As part of the 50th Anniversary celebration the following letter will be mailed to Barbadian households. On the face of it there is nothing wrong with the Prime Minister communicating with his people about what it should mean to attain Golden Jubilee status (50 years of Independence). The question Prime Minister why not communicate with the same vigour about other matters of public interest. This is the reason many are disappointed and have labelled you as just another politician who has seen an opportunity to pursue political self interest. Almost 8 years in office and how many press conferences have you held? How many Q&A briefings after Cabinet meetings?

3- PM sends a letter for Barbadians to join in 50 years of celebration amidst all that island faces. What an insult to add to peoples already bleeding injuries. This is what is important to the Prime Minister. All other matters are not the concern of Barbadians. So Piss Poor.

Any idiot (well perhaps AC excepted) can write a letter, have it vetted, and, after multiple reviews, come up with a reasonable document that sends a decent message.
So far, this PM has not managed a single public presentation where he has not come across as a complete jackass…
Starting when, on winning elections, he pronounced on ‘vote buying…’; peaking with having a list of CLICO policy owners; and up to his idiotic speech on the very launch of the year-long celebrations, the man has confirmed his unsuitability for ANY leadership position.Obviously somebody advised him to stop making himself look foolish by trying to speak to the public ..and to have his staff send these letters instead…
After all, it is better to be silent and be considered a Froon, than to come in public and confirm it…. -
Where did the money coming from, and how much was it to send these letters? You haven’t the money to issue ‘2014 tax refunds, but you have money to waste on such foolishness. Let us hear from you on the issue Mr PM, where the 50th celebration trumps the welfare of the citizens……………

@ David
Is that the same signature as the one on the CAHILL document sent on the PM’s behalf about the agreement that ‘had not yet reached his desk’…?Clearly we can now see what is happening… Just like with Caswell’s signature, Public servants are sending documents as they please and attaching signatures gleaned from the Driver’s License scan to authenticate these documents.
Perhaps Froon was being honest about his ignorance about CAHILL after all…
Soon we shall likely see a document from Caswell declaring his union’s support for the 50th anniversary celebrations and endorsing the “excellent work being done” by Froon and his band… duly signed…. LOL ha ha ha
-
David;
Very good post from Bushtea above. Is it possible to repost the Cahill document with the FS signature here so everyone can compare it with the one on the PM’s letterhead above?
-
Very good insight especially knowing the sources of the documents linked to ND
-
@Are-we-there-yet
Is the link you and Bush Tea requested?
-
Same signature, unless Stuart is to ashamdd to say his signature was replicated or copied and pasted unto the Cahill scam, very doubtful though.
AC….you fraud…lol
The money Fruendel is taking to bullshit the electorate re an elaborate independence celebration…..taxpayer’s money…would be better spent fixing all those bad road in St. James and other areas on the island and fix all those street lights that are not working and can cause people to be attacked by criminals at night…that’s what Fruendel should be doing, no one wants to hear your nonsensical and unnecessary supplications to a god who has nothing to do with the crap going on in your pathetic system of governance.

David;
The signatures appear to be a match. Is this why there has been no apparent pushback to the BU documents?
-
I always read such political offerings with a cynical mind. So what jumps out at me…”We must continue to make the transition to real independence”
What I ask is “real independence”? Republic? -
From my vantage point the two signatures does not match . for one the lettering and formation although close shows breaks in attachment and completion.There are even more clues suggesting fraud
-
Got mine already. An extraordinary piece of nothing; as limp as a piece of cooked spaghetti.
-
ac – as a lawyer the PM therefore has a good case for a lawsuit for the fraud etc. Perhaps you should draw it to his attention for action. After all, he advised the Speaker to hire a lawyer.
-
What surprised me about these letters, to my household , is that they came from two different sources,which I am not familiar with.
(a) ” 50th Anniversary of Independence Secretariat”
(b) ” ?????Natural Heritage Department.” ( first word illegible)This government found it difficult to maintain employees of Beautify Barbados, but could form ,no doubt high paying jobs, for a song and dance.
General Election canvassing starts here. -
I also noted the “transition to real independence” and concluded that it was a veiled reference to becoming a republic. Does this mean that Errol Barrow failed to get true independence for the country?
On another note, perhaps the academics can explain whether the use of “signature moment” is more appropriate than “signal moment”. Just asking!
-
LOLL, are we serious….If in fact there is some alleged fraudulent cut & paste taking place wid “Public servants … sending documents as they please and attaching signatures gleaned from the Driver’s License scan to authenticate these documents” how in the name of commonsense will we be able to glean that the sig. is fraudulent if the damn thing was originally AUTHENTIC????
Does the PM or other people sign docs which they know are in the public domain differently than those more securely held….I think not!
Many smart people use various tactics (like that basic one) to try keep their signature ‘safe’ but how widespread is that and how effective are the tactics really if a scammer is truly skilled ?
So do we perceive that a PM whose sig, is all over the place, can really forestall that level of basic fraud!
Obviously there are other checks and balances (level 1, 2 and forensic as the experts say) to be able to determine if documents are valid but in this modern electronic era where ‘everyone can be a CIA document spook’ comparing on face value a possible stolen signature is NOT one of them.
Just saying.

Venezuela Is Running Out of Toilet Paper. -
Why are we discussing Barbados moving to a Republic. Has the PM informed the nation this is where he is headed? Has he solicited the support of the Opposition given that a constitutional amendment is required?
-
One has to be able to pick up code words. There is a difference between entering into discussion about and drawing attention something perceived.
-
Agree, then why is the traditional media not calling out the government on it?
-
@Are-we-there-yet
The Cahill documents are authentic. Don’t you see the government is unable to manage a coherent response to Cahill? The huff and puff from the minister is obviously to buy time to facilitate an exit strategy.
-
A scan signature can easily be detected use particular software digital scan signatures. Also differences can be determine under magnification that can easily distinquish between the scan and the wet signature. The Cunt that is the AC is an incredible palin cock. 3- PM has proven himself dishonourable and the cunt AC continues to holla like a palin cock.
-
Lol..AC, I am going to state the obvious because you refuse to. If the PMs signature on the Cahill scam is fraudulent, why did the PM, not call in the fraud squad, falsifying a PMs signature is a serious criminal act, just like buying votes and seeing it but doing nothing In the way of calling in the police.
-
@David
you know exactly why the ‘traditional media’ do as they do. They would like to keep their jobs. Waking sleeping dogs, especially when you know they are Dobermans, is never smart?
The best strategy is occasionally to do or say nothing. Hope it gets lost in the clutter. Or something very positive happens which makes past faux pas’s less important.@Col B

The traditional media fall short on many counts. That is why BU’s role is so important in raising awareness. Thank you.

Has the PM offically asked Cahill where the letter came from ???
Neither party confirmed or denied the authenticity of the letter ??
If Cahill validates it’as authentic the the PM should resign . -

Why don’t you call Claire to ask for an update on the project.

“Why are we discussing Barbados moving to a Republic? Has the PM informed the nation this is where he is headed? Has he solicited the support of the Opposition given that a constitutional amendment is required?”
@ David
Although this article is not about “Barbados moving to a Republic,” your above comments caused me to remember certain comments General Secretary of the DLP, George Pilgrim made relative to the 50th anniversary celebrations and republic status.
According to the Monday, March 23, 2015 edition of the “The Guardian,”:
“Freundel Stuart, the prime minister, tells colleagues that island nation will have its OWN HEAD OF STATE by 50TH ANNIVERSARY of INDEPENDENCE in 2016.”
“GEORGE PILGRIM, GENERAL SECRETARY of the DLP, CONFIRMED the DEVELOPMENT and said the CHANGE was EXPECTED to COINCIDE with the 50th anniversary of Barbados’s independence in 2016.”
Pilgrim further mentioned that a draft bill proposing the Queen’s removal will be voted on by Parliament.
“We don’t expect any opposition coming from the opposition party.” “This will move the country through to the next major step in the process of nationhood,” he added.
David, why would George Pilgrim reveal this information (as reported in the international press) if the DLP was not planning to move Barbados to republic status in November 2016?
It makes sense……. Barrow is REMEMBERED for moving Barbados to INDEPENDENCE in 1966. Therefore, 50 years later, Stuart wants to be REMEMBERED as the PM who moved Barbados to REPUBLIC STATUS.
It is interesting to note that the yearlong celebrations can be described as a “DLP thing” and not a national event, since the organizing committee is predominately DLP and does not include members from the civil society or the Opposition.

Good comment.
How are we (the people) expected to grow pride and nationhood if a PM is reluctant to communicate/speak to his people.

@ David
I just did and it went to voice mail -
Such poor forgery representing official signature of the PM signature on the Cahill document also excluded in the printed undersigned signature is the RT Hon
the official stationery and letter heading on the Cahill letter missing important insignia documentation representative of barbados goverance
Using the smallest of untrained eye it can be now concluded the Cahill letter was fraudulentDavid why did you join forces with con artist and scalliwags to bring down the govt
The govt is patience and indeed giving you and others enough rope to hang yourself !

@ArtaxGood comment.
How are we (the people) expected to grow pride and nationhood if a PM is reluctant to communicate/speak to his people.
…………………………………………………………………….
They say that communication is a two way street. We may also communicate to the Prime Minister via the avenue of a Frequent Visitor. We had the Adopt-a Kilometre project. Perhaps we should start an Adopt-a -Frequent Visitor programme , if we want the echo of our voices to be heard. -
I got my letters already. One for every member of my household, many, many sheets of paper, including one member who has lived thousands of miles away for the past 13 years. I don’t know about wunna, but I glanced at mine briefly, balled it up and chucked it in the garbage. And then I wondered how come the government has money to send silly 50th anniversary letters to every damn person who is on the electoral roll and yet has no money to buy toilet paper for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
If you doubt me try using the visitor’s toilet which is on the ground floor to the right of the main Martindale’s Road entrance.
We really need t get our priorities right.
Toilet paper before letter paper, since most of these letters are going straight into the garbage anyhow.

RETURN TO SENDER!
…………………………………………………Ha, ha. ha….friend of mine did just this.
I threw the three that have come to my home so far in the garbage…….did not bother to read them neither have I read the one posted. I just am not interested in anything the PM would have to say. If he cannot address the people of this country on any matter why should I read anything he condesended to write to us.
What annoyed me is that this government does not care how Barbadians feel , they do what the hell they like with the attitude …….like it or lump it, we have the power to do as we like, there is nothing you mortals can do about it.
The QEH does not have basic supplies like toilet paper, hand towels and disposable gloves but these morons have money to buy quality paper to write tripe. Some government offices do not have enough stationery to do their daily jobs.
Would an ad in a Sunday Advocate not be cheaper? they could have done this as for sure not too many people buy the Advocate!

@ac
Are you the official voice of the PM
If so please post a letter from the RT Hon man with all the bells and whistles on it so we can compare it to the other examples.
You are a sad sad sycophant. -
@ Prodigal Son,
Why throw the letters in the garbage when you could make paper air planes with them ?
You ent learn dat skill when you did a boy ? lol

So are the people of Barbados……..we are patient, we are waiting on you dems.

And don’t tell me that the people/visitors/staff/patients steal the toilet paper. These same people/visitors/staff/patients also visit the fast food restaurants and say what you like about the fried grease merchants there is ALWAYS soap and toilet paper in their establishments.
Maybe the QEH/ministry of Health should ask the fast food merchants how they manage to keep basic supplies in their toilets.
-
LOL, Hants!
I am still waiting on my 2014 tax refund.

It is a form letter. Everybody knows that a form letter has no value as a collector’s item, prime Minister’s signature or no.

@ Prodigal Son February 24, 2016 at 6:07 PM
Prodigal, Barbadians are only getting what they deserved. They elected this DLP administration will full knowledge of what they did and what they were capable of. Nothing but to lie to and deceive the innocent and naive people.
You were one of a very few who saw through the whole Fumble & Co scam but where did it get you for outing the liars and crooks other than being branded a prophet of doom and gloom?
How could Bajans reelect a government headed by a man who made it clearly known he is an intimate friend and admirer of Leroy Greenverbs Parris?
It’s a pity the innocent fools have to pay for the wicked guilty.
But I am aware you are a person who holds strong to the view as expressed in your book of guidance that whatever a man sows so shall he reap. In other words karma is a bitch that bites the wicked in their tail.Fumble the liar has achieved his lifelong ambition of being someone of ignoble importance. It’s time for his exit. Liars and deceivers end up only one place. In a reincarnated web of spinning top in hell:
“All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.” -

……………Pilgrim further mentioned that a draft bill proposing the Queen’s removal will be voted on by Parliament.
“We don’t expect any opposition coming from the opposition party.” “This will move the country through to the next major step in the process of nationhood,” he added”……….
Artax,
I was told that the BLP are not about helping Freundel Stuart to create any legacy, much as the party had agree to take the country to republican status. The DLP led by David Thompson gave the BLP such a hard time that OSA backed down……and the dems think that the BLP is going to help them now? Maybe OSA and Agard can help them out.
The PM has been a piss poor PM and he is now looking to change the fact that he is the worst PM this country has ever had……………..and that is a fact!

“If so please post a letter from the RT Hon man with all the bells and whistles on it so we can compare it to the other examples.”And this is to a man who doesn’t know his elbow from his arse where “Republicanism” is concerned.
Does the jackass of a colonial ape understand he will no longer be able to assign himself the title of “RT Hon” after his dabble with the republic project called Barbados?How would Lord Muttley be preferred to be addressed? As the Lord Most High Pontificate of Marchfield and its colony of Barbados including Ilaro Court and Bay Street?
Come on King Stuart, you just can’t have your bread in a fit of thirst and ask others to eat cake because of hunger.
-
It is the height of (h)ignorance if the government has not engaged the Opposition on the matter of moving to a Republic IF true..
