It was during this segment with Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that Dr. Fauci admitted that he didn’t have a clue what to do about the thousands of foreign migrants that are now entering the United States with COVID-19 symptoms.
This is because Cavuto confronted Fauci during his interview that at least 18 percent of the migrant families coming to the United States are testing positive for the virus.
“We have about 18 percent of the migrant families here, 20 percent of the unaccompanied minors, testing positive for covid,” Cavuto noted. “If you use the figure [of] 20,000, and that’s a loose figure … who have been apprehended, that could be up to 4,000 individuals who have covid. What do we do about that?”
Instead of admitting that he is totally bewildered, Fauci did nothing more than dance around the question and tell Cavuto that he doesn’t have an “easy answer” to that question.
“You know, Neil, I — I don’t have an easy answer for that,” Fauci replied. “I mean, obviously, Title 42 is still operable at the border trying to keep people who should not come into the country. There is testing that is done. I’m certain it’s not as extensive as we would like to see, but I have to admit, Neil, I don’t have an easy answer. That — that’s a very difficult problem.”
Cavuto asked, “I’m just wondering, though, if those numbers are indeed the case, it would dwarf whatever good we’re trying to do at airports, right? Just looking at the sheer numbers.”
Bizarrely, Fauci went on to say that Omicron was going to spread no matter what type of precautions that everyone takes.
“You know what I think is going to happen that is possibly going to make this a moot point?” he said. “I think, given what we know about the transmissibility and likely transmissibility of Omicron … once it gets in there, it will likely, under the radar, be spreading no matter what you do to keep people out or not.”
His reaction doesn’t bode well for those who advocate for masks and these seemingly endless rounds of vaccines. As a matter of fact, it would seem to make the whole charade seem to be useless.

Do we have the expertise or the data to tease out the answers?

I have seen links to articles posted on BU and, shortly afterwards, there is evidence that these articles were in error. Some bloggers would still repeat the erroneous conclusion after this evidence was introduced. This tells me that they are not interested in the evidence or in the debate.

Here goes, based essentially on epidemiology principles I learnt over 40 years ago. All viruses must have LIVING vectors or hosts to survive. They don’t last long outside of living hosts. Covid-19 virus propagules (not living ones) were found in wastewater inflows in Canada since early last year and commercial techniques were developed to assess viral loads in the communities that fed the treatment plants based on that finding. No living viruses were found in the OUTFLOWS in those early tests or later ones. This was primarily due to the use of potent Chlorine based and other chemicals in the treatment plants. The water coming from treatment plants have been extensively tested for viable Covid-19 virus particles with no reports seen on the internet that infective viruses survived the treatments. WHO has categorically stated that the results of exhaustive testing of outflows from Industry compliant treatment plants from all over the world contains no viable Covid-19. I think Dub555 has posted WHO guidance documents here on BU which deal with the fake news that says otherwise. Barbados’ treatment plants conduct regular, standard industry regulated treatments and tests to ensure that our potable water meets the required standards.

That’s a quite simple logical progression.
Clorox and other such agents are shown to kill the virus therefore there can be no plausible correlation that it can resist interactions with these agents.
Or … the high severity/resistance to chemicals (virulence) does not appear to be correlated with resistance to chemicals but to high transmissibility..

Rich Welsh| Dr. Peter McCullough, an internist, epidemiologist, and top cardiologist is a leader in the medical response to the COVID-19 pandemic, said during a recent interview that myocarditis in young people after getting vaccinated is far more dangerous than the COVID version of the same heart disease.
Cases of myocarditis, which is an inflammation of the heart muscle, have shot up dramatically among previously healthy people in countries with high vaccination rates. Health officials have continued to maintain that vaccine-induced myocarditis is rare, and worth the risk because COVID-induced myocarditis is much more prevalent.
During an interview with Dr. Al Johnson of the Real News Communications Network, Dr. McCullough suggested an alternative viewpoint.
He explained that the myocarditis that develops with a natural infection is a very different thing from the myocarditis that occurs in people who get it from being vaccinated.
According to McCullough, for COVID-19 cases of myocarditis, it happens mostly with people in the intensive care unit who have severe COVID and who have an elevation of troponin levels, which is a protein found in skeletal and cardiac muscle. Cardiac-specific troponins are used to diagnose prognostic indicators in the administration of myocardial infection and acute coronary syndrome.
The doctor asserted that “the myocarditis in COVID-19 is mild, it’s inconsequential, and it’s largely a component of elevation [of troponin].”
On the flip side, he said, “there are pre-clinical studies suggesting the lipid nanoparticles [from the vaccines] actually go right into the heart.”
“The heart expresses the spike protein, the body attacks the heart. There are dramatic EKG changes,” he said.
“I don’t want anybody to think that the myocarditis of a natural infection is anything like what we’re seeing with the vaccines,” McCullough stressed.
“The [troponin] blood test for heart injury with the vaccine myocarditis, is 10 to 100 times higher than the troponin we see with a natural infection,” he continued. “It’s a totally different syndrome.”
Dr. McCullough noted that the risk of heart disease for children who get the vaccine far outweighs the benefits. This goes completely counter to what the government is telling us.
“When kids get myocarditis after the vaccine, 90 percent have to be hospitalized, they have dramatic EKG changes, chest pain, heart failure, they need an echocardiogram,” he said, adding “they need medication to prevent heart failure.”
“Vaccine-induced myocarditis is a big deal, and in children, it’s way more serious, and more prominent than a post-COVID myocarditis,” he concluded.
Dr. McCullough has 46 peer-reviewed publications on COVID-19 infection and in media appearances, he has commented extensively on the medical response to the COVID-19 crisis.
McCullough is now focusing on educating parents and teachers about the dangers of giving the vaccine to children. For some reason, the Biden administration wants to force children to get the jab. It’s already been known that children don’t die from COVID, and even in light of this information of the risks for kids to get myocarditis, the administration will continue to push.
“The Unity Project” was started last month by Doctors McCullough, Robert Malone, the pioneer of mRNA technology who has since come out and said that it’s not working correctly, and Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, to “stop COVID vaccine mandates in healthy children ages K-12.”

A BARBADIAN SCIENTIST, who is an infectious disease specialist in the United States, is urging caution and patience as Barbados confronts the potential dangers of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19.
Dr Wayne Greaves, a pharmaceutical scientist with decades of research experience in dealing with deadly diseases in and out of the US and different regions of the world, told the DAILY NATION that those in the front-line battle against the pandemic should not push the panic button when it came to the new variant.
“The real key right now is to be cautious and patient before jumping to conclusions about what this new variant means. People are all over the place as if they really know about the disease. We need to exercise some humility because we were burnt by other variants which emerged but didn’t cause the havoc they had threatened. Just because there are many mutations (of the coronavirus) and we were previously affected by them, it doesn’t mean that (Omicron) was going to be worst in causing disease,” he said.
“If this particular variant turns out to be more infectious, more so than the Delta variant, for instance, but it never causes severe disease, it could be doing us a favour because we would be able, in a way, to end the current pandemic of severe disease, hospitalisation and deaths. It could have a much milder form of a coronavirus infection and perhaps some immunity if it is short-lasting.”
In the end, it could “be just a blip or a problem”, added the scientist. “Currently, based on the limited data we now have, it does not appear that this variant would cause severe disease but it might be more infectious with milder illnesses. We just don’t know, hence the need for patience and caution. These are early days yet.”
In the meantime, he advised, Barbados should continue to do what it has been doing – observing all the precautions and protocols.
“We don’t know whether or not the vaccines are fully protective and even if they are not, that would still be a reasonable approach. If the vaccines are less effective, there will still be some protection,” Greaves said. “Barbados should still encourage vaccination. I would also encourage the traditional public health protective measures that are in place.
“If this turns out to be a problem, there would also be another approach on the horizon, using anti-viral pills which are likely to be approved (by US authorities) in a few weeks or months, maybe even sooner. They would likely work against any of the variants because they are not specific in terms of the anti-body response.”
Trained physician
Greaves, who grew up in St Lucy and was trained as a physician and researcher in Canada and the US before teaching medicine at Howard University in Washington and later joining a sprawling pharmaceutical firm, said there an effort was on to have some of the oral pills available to developing countries.
“We don’t know how long that would take but at least there is no reason to see doom and gloom because the latest variant has emerged,” he said.
He deemed Barbados’ response to the pandemic as “fair”, down from “very good at the beginning of the epidemic”. He blamed the grading reduction on the large number of antivaxxers who were probably exposing relatives, neighbours and friends to the ravages of a highly infective and deadly disease, which has pushed up the death toll in Barbados from 42 in August to 252 as of Saturday.
“I don’t know if there is any one person’s fault but a collective response of individuals. If more people were willing to become vaccinated, it would make a significant difference in the COVID-19 picture,” he said.
“We have seen divisions in the country about vaccinations and as a result, a significant number of people have not been vaccinated. As long as that division persists, there is always going to be room for the virus to be propagated within the society causing continuing cases and deaths.”
Greaves said so far it was not clear whether the new variant was more transmissible than the Delta but added: “If this variant is more contagious in its reaches in Barbados, there will be even more cases of infections and their consequences.”Source: Nation

David; Just looked at the video of Dec 13th 4:56 am on Omicron developments in Norway. An excellent presentation.
You might recall that I presented a speculative scenario a couple of weeks ago about the possibility that Omicron might actually turn out to be a global blessing in disguise and might accelerate the end of the Covid pandemic. That speculation was very similar to what the Norway Doctor Expert is now presenting, as the data from South Africa matures. Of course Omicron may develop differently to how the presenter suggests, but hope springs eternal. I also note, from Tony Best’s article above, that our expert in the US, Dr. Greaves, is also now commenting along the same lines about Omicron’s possible future.
The main value of speculating or theorizing is that it allows testable predictions to be made. It is a major part of the Scientific method. Outcomes may either validate or negate the speculations, hypotheses or postulates and the predictions therefrom can go either way. More data still needs to be gathered on Omicron before we know if Omicron will have a starring role in the eventual control of Covid-19 but early results from South Africa where Omicron has taken over from the Delta variant, suggests that it might be on track to be an important factor in the eventual status of Covid-19.
