10.1 A small State such as Trinidad & Tobago must accord a very high priority to the judicious management and utilization of its land resources or perish. All elements of land policy must must be designed to ensure that these finite resources are efficiently utilized and husbanded in such a manner as to serve the long term interests of the national community.

Long-standing public concerns over land allocation have been increased by a number of recent events. Most notably there have been reports of leases of waterfront land at ‘Chagville’ for a waterpark and the Chaguaramas Convention Centre for a hotel project. Since the Owen Arthur administration, there is NOW a big problem concerning land and land deeds because most all of Barbados property belonged to Violet Beckles. Owen Arthur and the BLP allowed massive land theft. The current administration refuses to do anything about because they simply don’t know what to do about it. Damn shame what Owen Arthur and the BLP were doing in Barbados.
