

On the political side, weโ€™ve had a series of collapses in the American system, making it no less fragile than the economy. Weโ€™ve had attempts to default on sovereign debt, to collapse the global reserve currency system. Many attempts were made to bring government to a halt as if government itself were irrelevant. These actions cannot to โ€˜segregatedโ€™ from the original sin that is America and even has some similarities to the pre-1933 epoch of Hitlerโ€™s Germany.

And Hillary Clinton could only do the same kinds of wickedness as a Trump but with a velvet glove covering her iron fist. She likes to think that she could out-Trump, Trump, with her warmongering. The people who call themselves โ€œBlackโ€ or โ€˜โ€™African-Americanโ€™โ€™ must find time to re-assess their relationships with the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Party. They must ask themselves what is the reason for continuing to support an organization which cannot even stop policemen from killing Moors in the streets, all over the USA, at will. What is this thing which the Clintons hold over them to have them march from the pulpits to the polls, in the service of their open oppressors, every time? What is the benefit to them? How many times can they be corralled by leading โ€˜Blacksโ€™ acting as sophisticated pimps for the Democratic Party apparatus? Where are their just demands from the systems they support? Why is it not revolting to them to have Bill and Hillary Clinton run presidential campaigns in Haiti and the USA simultaneously?

The โ€˜appearanceโ€™ of Herr Drumpf may best be located within Islamic eschatology. That narrative better describes these times than its erstwhile companions. It talks about Akhirruzaman; Gogg & Magogg; a nuclear war; the role of Damascus; the rise of Pax-Judaica as the hyper-power; the role of โ€˜Constantinopleโ€™. Have military and political conditions been prepared for the entry of an Arrogant One, Donald Trump, as maximum patsy, who will start this Great War? Well, the current proxy formations of powers in and around Syria may suggest some credence to that worldview. Letโ€™s hope that the bark of Herr Drumpf (Herr Fuhrer) is worse than his bite or that the hidden forces behind his emergence are exposed before billions have to die on the altar of those who have given us many similar scenarios previously, including the rise of the Soviet Union; WW1; WW2.

Come on, you must be really talkin about Fruendel!

  2. A constructive view of US politics. Note there is no mention of current politicians.

Today, a paralysis of government exists, social and economic problems go unsolved, and they grow and fester. This inaction is not new, we have seen it before. In the past such inaction has led to a demand for change and reform. As a result of such inaction liberal governments have been elected throughout our history. Change occurs until that liberal impulse has used up its energy. The natural reaction to change brings about a return to a Conservative period where, conservatives consolidate what has happened and inaction is a reaction to the change that has occurred. The new Conservative government reflects the mood of the country and takes a breath, a pause as it were. History has shown that expression normally has been on the terms of the liberalism it has replaced. The change has been accepted by we the people and we move on to the next set of challenges that history inevitably brings to us. For if life shows us anything it is that change is a constant, and like that proverbial box of chocolates we know not what that change will be.

The point is we have to measure the man by his performance. He signalled he would bring change by utilizing a particular approach. Many knew it was a pie in the sky objective but Obama by his charisma persuaded Americans and the world to dear to hope and believe. He has failed and this is the point.

Actually David at 8:27 PM, I see an alternative narrative to “he signalled he would bring change by utilizing a particular approach. Many knew it was a pie in the sky …”

As I recall his rhetoric on this mid-East matter he pellucidly noted and presented by his actions that he wanted the Arabs to know that the US valued them in positive terms vis-a-vis the Israeli conflict.

Not since Carter and his Camp David accords (which as you know led to Pres Sadat’s death) were Arabs elevated in that way (no heavy lifting here but let’s take out PLO strongman Arafat’s visits to White House, he was always under a cloud in many quarters)…

All that to say, this was no pie in sky. He did pivot towards the Arabs in an effort to show a more amenable and supportive side coming after the Bush bull-dozer through much of the Arab world.

That is definite. The question of how well he succeeded is valid but he walked that Arab talk…definitely.

@David at 8:21 PM “A constructive view of US politics. Note there is no mention of current politicians.”————-

Just reading the extract gives the perspectives that is a view of politics. Period.

I for one always looked at the 2 term and out Bajan politics like that…and then Arthur made it 3 and out! So we’ll see if the DLP can maintain the later model, Heaven Forbid!

I hate to say I told you so, but “I told you so.” Again I invite you to do three things. 1. go to PBS.org and look at the videos on the rise of Adolph Hitler to power, andThe Mind of Hitler. Compare with Trump. 2. Take an American twenty dollar bill. Commit the picture of Andrew Jackson to memory. Then read The Trail of Tears, and commit the story of American Genocide to your memory; what they did to Native INDIANS. 3. READ THE POLICY OF MANIFEST DESTINY; (ESPECIAL GP AND ZOE,) AND TEL ME IF THIS IS A COUNTRY WHOSE POLICIES SHOULD EVER SERVE AS EXAMPLES TO FOLLOW and tell me if this is the example of a loving god.

    PHILIPPIANS 3:20-21
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

    2 CORINTHIAN 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

    Revelation Chapter 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
    11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
    19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

  8. Ted Cruz Wins Wisconsin Republican Presidential Primary

    Kamil Krzaczynski / Reuters

Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz prevailed in Tuesday night’s GOP presidential primary in Wisconsin, notching his biggest victory over real estate mogul Donald Trump since the Iowa caucuses.

Cruz’s showing in the Badger State is welcome news to establishment forces who have rallied behind the Texas conservative in an attempt to deny the controversial front-runner the necessary delegates to assume the party’s nomination. Trump’s inability to expand his delegate lead in Wisconsin also increases the chances of a contested convention later this summer in Cleveland.

You cannot judge a leader based solely on his articulated vision for his tenure.
It IS the role of leadership to visualise a desirable future; to chart a path to that reality; and to inspire and lead change in that direction.
However actual performance and results may NOT be under his complete control – and the US system is DESIGNED to ensure that a President does NOT have that level of authority.

    He did his part….
It was mostly the racist Republican congress that used the stupid system of governance to frustrate Obama’s vision.

  14. Alvin

Your reading and comprehension seems to be deteriorating rapidly!

Trump has made many mistakes, put things in intolerable ways but the key points he has made have a major relevance to a better future for the USA. Please provide good evidence that he is racist. Trump is immature, lacks sophistication in his communication and was always going to find a way to self sabotage. Trump has been a brilliant PLANT by the Dems to destroy the Repubs!

Cruz is far more Right Wing.

Hilary has the experience that absolutely proves her incompetence and that she is NOT to be trusted.

Bernie appears to believe the nonsense he spouts which cant work eg Free Education for all, FREE Hlth Care, FREE everything. Where is the Tree this money grows on, I would like to buy one! Bernie has all the young dreamers confused.

What from these two videos prove you right? You really need to listen to the message properly, but is it impossible for one who holds a bias position to have any objective view that will not lean towards extracting negativity. Also, too, what would have been a fitting legacy in your book that Obama, according to your views, has not established. If there is to be any legacy fitting to Obama’s tenure is that he established a set of principles and integrity far above the controversial presidencies of other past presidents. In both these messages, Obama struck the balance of the negatives associated with the US with that of misconceptions and concepts held by Islamic opposers. How the ass is that promoting a crisis in his speech. David

Instead, Bush left crap to be attended too. What makes Obama different is that he is not in denial to what he could or could not do to what change and could not change. He spoke to the American people at every juncture. I am more sympathetic to what Obama has achieved and what he has not when compared to the Prime Minister of the Democratic Labour Party who simply speaks in the wind and stir up people’s active ill wills.

Bush Tea do you recall your comments (caution) to the BU family when Obama was elected and hailed as the Black Jesus, the man pushing change and the urgency of now? You seem to have recanted. AND you are entitled of course.

The biggest observation one can make is the support Obama received across the races i.e. 95% Black, 66% Hispanic, 50+% White, and most pronounced was the youth vote i.e. people below 50+. We saw people of all colours dancing in the streets last night. It was an emotional moment for all who allowed themselves to become present in the historic moment.

    Back at you again.

What are your views on the following:

Obama appointing a Jew as Chief of Staff. How would that appointment have impacted the view he wanted to be taken seriously by the Arab world. The optics man!

Next, the appointment of players like Paulson and Geithner to his Cabinet in key roles knowing they were part of a rotten system of packaged piss poor (high risk) securities and selling to the world. To top it off allowing CDSs to flourish. Years after the Wall Street collapse what signicnat changes were made to plug the holes? Why were large banks who received bailout money were allowed to reflect high profits on the backs of such injections?

Finally (for now). Why did Obama commit to a political decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan and Iraq when common-sense suggested it was a fragile environment. Now we have seen the birth of ISIS. This will all be part of Obama’s legacy.

A few things he has not done! Bring a leader who has accomplished all that he set out to do. As far as I can see, Obama has been a successful president in that he brought America back from its wobbly position. If a percentage is to be given to overall leadership performance and the ability to get things done, base on your definition, Obama would score quite high despite of all the opposition he faced and repeals concerning his decisions from the republican nitwits. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You are wrong on this boss….
That ONLY applies in the army……
…and YOU will be FIRST in line to condemn the methodologies needed to make that a reality.

    Take China….
Much of the modern success we are seeing today was laid by Mao and the Red Army. …bet you will not extol that fact as great ‘leadership…’
Cuba is set to take off because of the foundation laid by Castro’s authoritarian rule.
The Western World enjoyed an unprecedented period of prosperity built on the backs of Black slavery… where their ‘leaders’ (…as you put it)…. GOT THINGS DONE.

    Those days are gone boss…

Modern leadership calls for common vision, consensus, teamwork, and compromise….and of these, ONLY VISION can be individual …and can be required of the new leader ONLY…

    On Obama…
Bushie ALWAYS could see that his presidency was a contradiction of USA reality. However, his PERFORMANCE has been so intelligent, compromising, visionary and team-focused that the Bushman has undergone a radical change of heart as to the source…and now suggests that his seven years represents an unnatural intervention in the order of decline that had characterised world and USA affairs…… a temporary reprieve of sorts…

  28. listening to Obama speech on dec 6th 2015 he reiterated what is foreign policy would be he made it clear during many of his campaigain speehes explicitly stating that he was not going to ccommit american troops to foreign terriorty but rather use global to help fight terrorism
For those who cannot see any positive results is because they have become accustomed to seeing the USA fight wars that had no end and with no result which can be categorized as failures and would just as well prefer those methods //Methods which have not worked but have accelerated the now ongoing turmoil in the ME
Obama decision did not sparked ISIS or other any other terrorist organisation .. Nor did his decision cost billions of dollars in taxpayers money fighting on foreign soil,,Also didnot his foreign policy cost american lives in the thousands and destroyed the innocent lives on foreign soil
Those were the initiatives he set out to do and so far he has accomplished them. For those who still believe military might can solve the ME crisis take a look at Israel and Palestine a fifty year war millions of casualties billions of dollars and what is the result/that is failure

In addition to creating more hatred against the USofA ONE SIMPLY CANNOT MAINTAIN THE COST OF THAT WAR!!

It is a law of diminishing returns when the so called armies of said cuntry that you are protecting are chilling to ef out while your soldiers are dying.

Every single coffin of a US Armed Forces warrior means an effing letter from the President of the Administration in Power full of flowery comments, and non similar content and copyrighting artistry to ensure that no two recipients get the same letter!!

President Obama sought to seriously engage in discourse with people WITHOUT BULLETS. He does not want to disarm the GoUSA but he things that the practice of war robs us of our young, FOR NO REASON other than men want to show the size of their respective doggies!

That is all this madness is, the egos of men that are based on the most frivolous of premises, annexing land, resource theft from the weaker, perceived affronts, preemptive strikes, misguided religious fervour based on the “My GOD TOLD ME TO VANQUISH YOUR GOD” syndrome which is the greatest of the threats we face because these fellows invoke fatwah, jihad and holy crusade cries like the british did all those centuries ago.

Whichever of the Legion you are, I would advise you to change the password now and lock out the others

  32. the teleprompter president, rarely makes a statement that hasn’t been analyzed, and can still make gaffs, that have to be clarified. Making decisions and talking on the fly can make you look silly as trump found out last week. But does anyone really think trump or cruz hate America…want to leave it worse for their descendants.

  33. “……just like carters legacy was the man knew peanuts..Obama may go down as the failed experiment.”
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    Take it easy SSS.
Lawson may well be hitting the nail on the exact head…

Obama could only have been elected with quite significant albino support. Do you think that such support was forthcoming on the basis that he would be a national saviour and game changer for the better?
After Bush, it must have been clear (even to Lawson) that unless these albino nations could continue free reign to use military might to impose their greedy will on everyone else, their were UNABLE to grow successfully.
Obama was therefore a scapegoat president, intended to take the blame for what was seen as impending doom and gloom.

    THAT FAILED MISERABLY…
The damn man turned out to be the VERY OPPOSITE of the stereotypical American Black…
    ..Highly intelligent and articulate…
    ..Graceful and charming…
..Unbeatably articulate, focused, and on top of his job
..A textbook family life (with the best woman ever to live in the White House as a wife)
…..and then he presides over a MAJOR improvement in almost every area of national life ..with the CLEAR EXCEPTION of race relations, and relations between Congress and the Black House….

No wonder they hate his ass…
He represents a COMPLETELY FAILED experiment…
and the ONLY reason he was reelected was that his PERFORMANCE was so outstanding that even out and out racists could not gainsay his quality….

Were it not for term limits, Lawson himself would go down to Florida and vote for Obama AGAIN….

Obama also appointed muslims in top positions in his administration, no one was left out….none, there were no mistakes, it’s all kosher what he did, the only hate he gets is coming from the racists in the US society, but that is normal…for them.

  35. @ David
“….AND yes Mao and Hitler demonstrated good leadership because they achieve their objectives based the ability to get things done.”
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
What do you mean by ‘AND yes…’?
….hopefully this is NOT an indication of agreement with Bushie…

    …cause
THAT does not represent ‘good leadership’…. it represented despotism.
Good leadership is about CREATING willing and compliant followers. It is NOT about “implementation viet armis”.

Good leadership (like good parenting) is about CREATING SOUND, INTELLIGENT, EDUCATED, ADULTS, who are on board with a common vision.
Good leadership CANNOT therefore be translated unilaterally into successful action by any one person no matter how sound their own personal leadership skills.
…Just like how being a ‘good parent’ CANNOT guarantee that a child will be a successful adult.

When is the substantive David(BU) coming back….? ๐Ÿ™‚

  36. @Bush Tea

Leadership has a wide definition based on context use, in this case BU has been at pain to point out leadership is being used in the context of achieving a stated vision.

    @ the Honourable Blogmaster

You state and I quote “…but the point here is that it got worse under Obama…”

A thing getting worse while a specific man is in power/control DOES NOT MEAN THAT said man contributes to its getting worse or that said man does not contribute to that state.

It is like the BLP coming to power during the 2008 global meltdown and, inept as they are, doing little euphemism for nothing.

Obama was there when it happened thats all, as these clowns were there when “it happened” and incredibly, still are there even though that has passed somewhat.

Having said that one of the things that you could clarify for me is your perceived “begin point” for this refugee crisis that you state worsened while President Obama was there and your imputation that his was/is a catalytic effect.

Maybe if you are suggesting that, simultaneous with the USofA’s strategy to “reel in Russia”, as such related to driving down the price of oil, and the impact on Russia and Syria et al., maybe if you were trying to make that link and say that this happened under President Obama and that this was the tipping point for the refugee crisis that may play a small role in the matter.

These super powers started playing chess in the middle east long before Barack Obama came to the stage but what is evident is that, in the face of staunch opposition to his more humane Foreign Relations Policy, he has tried to make a difference in that maelstrom.

This is what refugees are fleeing from

    https://img.washingtonpost.com/rf/image_1484w/2010-2019/WashingtonPost/2015/07/22/Foreign/Images/2015_07_16_Lebanon_syrian_refugees_Sam_tarling_GP_MG_99321437596825.jpg?uuid=B_8deDCwEeWoeSEweNA90w

That was and is not of Obama’s making, and while you can rightfully say that it was the GoUSofA that contributed to the destabilization of the Middle East, and other countries, in no small way, to ascribe to Baruch Obama the responsibility of these matters would be like trying to pin the travesty that was and is GEMS of Barbados onto the chest of the incompetent Minister of Fine Ants.

History will record that Barack Hussein Obama was the best president that the United States ever had, in the face of all the hatred and nay-sayers.

What he is, is a man, not only for US citizens but one who thought and thinks that the US, rather the President of the United States, as leader of the most powerful nation in the world, has a responsibility to the world!!

Do you understand what a National Intelligence Estimate is? google it and you will see that these are “the authoritative assessment of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) on intelligence related to a particular national security issue. NIEs are produced by the National Intelligence Council and express the coordinated judgments of the United States Intelligence Community, the group of 16 U.S. intelligence agencies. NIEs are classified documents prepared for policymakers.”

Let me distil that point in the context of Barbados.

Imagine that at the BIDC, and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, and the various waste foop embassies and consulates Barbados has all over the world, instead of having political appointees you have “intelligence gathering operatives, who used their appointments to search out opportunities and collaborations for the GoB AND ACTED ON THEM?

Here you have a man who receives the most advanced analyses on “intelligence” across the world seeking to broker peace through his emissaries.

That is not a man to whom you can seriously ascribe or impute “it got worse under Obama”

  40. It takes vision to understand and appreciate Obama Foreign policy goals fight against terrorism
So what are the results of his initiatives

    Less lives lost
Billions of dollars saved enough to pay down some of americas debtband those countries who for yesrs have been actively involved in groud wars . Money that would have gone solely in the form of mass casulities in endless wars.
Health cost becomes less as less soldiers are not caught in both the military might of the enemy and friendly fire..less physichal and physchological damage long term to soldiers and families.
Obama calculates with deliberate intent for the terrorist to occupy americas and other international home terriorty.
Result easier to find and confiscated all material deemed necessary to the terrorist pursuit of evilness be they dead or alive with the helped of technology.
Obama understood the risk but realised the benefits outweighed what few casulities would be felt at home
A long term strategy built on commonsense that has served many purposes.History would reward Obama as a man who used peaceful initiatives to fight terroism which benefited the whole world.
As for the refugee crisis a problem which can be resolved and undertaken by large countries .not really a problem as many of those refugees would become productive citizens bringing with them a treasure trough of education which will help build some of these countries economies.

David has the misconception that Obama can undo the middle east, which is a product of European collusion of keeping strife in play, centuries old, to control their various greedy self interest in resources that never belonged to any of them.

The previous US presidents Clinton, Bush and Bush, have vested interests in that cabal of greed….Obama is not interested….fighting those beasts and trying to change their minds from creating the strife to enrich themselves at the expense of poor refugees, poor Palestinians, is way beyond Obama and will take a divine act, particularly with the much hated Israel (Is not Rael) positioned by the British, over 60 years ago, to lead the charge.

  43. @Bush Tea

    +++++++++++++
Depends on what you mean by โ€œquite significantโ€, Obama received a smaller percentage of the โ€œwhiteโ€ vote than any President in US history.

  44. Thanks goodness most of the comments above are not directly referencing the head text, which is the most convoluted, confused and sophomoric presentation I have read in years. It reminds me exactly of the kind of stuff that used to spout from 1st year university students trying to pretend to be sophisticated intellectuals. But then I read a piece in this morning’s paper written by non other than the Vice Chancellor of the University of the West Indies, explaining that a great victory in sport by a talented group of cricketers has turned into an historical reversal against colonialism. Surely, the great outpouring of joy following the victories of the men and ladies cricketers was more of a sigh of relief that we still “had it”, than it was a victory against colonialism. Why do we have to over-intellectualize everything? It was a cricket match and we won. That’s it!

Oh shite David what the heck are you trying so hard to defend. You cannot refute what Bush Tea has stated even though you are correct concerning leadership forms. However, leadership is always categorized in terms of good or bad and each of the forms has consequences that are either good or bad. In the case of Hitlers bad leadership, it ended in his death and the death of a large percentage of his followers, some of whom, a few years ago, did not escape the inside of prison due to time pass or their old ages. Obama’s leadership may have its merits and demerits but it has not produce any bad consequences other than the ones you are trying to purport in your bias.

As for the refugees crisis being blamed on Obama, there is no evidence in your eight link to the refugee crisis in Europe that has a direct link to Obama. It speaks of a war, but this war did not just start. It speaks to extremist Islamic groups taking out their vengefulness on innocent Syrians, who were willing to starve their own people and cut off important aid from them just because their refuse to join in their fight.. They lost homes, business, and livelihood, with no other choice but to flee from the torment imposed by their own people. Where in that is Obama? It also speaks to an influx of people, who for years were seeking refuge in Europe, give more reason to increase their numbers at Angela Merkel’s assertion of offering asylum to all and the friendly greetings of those refugees and documentaries showing what Germany was doing to keep them peaceful, polite and comfortable. You have no point, David, just a hold lot of speculation anti-Obama rant and rave.

  47. @ Sargeant
Obama received a smaller percentage of the โ€œwhiteโ€ vote than any President in US history.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Technically you are (as usual) correct, but…
That Obama got ANYTHING more than 5% of the ‘white’ vote has to be seen as a major shift in normality….and comparisons with ‘any other president in history’ falls into the category of comparing oranges and apples….

But before i drink any more of the coolade and come up to George Steet and request a Membershit Card let me say this before Bush Tea send out the Ambulance fuh me.

It is a pity that you can see so clearly what Obama has done and is doing YET, right here in Barbados, you cannot see the abject disruption that your own party has enforced on the backs of our people as, and I will use your words to make this point “those refugees [bajan citizens] would become productive citizens bringing with them a treasure trough [trove] of education [knowledge] which will help build some of these countries [barbados’] economies [economy].

But then again AC, what you a re doing is emblematic of what you and your government always do, go far away and embrace other people, or other people’s solutions, while abandoning your own.

I only need to highlight the practice of our noble leader Fumbles who love to invite the touristeses dem to Illaro Court and smile up in dem faces, or go all the way to Merica and Englant, he and Fine Ants and the dimunitive Central Bank Guvner, who is by the way, 2 inches taller than me, where he/they big up everyone from ovah and away but none here.
