Not sure if you are aware but on Tuesday of last week [23 April 2025] the construction site on Brighton beach pumped sewage into the sea and are continuing to pump a large volume of water full of sediment into the sea and the sea is white. We know that it is sewage as the suck wells on the premises were not drained prior to excavation and the excavators burst right through them.

This was caught on camera on Tuesday when they began pumping and the entire neighbourhood smelled high of sewage. I am interested in discussing this further with you to get this issue out to the public. Attached is a video of the sewage going in to the sea and another video of how white the sea is from the sediment. The pumping will have to be continuous as the water in the dugout foundation replenishes rapidly.

  1. The video doesn’t give a clear account of what is happening pertaining to sewage going into the sea
However matters of such concern should be taken to the minister of the environment
    Xxxx
However I clearly remember govt ardent and always willing to please big business when allowing the big Cruise Industry to dock in Carlisle Bay for several weeks during Covid resulting in the destruction of the Coral Reefs which also gave cause for major enviromental damage to ocean life
Would not be surprise if govt signed agreements with this company to dig and dump without govt officials being diligent to what actions the company might do to preserve the surroundings and the environment

  2. WELCOME 2 BRITAIN – THE LAND OF SEWAGE DUMPING – SHYTE, WOMEN’S HYGIENCE PRODUCTS, PIG, HORSE & HUMAN EFFLUENT FLOATING IN WHAT WAS PRISTINE ATLANTIC & NORTH SEA WATERS, LAKES, RIVERS & OTHER WATERWAYS

Please say this is not so!!!

Just as I am about to “BOOK” for 3 weeks of “SEABATHS” at Miami, Browns et al – I had to hit the “DELETE BUTTON”!!!

HAS BONKERS BRITAIN NOW BECOME BONKERS BRASSBADOS

Let’s hope this is addressed swiftly for this is having a devastating impact in Britain & if “TRAVEL AGENTS” get “TRADEWINDS” of this kinda’ SHYTE” blowing across BIMSHIRE* – the “MOTTLET CREW GOV” will be hearing about it!!!

The UK GOV is planning 2 “LOCK UP” #WaterBosses 4 pumping any kind of SHYTE* into our waters – BIM* MUST FOLLOW SUIT!!!

The issue of sewage dumping in Britain’s waterways has reached alarming (IF NOT PLANDEMIC*levels), with significant environmental, economic, and public health consequences!!!

    Look @recent reports:

    1. Record-Breaking Sewage Discharges

In 2024, water companies in England released untreated sewage into rivers and coastal waters for 3.6 million hours, a slight increase from 2023 and the highest on record. However, Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) reported even higher figures, estimating 4.7 million hours of sewage spills across the UK, including 592,478 individual spills

Thames Water, the largest privatized utility, saw a 50% increase in raw sewage discharges (298,081 hours in 2024), with some spills lasting over 150 days in ecologically sensitive areas like the River Misbourne. Other companies, such as Anglian Water, (ONE OF MY SUPPLIERS) reported a 64% rise in discharges

    2. Environmental and Health Impacts

Protected ecosystems like Chesil Beach (Dorset) and the River Tweed faced prolonged sewage pollution, threatening biodiversity and habitats. The shellfish industry, particularly mussel and oyster farms, suffered export bans due to contamination, costing millions in lost revenue

Health risks surged, with 1,853 illness reports linked to sewage in 2024, including severe cases like heart infections and gastroenteritis. For example, a sea swimmer in Bognor Regis required open-heart surgery after exposure to sewage-contaminated water. SAS estimates that 75% of UK rivers pose serious health risks

    3. Systemic Failures and Corporate Mismanagement

Underinvestment and profit prioritization are central issues. Water companies paid £1.2 billion in shareholder dividends in 2023–24 while infrastructure crumbled. Thames Water admitted neglecting sewage treatment works for decades, leading to illegal discharges

Regulatory shortcomings persist. Pollution incidents in England doubled the Environment Agency’s target, reaching 2,487 in 2024 – the highest in a decade. Monitoring gaps, especially in Scotland and Northern Ireland, obscure the true scale of the crisis

    4. Government and Public Response

The Labour government introduced measures to ban executive bonuses for polluting companies and proposed a £100 billion infrastructure overhaul, but ruled out renationalization due to costs. Regulator OFWAT* approved 36 – 59% bill increases by 2030 to fund upgrades, sparking public outrage

Campaigners demand radical reform, including ending privatization and enforcing stricter penalties. Protests like the 2025 Paddle-Out demonstrations highlight growing public frustration

    5. Economic and Social Repercussions

Sewage pollution has delayed housing projects and deterred tourism. The Environment Agency blocked 60 planning applications from 2020 – 2024 due to sewage system strain. Coastal towns reported revenue losses as tourists avoided polluted beaches

Public trust has eroded, with 27% of adults in England considering withholding water bill payments

The sewage crisis underscores systemic failures in Britain’s water management, blending aging infrastructure, corporate greed, and regulatory inertia. While investment plans and legislative measures aim to address the issue, critics argue that only transformative reforms – such as public ownership or stringent profit caps, can ensure long-term solutions

For now, communities and ecosystems continue to bear the brunt of this preventable disaster!!!

STOP THE MADNESS ON THAT PRISTINE ISLAND – PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Can someone explain the video to me? I think I missed what it is trying to show.

What is next? A paint drying video to explain toxic fumes escaping into the atmosphere.

I did not understand the videos. Please explain.

  4. Doesn’t the text supporting the videos explain the concern even if the contaminated water cannot be seen in the videos?

What should really be investigated is the pumping of the effluent from the IONICS water plant. When sea watwe is made into fresh drinkable water the effluent is acid containing contaminants . These are pumped out to sea, and that is why the reefs out to sea in the area of the BLP electricity generating plant have ALL been destroyed. The environmentalists need to look at this effluent.

Yes, effluent from seawater can be dangerous. Specifically, effluent from processes like seawater desalination, which produces a concentrated
BRINE waste, can have negative impacts on marine ecosystems and potentially on human health. This is due to the high salt and chemical content of the brine, which can harm marine life and potentially contaminate water sources.
This is what I wrote about before. No one has investigated the effluent from the desaLINATION planT from the time it was built. so all the concentrated chemicals and concentrated brine, over the years has polluted the West Coast for these years, but I remember drawing attention to this potential problem when Wiliams Industries was given the contract for the building of the Desalination Plant; when Denis Kelman drew public ATTENTION to this potential problem.Nobody pAID ATTENTION TO HIM (OR ME) AT THE TIME.NOW IT S COMING BACK TO HAUNT THE PURVEYORS OF THE SUPPOSED BENEFITS.

  7. @Alvin

Although the blogmaster found no evidence that an environmental study of Ionics operation was made public there is general information that emissions from such a plant is harmful to the environment.

Does that sound familiar? Paying massive dividends and not reinvesting?

Classic hedge fund behaviour. And often the CEO’s etc are paid massive salaries.

These sort of actions are not just mismanagement, they are intentional use of funds.

The actions that lead to underinvestment and therefore a breakdown in public health and safety regimes need to be prosecuted.

Directors are ultimately responsible for the actions or inactions of companies.

In such cases as above, the prosecutors should also go after the hedge funds where applicable, as these are the ultimate decision makers. Lift the veil.

But what of regulators who allowed this? either they were ineffectual and incompetent or they were complicit. And they too are paid a washpan of money for regulating the water companies in such as the UK.

As Bushie has referred, too concerned about money and not about proper behaviours.

    Money has become their god.

It still does not excuse BIMSHIRE* – utterly dependent on the “TOURIST $$$$$”…

You turn those “PRISTINE WATERS” of BIM* into a “TOXIC SOUP” – #ThenWhat???

How would the “MOTTLEY-CREW GOV*” appreciate a “DOCU_ADVERT” splattered across “SOCIAL MEDIA” & the “LAMESTREAM MEDIA” of #BBC & #CNN???

Not a very tall comfort 4 the “PALESKIN HOTELIERS” who would be calling her backside in 4 a “MAJOR BOLLOCKING” – as we all know you can’t touch their bottom-line for no reason – as they are the ones propping her up!!!

Let’s see if this is going 2 get addressed ASAP!!!

  10. When those megasize cruise ships arrive at Bridgetown port. They are very hungry for many thousand of gallons of water to service their passengers. The source of their supply is sea water. It has to go through the process of desalination in order for it to be made potable.

Is it not rather late in the day for us not to understand this. I raised this issue over a number of years. A firm Environmental policy with sufficient oversight would have been able to have predicted such outcomes.

I am afraid our pursuit off the tourist industry has dulled our critical analysis prowess.

We should all be aware that these cruiseships deposit their sewage directly into the sea. As for our domestic sewage. I have long argued that it should be viewed as a commidity to exploit. Sadly, the ignoramus on the island prefer to dispose of the stuff directly into the sea or into the ground without it been treated.

  11. The only time govt faked concern about sewage going to the sea and streets was when the old dilapidated south west sewer system was busting at the seams and spilled it gusts on the streets of the Southwest
Needless to say it was a highly skilled strategic political move which gained the PM and the blp party much political points
Anyone wanting to hear this govt speaks against themselves on issues directed towards their failed policies would be expecting too much
Transparency has never been this govt best card when it comes to exposure

What I want to know is what is the excavation taking place at Brighton Beach? This is egregious.

Someone deftly changed the subject to the woes in the UK. What does that have to do with Barbados? I think l more than likely engineered by one of the ruling party’s Czars to deflect attention from this total lack of accountability and transparency.

What are you all doing in Barbados – “Gem of the Caribbean Sea”? Is there a determined effort to sabotage every good and beautiful thing of our island into a hell hole?

It would appear to me that a very excellent job is being done. From Education, to tourism, to the judiciary, to the Police force, to the ZR situation the fabric of our society is slowly becoming undone.

What does the State owned Media have to say about this? Nothing. Is it only the Blogmaster of Barbados Underground that is sounding the SOS for Barbados? Oh Emerton – the Mighty Gabby – How true your words are coming to pass now.

May I ask remembering the slogan “Tourism is our Business” What tourists we will attract when the once pristine waters around our island become polluted? That is basically all we have to offer now. The sugar industry has been all but decimated.

What does the Good lady, the Honourable Prime Minister have in mind? Mash up and build back?

Every day I come here I MOURN for my island home. I pray for Barbados. I cry out to the Almighty for you all but it’s time that you take some of that burden on yourselves.

Take a look at what is happening B’Badians. This is horrific. What will become of you all?

  13. What happening at Brighton, Joe’s River, Sandy Lane blocking parking on the road way etc it the same thing. Barbadians are treated like outcasts in their own country. A government which preached transparency is happy to be conveniently silent to satisfy the investment dollars.

  14. I don’t know what is going on at Brighton but what is published in this article.

From the info provided I would first assume that in this location there are not suck well but in fact septic tanks as suck well are self draining and not suitable in this location .

Maybe the author should if possible have provided vids of the septic tanks being destroyed and the discharge of the contents into the water being pumped into the sea.
If the septic tanks were pumped or not if they are broken by an excavator they will still pollute the area with stick odors

When u dig in the region where the water table is so close to the surface you will need to be continually pumping if you are going to be building or doing repair work . Because the water is turbid ( white ) from the sediments does not mean it is polluted ( it may be cleaner than some of the rain water that run through the gullies and into the sea). This water is probably nearly the same as the near shore sea water except that it contains more sediments

    Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

For those making false claims about the mega cruise dumping shit in the sea maybe they should google a query to seek the correct information

Forgive me! I have been having fun with my favourite old white man, Richard D. Wolff from early this morning.

  17. @ John2,
I was very fortunate to live under the flight path of the iconic Concorde airplane. You would hear it; before you saw it. I would always take time to view it until it disappeared over the horizon. Sadly, for numerous reasons, Concorde’s existence became unsustainable. It ceased from flying.

I have no sense of nostalgia for those toxic cruise ships that impact negatively the Caribbean’s natural environment.

One day, hopefully, you will have the wisdom to understand my sage words.
