‘Miss Ram’ Caught Selling Inferior Covid Rapid Test

Miss Ram always find ways to be in the news mostly in an unfavourable light. Her latest flirt with the local newsfeed is that she has been exposed selling an unapproved, inferior off the shelf Covid 19 rapid test at her hardware store Builders Value Mart. A local press report quoted Miss Ram as saying:

Let me do my own research because I like to understand things. I will have to investigate because when I do certain things, I check first. I don’t know where the error has occurred, were they not known or what has come up. But if it is definitely banned and if they have done it, definitely it will go off the shelves right away.

Miss Ram
It is a Chinese manufactured product with the name COVID-19 (SARS-Cov-2) IgG/IgM Antibody Test Kits (Colloidal Gold).

It was drawn to the blogmaster’s attention the product highlighted below is the real macoy which is sold for about three times what Miss Ram is/was selling her inferior imitation.

The question on the lips of onlookers is – why would Miss Ram import Covid 19 rapid test kits during a pandemic without seeking approval or validation from the Ministry of Health? Whose side is she on besides greed?

    she would never do it if she didn’t think she could get away with it…been greedy her whole life, siphoning off water, low salaries,,how much more do yall need to see. people should not even shop in those dumps..

    What exactly does she have to research? The government went to great lengths last year to publish the brands that were approved and the countries they were approved for, there is nothing for her to research either. Take the dam rubbish off the shelves as of today.

    What I will say through is Kudos to the local authorities for acting quickly on this issue. The article this week in Barbados Today also posted the brands that were approved, so if BT could find and publish this , how come Miss Ram could not find it? This truly is a despicable act where an opportunist saw the opening to make a quick buck by passing off an inferior product for a real one. I mean we are in a battle for life and death here do some have no shame?

    How is it possible that a Hindu could be in Barbados for 50 years and corrupt every social system there is and no government has seen her as a real and present threat to democracy.

    Has there been anything illegal or immoral which she has not done to mek a dollar?

    When will the law ever see this woman as a vector for all types of conspiracies against the country, corruption?

    Yesterday we were fighting with you about the prosecution of elites instead of the poor in order to set right examples. This is a prime example. Because you can’t on the one hand be demanding that the general population adhere to all manner of Covid mandates but a Ram goat has no higher order of care to support what are deemed as lifesaving measures.

    This is exactly what we’ve been contending. The criminal justice system needs by focused on her ilk, if we serious.

    We never understood why our country has to be some open ,”sapulcah” for whosoever will. Countries like Mexico don’t sell their people out like this.

    A water test kit anyone can use might sell well and won’t face the regulations for human use.

    This could have been a serious problem had it not been caught in time. Right now we have thousands of Bajans some D and some B home isolating and in centres and an opportunist now tries to sneak unauthorised strips onto the shelves for Bajans to buy. Of course one look at the presentation and price would tell you them was a joke. I just Google a recognised brand to see what it sells for in the UK and the price was around $30 Barbados for a single test. So how the hell a real test could sell here for $6 bajan?? Lol

    Anyhow it seems like where ever their is controversy the same names are always involved.

    I am not sure but I know that the Barbados Govermment published the brands that were acceptable and went on to even list the countries each kit were used for. It came out as a government statement from the ministry of health to the best of my memory.

    I remember them being certain brands that were used for reentry into the UK and the USA, but to be honest I can’t remember the names off hand.

    The article clearly identifes the approved brands and goes on to state these brands were chosen because they are the ones recognised by the UK and other countries.

    How then can a business person claim they did not know?

    All these things we as a country will have to watch for going forward. Then we have those that will try to import product off the grey market and bring them into Barbados. This basically is product that is supposed to be in other countries but have been diverted here. Hopefully though the local authorised distributors will deal with those clowns as well.

    What concerns me though is that we already had the vaccine scam and now this, all at a time when we need people to take this virus seriously. I guess the profiteers are no respector of circumstance. It just takes some like those to give all business people a bad name.

    The police and the customs department as well. Good thing though is with the blogs nothing stays a secret too long.

    The other thing we have to watch for too is people trying to bring in the saliva test. A friend of mine who is in the medical field says they can be bought for less than a dollar US in the far east. Of course those too are as fake as a $3 bill lol

    @JohnA….you referring to customs for their speedy and efficient clearance? You done know Mrs Ram own half the employees there, nothing she can’t get in the country and classified incorrectly at the lowest or 0% rate.

    Lol no I meant the ministry of health for moving on the issue quickly. Although they should of called it what it was and ordered an immediate removal. From what I have heard though the covid unit has been working. They have been checking shops and rum shops for breaking curfew and doing quite a bit of work. Also heard a business owner say he reached David Ellis quickly and he was very helpful. So among the bad some good has been happening it seems.

    I don’t get it. I cannot understand this unshakeable dedication to a political party unless it is of personal benefit to you and/or yours.

    What is a political party any that it should evoke such loyalty through changes of leadership and candidates?

    In our case, unlike that of the USA, there is no expressed ideological difference to explain the loyalty when the cast of characters changes.
