Victims of Zionism Remembered

Submitted by CARIBBEAN AGAINST APARTHEID IN PALESTINE [CAAP]

On Thursday the 17th of May 2018 at 4p.m. “Caribbean Against Apartheid in Palestine” in conjunction with the Cuban Embassy will be having a flower laying ceremony at the Cuban Monument in Paynes Bay, to remember the victims of Zionism over the past seventy years and indeed beyond.

For over seventy years Palestinians have been daily murdered by the forces of Zionism while courageously standing up for their rights to be free from racism, colonialism, occupation, and oppression. All people committed to human rights need to stand with them. We must show solidarity with them, just as we did against apartheid in South Africa. As recently as on the 14th May 2018 sixty Palestinians were murdered by the Zionists. They include thirteen children shot by Israeli forces and a baby who died overcome by inhaling Israeli teargas, and some two thousand persons were injured by live Israeli ammunition.

Caribbean Against Apartheid in Palestine is asking the public to bring flowers to lay on the monument to remember the victims of Zionism. The monument commemorates the terrorist bombing of a Cuban civilian airline in Barbadian air space. Lalu Hanuman, Attorney-at-law and Secretary of Caribbean Against Apartheid in Palestine, said “It is apt that this monument is the venue, as Zionism is a supremacist terrorist ideology”.
