To BLP Administration: Re. Covid 19 protocols

Submitted by William Parker

I wish to congratulate the BLP government on their handling of the Covid 19 in 2020.

Now that the various “versions” of the original Virus has reached here and the infection rate and deaths are spiralling out of control it is apparent to some, including me, that the government has no answers and is reacting and not pro-acting.

I understand the need for the current lockdown and we all know that 2 weeks is just a start and it will be needed for a lot longer.

However the shutting on the mini marts and way side vendors leaves a lot of us bewildered as the logic behind it. In the area that I live R&R convenience, Mikes Mini Mart, EZ mini Mart and all the others are closed. These were locally owned shops where the poor, and not so poor, could get a little credit until the NIS cheque arrives, when the Post Office reopens, and walk a short distance home in the fresh air.

Now these people have to get an occasional bus to Massy in Oistins, and mix with those in the shop and be infected not only by the current shoppers but those who were there one or two hours ago. Are you telling us that it is safer for a person, who does not have a car, to catch a ZR and travel to Oistins to get a few items than to visit the corner shop?

The word that I have heard from more than one person is that in the last shut down the Major Supermarkets lost a lot of revenue because people switched to minimarts and a lot of way side vendors started. Is the way to make sure that the large foreign owned companies got more of the pie? It certainly seems so.

You have closed them on weekends so their overall sales will increase and their overheads will decrease. Bajans have been very good in following the new rules, and rightfully so, but there is a growing undercurrent of frustration and if the government is not careful there will be mass disobedience. This will hurt everyone. I hope that you can take a pause and consider the additional hardships you are causing a lot of Barbadians.

Thank you. I am a proud Bajan and supporter of the BL&P in the last few elections.

Having said all of the above
Why would govt continue a policy which in effect. would throw fuel to the fire
That is where the burning questions are asked
Throwing gasoline on a fire with an expectation that the fire would subside is called intellectual suicide
Leaving the borders open to hiot spots is a reality infused into this problem which govt or no one can escaped or avoid

I promised to return, but the prosecution of nonsense adds validity to it.

Reminds me of the dozen of scenarios that you proposed end of 2020 and early 2021.

You are mixing up detection and infection, switching between desalination and waste water when it suits you and insinuating that covid-19 is being pushed through the pipes of Barbados.

    Have a great day.

Commenters have tried to explain to you many times how Grenada dodged a bull et when there was the outbreak of covid at Sandals in December. As usual you are married to what in in your head

    Xxcxccvvvvvvv

Grenada took one of many corrective measures to stop the spread from getting out of control
On the other hand Barbados continue its reckless policy of leaving its borders open to hot spots
Deal with that issue and stop playing the role of a political psychologist

  5. Mari
How long must we keep our borders closed? you were calling for them to be closed since last year.
Since the out break in barbados how many infected arrivals did we have? infact how many arrivals did we have?

Grenada had its borders opened to all the hot spots until they had a spike. When grenada open again next month the places that are hot spots now will still be hot spots then.

Why grenada dont remain closed until covid blows over? Why will they open back up next month other than to grab at the tourist dollars?

Here are two takeaways from Mr. Machin’s really bad week. First, Canadians are increasingly frustrated with the government’s response to the pandemic. Those with the means to do so are starting to act in their own best interest. That’s further fraying the social contract that holds this country together. Second, a furious response awaits those seen as somehow breaking the public trust. Just ask the otherwise smart guy who just lost one of the best jobs in finance
    +++++++

Just noticed that the Police have moved to the top of list in TO, can the Gov’ts both Federal and Provincial (Ontario) do worse?

  10. True or untrue
Insulin for diabetics is out of stock on the 166 sq. miles
Sources said restock would be in about two weeks
True or untrue checking for a friend

  11. Bad that there is a shortage if true.
maybe also be a good sign that the diabetics stocked up and keeping low

  12. Easing de pressha!

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley last week announced the phased reopening of the country from March 1. In relation to beaches, people may exercise and get a sea bath between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m., and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., daily.

The National Conservation Commission said in a brief statement that beaches will be supervised by lifeguards from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., daily.

  13. @Sarge
we have mass hypocrisy on all sides of the aisle, both public and private. The TO Police union, is VERY powerful. No surprise. And the ‘front line worker’ card to play. Many people are doing their best to ‘jump the line’, but not admitting it. Normal human behaviour?

  14. An interesting tidbit, largely because of whose mouth it emanated from. The context was locating funds to acquire vaccine doses.
“The BEST stimulus programme is undersubscribed, with only a small percentage of qualifying entities, 44 at last count, taking up the offer,” DePeiza said. “The programme can be scaled down and a portion of the $300 million redeployed.”
At some point we “may” find out, how much was actually subscribed, an of that, what was the compliance experience.

  15. Source said it has been about three weeks insulin out of stock
The last time they tried to get it
they and others were turned away
Hope govt soon get this under control
The elderly are the most at high risk those having underlying conditions like diabetics

  16. Heads of Government of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) announced the arrival of one hundred and twenty-five thousand (125,000) doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine donated by the Government and People of India. This shipment arrived at the VC Bird International Airport in Antigua and Barbuda on Monday, 1 March 2021 around 8:30 am. It follows a previous shipment received less than 2 weeks ago by Barbados and Dominica (who received 70,000 doses, a significant portion of which was shared with other OECS Member States).
Chairman of the Authority of the OECS, Prime Minister Hon Roosevelt Skerrit, and all of the Prime Ministers, have collectively and individually expressed their profound appreciation to the Government and People of India, and in particular to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for their generosity and solidarity in donating these vaccines.

India has been one of the first G20 countries to donate vaccines to developing countries and it now has a list of over 100 countries awaiting supplies provided by India. The OECS Heads of Government committed that Member States will be leveraging their bilateral diplomatic relations as well as sharing critical resources to ensure that every Member State is equipped to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

  17. Singapore has found 25 cases of the UK variant since December 23rd.

    https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/covid-19-b117-uk-variant-south-africa-singapore-25-cases-14069952

Practically all of its cases are imported with few days of community spread.

Since May 2020, only 24 days when all of its new cases were community spread and not imported.

Whatever they are doing the UK variant as contagious as it is reputed to be is not spreading there.

    https://imgur.com/k51lTqW

  18. “So from this week, to stem community spread in at least 11 communities, public health officials are set to go into those “hotspots” conducting between 1 500 and 2 000 swabs per day, Chief Medical Officer Dr Kenneth George revealed last night.”

For heaven’s sakes, just shut down the water to these communities and truck it in.

My bet is it is the desal plant alone that is responsible.

All other water sources have zoning restrictions protecting the wells.

  19. The GOB and its officials are going to look like extremely callous, uncaring fools if it turns out the water being supplied to these communities is carrying the virus in.

  20. This information was available from March and April 2020 when they updated..

    “ABC News

Research indicates that other coronavirus strains, such as SARS, can survive 12 days in room temperature tap water, two to three days in room temperature wastewater, and much longer in both at cooler temperatures, according to Dr. Ian Pepper, PhD, director of the University of Arizona Water and Energy Sustainable Technology (WEST) Center.

The survival of coronaviruses in water prompted labs around the country to begin using sewage monitoring as a means of tracking COVID-19.

MORE: As the US struggles with lack of coronavirus testing, researchers look to our sewage for clues
Although infectious droplets may contaminate water and the virus has been detected in wastewater, experts agree that when it gets into large bodies of water — like lakes, rivers and oceans — the concentration of the virus would be so diluted that it would be difficult to contract it.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there’s no evidence that people can become infected through recreational swimming, and “the risk of COVID-19 transmission through water is expected to be low.”

Tune into ABC at 1 p.m. ET and ABC News Live at 4 p.m. ET every weekday for special coverage of the novel coronavirus with the full ABC News team, including the latest news, context and analysis.

“It is extraordinarily unlikely,” said Dr. William Schaffner, MD, professor of preventive medicine and infectious disease at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

We also know that tap water is safe, according to the CDC and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and that pools, hot tubs and other chlorinated water sources are not a concern because the chlorine in the water inactivates the virus by disrupting the virus’ outer layer.

While experts agree it’s unlikely you will get infected with COVID-19 by recreational water activities, they did have another concern about resuming water activities: loosening social-distancing.

Recreational water activities are naturally social; beaches get busy as warm weather draws crowds, friends huddle under large umbrellas and lay side-by-side on towels, and the social atmosphere lends itself to the impetus to share a beer or lemonade by the waterside. While we can feel fairly assured the water itself is safe, experts agreed many of the other activities that accompany a day at the pool or by the beach are not.

A beach entrance is closed off along the boardwalk in Miami Beach, March 22, 2020.
Dr. Benjamin Gewurz, MD, PhD, infectious disease physician and associate chair of the Harvard Graduate Program in Virology, emphasized that the primary mode of COVID-19 infection is still person-to-person transmission, and the primary reason to avoid a fun weekend by the water would be to maintain a safe distance from others who could be infected. This is particularly important since people can have COVID-19 and not show any symptoms.

MORE: What to know about social distancing strategies amid coronavirus outbreak
In updated advice released March 2020 by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group, swimmers were advised to avoid swimming for now in efforts to practice social-distancing

“As we begin opening back up society and take baby steps toward becoming more normal, I think social-distancing needs to be maintained,” Dr. Schaffner said.

And skip sharing the drinks at the waterside.

“I would worry about the risk of sharing a glass of water with someone else, even if they drink from a different section [of the glass],” said Dr. Gewurz. “Infectious coronavirus is detectable in oral secretions of people infected with the coronavirus that causes COVID 19, and I would worry that these could be spread through sharing a [beverage].”

This info is old news, and has not changed.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Old news is just that, old news and it is fake news!!.

Here is a scientific paper first published in October 2020 which I have posted at least twice before.

    3 weeks or more!!

“This suggested that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is usually excreted in the stools of an infected person. A recent investigation demonstrated that the median lifespan of SARS-CoV-2 in the stool the specimens of the patients was up to 22 days (interquartile range of 17 and 31 days) (Zheng et al., 2020), which was remarkable longer than that of SARS-CoV-1 (only 4 days) (Lai et al., 2005). The study also indicated that SARS-CoV-2 can survive longer in the stool specimens (22 days, 17–31 days) than that in respiratory (18 days, 13–29 days) and serum (16 days, 11–21 days) ones (Zheng et al., 2020). In general, the faeces and urine from some COVID-19-infected patients are discharged into sewer systems and subsequently enter wastewater and sewage treatment systems/plants (Ahmed et al., 2020a; Collivignarelli et al., 2020; Qu et al., 2020). This can be considered as the primary route of SARS-CoV-2 transmission to water and wastewater (Barcelo, 2020; Collivignarelli et al., 2020; Chaudhry and Sachdeva, 2020) because SARS-CoV can remain its infectious in the tool specimens for >7 days at 20 °C (Lai et al., 2005). Schematic route of transmission for the SARS-CoV-2 virus is presented in Fig. 3 (Wigginton et al., 2015).”

“Depending on the inoculum shed, the viruses can remain viable and infectious on surfaces (up to a few days) and in aerosols (for hours).”

  22. There is another possibility besides spread through drinking water.

The sludge from the two sewage plants send up at Mount Stinkeroo!!

Heavy rains cause surface runoff and very often Holetown floods.

It ends up in the sea where it will survive as well!!

    https://imgur.com/TzorBC4

  23. “A recent investigation demonstrated that the median lifespan of SARS-CoV-2 in the stool the specimens of the patients was up to 22 days (interquartile range of 17 and 31 days) (Zheng et al., 2020), which was remarkable longer than that of SARS-CoV-1 (only 4 days) (Lai et al., 2005)”

ALL VIRUSES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL.

WHOEVER MADE THIS ONE MADE IT TO STAY AROUND LONGER THAN THE FIRST!!

  24. If the theory of Richard Drax aka John Knox is correct, we should all shower only with mineral water for 5 BBD per liter. That will be really expensive. Fortunately, this does not affect my grand swimming pool. There’s so much chlorine in it, I could kill half of Bridgetown with it.

  25. If it is the desal plant, lock it down.

There is still 44 million gallons per day available,

If it is the desal plant, it will feed various reservoirs.

It may be one in particular is getting the crud.

If that is the case the 11 or more hotspots will have one thing in common.

If a few hotspots are out of the supplied area, chances are the infected in those areas will have picked it up from one in a grouping of hot spots.

So what to do if it is from one … or two reservoirs fed by the desal plant?

Lock down the desal plant and dump whatever water is in the offending reservoir(s).

Disinfect …. can use UV a la Donald Trump.

Alternatively, if Donald Trump is verboden, wait five weeks or so for the virus to die in the reservoir(s).

Refill from sources other than the desal plant.

If necessary, ration but probably not necessary.

According to the internet the desal plant supplies 17% so inconvenience may be minor.

Best case scenario for us is if it is the desal plant.

    There are then straightforward solutions.

  26. “Depending on the inoculum shed, the viruses can remain viable and infectious on surfaces (up to a few days) ”

“The coronavirus can live for hours to days on surfaces like countertops and doorknobs. How long it survives depends on the material the surface is made from”

even that is in doubt…some scientists are not so sure…

since I don’t drink waste or sewage water, am going with the first determination….ALL water should be BOILED…Barbados’ water is very inferior especially of later it’s extremely dirty when distilled, you see it at that bottom….it should be boiled anyway…anyone drinking that water straight from a tap is taking their lives in their hands…ya more likely to get another disease from dirty water than Covid.

that’s what neglecting infrastructure causes, leaving pipes over a hundred years underground to deteriorate is the catalyst…hope they change all soon..

  27. If the water is clear when u get it from the tap and then leaves after “evaporation” ( usually in the bottoms of kettles) it is probably the calcium from disolved limestone

  28. @WURA-War-on-U March 3, 2021 8:07 AM “Worth researching for accuracy…but this is known to happen in TRIALS and yes, some people who took the vaccine in Barbados are getting violently ill…”

How do you know this? A request for vaccine reactions was published only on Monday. It is unlikely that all or even most of the responses are in.

Are you making up things as usual?

    • There is no evidence vaccine takers have gotten ill except for the usual symptoms. What we know is that there is a high demand to be vaccinated.

    https://barbadostoday.bb/2021/03/03/covid-19-update-23-new-cases-54-recovered-one-death/
Dashboard for Tuesday, March 2, 2021

    54 people discharged
742 test results [positivity rate 3.09%]
    23 newly infected people
    520 people in isolation
    1 new death
2,097 people were vaccinated on Tuesday
    43,235 people vaccinated in total

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

How come the dashboard does not say where the cases have occurred?

    Not even by parish?

How many occurred in St. Thomas up your side, or St. Lucy, or St. Philip etc.?

No deaths in Singapore since November 29th 2020 even though the supposedly deadly UK strain was detected there on 23rd December 2020.

Maybe the strain only affects black people as alleged in the various theories floating around.

23 new cases yesterday, same as Barbados but in a population of 5.7 million, about 20 times as large.

  30. Up to yesterday, Singapore had done 7,543,963 tests!!

Think about it, the population is about 5.7 million so it seems they have tested everybody and are now going around again!!

    So far 59,979 cases.

Less than 1% of the tests are positive.

  31. Bermuda doing well too, 12 deaths to date, 713 cases and 174,638 tests.

Bermuda seems to be doing something right.

“The primary source of water is rainwater collected by roof catchments followed by private and public supply wells. As there is little manufacturing in Bermuda, the predominant use of water is for domestic purposes and for services related to the tourism industry.”

    It also has desal plants.

Pretty difficult for sewage to get on top a roof!!

  32. RAINFALL
Bermuda receives an annual rainfall of over 1500mm per year – and there’s no “winter” or “rainy” season in Bermuda. It rains all year round! There are rainy days every single month with an average of five inches falling every month – though in recent years there have been some freakishly high monthly averages recorded.

Bermuda locals know they should take a raincoat wherever they go. This propensity for rain is part of what makes Bermuda so lush and green – as well as being the primary source of fresh water for the island.

But how does Bermuda capture this rainfall?

When you’ve looked at pictures of Bermuda, have you ever noticed the unique and beautiful roofs on Bermuda houses and buildings? They’re painted white, and they’re a signature of the island’s architectural heritage.

These roofs are more than just a pretty face though – they catch the rain! The secret lies in an innovative method that was pioneered over 400 years ago.

The roofs have a special design where the limestone they’re made from creates the “steps” of a shallow pyramid. This slows down the flow of rainwater as it falls and then it’s funneled into an underground tank. The white color serves a special purpose, too. It reflects ultra-violet light, which helps to purify the water as it’s being collected.

The technique harkens back to the time of the first settlers who had the idea to create paved terraces to catch the rainwater. Necessity is the mother of invention, after all, and without this clever idea, it would have been much harder to survive on the island.

This tradition quickly moved to rooftops and now it’s enshrined in law. Almost all roofs must be built in this manner (though many new constructions use concrete instead of limestone). The houses must also have an underground tank to store the captured water.

For the system to work, 80% of the roof needs to have adequate guttering and the storage tanks must have a capacity of at least 100 gallons for every 10 feet of roof space.

The limestone roofs also help to keep Bermuda buildings cool. Not only is this resourceful but also good for the environment. Researchers from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory of California have shown that a 1,000 square foot area of a rooftop painted white has about the same one-time impact on curbing global warming as cutting 10 tons of CO2 emissions.

When you combine the water-thriftiness that many Bermuda households practice with the climate research, this rainwater collection system makes the Bermuda rooftops not just practical, but sustainable as a good, clean renewable resource, as well.

  33. If the so called deadly and highly contagious UK strain is getting to Bermuda, it just isn’t spreading …. like Singapore.

  34. “Why are the roofs in Bermuda white?

It turns out they are designed this way to harvest rain. The steps slow down heavy rainfall helping the gutters to collect the water and store it in a tank under the house. … It’s still white, because this reflects ultra-violet light from the sun, which also helps to purify the water. Dec 23, 2016”

You realise of course that the birth rate in Barbados has been falling suggesting either that men are shooting blanks or women are too obese to conceive … or both.

The fall in birth rate has been occurring for decades.

    Perhaps its in the water!!

  40. … and we have obese politicians making decisions thinking they may be next.

Doesn’t make for rational dispassionate thought.

  41. Another country that has not only few cases (30) but also zero deaths is Greenland.

Its population is 56,836 and it has done 18,924 tests of which 30 were positive.

    That’s about 0.15%.

They get their water from lakes and rivers.

Surface water but probably in areas where there is no sewage.

  42. With a shortfall of NIS also an aging population
I believe Mottley would soon be able to use the Nis problem to put forward a policy of increased immigration for the county
One that is tabled on what have been ssid previously by past administrations pertaining to a low birth rate in Barbados
These two combined can be strategically outlined to the people as necessary foundations to help finance the NIS problen
However the downside being that the country production level is very low to include more immigrants

  43. @ Angela

You are right. That is why there is talk about increasing the population by 80000; it is the kind of lazy thinking that will appeal to the president.
It is based on elementary pensions reasoning. In a pay-as-you-go state pensions system, the generation in work pay national insurance that goes towards the pensions of the retired.
But if the retired are more than the working population there is a potential crisis, called the demographic time-bomb in the jargon. There is also an associated spin off related to economic growth. Ignore that.
It is flawed thinking. I have said on numerous occasions that what is really needed is a radical overhaul of the entire system.

  44. Our Corona figures have stabilized at a very low level. All old and vulnerable people are vaccinated.

Our government must now govern with a cool head and not give in to the radical opposition that wants to seal off our island for generations and turn it into a kind of North Korean concentration camp in the Caribbean.

We should urgently prepare for our British guests. Those who have been vaccinated twice and can prove a negative test should be allowed to enter WITHOUT quarantine. It would be totally irrational, even RACIST, to terrorize tourists here even further by quarantine, as the nationalist-socialist opposition would like.

not everyone responds to medication, food or anything else the same way…..besides, other people got ill from vaccines around the world, so what would make Barbados so special when they did not develop the vaccine and HOLD NO PATENT FOR IT…oh, i forgot, yall didn’t have community spread either, and you didn’t believe there was…. so i don’t know why the hell ya even need a vaccine for….steuppps.

ya have a government known for lying and covering up and ya so intelligent, ya believe everything they put out there….

You wouldn’t believe who got the vaccine after killing hundred of thousands with his nonsense.

Thank you for your numbers. Our beloved government is on the right track.

Thank you, Mia Mottley! We are already looking forward to the cash flow from the many British tourists from Easter on.

  52. Cuddear…still waiting for you to comment on the other Mia blog, it’s still open, so why are you avoiding it.

  54. John;

    This is really getting tiresome!

Please provide some proof that there is sewage in Barbados’ drinking water and that sewage contaminated water is the reason for last month’s increases in the incidence of positive Covid cases and Covid deaths. Otherwise, look for another rabbit hole to explore. E.g. that Trump and Melania got their vaccination shots (when he was still President) to provide an example for his followers that the vaccines were safe but the dog ate the tapes he was planning to use in his PR campaign. For, as you well know, Trump should really get all the credit for the Vaccination programme. or that it was actually BLM adherents that totally carried out the violent January 6th insurrection while dressed as Proud boys and Qanon and Militia members.

Your current campaign of misinformation is pure sewage and even more ridiculous than your usual ones as the recent uptick in cases here can be easily explained as being the result of a new more aggressive and virulent strain of Covid-19 becoming dominant over the original wild type, along with much of our population relaxing their vigilance re. masking, social distancing and hand sanitization.

Why yuh don’ get some specific water quality tests done here? Why don’t you harvest some other statistics re. the countries you promote as controlling Covid through their control of water quality to make your case stronger?

Mr. Johnny the Diviner, which “desal plant” are you referencing here?

Are you focusing your periscope on the one in Barbados?

We hope you are aware by now that your intellectual integrity has been blow sky-high out of the water since you Odyssey with the insane Trump as your captain of the ship the SS Political Doomsday which was blown clean out of the water by a simple old-fashioned torpedo marked: ‘This one is for you, Jerk: From Ole sleepy Joe’.

If the desal plant in Barbados, based of your watered down argument, is the main conduit for the spread of Covid-19 in Barbadoes shouldn’t the vast majority of the people living in that desal catchment and distribution area be infected with the virus and stand out like a sore thumb of a super spreader with many deaths ‘arising’ in that densely populated conurbation?

  56. Oh dear me! It is March 5th and Biden is still president.

No Kraken sighting as yet! And the Kraken Crier now wears a muzzle..

Furthermore, the coronavirus has not disappeared since the election and private citizen Donald Trump secretly took the vaccine for the Democrat Hoax disease.

So much for the “scholarship” of John Knox!

Bring me a glass of desal!

  57. Johnson and their one-and-done.

“NYC finally receives Johnson & Johnson’s 1-shot COVID vaccine

ammm err … ahhh well no!!

It depends where the water from the desal plant goes to, which reservoir.

The reservoir will determine who gets from who doesn’t get.

…. not the source of the water!!

You are out of your depth here!!

Stop with your pettifogging ad hominems and that tell story of a death sentence to the thousands of households in the St. James South constituency which has one of the highest number of upscale housing ‘developments in Barbados.

Based on your argument the only people who would be left alive from the Covid infestation of the desal plant output would be those ‘incarcerated’ in that funny farm on Black Rock.

How do you know this? A request for vaccine reactions was published only on Monday. It is unlikely that all or even most of the responses are in.

Are you making up things as usual?

    Stop deflecting

Where is ur evidence of people in Barbados becoming violently ill after taking that vaccine

  63. There are enough issues for us to discuss and make our cases without having to drag in additional and at times possibly spurious information.

  64. “Where is ur evidence of people in Barbados becoming violently ill after taking that vaccine”

So Fowl Slave that you are, ya are not asking Mia for her EVIDENCE OF CORRUPTION IN BARBADOS….nor why no one went to prison for the 6 BILLION DOLLARS OR MORE THAT’S MISSING…but you are ASKING ME SHITE…ya see why none of you SLAVES can ever get as much as a kiss my ass from me…unless am really pissed off…

so you want the names of the people who SHOWED AN ADVERSE reaction to a vaccine…AS OCCURS EVERYWHERE…..so you can feel like the idiot that you are..

..just don’t start spreading rumors that Barbados IS THE ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD THAT NO ONE SHOWED AN ADVERSE REACTION to a vaccine that EVERY COUNTRY HAVE PEOPLE WITH WHO SHOWED ADVERSE REACTION……yall went spreading shit that the island was virus safe and even LIED WHEN YA HAD COMMUNITY SPREAD….and am supposed to answer YOUR IGNORANCE….

    keep holding ya breath..

  65. The vaccines manufacturers are not saying that there are no adverse reactions, but the ignoramuses in Barbados are…. AS THEY WERE EXPECTED TO by all the manufacturers and those WHO HOLD THE PATENTS…….the vaccine manufactureres in India specifically states that their vaccine is NOT RISK AVERSE….but the BU clowns know so much better…the only people in the world who won’t show an aversion to vaccine, but they didn’t have community spread either so go figure….all across the world some people are showing some type of reaction, some mild, medium or severe, but not in Barbados according to BU doctors…ah keep begging the delusional BU Slaves to stay the hell away from me, you want fantasy and i deal in reality.

another report says those adverse reactions in the US have gone upward by a few thousand.

“February 1, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – At least 271 people have died after being vaccinated for COVID-19 as of January 22, according to U.S. government data released on Friday. The deaths were reported to VAERS, the vaccine injury tracking system for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

A total of 9,845 adverse events possibly linked to the COVID-19 vaccines made by Pfizer and Moderna have been recorded by VAERS so far, although the actual number of cases is likely far higher.

Individual searches cannot be linked from VAERS, but readers can find the data on the CDC’s online search tool here. MedAlerts, a popular, third-party CDC data aggregator is currently down.

VAERS, a voluntary surveillance system, picks up only around 1% of vaccine injuries, a 2010 report by Harvard researchers found.

One VAERS report states that 179 people have died since receiving Pfizer’s jab and that 94 have died who were given the Moderna vaccine. New data will be published by VAERS every Friday.

Anothers VAERS report indicates that the majority of these deaths have occured within 48 hours of the vaccine being administered.

More than 25 million Americans have received doses of either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna shots, which were authorized for emergency use last month after less than a year in development. The vaccines, which are still technically experimental, do not purport to prevent asymptomatic COVID-19 infections or to last longer than one year. At least one congressman already has tested positive for the virus after getting both doses of the Pfizer shot.

A twenty-eight-year-old man with no pre-existing conditions or listed medications was “found unresponsive at work” in New Jersey two weeks after getting the Pfizer vaccine in December, one VAERS report relates. He was pronounced dead after being put on cardiac life support.

In Arizona, an 88-year-old woman with arthritis and high blood pressure experienced “[i]nitial pain in back of head and extreme headache” and vomiting after taking the Pfizer shot.

“At emergency, [she] went into [a] coma and was intubated,” her write-up reads, adding that she had a [h]ole drilled in [her] skull to relieve pressure.”

“Lot of bleeding in brain – anuerism lead to death approximately 14 hours after initial symptoms,” the report adds.

An older Florida man with a “clean bill of health” “became sick 3 hours after the vaccine and was found deceased 1 day after his vaccination,” a write-up from early January states. A 45-year-old mother in Georgia died “in the middle of the night” following vaccination with the Moderna jab the day before, another report reads. Nearly identical cases have been reported across the U.S., like those of Miami obstetrician Dr. Gregory Michael and a pro-vaccine healthcare worker in California.

VAERS notes the incidents of four elderly women, most of whom had survived COVID-19, all dying in Kentucky nursing homes on the same day within hours of receiving Pfizer shots from the same lot.

Eight unborn babies, many of them late-term and otherwise healthy, also were miscarried or stillborn soon after their mothers received the Pfizer vaccine, according to VAERS. Pfizer has warned that “pregnancy should be excluded” before vaccination.

VAERS also reports dozens, if not hundreds, of debilitating, non-fatal reactions to the vaccine, including seizures, cardiac arrest, and hemorrhage.

COVID-19 vaccine makers, as well as the FDA, have total immunity from liability related to injuries caused by the vaccines, and there are few legal remedies for victims or their families. The federal program tasked with handling compensation requests from COVID-19 vaccine injuries has denied 90% of claims in the last ten years.

The new data from comes just days after the National Institutes of Health upgraded its recommendation of ivermectin, a generic, viral-inhibiting drug that has been shown to treat the virus. Several observational studies and randomized trials have demonstrated that ivermectin substantially lowers the risk of death from COVID-19 without serious presenting side effects.”

  66. Someone should invite all the vaccine manufacturers to use Barbados as their experimental lab, since the population don’t show any adverse reactions to vaccines…..ya can call it guinea pig island….and yall dumb leaders greedy already so ya will make enuff, enuff money..

  67. Wuh ya can even call it Guinea Pig Tourism, with the local people as the guinea pigs…yall know how ya like to be on show already and proud of being slaves….this time ya will be serving a purpose..

am sure Cuddear and John2 and a few other superhumans can take a load of experimental vaccine and shrug it off…..ah look forward to the advertisements…

  68. The only fools on here are THE SLAVES…..and their IGNORANT SELVES…trying to sell themselves as guinea pigs with no adverse reactions…..but don’t even know what the future holds in that respect.

In my estimation, business is business, ya either play or ya don’t…no inbetweens.

Legal immunity & state assets as collateral: Latin American govts ‘held to ransom’ by Pfizer during vaccine talks, report says

A number of Latin American countries have reportedly experienced extremely aggressive negotiating tactics by US pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, which has demanded full immunity from any civil claims and state assets as a guarantee.
The questionable negotiating tactics by the pharmaceutical giant have been highlighted in a fresh report by the UK-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism (BIJ). Officials from Argentina, as well as from another unspecified Latin American country, talked to the outlet, describing Pfizer’s approach to negotiations as “high-level bullying” that made the governments feel like they were being “held to ransom.”

Argentina was among the first countries to begin negotiations with the company. The talks started last June, yet ultimately flopped as Pfizer’s demands became less and less reasonable, an official told the BIJ.

Pfizer-BioNTech tried to gouge the EU with 65-DOLLAR vaccine doses, German media report
The pharmaceutical giant assertively demanded additional clauses that would make it immune against any civil claims citizens might file over side effects from receiving the Pfizer jab. While a new bill regulating the vaccination process was adopted in October, the company was still unhappy with its wording, as it did not grant full immunity to pharmaceutical companies but rather allowed a change of jurisdiction established in advance in the contract. Pfizer ultimately requested a “new law” from the government, then-Health Minister Gonzalez Garcia said in December, describing the demands as “somewhat unacceptable.”

“Argentina could compensate for the vaccine’s adverse effects, but not if Pfizer makes a mistake,” the official, cited by BIJ, said. “For example, what would happen if Pfizer unintentionally interrupted the vaccine’s cold … and a citizen wants to sue them? It would not be fair for Argentina to pay for a Pfizer error.”

The company then urged Argentina to take out international insurance to pay for potential future cases against the manufacturer, and ultimately demanded that it put up unspecified sovereign assets as collateral in December.

“We offered to pay for millions of doses in advance, we accepted this international insurance, but the last request was unusual: Pfizer demanded that the sovereign assets of Argentina also be part of the legal support,” the official said.

It was an extreme demand that I had only heard when the foreign debt had to be negotiated, but both in that case and in this one, we rejected it immediately.

Argentina is not the only Latin American country to have faced these tactics – Brazil went public in late January with its condemnation of the “abusive” negotiations. According to the country’s Health Ministry, Pfizer demanded to be indemnified from civil cases and urged the government to create a guarantee fund deposited into a foreign bank account. Brazil was asked to put up assets as collateral as well.”
