Abortion, what is it? It is the deliberate removal from the womb of a foetus during pregnancy by methods that are quite horrible.
Methods:
Medical – Abortion medicines are taken called Mifepristone which stops the hormone that allows the pregnancy to continue, and about 24 to 48 hours later Misoprostol which within 4 to 6 hours breaks down the lining of the womb, causing bleeding and the loss of the foetus. Now depending on the length of the pregnancy an operation may be needed to remove the foetus.
Surgical – Having used an anaesthetic, a tube is inserted into the cervix, and on into the womb; the foetus is then suctioned out, or a forceps is inserted through the cervix and the foetus is pulled out whole or in pieces. These are the most used ways of abortion.
What is a foetus? It is an unborn human baby.
Why abortion?
In some cases women’ lives are in danger when a foetus dies within, or is developing not as it ought to be, or is in the fallopian tube, or is not correctly located in the uterus where it would develop. Likewise, those whose physical health is poor that they are at risk; ending the pregnancy may be necessary. For women who through rape or incest are pregnant, you may choose to end the pregnancy, but there are women who have given birth in such situations and are happy that they did. Investigation and analysis show fear to be the 98% reason why women abort their babies. Sadly, merely out of inconvenient convenience. Understand that abortion is an action that has consequences, and here is what I mean!
GOD’S word and response.
GOD says in 1 John 4:18a: There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear: because fear has torment. From the conception of your life you were formed to be born. In Psalm 139: 15-16 David says: My substance was not hid from YOU, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. YOUR EYES did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in YOUR book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. GOD alone is THE GIVER OF LIFE and THE MAKER OF MANKIND. To take or end a human life deliberately without just cause is murder. In Exodus 20: 13 GOD says: You shall not kill (murder). When you commit murder you come under GOD’S judgement. GOD’S judgements come in the form of curses. Breaking GOD’S word automatically brings you under judgement (curses). Curses are carried out by evil spirits. These curses come in various ways such as feeling troubled, guilty, tormented, condemned, mental instability, a clear sense of wrongdoing or even as physical illnesses. Genesis 9: 6 says: Whoso sheds man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of GOD made HE man. Numbers35: 33-34a says: So you shall not pollute the land wherein you are: for blood it defiles the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it. Defile not therefore the land which you shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel (Barbados). Sadly, abortion (murder) not only brings judgement (a curse in the form of a spirit) on the person (abortor), a curse (spirit) comes into the land, and with enough murders in the land (country) a principality (territorial ruling spirit) comes over the land. Deuteronomy 21: 1-3,8-9 says: If one be found slain (murdered) in the land which the LORD your GOD gives you to possess it, lying in the field (abortion location, clinic or otherwise), and it be not known who (all who were present) has slain him: Then your elders and your judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer, which has not been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke. Be merciful, O LORD, unto YOUR people Israel, whom YOU have redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto the people of Israel’s (Barbados’) charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. So shall you put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when you shall do that which is right in the sight of the LORD? The principality (ruler of lesser evil spirits in the heavens) mentioned earlier now sends evil spirits to people to commit all kinds of murdering in the land (Barbados). Here in Barbados we were previously under the 1868 the Offenses Against the Person Act (sections 61 and 62). Note the words the Person: which is exactly what a foetus is. We were all a foetus before we were born! A foetus is not some strange thing, but it is the forming of a person, and not what some others would have us to believe. Now in 1983 the abortion laws were replaced by the introduction of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act (Act No. 4 of 11, February 1983) and the 1983 Regulations to that act, which enabled abortion to become the number one cause of death in Barbados. We stand guilty before ALMIGHTY GOD, and must repent as a nation. Jesus died for our sins, and took the punishment for our sins (eternal damnation) in our place. Only the BLOOD OF JESUS can pay the price for the blood of these lives, and for any sin. Only by repenting can we remove the judgements (curses) – i.e. beatings, murders, shootings, stabbings, cuttings, lawless evils and wicked behaviour from our land, and do what is right. Know that this message is to all. Let us all repent on behalf of ourselves, our children, our family (past and present) and our nation before it is too late. Time is very short, let us do so while we can!

Your earlier posts @12:27 and 12:30 regarding the religious response is a very reasonable exposition. On the medical side, does your response at 6:08 pm suggest that there could be negative issues with the HPV vaccine?
The Catholic church in Trinidad had initially banned the provision of the HPV vaccine in schools under its control. It then rescinded this ban but requested that the Trinidad Ministry of Health provide full disclosure on the vaccine. Hindu and Muslim organizations also objected to the vaccine.

110 million Americans are estimated to have a sexually transmitted disease! The population of the USA is about 325 million so if one discounts the very young (under 14) and very old (over 80) (i.e not likely to be sexually active) then it may be reasonable to conclude that about 46% of the sexually active are infected. Put another way, if a person had unprotected sex today with an American (who is not that person’s spouse or partner in a monogamous relationship) tonight that person is almost certain to become infected with a STD!

HPV is the most common sexually transmitted disease. Nearly every sexually active woman has it, had it or will get it. But it is not a permanent incurable disease.
Most of the bacterial infections are also curable and temporary. It is the viral infections, notably herpes and HIV, that are incurable and permanent. The HIV rate is low but the herpes rate is estimated at about 20% for adult white women (10% for white men) and 45% for adult black women (20% for black men).

The 46% is my own “back of the envelope” calculation and when one removes those persons who are monogamous from the pool of sexually active, I think it reasonable to surmise that if I had unprotected sex with an American woman who was not in monogamous relationship with me the likelihood of becoming infected with an STD of some kind is uncomfortably high.
It is to be noted that drug resistant bacterial STI’s is on the increase.

In the Caribbean, the schools with the best results in the CAPE exams are schools associated with a religious institution. In Trinidad, the Catholic, Presbyterian, Hindu and Muslim schools dominate the scholarship results. These schools also happen to be single sex schools.

@WW. I hear you. However, it takes a country with considerable resources to have those social programs in place. It is certainly not cheap. Also, having a social protection system in place is only half the challenge. The environment and social space is very important in a child upbringing.
Reproduction, while seen from an evolutionary biology perspective as self- preservation, is also a behavioral action. And any human behavior, even as strong as reproduction, can be altered by social conditioning. Japan is a case in point.
The high violent crime rate in the region, is rooted in our dysfunctional family dynamics and the ever increasing pressure of living in a material world. People living in urban ghettos with no employable skill and barely literate, yet popping out babies… in the end produce another generation of the same and the society pays dearly. Any method to combat or curb this behavior is welcome by me.

Is fat a sign of good nutrition? Has it occurred to you that children may be fat because they are poor and poorly nourished?
If the tax system transfers money to children it is because the tax system recognises that unless the next generation is properly nurtured that societies and their tax systems will fail. No healthy young working people=no taxes can be collected.

I just checked my most recent recent tax return and Barbados’ tax system provides a child deduction of $1,000 BDS per child, and either parent by mutual agreement can take the deduction, or again by mutual agreement the parents can split the deduction and take $500 each. Hardly “huge sums” hardly “exploitation”

SPERM counts have plummeted by nearly two-thirds since the 70s, a major study reveals…..
Sperm counts in Western countries have decreased by half in recent years, suggesting a continuing and significant decline in male reproductive health, a new evidence review reports.
Sperm concentration decreased an average 52 percent between 1973 and 2011, while total sperm countdeclined by 59 percent during that period, researchers concluded after combining data from 185 studies. The research involved nearly 43,000 men in all.
“We found that sperm counts and concentrations have declined significantly and are continuing to decline in men from Western countries,” said senior researcher Shanna Swan.
…[I]n Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia, “the declines are strong, significant and continuing,” she said.
…”We are worried about these low sperm counts not only because people have trouble conceiving, but also because men with low sperm counts go on to have higher all-cause mortality,” Swan said. Studies have shown “they die younger and they have more disease, particularly cardiovascular disease and cancer,” she added.

Outdoor workers and others who spend a lot of time in the sun are at risk of depleting their folic acid, say Australian researchers.
Women who spend a lot of time in the sun are at risk of losing folic acid, according to a new study.
This means outdoor workers and others should speak to their GP if they are pregnant or likely to become pregnant, says researcher Professor Michael Kimlin from the Queensland University of Technology.
He and Dr David Borradale found a 20 per cent reduction in folate levels in a study of Brisbane women aged 18 to 47 who had high rates of sun exposure.
“This is concerning as the benefits of folic acid are well known,” Professor Kimlin said.
Folate has been found to reduce miscarriage and neural tube defects in unborn babies.

A solution to the shortage of space for interns at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) has been handed to the Barbados Government.
It was given by Milo Pinckney, managing director of the American University Integrated Sciences (AUIS) School of Medicine, which recently relocated its facility for Basic Sciences from St Maarten to 5th Avenue, Belleville, St Michael. He was speaking at a ribbon-cutting and white coat ceremony on Saturday evening.
Details of the offer were still being worked out, but Pinckney disclosed that 30 doctors from any local medical facility would be offered internship placements in the AUIS network of facilities.
“Students at any one of the medical schools, after they complete their basic science programme, go into two years of clinical rotations. And these are hands-on observerships, where they are in teaching hospitals throughout the United States and they study the various disciplines. Six cores and then they do a series of weeks of electives, in total 80 weeks of clinical rotations.
