David; attached are 2 Charts on the daily incidence of Covid-19 in Barbados from 1st August to 8th October. They try to provide a picture of how the 3rd wave of the pandemic has been progressing here. They are essentially based on the raw data. The data suggests, to me, that we are near the eye-wall of this category 5 hurricane and can go either way into an eventual stable calm or an extended chaotic nightmare of expanding cases. The majority of the population needs to concentrate on doing what we individually all know is our part to get out this, battered but not broken.

    The vaccine doesn’t miraculously stop you from being anxious and full of fear.

    It doesn’t stop you from being a diabetic or obese.

    It doesn’t cure lung ailments

    If you had comorbidities before you took the vaccine, you will have them after.

    I would think anyone with comorbidities would not want to catch COVID, vaccinated or not.

    467 vaccinated people died in Portugal.

    So, how many deaths in Portugal after vaccinations had reached say 10%?

    Currently the rate is at 84%.

    It reached 10% in early May.

    May 1st 2021, the cumulative deaths in Portugal were 16,976.

    On October 11th 2021, the cumulative total was 18,048.

    So 1,072 deaths over the period of which 467 were vaccinated.

    So roughly 45/55 split for deaths in Portugal.

    I’d guess it is the same thing all over the world.

    I flat do not believe 1/99 being bandied about for the simple reason that the vaccinated group will have in most of the comorbidities as these will have been specifically targeted.

    Once again, the vaccination does not miraculously change/cure your comorbidities.

    Whatever you had before you will have after.

    Here is a different spin.
    Prior to mass vaccination people were dropping like flies -16,976.

    After mass vaccination there were only 1,072 deaths.

    The vaccine is highly protective with only the seriously ill vaccinated or unvaccinated dying.

    Look at the graph for cumulative deaths for Portugal!!

    You will find the deaths took place over a very narrow range of time, even before the advent of the Delta Variant!!

    So what you think was different in Portugal in that narrow period of time?

    One guess!!

    If you take the beginning part of the graph and the ending part of the graph you will see there is not much different.

    Similar numbers of deaths.

    It’s the piece between the 2 vertical blue lines that need explaining.

    Look at the cases.

    Three environmental events triggered the rises.

    But at the very beginning, there is a fourth surge although far smaller.

    I urge our government to focus on vaccinations and test less. This will reduce the official number of infected people and attract tourists back to our island.

    We should only test enough to keep the number of new infections per day to a maximum of 10 people. Everything else is a national secret.

    We need to seriously discuss whether the supposedly honorable Barrow is actually a national hero or not perhaps quite the opposite.

    The fact is that the rate of fully vaccinated people in Bermuda today is 67.5%. In our country it is far below that, so the bodies are piling up on Broad Street. We all must now pay the terrible, deadly price for Barrow’s hubris and megalomania. What is the difference? It is very simple: Bermuda, of course, is a rich British overseas territory. As Barbados until 1966 when Barrow seized power.

    What is clear is that Independence Day is not a holiday, but a national day of mourning. How many more people have to die to satisfy the DLP’s plan for independence of an island that is not even able to print its own banknotes? For the DLP, human lives are obviously worth less than postcolonial ideology at the expense of the black masses.

    Thank you Barrow for cutting us off the AZ vaccine!

    I was more thinking along the lines that all the experts follow to show a shower/face wash/teeth clean can also meet the experts requirements of how it is absorbed.

    That way I don’t have to step outside of my expertise.

    Two pieces of empirical evidence lending credence to skin absorption.

    Large COVID surges after floods and India’s numbers went ballistic during Kumbh Mela where millions of pilgrims bathed in the Ganges.

    Would be interesting to know how many of our cases took a sea bath!!

    Once the fact that the virus is waterborne is acceptable all of a sudden many bits of empirical evidence become explicable.

    We have no option but to eradicate it because if it is in the sea, tourism dead as a door nail!!

    The BHTA has its priorities completely screwed up!!

    It is pointless opening up tourism with the virus in the sea.

    Should’nt that be “If the unproven assertions that the virus is waterborne is proven other aspects of the virus’ epidemiology must be explained such as why has Barbados and many other caribbean countries not seen daily caseloads in thousands of cases and hundreds of deaths per day even by the alpha variant?”

    You are not dealing with facts in your waterborne hypothesis.

    If whenever there are floods in countries around the world (fact) surges in COVID follow (fact) then it must be a fact that the virus is waterborne!!

    Floods are usually comprised of water.

    If you take a match to gasoline in an open container the gasoline will not burn, but the vapour will explode.

    Fact, gasoline can be airborne (fact) although it is a liquid (fact)!!

    Try it and you will see, then you will accept the fact that gasoline can be airborne and won’t do it again.

    Looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck … It’s a duck.

    Spanish flu also operated in waves until it just disappeared.

    Experts tell us the deadly second wave was due to a mutation.

    To my way of thinking it too could have been waterborne and the second wave occurred when it reached the water supply.

    Hotter drier weather could have made it disappear as well.

    One simple fact, no vaccine was available at the time!!

    So its disappearance cannot have been caused by any man made vaccine.

    … and that is an irrefutable fact!!

    I strongly advise our beloved government to increase the death rate from 3 to 10 per day in order to find enough volunteer sheep for vaccination. With a death rate of only 3, it will take years to achieve herd immunity.

    The day of the proclamation of the republic would be a fitting occasion to immunise larger parts of the population at the national stadium. Those who really wanted to be vaccinated had the opportunity to do so. The rest will have to see if their immune systems work.

    There was a time when I had complete confidence in how the GoB was managing Covid-19. But now, somehow, somewhere, something went wrong.

    Someone needs to tell that clown, now is time to show management skills. We are aware of the scam skills and we also know photo-ops in the US will not cut it.

    Two real-world studies published Wednesday confirm that the immune protection offered by two doses of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine drops off after two months or so, although protection against severe disease, hospitalization and death remains strong.The studies, from Israel and from Qatar and published in the New England Journal of Medicine, support arguments that even fully vaccinated people need to maintain precautions against infection.

    One study from Israel covered 4,800 health care workers and showed antibody levels wane rapidly after two doses of vaccine “especially among men, among persons 65 years of age or older, and among persons with immunosuppression.”
    And, as it turns out, getting COVID produces more powerful antibodies than these vaccines any way.

    The study also indicated that immunity for people who get vaccinated after natural Covid-19 infection lasts longer. It’s especially strong for people who recovered from infection and then got vaccinated, also. “Overall, the accumulating evidence from our study and others shows that long-term humoral response and vaccine effectiveness in previously infected persons were superior to that in recipients of two doses of vaccine,” they wrote.

    All that went wrong, and it went wrong all over the world is that the experts missed the fact that besides being airborne it is also waterborne.

    Each one feeds on the other and they are all fascinated by the minutiae of the virus and wrapped up in their imaginations of something they can’t see.

    They miss the big picture laid out before them.

    China did not and it is eradicated there.

    We’ll wait and see if the flooding there precedes any surges as they have done over and over again all over the world.

    Possibly not good for COVID as wastewater impoundments may overflow into rivers.

    Most will be indoors so not a good prognosis for cases.

    We’ll wait and see.
