I am wondering if only canvassing and acting on behalf of candidates by public servants are being frowned on.

Officers and employees are speaking on political platforms almost every night. Just watch the meetings online. They have been officers of political parties too. The DLP candidate in St. Michael South East is a shameless example. He was the DLP Assistant General Secretary for at least three years before he resigned as the president of the BUT to run. But he would pick and choose when to talk about General Orders and when to break them.

3.18.1 says public servants can’t run in elections but the circular didn’t touch on that. Pedro Shepherd and Alwyn Babb were in the news talking about taking leave to run. So are Shepherd and Babb still teachers? 

I am Paula Sealy and I am asking for myself. Before government workers had to resign.

    Tell me why all the constant talk about Covid individuals being unable to vote. That is pure crap. Are those individuals wearing RED or YELLOW shirts? Neither Mia nor Verla can dictate if these Covid patients would be voting Bee or Dee or APP or SOLUTIONS. So tell me why all this long talk about. Pure Rubish.

    This is not the issue. Should the EBC have been given more time in the prevailing conditions to support covid patients.

    This Covid 19 don’t have a time frame. No one can determine if it will be appropriate to give the EBC more time to plan next week or even the next 18 months. It is what it is…..people must be protected.

    No, we must exhaust effort to protect the vote. We are operating in a pandemic.

    Those who believes the Constitution is not the land of the land would therefore find all kinds of excuses to protect Mottley insane decision to trample on the citizens right to vote
    Nothing more nothing less
    It is only when that day comes and they rights are trampled on would they understand suppression
    The EBC stated and I agree that they have no.power over the controlling of calling the election
    Also the short period of time cannot be overlooked for the EBC to putting adequate voting procedures in place for the voters affected by Covid
    The long and short would be one of the PM calling the election within a period for the EbC to put all procedures in.place for citizens to exercise their voting rights
