I emailed Minister Abrahams the following, I am hoping that he receives many hundreds:

Minister Wilfred Abrahams,

You have failed to protect the vulnerable girls at GIS by removing all the staff who are implicated in the systematic torture of children by routinely incarcerating them naked in a bare concrete cell for days and weeks on end.

This treatment was contrary to the United Nations Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. It was also in breach of Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

I understand that you have ordered that such torture not be repeated, but you have left the torturers in charge of the institution and you have left vulnerable girls in their charge. Furthermore, you have publicly stated that you have confidence in the staff who inflicted these inhuman and degrading assaults on vulnerable children.

Your catastrophic error of judgement has made me deeply ashamed of my Government.

You have left me no choice but to insist on your immediate resignation from your position as Minister of Home Affairs, Information and Public Affairs.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Thompson

Like what? Like questioning the bona fides of a leader of a small island developing state (SIDS) claiming to represent the economic and environmental vulnerabilities of SIDS?

Aren’t these same SIDS severely threatened by the pending ravages of climate change which science is proving to be due to the burning of fossil fuels?

How then can a spokesperson for those SIDS turn around and support any offshore drilling programme for hydrocarbons as an economic game-changer when that person’s native land is primarily dependent of an industry which is in diametric contrast to a sea-polluting industrial activity?

Why not forget about drilling for oil and focus totally on alternative energy sources to achieve any carbon-neutral fossil fuel-free objectives in order to make your native land the green capital of the region?

  4. 555……why are you worrying about me for…am good, it’s those who are helpless and who the government WOULD LIE TO…should be your concern, do you see me being a victim to a careless goverment without blowback and ramifications….

you can help by sharing what i posted with all the Black Caribbean people you know across the diaspora, that’s the first think i did…they can form their own opinions and make their own decisions from there…..they only have to reach out for help…

  5. I stopped listening to lying, two faced, two mouth politicians years and years ago, i can’t remember ever having listened to them. never like them…..someone was giving some update on the Jamaica PM this morning and am like, i just can’t take even hearing about them anymore…

  6. “Mrs. Magloire Traoré declared: “The mission of this Caucus of lawyers is to draw from the whole of our law in order to bring an effective response to the injured interests of Africans on the continent and Afro-descendants in the world, for each of the above-mentioned poles. We will thus go beyond mere indignation in the face of discrimination and propose concrete actions to remedy it.”

  7. so all the discrimination, racism etc the majority were subjected to in Barbados, helped to bring the country to its knees…nice going lowlife racists and the dumb governments who enable them…

“From this point of view, discrimination has a cost that must be evaluated. Several studies show that this cost is enormous, and has a very substantial impact on the GDP of nations. This is why in the weeks and months to come, the African Diaspora State will carry out several operations to fight against discrimination at the international level, by integrating the cost factor.”

    @TRon
your neutrality and balance, like my own, have never been in question. I was merely expanding on a concept, which I fairly attributed to you. Parliamentarians should serve for free. OR, an average of their prior five years earnings, as represented by their tax returns. This along with the cuts to the civil service, and an abolishment of pensions until age 70, would bring the lop sided economics into balance.

  9. The Westminster system is based on a presumption that those who offer themselves to public service are motivated by the honour to serve the public first and foremost.

  10. “This along with the cuts to the civil service, and an abolishment of pensions until age 70, would bring the lop sided economics into balance.”

right now DBLP governments owe the Black population at least 54 years of reparations…they should be thinking about that…don’t worry ya got company UK owes about 72..lol

are you in some rhetorical type fashion suggesting this is NOT the case?
Any monetary stipend, even expense allowances, are actually undervalued for the service offered. Such persons are subject to injurious abuse daily, from the likes of BU and other sources, of immeasurable value. They know while others are very polite face to face, the same or similar persons are jooking knives in them elsewhere. All of this has a toll.

  12. @NO

It is the sacrifice a person offering themselves to public service should be prepared to pay.

  13. NorthernObserver Avatar

    @David
sacrifice: an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy.
So they are giving up privacy and abuse avoidance, for money and longer term security (pension). Fair?

  14. @Northern Observer

This is the Westminster system we try to manage about here. A quality of those offering themselves to public service is selflessness. No we are not discussing an alternate universe.

  15. The blogmaster read with interest the statement from thr BBA which expressed their righteous indignation at the GIS exposé. Please give us a break.

Also it may have been missed by many but sitting minister of Culture John King was employed at one of the juvenile institutions. Enough said. Collective responsibility indeed.

Thank you for confirming my neutrality! No one is more impartial than I am on BU.

  17. @WARU The only way is reclaiming your African identity and you don’t need to follow any of these lost Americans or because people in fancy suits said so. Let me tell you something IF the African Finance minster is of one of the ethnic groups in an African country , they will see through her foolishness (if he/she is spiritual). Africans just know and cannot be easily fooled or lead astray. I think they know the crimes they are doing to our people too , you don’t need word of mouth to know about Diaspora injustice or some reactionary group. A for effort slow clap now it is beyond the physical at this point in time.
You also don’t need to depend on x y group.

If a person feels the pull to go to Africa , things will work out in their favor to go no matter what. (Even if it comes to meeting genuine peopke that also align on the same path). The regular person (stuck in this stagnant society) would be still plagued with the programming of living on a plantation looking to go to Africa for mundane things or escapism with q chip on their shoulder. The continent is a different energy altogether and a person should become extremly prepared before going. Break the program , learn about Africa from African channels (not propaganda media) , go deeper into tracing ancestry , look at a map of Africa , see which country calls to you and do research. The best way to learn about Africa is talk to an African from the continent or relocated to the West , they will be hapoy to share what they know , you have to be prepared to get your preconceived notifications shattered because this is the real truth about Africa not coming from the west of brainwashed people.
That is a start because anything is possible in this life so no need to knock it. In life it is a journey , some bumps in the road however it will work out in the end.

All of this is serious spiritual warfare , all because of many things however , it boils down to the majority of the people being Igbo descent. This ethnic group has a strong spiritual foundation and tried so hard to surprise it and tell the lie that majority of us are Akan descent when I have a feeling is not true because Barbadians don’t have that “feeling” Jamacians have it though , however that saying is another cover up of our heritage. I spoke to an Igbo man from Nigeria and he was telling me that most of his ethnic group were taken to Barbados and most of the cultural similarities are striking even the music , it feels Igbo. The way the manerisms of Barbadians are and some of the words in dialect are deprived from the Igbo language. I was shocked when he told me this and it explained why these people are doing so much atrocity to our people to suppress that because if majority of us knew who we are…this system will fall Immediately. They know this and continue to try to commit the same script to repress us however all of it will be coming to an end. Also thats why they spread propaganda news and misinformation about Nigeria , these sell out bloodlines , european minded people know exactly what they are doing when they do these things.
Key is to really find who you are if the person feels called towards it, you will know where you actually come from, it will be revealed to you.
All I can say is prepare. Things are only going to get hot from here.

  18. @Tron must have missed that NO wrote he has a sugar bush and has tapped the trees to get the sap when it starts to flow. I suspect that the flow was so thick that he doesn’t even have to boil the sap and presto instant Maple sap or Tron Lite

  19. Cosmo…i don’t know why 2 black governments, ALL OF THEM DESCENDED FROM THE ENSLAVED…would feel it made perfect sense to KEEP 17th and 18th century SLAVE LAWS on statute books and diligently used them against the African population for the last 54 years post independence….

yes…we have to ASSERT OUR AFRICAN IDENTITY…and walk away from vicious black leaders…

    https://www.nationnews.com/2021/03/23/bar-association-deeply-concerned-report-regarding-treatment-student/

check this out, a bar association that has been around since the 1940s, nearly 1200 lawyers rotating in and out for decades, all know about those slave laws and won’t lift a finger to pressure those two dangerous governments to remove them to PROTECT THE BLACK POPULATION…because they all benefited from leaving them there…now they’re “deeply concerned:” ONLY BECAUSE IT’S BEEN EXPOSED TO THE WORLD…..i don’t even know what to call those frauds….they felt for decades that they were the only lawyers in the world am sure they realize now that is not the case., using Slave laws to destroy Black lives has returned to haunt them all.

“you have to be prepared to get your preconceived notifications shattered because this is the real truth about Africa not coming from the west of brainwashed people.”

they have all the tools necessary to do their research, they have multiple people who work overtime to put the info about Africa out there, they have no excuse, our foreparents did not stand a chance in that regard.

“because Barbadians don’t have that “feeling” Jamacians have it though , however that saying is another cover up of our heritage. ”

any spirituality to was beaten out of Africans in Barbados and in the modern era the black faces of parliament MADE SURE IT DIDN’T SURVIVE…the put laws and much effort in place to chase away the African spirituality in the people and don’t think they will pay a price.

“these sell out bloodlines , european minded people know exactly what they are doing when they do these things.”

i keep telling them they are a sellout bloodline, specifically bred to sellout African peopole and that’s exactly what they have done and still doing, the 11 plus Slave who rush to the front to lead..

  20. What Abrams did was a deadly coverup, putting every child at risk, keeping the SAME STAFF THAT TORTURED THE CHILD….punishing the board for doing their job of bringing the torture to his attention but keeping the torturers…

.then the fool Chase, just assigned to the board the day before, decides she’s is going to attack a 14 year old minor child already victimized by the system…on FB a platform with over 2 billion users, let’s see if they still keep her on the board, she is already a CLEAR DANGER to these children….in her cover up mode..and keeping her will tell us exactly what they plan for the vulnerable who come into their care.

Parents must now avoid GIS for their children at all cost, that will shut the place down, if no children are committed there, since Abrams believes he can keep it open no matter what….and it’s likely just for whatever funding they get from Europe/UK or US, these frauds have no problem destroying Black lives just to collect money..

still waiting for them to remove the 1890s Slave law that ruin Black children.

“Wrong target, charges Ross – by Anesta Henry March 23, 2021
Children’s advocate Shelly Ross says action should be taken against those at the helm of the Government Industrial School (GIS) following the most recent scandal that saw a 14-year-old being kept in a cell with little or no clothing.

And, she is also upset that the board at GIS has been changed and not some staff who have been presiding over the situation, especially recently highlighted at the Barrows, St Lucy facility.

“The principal should have been the first one gone because he presided over all of that,” Ross told Barbados TODAY.

In fact, Ross has given Minister of Home Affairs Wilfred Abrahams a failing grade for the way he has so far handled the breaking development at the GIS.

Ross has described the announcement of a new board to oversee the running of the GIS as a bad call by Minister Abrahams and one she charged, which could not have been made with the best interest of children in mind.

“I personally think it is a joke. The minister had enough evidence over the years from emails, from letters, from posts in the press,” she said. “The board members are not the abusers,” she added.

The advocate said in her opinion, the steps the minister should have taken are not as complicated as many are making it out to be. She suggested that the first thing that should have been done was for officials to speak to the current wards of GIS to hear their concerns and let them call the names of abusers.

“I really didn’t think that they were going to work in the interest of the children. They had enough time. They had enough ammunition and they had the girls there that were being affected that they could speak to,” she said.

Ross said she was so not pleased that there was a general feeling within society that the wards at GIS are “criminals” and they are being treated that way.

The advocate sounded a reminder that the children at the institution have come from different socio-economic backgrounds with a variety of issues and as a result are crying out for help and compassion and a chance to have a hopeful life.

“All I can do is to appeal to Barbadians to think seriously about child abuse and to get information on what constitutes child abuse and to try within themselves not to abuse children. I don’t think people understand what child abuse is really all about and I think many of us are still doing it because of what happened to us or somebody still lives with us and we have accepted it for so long. People go about every day abusing children and I really wish each of us would take time and think about it because today it’s my child, tomorrow it is yours,” she added. (AH)

  21. What i want these “concerned” lawyers in the bar association to do is CONFESS how many people they ROBBED…under the protection of those Slave laws, how many elderly lost hundreds and hundreds of estates, properties, bank accounts….and title deeds..

from those who broke their backs working on the Panama Canal, to the ladies and men who worked in Europe and North America through adverse social and weather conditions for decades, to save their money to buy properties to leave for beneficiaries WHOM THE CROOKS IN THE BAR….also robbed….they should also mention that they are infested with more thieves then honest lawyers…..that is very concerning to their victims…

they should also confess to why PERSONAL INJURY cases never end and the injured NEVER GET their compensation, particularly the elderly, whom they wait for them to die…….why can’t an child injured at a school receive their compensation, why is it being held at the supreme court over 10 years later and not given to the child’s parent to take care of that child…..the bar association has a lot to answer for….why did an injured bedridden man…go to his grave without his multimillion dollar pay out because the prominent lawyer connected to government and his sidekicks STOLE EVERY DIME….there are thousands of other cases just like those..

they have a lot to be concerned about…now that the world will know every sordid detail of their treachery against the Black population…concern is now en vogue.

I wonder when Mia is going to tell the AU about the MINORITY RULE in Barbados over Black lives and their finances, land and resources for the last 54 YEARS….i hope she didn’t think that she FOOLED THEM and they will never find out…..because I WILL MAKE SURE THAT THEY DO….so she needs to restrain herself from ANYMORE LIES AND DECEIT…ya are NOT ROBBING the continent to feed the racist minority trash in Barbados off the backs of our BIRTHRIGHT……

Africa knows about corruption in politics and business already and has it’s own problems of leaders helping themselves to wealth.
54 years is not long to achieve the best of changes from freedom of subordination and self rule and is less than a lifetime.
Presume you did not vote for Mia and unhappy she is leader as that is the starting premise and motive of everything that you say

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4OHU4Bv69o

  28. “Presume you did not vote for Mia and unhappy she is leader as that is the starting premise and motive of everything that you say.”

you get things wrong all the time, and i believe it’s because you are clueless to what goes on in Barbados because if you ever visited you never stayed long enough to know what’s really happening, excusable since Black victims of both corrupt governments are also clueless, they have lived on the island all their lives and still don’t know they are victims and seen as slaves.

you would be shocked to learn that i have nothing personal against Mia……replace her with any of the other frauds from the bar association or anyone believing that a colonial title makes them more than black and gives them the right to DISEMPOWER the majority population and the theme would be the same, i have a problem with CORRUPT POLITICIANS who are anti-black and self-hating….in case you don’t know Black people HAVE BEEN KILLED and destroyed socially and economically IN BARBADOS trying to assert their Africanness, Blackness and HUMAN RIGHTS..

i voted once in my life, just to see the outcome and that person will soon be sentenced…don’t think any politician would want me to vote for them….ever…and i vowed to NEVER VOTE FOR ANY POLITICIAN AGAIN…ever.

this is about HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS….on the island post-emancipation and post-independence..

.THEFTS OF PROPERTIES, land and bank accounts from the Black populatoin AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES since the 1960s.

.REFUSAL to apply JUSTICE for Black people at the Supreme Court..

…KEEPING THE POPULATION IN POVERTY DELIBERATELY TO ENRICH THEMSELVES AND RACIST MINORITIES

.KEEPING SLAVE LAWS from the 17th and 18th century in place on statute books

    , VIOLATING CHILDRENS’ HUMAN RIGHTS…

POLITICANS who SELLOUT to the highest bidder…

    yeah AND TORTURE OF CHILDREN…

..you seem to read the comments and then go along with whatever pops into your mind….stay focused…

  29. So Dr. Death…who was hot and ready to give Black people in Barbados lethal injections cause it sounded so much more humane than hanging, although dead is dead…actually found something constructive to say….i would imagine that Black boys get the same mistreatment and torture as the girls or worse, problem is, the same minister who tried to cover up the problems by firing the board is the same one who will direct a probe at the boy’s school, and we have learned that he can’t be trusted…..so that is a go nowhere endeavor, hope it does not cost the taxpayers anything, for yardfowls to feed.

“Don’t just probe the goings-on at the girls’ section of the Government Industrial School (GIS), but also look into the boys’ unit.

That was the impassioned plea yesterday from Government backbencher Dr Sonia Browne, who is calling for an investigation into the facility at Dodds, St Philip.”

  30. 555…save the lists.

REFUSAL to apply JUSTICE for Black people at the Supreme Court…..IN CIVIL MATTERS..

REFUSAL to recognize the human rights of the elderly or expedite their cases…… in violation of international law..

REFUSAL to recognize Black Human Rights and the international laws governing such that Barbados is signatory..

  37. Cranking out the oldest trick in the book”distraction number #54 ” to divert the focus from this situation. As I said keep your eyes on this situation.

Yes African Ansestry is a good test to determine the exact ethnic group howevever getting a full genectic makeuo of your ansestry through an Automosal DNA test will be crucial in knowing which ethnic groups/ country of origin makes it up and there are websites which break down the DNA results to be more in detail. Another tip is that an African can accuratley guess which ethnic group a persons ansestry is from by looking at them. However you will still need evidence.

@WARU To answer your first question in detail will have to be in a blog post or something similar because I cracked the code on why these beings are the way they are. This is a sumarized version of my hythopesis:

It all boils down to genetics and hijacking and perversing our culture to be so far removed from Africa and influenced by the colonizer country seen in the mediums of socialization that it keeps the genes forcefully acquired from a certain race to ALWAYS be active. The more active it is (along with grooming etc), the Afro descent will carry a Eurocentric mindset as well as a deep self hate for anything African and uplifting of everything relating that is non African (including the slick ways of keeping the people that look like them down) , the higher you go , the less African you should become and the evidence shows that with the leadership system and style held in the country as well as the value it upholds in terms of whose lives are prioritized in the country (on top of being groomed for the position(s) and selected based on coming from a cerain lineage that the purpose is to sell out for their own reason, there is more than one bloodline I might add. ) With that in mind , that is why they act the way they do, and majority of these sell outs and asleep people are unaware (or some are consciously aware of their actions) uphold this because the program was set up to keep that DNA active. In other words reenact and the colonial energy on the black majority population in order to keep the traumatized DNA from slavery to always be active.

On the flip side these traumatic events is to keep the DNA that our ansestors were forcibly put through to always be active. That is
why when certain things happen you see chaos in the public because the event brought to light triggered that and cause = effect and that energy caused by the outrage can go towards something based on intention whether it be good or bad.

Every cell has memory and any occourances that happen to someone no matter how long it is, will be remembered subconsciously because it is stored in the DNA. Our ancestors are inside of us and they are running through our veins and it can explain why people react to certain things or events. It is a trigger for them. These people know this as well and are always trying to harness the trauma stored in DNA to keep us “in line” by posting bad news every day and doing horrific acts. That is why it is important to question EVERYTHING , do inner work , clear programming , distance themselves from this program and learn about their roots so there is a foundation on an energetic level. When a person knows who they are , the system will not bend or break him/ her or dictate who they are.

There are a few individuals that are in tune to their African roots as well as the Rasta Community that were always African centered and their most recent project, the Akebulan Farming Projects intention is to bridge the gap Between Africa and Barbados as well as have another means of income for the BLACK MAJORITY population by using the lands that are ours. These small actions show that this country will not be lost and the African spirit is there , you just have to know where to look.

The ancestors are working overtime against these injustices. Just wait and see because these beings reign of terror is over.
Everything is coming to light and justice will be served in the spiritual.

“Barbados is a DIP Debtor in Possession so Mia’s hands would have been tied due to lack of monies for big sweeping changes..”
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What MAM came and found is the same ‘sinking’ debt the previous DLP administration claimed for 10 long years was the very reason it was unable to fulfil their 2008 and 2013 manifesto promises.

That is, a trail of debt to feed a habit of blatant conspicuous consumption which led to a trial of economic woes incurred by a BLP administration under the late Owen Arthur.

For a decade- dubbed by the current red administration as the “lost decade”- the previous administration used the 2008 international recession as an ongoing alibi for not dealing with the economic rot caused by the unaffordable and untenable habit of imported conspicuous consumption financed not through genuine earning of forex but through the borrowing of other people’s foreign money.

There is an old Bajan saying that: “Moon does run ‘til day cetch it”.

The current administration has been afforded the ‘perfect’ alibi called Covid-19 to do what the two previous administrations failed to do; that is bring Bajans into the daylight of reality.

Happy 84th birthday, Sir Llyod the ‘real’ man of vision and guts!
