Grenville Phillips II, Leader of Solutions Barbados

I recently examined category 5 hurricane damage in the worst affected Bahamian islands.  As usual, it was the simple things that caused unnecessary building failures.  I plan to publish our findings, for the benefit of home-owners, in a subsequent article.

To visit the Bahamian islands and return home, I had to go through airport security eight times.  After the collapse of the Twin Towers in 2001, airport security guards confiscated water and sharp objects from carry-on luggage.  However, once you passed through the security scanners, you could purchase water and sharp objects in the departure area, and board the plane with them.

That same year, an airline passenger tried to detonate explosives hidden in his shoes.  Since then, everyone must remove their shoes for inspection before boarding a plane.  For safety reasons, I do not object to the inconveniences of airline travel.  However, I do object to the unsanitary methods.

The guards would to direct travellers to place their shoes in the same bins that they instructed travellers to place their cell-phones, wallets, pens, and jackets.  For the past 18 years, I explained to the guards the unsanitary nature of their instruction, and would place my shoes directly on the conveyor belt in protest.

Dogs and birds walk on the same pavements as humans.  Therefore, most people unavoidably walk on animal excrement.  After walking through animal jobbies, those same shoes are placed in a bin.  Passengers are then forced to place their cell-phones in these filthy bins, and then place their jobby-contaminated phones to their faces when answering calls.

I have seen improvements in my recent travels.  However, Barbadian guards still allow this unsanitary practise at our airport.  While they are trained to protect the public from harm, they appear to be allowing more harm than they are preventing.

Barbadian guards who work at our public buildings appear to be trained differently.  They do not seem to be trained protect the public from harm.  Instead, they seem to be trained to protect public officials from the public.

It is important that our public officials, including judges, tax officials, and regulators, feel safe while working.  If a judge feels that his life is in imminent danger, he may render an unfair sentence.  A fearful tax official may erroneously calculate an excessive tax demand.  To keep them safe, they are provided with our elite unarmed guards.

Before the public can enter some government buildings, they must have their bags and bodies scanned for weapons.  However, most public buildings do not have this service.  Perhaps, because it is not weapons that our public officials fear.

Our public officials are intimidated by a greater threat – an untucked shirt.  Our unarmed guards spring into action when they see one of those.  It matters not that the shirt was specifically designed to be worn untucked.  Our guards insist that there are only two options, tuck it in, or leave.

In order to do business at some government offices, I have had to tuck in all sorts of shirts designed to be worn untucked.  So far, I have only been inconvenienced.  However, I was reliably informed that a guard insisted that a fellow tuck in his shirt jac.  His choices were to either walk around like a clown or leave.

These guards do not care whom they humiliate.  They are sworn to protect our public officials from untucked shirts at all costs.  I can only hope that the next time they see me, they do not insist that I tuck in my jacket.

While men merely suffer inconvenience or humiliation, our women are forced to miss important appointments because they are denied entry.  There are few things more intimidating to our public officials than a strapless dress.  Our women can return home and put on an identical dress with straps, and they would be allowed entry.

If a woman arrived with a back-out, then that would justify a code-red.  A back-out is simply too much kung-fu.  However, the greatest threat to the safety of our public officials are exposed toes.

It matter not how much the shoes cost.  Once our guards see the ten commandments, they go into a cold sweat, and start to see those black stars.  If the lady makes it into the building, there must be a mandatory evacuation.

Why are our public officials such fragile snowflakes?  We graduate hundreds of secondary school graduates every year, who will have to visit public buildings for the first time.  They are not aware of these dress codes.  Why frustrate them so early?  Why can’t our guards exercise some discretion?  Why should our women have to travel back home to change, just because the dress does not have straps?

Countries that try to control every aspect of their citizens’ lives know these methods all too well.  Once you make insignificant actions major offences, with severe consequences for non-compliance, then you can get a compliant population without much national disruption.  A secondary benefit of this method of control, is that it easily identifies those who would likely be non-compliant in the future, so that they can be targeted for re-education.

Do you not know that when a society tries to robotise every process . Workers in that society become robotised? The guards are following orders. Discretion is not a faculty that is usually activated or required. Machines are about to take over. LoL!!!

  3. GRENVILLE, every week you come here picking nits, but neglect to address the weightier matters such as

    IMPROVING THE POLYCLINIC SYSTEM, OR
    FIXING THE HOSPITAL ISSUES OR
GETTING THE GARBAGE PICKED UP OR
FIXING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF BARBADOS OR
FIXING THE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF BARBADOS

When are you going to tell us what you propose to do about your solutions for all these things?

Is Ironside correct when he suggested that you should stick to your Tuesday, where you may find more support.

Is Ironside correct when he suggested that your next sermon be on the message to the Church in Laodicea? [Rev. 3: 14 -16] and that you should stick to your Tuesday Sermon, where you may find more support there.

Is Ironside really suggesting that you are LUKE WARM, NEITHER HOT OR COLD AND ONLY WORTHY OF BEING SPEWED FROM THE MOUTH?

Is Ironside really suggesting that you are politically wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:?

Would the text below describe you in anyway?
“You tithe mint, dill and cummin, and every kind of garden herb, yet you have neglected the weightier matters such as justice, mercy, faith, and the love of God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.” (Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42).

Can you furnish answers to any of these reasonable questions from a poor citizen of Barbados?

  4. Very good post.

These seem like problems that can be easily fixed if attention was given to them.

One general email and an accompanying PDF file with the new rules to be posted at the door.

The new rules can also be posted on a government website

Silly rules provide an opportunity for guards to have a power trip.

Thanks Grenville. This is so funny.

You haven’t mentioned “arm-holes” Of course every dress has to have arm holes, otherwise how would any lady most of whom have two arms get into it?

But “arm-holes” that is sleeveless dresses drive minor Bajan government officials crazy.

They seem to believe that the naked arms of a 60 or 70 year old woman, will give the young male clerks such powerful erections, that said clerks will go mad with sexual desire and and be unable to complete their tasks. Such will NEVER, NEVER happen. Lolll!!!

If a sleeveless dress was so powerful an aphrodisiac then we wouldn’t need Viagra or Cialis would we?

The guards are being silly, and their supervisors, managers and department heads who made up these pointless rules are just plain stupid.

The supervisors, managers and department heads make me ashamed to be a Bajan.

  6. Put you phone inside of you shoes and you would not have to worry about it touching the bin.
    OR
Take a tissue with you to put you phone on.

When one is travelling they usually have a carryon bag, place the phone in your bag along with you keys and any items from your pockets.

  8. Airport security does not only confiscate water – they confiscate any liquids, gels or aerosols over 3.5ozs. many of which you can later obtained after you have passed through security (I assumed that they have already been checked by security before being placed in airport stores).

Name a sharp object that is confiscated by airport security that you can obtain after you have passed through security?

  9. SirSimpleSimonPresidentForLife Avatar

In almost every pharmacy and airport shop one can buy alcohol impregnated wipes, often is single packages good for wiping down phones etc. Or one can buy baby “Wet Ones” which do the same job.

But I honestly don’t worry too much about germs. Humans have been around for thousands of years. We are the survivors of all the germs that mother nature has ever tossed at humanity.

So yes I am immunised, yes i wash my hands with soap and water. Yes I take a bath once or twice a day, and yes like all sensible people I do not go bare unless I am planning to reproduce. and I haven’t planned to reproducein nearly 40 years. Lolll!!!!

Apart from these things I don’t worry overmuch about germs.

  10. John2:

I did not state that airport security only confiscates water. Most travelers are aware that there is a list of liquids.

I have purchased sharp local-craft items in the departure areas in the Caribbean.

The security instructs passengers to place their laptops and cell phones in the bins. Where do you put your laptop, jacket, cell phone, and any pens you may have?

  11. Simple:

I used to walk around outside barefeet for most of my life. We had a farm, so I stepped in my share (and more) of dog, cat, cow, sheep, goat, and chicken waste.

I began to be conscious about germs after our son was born. Since he used to crawl around the floor (before he could walk), I would insist that visitors to our home remove their shoes at the door.

  12. Neither did you state that they are other items beside water.

Not only liquids – gels and aerosols also.

So not to misplace my items or forget them, I place them in my carry on bag. if I have a jacket I place it over the carry on.
If I have a laptop I place in in a separate bin by itself as I was instructed to do a million times.

After I have been scanned everything goes back where I want them to be. I do not expected to be treated differently to the millions of passenger that travel each day because of a little shit.

  13. When you stepped into all that farmyard manure did it make you sick? NO!!!!

  14. Have you ever had a sharp object taken away and then purchased the same item after security.

Large scissors are taken away but small ones are allowed so when you say craft items then you would have to check the sizes.

  15. “Name a sharp object that is confiscated by airport security that you can obtain after you have passed through security?”

That’s the level of debate that you have to deal with

  16. John2:

You wrote: “When you stepped into all that farmyard manure did it make you sick? NO!!!!”

Were you there? Why not ask a question and then wait for a response?

  17. If I really needed an answer I would have waited, don’t you think?
I don’t have to be there to know that the only sick it would have made you is a momentarily sick in the stomach.
I can add human to the list of your animals. stepped in all barefooted. Nothing a little water wouldn’t take care off.

  18. The enforcement of the dress code appears to be more important than providing a good customer service, e.g. processing an ID card or passport within 10 working days. Are our public officials putting the “cart before the horse”?

I worried too about dirty floors when i had crawling infants, and yes I still keep a mat near to the main entrance where the family and visitors can leave shoes.

But the baby will survive, because that baby too is a survivor of all the germs that have been thrown at humanity.

Once I was worried about a toddler eating off the floor, and a visiting sister, a nurse, told me not to worry, that ALL toddlers sometimes eat off the floor, and that a bit of dirt might actually strengthen their immune systems.

The toddler is now middled aged, and healthy as a horse. Lol

I saw a toddler happily eating cookie crumbs off the floor yesterday. I am sure that she will long outlive me.

    IMPROVING THE POLYCLINIC SYSTEM
It would help if the polyclinics operated an appointment system, except for emergencies of course. The polyclinics offer excellent care, but the wait can be burdensome. We all have smart phones in our hands. Let us use them smartly. Patients should be able to make appointments via their phone, just as they make online appoints for American visa interviews. But yes the technology costs money, and it must be very secure.

    FIXING THE HOSPITAL ISSUES OR
According to the last Sunday’s Sun newspaper, page 31A the PM has set the new executive director and the QEH’s team to work on this. The PM wants continuous maintenance. She wants better meals, she wants Wi-FI, she wants more community nurses, including some to work with those who are having difficulties managing their diabetes and other chronic illnesses. I am sure that we can all add to this to-do list. The PM was worried about dust. Dust? And the hospital has PAID housekeepers on staff? I would like to see all newborns tested for sickle cell, so that as young adults people would know their own status and can make informed decisions about whether to have children and with whom. Testing infants for sickle cell has to be cheaper than life long treatment for sickle cell.

    GETTING THE GARBAGE PICKED UP
Let us start with sorting in our own kitchens. Let the private sector pick up the clean plastic metal and glass once a month or even once a quarter. How can it hurt to keep a clean ketchup bottle in our homes for a few weeks. Let the SSA pick up the smelly food waste once per week. Once per day in Bridgetown and other commercial districts

FIXING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF BARBADOS
This is a biggie and perhaps the most difficult fix of all. Throw more training for teachers, and more money at the thing. Everybody, parents, children, principals, Ministry officials show more respect for the work that teachers do. Dare i suggest a library in every school? And a library period added to every timetable, even if the school day has to go to 3:30.

FIXING THE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF BARBADOS
I fixed this already. I use the American saying “follow the money”. Who is benefiting for the current disarray. It sure as as hell ain’t the poor tail drivers and conductors. As a condition of getting and keeping a licence to move PEOPLE not pigs, make Mr. and Mrs. Deep Pockets spend more of the money treating their CUSTOMERS well. And paying the drivers, conductors and mechanics well. And look i would even go hardcore on this. People should have to bid for the privilege of transporting the paying customers, and in order for the bid to be successful it would be clearly stated up front exactly what the expectations are. Then for goodness sake, enforce, enforce, enforce. Mr. and Mrs. Deep Pockets who chose to be Hardears will lose their licences.

  35. @Grenville, great and timely article. In a country like Bermuda, where there is no litter, the speed limit is 35Kph, noo peeing on streets, no squatting, no wayside vending and Anti Corruption Legislation is enforced such asinine rules do not exist. Why not Barbados? Some politicians and lawyers have messed up de damn country for their own selfish gains, the #Unpalatabletruth be told!

It also saddens the whole country with nearly 1600 or more lawyers not one of them has the belly to challenge these non-essential extreme rules. Perhaps, the persons with power who institute these rules lack authority in their homes thus become drunk with government power.

Humility and empathy are sadly lacking in Barbados among many with powers who seem to forget social-emotional justice is required for humanity to coexist in peace. The crux of the matter is that too many in Barbados abuse gazetted powers and many fail to realize conferred power is temporary thus the said pen that appoints can disappoint.

  36. GP:

You have asked those questions before and I answered them. Our answers are also on our web site, and have been there for the past 4 years – you may refer to them at any time. Nevertheless, our answers follow.

    IMPROVING THE POLYCLINIC SYSTEM

The basic problem with public services are that they are poorly managed. The solution is to better manage them. The question is, what management system can we use? We propose to use the proven international management standard, ISO 9001. It works well in the public sector.

    FIXING THE HOSPITAL ISSUES

Ditto. We actually had a public workshop where we invited Dexter James, and the CEOs of all public services to learn how to implement the management standard. At the workshop, we used the QEH as an example, and designed an ISO compliant system for the QEH within 2 hours to show how easy it actually was.

    GETTING THE GARBAGE PICKED UP

The twin problems are management and maintenance. Therefore, we plan to manage it properly, and allow private sector mechanics to tender for the repair of one truck each. The repair contract would include a 6-month maintenance period, where any maintenance issues arising during those 6 months would be repaired at no cost to the Government.

Once mechanics have properly repaired one truck, they will be allowed to tender to repair other trucks, in addition to the one they previously repaired.

    FIXING THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM

The main problem is the curriculum – which is designed to benefit the 20% of students who are able to grasp the information earlier than their classmates. Therefore, we would re-arrange the curriculum, so that the more exciting, easier-to-learn practical/marketable aspects of subjects are taught before the more complex theory. This way, all students should benefit.

Therefore, we would teach conversational language before conjugating the verbs, music by ear before music theory, applied sciences before theoretical, etc. Once students find that they are benefiting from learning, they are more likely to exercise the discipline required to understand more complex material.

    FIXING THE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM

Similar to the garbage. It is mostly a management and maintenance problem, and it is solved in a similar manner.

You may read many of our proposed solutions and implementation plans at the link below.

  41. @GP, do you know what is Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) Its a claimed sensitivity to electromagnetic fields, to which negative symptoms are attributed. … The majority of provocation trials to date have found that such claimants are unable to distinguish between exposure and non-exposure to electromagnetic fields.

    Types of EMF exposure
There are two types of EMF exposure. Low-level radiation, also called non-ionizing radiation, is mild and thought to be harmless to people. Appliances like microwave ovens, cellphones, Wi-Fi routers, as well as power lines and MRIs, send out low-level radiation.

High-level radiation, called ionizing radiation, is the second type of radiation. It’s sent out in the form of ultraviolet rays from the sun and X-rays from medical imaging machines.

EMF exposure intensity decreases as you increase your distance from the object that’s sending out waves. Some common sources of EMFs, from low- to high-level radiation, include the following:

    Non-ionizing radiation
    microwave ovens
    computers
    house energy meters
    wireless (Wi-Fi) routers
    cellphones
    Bluetooth devices
    power lines
    MRIs
    Ionizing radiation
    ultraviolet light
    X-rays

  42. There’s disagreement over EMF safety because there’s no strong research suggesting that EMFs harm human health.

According to the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), EMFs are “possibly carcinogenic to humans.” The IARC believes that some studies show a possible link between EMFs and cancer in people.

One item most people use every day that sends out EMFs is the cellphone. Use of cellphones has increased significantly since they were introduced in the 1980s. Concerned about human health and cellphone use, researchers began what would become the largest studyTrusted Source to compare cancer cases in cellphone users and nonusers back in 2000.

The researchers followed cancer rates and cellphone use in more than 5,000 people in 13 countries around the world. They found a loose connection between the highest rate of exposure and glioma, a type of cancer that occurs in the brain and spinal cord.

The gliomas were more often found on the same side of the head that people used to speak on the phone. However, the researchers concluded that there was not a strong enough connection to determine that cellphone use caused cancer in the research subjects.

In a smaller but more recent study, researchers found that people exposed to high levels of EMF for years at a time showed an increased risk of a certain type of leukemia in adults.

European scientists also uncovered an apparent link between EMF and leukemia in children. But they say that monitoring of EMF is lacking, so they’re not able to draw any certain conclusions from their work, and more research and better monitoring is needed.

A review of more than two dozen studies on low-frequency EMFs suggests these energy fields may cause various neurological and psychiatric problems in people. This studyTrusted Source found a link between EMF exposure and changes in human nerve function throughout the body, affecting things like sleep and mood.

    Danger levels
An organization called the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) maintains international guidelines for EMF exposure. These guidelines are based on the findings of many years of scientific research.

EMFs are measured in a unit called volts per meter (V/m). The higher the measurement, the stronger the EMF.

Most electrical appliances sold by reputable brands test their products to ensure EMFs fall within the ICNIRP’s guidelines. Public utilities and governments are responsible for managing EMFs related to power lines, cellphone towers, and other sources of EMF.

No known health effects are expected if your exposure to EMF falls below the levels in the following guidelines:

natural electromagnetic fields (like those created by the sun): 200 V/m
power mains (not close to power lines): 100 V/m
power mains (close to power lines): 10,000 V/m
electric trains and trams: 300 V/m
TV and computer screens: 10 V/m
TV and radio transmitters: 6 V/m
mobile phone base stations: 6 V/m
    radars: 9 V/m
    microwave ovens: 14 V/m

  43. According to some scientists, EMFs can affect your body’s nervous system function and cause damage to cells. Cancer and unusual growths may be one symptom of very high EMF exposure. Other symptoms may include:

    sleep disturbances, including insomnia
    headache
    depression and depressive symptoms
    tiredness and fatigue
dysesthesia (a painful, often itchy sensation)
    lack of concentration
    changes in memory
    dizziness
    irritability
loss of appetite and weight loss
    restlessness and anxiety
    nausea
    skin burning and tingling
changes in an electroencephalogram (which measures electrical activity in the brain)
The symptoms of EMF exposure are vague and diagnosis from symptoms is unlikely

  44. Wifi in itself may not be a bad idea at QEH but it needs to be time-controlled and not running at 100% 24x 7 x 366 days a year. The cumulative impact from the many neighbors wifi running 100% may impact persons with weak DNA or compromised immune system over time. Perhaps, in time we will know after the development of new detection protocols.

Err or caution is the common sense thing to do. As a ham radio operator, I have had to build my radio room as a Faraday Cage to eliminate PV noise, wifi and its harmonics from overloading my radio systems.

  45. GP says:

    “GREEN MONKEY
DO YOU KNOW WHAT A VOLTAGE CHANNEL IS AND HOW THEY WORK?
    WHAT IS AN EMF?”

I gather that voltage channels exist to control the amount of various elements or chemical substances that are allowed to pass through the cell membrane into the cell interior to maintain optimum cellular health. By the word “voltage” in their name I would gather that their normal operation is regulated by sensing a naturally occurring voltage differential at some point which causes them to open or close as needed and thereby control how much of the particular substance that particular channel regulates is allowed to enter the cell. In Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Basic Medical Science Prof. Martin Pall’s presentation above, it is apparently the voltage channels that control the amount of calcium entering the cell that he says research shows malfunction in the presence of EMFs.

What is an EMF? = Electro Magnetic Field. (I do have O level physics at least, if not biology)

4 sets of question for you GP?

Before you give a vaccine to a child or adult do you/would you review the vaccine manufacturer’s insert (the one that comes in the packaging of all vaccines) with the patient (or its parents if a child)? Would you go over the possible side effects or reactions to the vaccine listed in the manufacturer’s insert and explain what treatments might be needed and could be offered by local doctor’s, health clinics, hospitals to restore the patient to health and what treatment expenses the patient or parents might have to cover on their own. Especially so, if a reaction is severe such as brain damage, seizures etc. and the patient lives in a country with somewhat limited medical resources, like Barbados (or apparently Ireland)?

2 Would you advise any vaccine recipients or parents of child vaccine recipients before receiving the vaccine to always ask the doctor or administrator of the vaccine to review the vaccine insert to see what possible reactions and side effects or harm might come from receiving the vaccine?

If a parent came to you and asked your advice on giving their daughter (or son – note that now apparently Big Pharma wants us to give HPV vaccines to boys too, not just girls) the HPV vaccination, stating that they had concerns about the safety of the vaccine after viewing the video I’ll paste below:

Would you tell them “no worries” and give the vaccine the thumbs up like the Irish medical authorities? Would you reassure them that the apparent brain damage suffered by some Irish females after getting the vaccine was just a “co-incidence” and not a reaction to the vaccine?

Would you tell them you would not recommend one way or the other, but they will have to decide on their own whether or not their child should get the vaccine – being, aware that as well as the proposed benefits, the child could possibly incur significant brain damage or ill health, and in a worst case scenario the reaction could be extremely life disrupting and expensive for the patient and/or parents with little or no support from the medical establishment?

Do you always walk around with your nose at 90 degrees to the horizontal, because you are GOD’S GIFT TO THE REST OF US LOWER LIFE FORMS OF PLANET EARTH AND TO THE WORLD MEDICAL PROFESSION, AND YOU KNOW IT? LOL

  46. re Do you always walk around with your nose at 90 degrees to the horizontal, because you are GOD’S GIFT TO THE REST OF US LOWER LIFE FORMS OF PLANET EARTH AND TO THE WORLD MEDICAL PROFESSION, AND YOU KNOW IT? LOL

    NOT AT ALL SIR
I AM REALLY QUITE COOL & NOT HALF AS SNOOTY AS YOU THINK

BUT I AM NOT ACCUSTOMED TO WALKING AROUND WITH FOLK WHO KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT MEDICINE OR BIBLE, AND DONT KNOW THAT THEY DONT KNOW, AS IS OFTEN THE CASE ON BU

I AM ACCUSTOMED TO WALKING AROUND WITH FOLK WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT AND WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT LOL

I AM ACCUSTOMED TO WALKING AROUND WITH FOLK WHO ASK REASONABLE QUESTIONS, AND ATTEMPT TO BE SOUND IN THEIR REASONING

RE Would you advise any vaccine recipients or parents of child vaccine recipients before receiving the vaccine to always ask the doctor or administrator of the vaccine to review the vaccine insert to see what possible reactions and side effects or harm might come from receiving the vaccine?

I HAVE NOT BEEN SO INVOLVED IN MY TIME AS A DR AS I AM NOT A PAEDIATRICIAN
IN MY TIME THE NURSES CONDUCTED THE ADMINISTRATION OF VACINES, IN THE PUBLIC CLINICS NOT THE DRS

vaccine recipients or parents of child vaccine recipients CAN ASK the doctor or administrator of the vaccine WHAT EVER THEY WISH

I THINK THE BEST THING FOR A DR IS TO TEACH BRIGHT MEDICAL STUDENTS LOL

  47. The writer made a great observation when he alluded to : ” Instead, they seem to be trained to protect public officials from the public.”

What did he expect? I wonder if he has ever had any information on the antecedents of some of these guards? For example the level of education required for the positions .Most of the persons (especially those in the private sphere) cannot do any better: they want to be able to put food on the table. Therefore, there is the beholden factor, particularly if politics were involved in the process of hiring.. When the fact that lots of Barbadians seem to have so abject a fear of authority: kowtowing becomes a factor of every day life. This subservience to authority is extrapolated into the manner in which members of the public are treated

“I began to be conscious about germs after our son was born. Since he used to crawl around the floor (before he could walk), I would insist that visitors to our home remove their shoes at the door.”

I must confess that I am very curious about what science your paranoia is based on.. Microbes are ubiquitous. They are found in air, water and soil. Some are transported by wind. When my children were young, I did not take off my shoes on entering the house( I have PH.D in microbiology). One of the reasons for an upsurge in allergenic illness, is posited to be the fact that cleanliness has been taken to an extreme. The young of today do not come into contact with microbes over a period of time and therefore their immune systems do not build up resistance to ordinary run-of-the mill microbes. They are not allowed to play in dirt because they might be come ill. My second son when he was small playing with toys and eating a sandwich, would sometimes rest the sandwich on the tiled floor, continued playing and would take an occasionally bite from the sandwich. I would laugh and tell him not to do so. One can only imagine how regularly ,he did so when I or his mother were not in the room. As the saying goes to each his own.

  49. Every Instance of Wrong Doing or incorrect behavior cannot be Listed for it will be too long but if you teach someone to have introspection and to come up with a few points on how to control their behavior that will be beneficial instead of itemizing the long List of Wrongs.

When GP11 Speaks about the Absurd Regulations that the Government uses to foster on the populace he was Speaking about the PRINCIPLE of Countless, Meaningless, Stupid, Irrelevant Regulations and their Intended Consequences of making a Society Compliant and Controlled, so people of Dissenting views are Easily Identified and Targeted. GP11 was Teaching Principles using Simple Ridiculous Humorous Examples. What he also showed is that the least intelligent can be used to Control the more intelligent! Freedom thinks that GP11 has a Gift of Explaining Complex Issues of Control and Compliance of the Population with these Simple Examples.

To Share another Example an Old Man with Grey Hair going to a Supermarket to buy a Bottle of Liquor must now show his ID, to prove he is over a certain age, but they are moving towards Legalizing Marijuana. If you Can’t See the Humorous Ridiculousness of Government Actions then something is Wrong with our Sense of Perception.
