One of the first verses we were taught to memorize as teens was 2 Timothy 2:15. i.e  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 

One of the major divisions a believing Bible student must grasp is the most important division between LAW & GRACE.  This is thus the subject of this week’s SWEET SUNDAY SERVICE. 

I have copied some very good tables on this topic put together by a few stalwarts of the faith that encapsulates all that ought to be grasped from the Bible about this most important topic.   

In addition, one can easily now access chapter 6 of C. I. Scofield’s monumental work that explains this important divisions in scripture  entitled “ Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth”, first published in 1896, on line at http://www.biblebelievers.com/scofield/scofield_rightly06.html

    Spiritual laws and grace are intuitive and do not need books and libraries to understand.
    USA has proven it’s political and legal system is partisan and biased home and abroad.
    Trump has been impeached twice for collusion with Russians and spreading insurrection.
    But, Republicans have proven they have no integrity and are subjective and not objective when it comes to justice.
    Fuck ’em.

    IF YOU READ THROUGH JOHN’S GOSPEL, IN EVERY CHAPTER YOU WILL SEE THE CONCEPT OF LAW VERSUS GRACE REVEALED
    In the first chapter of John’s gospel, the leading ideas of the book are all there mentioned.
    These concepts are then expanded on as the book unfolds.
    The concept of law v grace is presented in verse 17 thus
    For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
    This concept is expounded on in every chapter of the book.
    The Lord Jesus Christ taught on law and grace by demonstraing grace.

    Jesus did speak on law and forgiveness
    Both which was widely demonstrated and accepted
    The word grace and Faith was mentioned in several of Paul’s teaching

    Paul repeats throughout letters that, by the grace of God, a man is saved by faith in Christ rather than by keeping the Law of Moses – or as the apostle often states, the” works of the law”.

    in John 8 we see that the law required that the woman caught in adultery should be stoned……..but by grace we see that she was forgiven by Jesus

    in John 2 we see that the water pots required for ceremonial cleansing were empty–symbolism the emptyness of Judaism……but Jesus in grace ordered them to be filled and produced very good wine that pictured the blessings of the new covenant
