Is at least late, and like most within his field of work, has been drinking the coolaid from Washington tooo long.
And like his peers he want to make ill-considered comparisons between China and the USA. For one, the market activities of the Chinese government have a long and provable tract record for for delivering direct support of the population. These can be seen within relative cost of living metrics as well as a wider range of other micro-economic measures.
Whereas, the actions of the fascist regime in Washington are clearly following the interests of the now well-entrenched oligarchic, or billionaire, class. Providing there are evidences that these revenues will end up in the US Treasury given new levels of graft by the president’s men, and he himself.
That Robinson could have seen this matter as strictly one of public finance while ignoring the many ways in which this criminal Trump administration is imposing a ‘personal tax’ on every single deal they are involved with, payable to cut-outs in the first instance, but obviously rerouted, either now or after leaving office, to Trump or family, would requirement citizenship in a world only inhabited by one-dimensional people.
Maybe Robinson et al will, in the future, stop religiosly following mandates from Washington, less they will be again made fools of. You all look like idiots!
After consideration, weee are disappointed to conclude that Justin Robinson is being economical with the truth.
There is a sentinel study conducted over 30 years which was a comparative analysis between the development path of sub-Sahara Afrikan countries as compared to the then so-called Asian Tigers.
It’s central finding was that the Afrikan countries which were funded by the Western funding agencies hardly grew after decades ………..
Whereas the Asian Tigers which had no relationships with Western funding agencies consistently grew by up to double digits in some years and vastly expanded their economies over the period under review.
This is a study which anybody in finance, banking and economy knows well. We feel sure that Robinson is well familiar.
In these circumstance, we cannot avoid the conclusion that Robinson is either being unfaithful to the truth and/or is engaged in an effort to re-write the history of his life’s work in the interest of empire.
