blpWe don’t even get a tanker when it off. It real ridiculous, it horrible. One resident on water woes.

Only Sunday gone, they almost had a big fight down there because the lady with five children hadn’t washed clothes in months. One of the other neighbours was upset because she was washing clothes. Another comment on water woes.

I lost ten thousand suckers because I couldn’t put them in the ground. Yet another lament by a farmer on the lack of water.

17 hours in a horror house. A recent experience at QEH.

“The QEH needs restructuring…I was at the QEH from 4 p.m. and wasn’t treated by 9 a.m. So I ended up leaving the hospital. You know what is being at the hospital for more than 15 hours….with a fractured hand going through all that pain? Another recent experience at the QEH.

…..they are just potholes that remained and got bigger and bigger. It is about time the road was repaired because this road is a serious problem. A comment on one crater-filled road.

I cannot even put a piece of cake in my mouth without the flies coming. This is bare foolishness. Reaction to garbage pile up.

Barbados is being destroyed and this illegal dumping is getting now out of hand. And I believe it is caused by the tipping fee [introduced by Government last year] that is being charged for dumping. I would like to suggest that the Minister of Finance take a closer look at this and save Barbados. A businessman on garbage

(We could fill the newspaper with comments of Barbadians on the woes of the land)

A country is in trouble when it cannot even provide the basics. Barbados is in deep trouble. With every day, the inability by the DLP to supply the basics is opening up a new path of destruction for Barbadians.

The provision of water, transport and roads, health care, sanitation and garbage removal, and housing is in shambles. And, getting worse.

Across St. Lucy, St. Peter, St. Andrew, St. Joseph and St. John, especially, the water situation is so grim that, after months of non-supply, people are beginning to talk of a Barbados that all thought was extinct.

This is now no longer a case of intermittent interruption. All over the north and east, there are pressing and dangerous ramifications for the personal hygiene and sanitation of thousands, the livelihoods of dozens, the ability to be at school and work and the overall impact on daily living.

There is no exaggeration in MP for St. Joseph Dale Marshall’s summation of the situation, existing in the extreme since last September, as “a frightening state of affairs in St. Joseph”

And BLP leader Mia Mottley has rightly deemed the situation a national crisis. People are being reduced to fight over water.

This has been allowed to fester to breakpoint with nary a word from anyone. Explanations, contradicted by residents under siege and laced with illogicality, is further indicative of how the DLP’s mishandling of situations and contempt for the public pushes the society to disruptive action.

Barbadians are expected to believe that climate change only affects very specific areas of the country and not the rest.

We are also to accept water tanks that bypass them and supply others, if they turn up at all. This is a daily fact of life for people. Dale said it, โ€œThis has completely destroyed any semblance of a normal lifestyle for my constituents.โ€

No notice of water outages. No supply either by the new standpipes, the so-called community tanks, or water tankers. No word from anyone at the BWA.

Minister Estwick has disappeared. So, too, Lowe on garbage. Boyce says nothing on health, maybe because he knows nothing. Ditto Kellman. And Stuart crowns this hateful disregard for the welfare of Barbadians with his own silence.

If the supply of water and the provision of basics cannot bring a Prime Minister to speak and immediate action from a Government, what exactly is the purpose of either?

The fact that solutions are available to better deal with water supply, as well as the other critical areas plaguing the society, but are not even being discussed, far less attempted, by the Freundel aristocracy, indicate how much of a distance the DLP is operating at from citizens.

It is more than a contradiction that all this is unfolding as the DLP indulges in a big one year long party to mark the 50th anniversary of Independence.

Let’s celebrate Independence and party hearty, never mindย  the drivers that led to Independence and the celebration of the nation in the ensuing years are in disarray and unrecognisable under this DLP.

Let’s rally around the flag and be knocked out by this noxious mix of deception that we are great when all around us the economy is failing; our foundation pillars are failing; institutions are failing to deliver, infrastructure is failing.

The DLP’s inbred prescription to take Barbadians for a ride is, philosophically and practically, the most ironic feature of Barbados’ desperate state of affairs as the DLP stake out 50 years celebrations.

Rather than acknowledging and dealing with the facts of the issues, the DLP rolls out its propaganda – and this is expected to soothe Barbadians and salve the blows being taken repeatedly just to survive.

So Donville Inniss trots out trite nonsense suggesting suffering people should bear with water outages. The DLP plays the republic card, denies it, but good old Donville declares bring it on. The Governor of the Central Bank says categorically there will be anaemic growth but all-knowing Donville declares there will be 2 per cent growth.

The BLP will not be sidetracked by the various posturings of the DLP, nor, while we believe 50th years as a nation is worthy of celebration, will we join in the flossing over of the several serious issues crying out for solutions under the guise of feeling good about this milestone.

The BLP is well aware of the political dimensions of the celebrations. As the Party has demonstrated on Cahill, the Municipal Solid Waste Tax, QEH and water, Mia Mottley and team will fight on for Barbadians to receive the respect, attention and services that should be theirs as the norm if they were managed by a caring, progressive government.

We believe the people are, too. The comments on the water issue and many others show Barbadians understand the game plan of the DLP. And are waiting to checkmate, 50th anniversary celebrations or not.

  1. I note the deafening silence of Mr. Kellman on the water woes of his constituents in St. Lucy. Is the party more important than the people who are suffering through the water dilemma? This “people-centred Government” has brought us nothing but heartache! Everyone is hanging on so that he/she can draw a pension which will be paid for by the said people they vilified.

  2. Thy simply DO NOT care. They think:

Why do we need a QEH? I fly to New York to my private doctor!

Why do we need bread? They should eat cake! (Marie Antoinette said this before …)

Why do we need water out of the pipe? I drink Perrier for 5 dollars the bottle and owe a swimming-pole!

Why do we need jobs? I get my pension in two years!

Why do we need FX reserves? I have my Swiss bank account!

Why do we need free education at UWI? My kids will study at Harvard!

Enough of the political rhetoric, though I know such threads always get ‘lots of action’.
We need solutions, even though some of them seem reasonably obvious.
I cannot see the violent overthrow of a government as being in anybody’s best interest, especially when the Opposition is likely to offer more of the same.
It is no use blaming Westminster, or colonial or monarchist; because none of that explains our own people’s failure to balance our books, and to provide services which have otherwise been available for many years.
I can see many options, but who the hell is to run the country??
Is a 3rd party the solution??

That’s the problem-in-waiting Northern……BLP’s rhetoric sounds sweet to the ears of the desperate, but unless Mia, if elected changes her modus and the way DBLP have been operating for the last 50 years, all the voters will hear for years going forward, after elections, are that the problems are too huge and that they were caused by DLP.

In the meantime, while she is spouting that nonsense to the beleagured voters, all the known cockroaches, bizzy, cow, bjerkham, harris, parris et al, will be lined up in the dark waiting for their political favors after funding both DBLPs election campaigns with their ill-gotten gains that they accumulated at the taxpayer’s expense. It’s a repetitive cycle that both political leaders feel comfortable rotating in, without any breaks.

  5. Where ever and when ever the BLP sees an opportunity to stoke the fires of mayhem and division there is no doubt the BLP lead by Mia would not forego such an opportunity
Her leadership style has been directed by marches and loud outburst of political noises and goose like gaggles colossal failures flaws and ongoing struggles within her party all being the trademark and defining moments of her leadership for the past six year
Mia present undertaking of tackling the water woes of the people of St Joseph would not be taken with all seriousness given the history of the BLP when as government failed miserably in having solutions for the water system that plagued the country
Mia leadership of the BLP is underscore with division and mayhem a party still split apart and seeking the court help in mending fences and healing leaving a red mark of incompetence and separation and questions of her ability to lead a country in time of crisis when she cannot unify her party
For sure Mia grandstanding and political opportunism would be seen for what they are and a wasted approach misguided and misdirected to split and divide the country

As I said, one bunch of idiots DBLP, will like clockwork, cyclically blame the other bunch of idiots DBLP for the sufferings, they both, DBLP, deliberately and maliciously visited on the people over the last 50 years through their incompetence and groveling to those they deemed more important and deserving than the majority.

The people are caught in the middle of that circus, like a swirling vortex and who knows for how long…..if karma is as consistent as she has always been, both parties’ yardfowls will develop lock jaw.

โ€œI note the deafening silence of Mr. Kellman on the water woes of his constituents in St. Lucy. Is the party more important than the people who are suffering through the water dilemma?โ€

Dennis Kellman prefers to spend time UPDATING his facebook page ADVERTISING, POSTING NEWS, MENUS and PHOTOGRAPHS about his Moon Town business, or calling โ€œBrass Tacksโ€ to discuss issues relative to other ministries and departments that do not fall under his portfolio.
Unfortunately, at a time when he should perform his usual โ€œcall-in-program dutiesโ€ and talk about the BWA, he prefers to REMAIN SILENT.

It is a known fact that he treats his employees badly, he is far from being a compassionate employer and does not adhere to employee best practices. Perhaps Kellman will take advantage of the new Shops Act.
However, he is able to keep winning the St. Lucy seat. It goes to show that some constituencies are strongholds for either BLP or DLP, irrespective of the level and type of representation each political partyโ€™s candidate offer.

This country will not recover under Fumble’s Fools. Not three of them are capable of managing a rumshop and they certainly have no idea of crisis management or management of large entities like their allocated civil services.

It is not a reflection on personalities, it is an evolution of a political system that once attracted the involvement of great men and now attracts mostly money-grabbers and lakkies.

    The system must be changed.

Senate seats must be allocated to professional and national institutions with their own internal election systems so the legislation safety valve works without political meddling. Bar Ass., National Trust, BAMF, Chamber of Commerce, BHTA, NUPW, BWU, BAS etc.

MPs must no longer be allowed to master over ministries, clueless about their function while financially benefiting from contracts issued by same. Remove the carrot and the jackass will go also.

Very simple changes could make our country work again.

‘Republic my ass’ may be my new moniker.

  9. Is the main stream media and the underground social media afraid of Bizzy Williams and his ilk?

The question begs an answer given Bizzy and his friends racist rants that go unchallenged. A government politician who utters the equivalent to the reprehensible comments heard from wrinkly face Bizzy would be met with a torrent of abuse on top of editorials to fix their tail. Bizzy has more yard fowls pimping for him than any Bee or Dee politico. The house slave field slave ball of confusion is alive and well in Little England . The Bizzy’s of this world are testament to that.

  10. Like it is aka waiting!

    @Artax

Kellman has not called the talk show on VOB since he was rapped on the knuckles by Dowridge Miller.

  11. โ€œThere is no exaggeration in MP for St. Joseph Dale Marshallโ€™s summation of the situation, existing in the extreme since last September, as โ€œa frightening state of affairs in St. Josephโ€โ€ฆโ€ฆ.โ€

But Beresford, Dale Marshall was the representative of St. Joseph for the past 22 years, 14 of which he could have done something to rectify the water problems. These problems did not begin in 2008, so Marshall has to take some of the responsibility as well.

    @ David

Okay, perhaps that is the reason why Kellman spends so much time on facebook. Lol

Retribution-things that make me go hum!

Question is…. Why wait? Get DEM out NOW!!!

Art, some of the problems may not have started in 2008; that is why the people shout for change – thinking that things will get better not knowing that they will get worse. Well; the people in the know knew better.

    They need to go!

  13. A read of an article in today’s newspaper is indictive of how rants and raves can cause mayhem and frenzy.
Solidified with unnecessary distrubance to innocent peoples lives. The article goes on to detail how the people who are living in restricted water areas are resorting to uncivilized actions that can hurt or harm the employees of the BWA
These kind of actions in retrospect can be linked to the irresponsible mouthings of a few political gungho individuals all attached to the blp and its leadership in the past few weeks

  14. @NorthernObserver January 12, 2016 at 2:17 AM #

We know the solutions and some have stated them ad nauseam here on BU,others have indicated where to find the umpteen studies providing solutions and so far it seems some of the advise for the BWA has been taken i.e. digging wells and some desal plants.

Solutions are of no help if the ones to implement them are unable or incapable to do so.We are very good at talking but poor at doing.

  15. @ac, can I take it that you are recommending that those citizens and residents of Barbados who have not been receiving water for over six months sit silently by and await deliverance when it suits your party? And dismissed workers should not complain about not receiving severance payment after a year? Those awaiting tax and VAT refunds are being impatient if they become annoyed after waiting for three years? OK, I get you – be patient, be happy, we have a good and efficient government. Just be thankful that your party is not the government of Germany, France, USA, or anywhere in the Middle East as you would be all drawn and quartered years ago. It’s as if someone needs to issue irresponsible mouthing in the face of the total destruction of Barbados by our brilliant crew of bimbos for the people to be dissatisfied.

  16. I agree; this DLP administration has failed this country and is easily the worst since Independence, if not in the history of Barbados.

As we begin these year long celebrations, it offers no comfort to the suffering masses that this BLP opposition is arguably the worst since Independence, if not in the history of Barbados.

Since 2013, the weakest and worst administration this country has ever seen, was ably assisted by the strongest and worst opposition in “opening up a new path of destruction for Barbadians”.

  17. Well Well & Consequences2I Avatar

Fairplay….you forgot tarred and feathered, as much as the industralized countries have their huge problems of one kind or another, you have to admire that the governments make sure their people have access to basic services, whether they pay for them or not and these countries have populations in the hundreds of millions, not to mention the gigantic land masses they can all boast and have to source water to supply residents.

The population in Barbados has not shifted from 270K + in I don’t know how long, the island is no bigger than a very small coral rock, the people actually pay for most of their services, including water and a bunch of big belly, bloated politicians for over 30 years cannot get their fat asses out of their chairs and get an efficient water delivery system in place……a basic service people are paying for monthly.

I bet the bajan electorate in times like these would trade leadership with people in the bigger countries where that trade would result within 3 months of DBLP politicians being drawn, quartered and all that other good stuff….those people do not tolerate laggards, particularly when they take taxpayers money in a monthly salary. It is a thought, anyone want to start making calls, at least they would be rid of that lot and can finally move on after 50 years of bullshit politics and yardfowlism. Imagine the chaos, horror and disaster if DBLP had those huge countries to govern and manage.

  18. @ Well Well & Consequences2I,

Do you watch Canadian and American news channels?

  19. Well Well & Consequences2I Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences2I

Yeah Hant’s…they too got their problems, tjat still does not change the size of Barbados or the fact that we have ample proof that DBLP have for decades ignored the deteriorating water mains and refused to acknowledge that the system needed an upgrade, despite they having money over the decades to start the process.

Am well aware of the issues affecting North America, but they can say they have populations in the millions and land masses that extend across 2 and 3 oceans…..what’s DBLP excuse Hants….not enough yardfowls.

I saw recently dude responsible for the environment in the UK lied about his location while sunning his ass in Barbados, 3 storms passed by in the UK while he was sunning himself, causing massive damage and discomfort to taxpayers…..he recently resigned as he should…..the DBLP does not answer to anyone, they believe themselves to be lord and master and not accountable to the people….that’s the problem.

  20. Well Well & Consequences2I Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences2I

I gotta tell you Hants, I worry about that Canadian dollar. It just won’t stabalize.

  21. @Hants the problem here is that we “import” Canadian tourists and as the Barbados dollar is pegged against the US dollar, Canadian spend will probably decrease along with a decline in Canadian tourists. Not to worry, the MoF will further reduce the price of petrol at the pump as part of our year long celebration of In(ter)dependence and as a gift to the long suffering people of Barbados for all the sacrifices we have so willing accepted without complaint.

  22. Well Well & Consequences2I Avatar
    Well Well & Consequences2I

What I was told is the Canadians been keeping Barbados economy afloat for the last year or 2 re tourism, Barbados is still getting tourist, so they must be Americans with some South Americans and Europeans thrown in but those are the cruiseliners, day tourists…..unless they got another source.

  23. Question fearplay are you recommending civil disobedience towards those employees working for BWA as a step forward and if so why did you and your ilk lead by the opposition not make said suggestions to the populace under the same circumstances when in goverance

  26. You know what ac, it is wrong to take it out on the BWA employees, of course it is. But a good leader would step forward in their defence, and deflect the blame from them towards himself. Instead, they are left to carry the blame, while their political bosses are hiding.

  27. โ€œSolidified with unnecessary distrubance to innocent peoples lives. The article goes on to detail how the people who are living in restricted water areas are resorting to uncivilized actions that can hurt or harm the employees of the BWA. These kind of actions in retrospect can be linked to the irresponsible mouthings of a POLITICAL GUNGHO INDIVIDUAL attached to the (DLP) and its leadership in the past few weeks.โ€

The above comments are more than applicable to former DLP candidate for St. Joseph, RANDALL ROUSE, since he was the FIRST โ€œPOLITICAL GUNGHO INDIVIDUAL attached to the (DLP)โ€ to organize a protest march.

  28. The first person, who tried to instigate residents of St. Joseph, was none other than the former DLP CANDIDATE for that constituency, RANDAL ROUSE.

It seems as though you have CONVENIENTLY developed symptoms of Alzheimerโ€™s or you are PURPOSELY NEGLECTING to comment on Rouseโ€™s role in organizing the PROTEST MARCH in St. Joseph, on January 02, 2016.

Perhaps the following news excerpts will โ€œjogโ€ your memory:

โ€œThe placard-bearing crowd, led by self-confessed self-appointed leader Jacqueline Wilkinson and former DEMOCRATIC LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE for the parish, RANDALL ROUSE, walked from Sugar Hill to Airy Hill, in St Joseph.โ€ [Nationnews.com, January 02, 2016]

โ€œYesterday morning, about 50 residents from Lammings Park, St Joseph and a few from nearby Braggs Hills, raised their placards lambasting the Barbados Water Authority for โ€œneglectingโ€ the parish for the majority of December.
On their minds were dry taps and water bills. DEFEATED DEMOCRATIC LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATE IN THE LAST ELECTION, RANDALL ROUSE, took part in the MARCH.โ€ [Nationnews.com, January 03, 2016]

Rouse was not pleased that approximately 50 people participated in the march:

โ€œROUSE, who led a small group of dissatisfied St Joseph residents in a protest march against the Barbados Water Authority, felt more people should have come out in support. โ€œQuite frankly, no, I am not pleased with the turnout because for the amount of people in this catchment area we should have had a bigger turnout.โ€ [Nationnews.com, January 03, 2016]

In the interest of the “FACTS” and “TRUTH” you always allude to, the next time you comment on any form of protest action relative to the water situation, remember to mention Randal Rouse and Mia Mottley.

Doan menshun one wid out de nex’.

  29. If Barbadians were so disillusioned and frustrated by the performance or lack thereof of this present administration, would the thousands that participated at the opening event for our 50th anniversary of independence brave the heat and rain to attend?
The Barbados Labour Party must be a very concern, nervous, frightened and desperate organization because positive things are happening in Barbados. Excellent performance in tourism last year and this year is projected to be even better.Investments are coming – Sam Lord’s Castle re-development and the Solar Plant in Wildey to name only a few. Hundreds of Public Workers are being re-employed with new employees also joining the Public Service.I am sure these things have the BLP in panic mode.
The water problem will be sorted out in the fullness of time.
Mia Mottley and the BLP must fear Owen Arthur more-so than this great DLP administration.
The BLP is destined to be the opposition after the next general elections -THREE LOVE

Btw,why dont you get your minister of commerce, the garrulous skeetebay fella,to use all his long talk foolishness to have lowered the price of gas at the pump.
Btw,what heat and rain you talking about on January 5th.Don’t you realize there was no rain to interrupt the event and in case you don’t know this is the time of year when temperatures at at their lowest.Last nite the low was 19C the high was 28c…very comfortable days weatherwise in paradise. You could enquire why Trudeau choose Nevis over Barbados.

  33. @ Gabriel who wrote “You could enquire why Trudeau choose Nevis over Barbados.”

The answer is simple. “Privacy” and security is easy to manage in Nevis.

  34. Negroman every word you say is true the underground yard fowls are jittery. The large crowd in Independence Square was no laughing matter politically speaking. The frothing at the mouth by Mia and Bizzy gets the attention of their lackeys in the press and the blog owner clones. The masses on the other hand are not going down that road. At ground zero its looking a lot like 3-nil in the Bees tail.

Out of nowhere Pele Bradshaw appear to tell Short Man to frig off. The Bees are in disarray. Mia can only count on one supporter that’s her sister in winter scarf wear Cynthia. Interesting days lie ahead if as the pundits say the economy is heading in the right direction. The Dees have their noses in front.

A solution to the northern water woes will be found. The country is in solidarity with the St. Joseph folk. You cant blame Froon for the lack of rain. St. Kitts which fits into Barbados a few times with a tiny population rations water. Neighbor islands with rivers don’t have enough water for their people because of the prolonged shortage of rain. None of this stopped the massive crowd from a trek into Bridgetown last week to hear Froon. Mia throwing pieces of shiite against the wall hoping some sticks. Froon working quietly as is his wont biding his time. Pelt at the wall again Mia.

An instigator is an instigator no matter which side of the fence. However it all comes down to influence and leverage. .In reality there is no contest with a Rouse vs Mottley when it comes to both influence and leverage Rouse being the weakest link will come across as a low level “has been ” trying to score brownie points on a serious and volatile issue although the same can be said of Mia with less trepidation giving credit to her as the leader of the BLp making her influence a lot stronger as she presently sits in Parliament as the leader of the opposition BLP where her power lies within her hands of casting votes to implement social and economic policies
Any one who would want to believe that a one time candidate mouthings can be of a great influence or should be a cause of real or great concern is being a bold faced hypocrite or in need of truth serum
On the other hand Mia Mottley influence encompassed a large voting block and for that reason her utterances ought to be taken seriously especially when those mouthings borders on idle chatter to cause mayhem and division
But then again as in the past one sees how easily Mia can be drawn into and swept away but yardfowl tidal waves of great recklessness rather than she be cast into the clam seas and swept to shore by what is safe and what is best for the protection of the country and its people,s national interest ,

A letter was delivered, can anyone tell me if it contained viable solutions to the problem? Or was this another effort at becoming a post woman? Mia Mottley seems to have a penchant for delivering letters, and to me unless there are viable solutions to this water problem coming from the leader and members of the opposition, then to me it is just another charade aimed at incitement.

  41. @ac

Address this issue: What has the DLP done for its citizens since they took office in ‘2008, and what have they done since their manifesto in “2013. Here is there manifesto. Read it especially page 45 where it talks about Water. Then read the rest of it, and you can see why citizens are upset and are asking for political heads. As a matter of fact, every BU contributor should read it and ask if your better off.

    http://www.caribbeanelections.com/eDocs/manifestos/bb/DLP_manifesto_2013.pdf

  42. YOU are the ones โ€œbeing BOLD FACED HYPOCRITES or in need of TRUTH SERUM.โ€

In July 2014, for example, when Mottley organized the solid waste tax protest, the AC consortium was the first ones to DISMISS media reports that over 3,000 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED in the protest. You were of the OPINION that MOTTLEY COULD NOT INFLUENCE SO MANY PEOPLE TO JOIN IN THE MARCH.

โ€œBRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Thursday July 24, 2014, CMC โ€“ Thousands of Barbadians took to the streets on Thursday to protest against the imposition of the Municipal Solid Waste Tax.โ€ [Caribbean 360, July 24, 2014]

When compared to Randall Rouse, you are NOW saying Mottleyโ€™s โ€œinfluence a lot stronger as she presently sits in Parliament as the leader of the opposition BLP where her power lies within her hands of casting votes to implement social and economic policies.โ€ To quote the Indians in cowboy movies: โ€œAC speak with fork tongue.โ€

So, on one hand you gave her a FAILING GRADE for organizing the solid waste tax protest, especially when one takes into consideration that the solid waste tax affected the ELEVEN parishes of Barbados.

But on the other hand, for her actions in this situation whereby the โ€œwater woesโ€ are affecting THREE parishes, you are saying her โ€œinfluence is a lot stronger as she presently sits in Parliament.โ€

    YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED.

The DLP needs to pay someone else to push their propaganda on BU, since the consortium is doing a terrible job.

  43. @ race horse YOU read it is you and the other blp foot soldiers who need an issue or several issues to bring to table before the next election

    Waste of time.

    Don’t worry …. be happy!!

    It works!!

“The Lord has been the people’s guide for past 300 years

With Him still on the people’s side we have no doubts or fears.”

We never get to sing that part of the anthem but it exists!!

Wonder how many children even know it!!

Mia and her lot, Freundel and his …. total complete waste of time.

    Have not got a clue!!

  46. “If Barbadians were so disillusioned and frustrated by the performance or lack thereof of this present administration, would the thousands that participated at the opening event for our 50th anniversary of independence brave the heat and rain to attend?”

The comment is worthy of analysis and debate. The question is a legitimate one. I am sure those celebrating included the retrenched NCC workers and others still awaiting severance, unemployment, tax refunds and generally those disadvantaged by the policies of the current DLP administration such as those now denied access to university education. No wonder AC can gloat.

  47. @ac

You dodge the issue every time on BU. Your words are as worthless as you parties manifesto. The BLP might have had 14 years, but the DLP has done more damage to the country in less time. Before ‘2008, there was water, there was 15% VAT. There was $1.00 bus, and van fares, there was no dumping fees, there was no garbage piled up in the streets………

    No they will not.

    Lollll!!!!!!

You do know don’t you that Harvard does not admit duncy people even if their daddy is a big shot in some 2 x 4 place.

Harvard uses an old fashioned admissions standard.

    Something called MERIT.

  49. Tron January 12, 2016 at 12:09 AM “Why do we need a QEH? I fly to New York to my private doctor!”

We still all need the QEH. If we need urgent treatment a doctor in New York is way too far away.

    Trip to Adams airport=1/2 hour.
    Flight to New York=5 hours
Checking through customs and immigration at Kennedy airport=1 hour if you are lucky
Taxi or ambulance to a doctor/hospital=1/2 hour to two hours depending on weather and traffic.

By the time the New York doctors gets to see you (and remember you are not his only patient) you will likely be deader than a door-nail.

In an emergency we still all need the QEH.
