Many have struggled in recent days to recall a period in history when weather systems developed to Category 4 & 5 before leaving the space of the Northern Caribbean. Clearly there is enough evidence to draw a reasonable conclusion that we have entered a period in which the region will have to contend with more intense weather systems. While it seems a simple conclusion for the BU household to make others argue that it is a manufactured idea.

The US Hurricane Center has been predicting more intense tropical storms for the last 30 years. HAS NOT HAPPENED.
This year, because of the coincidence of Irma amd Maria, the climate change enthusiasts are at it again.
Reminds me of the dire predictions of food scarcity (The Population Bomb) that never materialized
The same hoaxers and alarmists told us we would be out of petroleum by now, that pesticide residues would have caused epidemics of cancer, etc.

Chad, since you hold PhDs in both physics and chemistry, you are in the ideal position to tell us BU idiots what happens to the billions of tonnes of carbon discharged through human activity into the atmosphere over the last 100 years of industrialisation and which took Mother Nature hundreds of thousands of solar years to remove and store as fossil fuels from the same atmosphere in order for oxygen-dependant life forms like humans to evolve and survive as sentient species.
When you can proffer an answer we might just be able to come up with a solution not to save any planet that has been around nearly as long as the Sun and has herself survived impacts from asteroids and comets but to save the sorry asses of humans for another few hundred years into the future.

The increased production of carbon dioxide (by manufacturing industries) can be stored in the oceans, can be absorbed by plants (you’ve heard of photosynthesis, I hope), can lead to increases in cloud cover that BLOCKS solar energy, etc.
In other words, increases in carbon emissions do not have to increase the temperature of the atmosphere. The recent increases in global temperatures are probably temporary and may have nothing to do with carbon emissions. Climates are ALWAYS changing. That’s why most of the Sahara desert was once humid.
But building models that predict future catastrophes is a lucrative business for researchers.

Really dont pay much attention to weather except what is out side my house but it seems like simple math to me…sahara desert getting bigger ….the hurricanes start there,,,,,storms getting bigger. Tron although it crossed my mind that barbados could capitalize on others misfortune it is probably too soon, it is always a problem trying to figure how long to wait before it is acceptable to comment or benefit from a tragedy. When a quebec politician lucian bouchard lost his leg to flesh eating disease I joked even the bacteria could stomach only so much of that prick,,, right away it was acceptable. ….. most of those countries will more than likely donate the cement and the builders to rebuild Dominica…, not everyone is greedy abd parasitic.
Besides, the larger countries will send their military and artisans will volunteer their services fir free, rotate in and out of the islands for another year or 2, like Canadians are doing for St. Martin, not everyone is greedy and parasitic.

Those named backers should have influenced the 10’s of millions to vote against Trump.
Any sane person would come to that conclusion.
But they didn’t manage to influence the 10’s of millions.
If you look at the facts there has to have been a far stronger force propelling Trump to the White House than whatever forces stood in his way.

Resisting climate hysteria
The need to courageously resist hysteria is clear. Wasting resources on symbolically fighting ever present climate change is no substitute for prudence. Nor is the assumption that the earth’s climate reached a point of perfection in the middle of the twentieth century a sign of intelligence.

The fact is (no matter how much Hants who lives in Canada, adopted home) denies, those countries make sure that their firms benefit from ‘foreign aid’.
That is how it plays. So Caribbean firms will have a long wait if they think that they have a chance at getting such contracts.
